"Armaan" she whispered, "Armaan"

She could have sworn he had just come from some magazine photo shoot. The hair, the black pants, the white shirt, the watch, the shoes, the clean shaven face, the amazing cologne,
oh hell the whole thing was picture perfect. She was so lost in this gorgeous professor of hers that for a moment she had forgotten where she was until Muskaan pulled her out of
it.

But before she could fully recover he began talking again in that husky voice of his, "Seeing as all of you are silent I guess I'll keep talking. See guys I don't want to be like a regular teacher or professor I want you to come in here and be comfortable, alright? So please stop staring at me like I'm going to eat you, any questions?"

"What? No questions! None of you have anything to ask me?" he said. "Really? Come on don't be shy!" No one in the class spoke, Armaan smiled, "Alright then I guess we'll just take attendance" He began calling out names.

Just then Muskaan's phone vibrated, she looked and saw that it was a text from Shilpa. "What?" Muskaan whispered. "Read it!" Shilpa replied. Muskaan just shook her head and pulled out her phone, as soon as she read "OMG! OMG! I think I love him" Muskaan couldn't help but laugh out loud, quite loud and the entire class turned and looked at their table.

"What's up ladies?" Armaan asked as he slowly began to approach their table.

Side Note: Shilpa being the hopeless romantic that she was always managed to fall in "love" with the most random of people and in the shortest little while imaginable. It
began with her crush on the delivery boy at her father's store. That crush happened a mere 7 minutes after she met him, and a minute after he told her that Kishore Kumar is his favorite singer. Then there was that boy at the local pizza joint, even Muskaan thought he was good looking but Shilpa seemed to think he looked real good and so fell in love! These two were followed by the nerd who always sat at the back of the class, the cab driver who was always by the station, the McDonalds manager and God knows how many more. The point is that when most girls go "Oh he's cute" Shilpa says "Oh I love him!"

The closer he came the faster her heartbeat got. She felt like a three old girl who was walking towards the world greatest Barbie. It was an odd and childish excitement. Now he was just a few steps from their table and Shilpa had no idea what she would say when he asked why they were laughing. That excitement very quickly turned to terror.

"What's so funny ladies?" he asked again.

Muskaan and Shilpa just looked up at him. It was as if he could see the fear in their eyes and he responded to it with a smile.

"Don't worry, laughing isn't a crime, I'm just glad someone broke that awkward silence!" he said. Both girls let out a sigh of relief and smiled back at him.

"Back to attendance then" he said and walked back to the centre of the class.

Muskaan and Shilpa looked at each other and smiled as if to say "We survived". As soon as that fear was gone the giddiness came back, Shilpa again set her eyes on the man at the front.

"Muskaan" he read. Muskaan simply raised her hand and he replied with a nod.

"Shilpa", there was no response, "Do we have a Shilpa...Shilpa Malhotra here", still no answer.

Muskaan looked over at Shilpa who was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even hear him say her name. She pinched Shilpa out of lala land. "Oh...here.....Sir" Shilpa said.

"Shilpa, its Armaan!" he asserted. Shilpa's insides melted, he said 'Shilpa' so beautifully she thought.

The class continued there were a few courageous souls that spoke, there were also those like Shilpa and Muskaan who sat there silent. As the hour neared an end Armaan assigned an assignment for the next class and ended with a "See you next guys, hopefully we'll all have something to say" he said while looking at Muskaan and Shilpa's table. "Good night all!" he ended.

Shilpa and Muskaan walked out of class and being Shilpa's best friend Muskaan knew exactly what was about to happen. "So let me hear it" she said. "OH MY GOSH Muskaan he's gorgeous! Kya look hai" she said.

"Shilpa, you're crazy!"

"Why? Don't you think he looks good?"

"Ummm he's okay I guess but not gorgeous!"

"Muskaan! Did you not look at him properly, I think I..."

"Yeah Yeah You LOVE him"

"Muskaan I'm serious! I think I may actually love him!"

"Oye, he's your teacher so calm down"

"When do we have this class again?"

"On Thursday"

"What? It's only Monday! I have to wait two whole days to see him again!"

"Shilpa you really are crazy! You've known this man for like 30 minutes!"

"So it only takes one sight to fall in love" Shilpa said with dreamy eyes and a smile that covered half her face.

"That's what you said about the delivery guy" Muskaan laughed!

"Shut up! This one is real! I swear"

"Thats what you said about the pizza guy"

"Oh whatever Muskaan, you won't understand"

"I don't want to"

With that Muskaan and Shilpa began to argue once again and this time over the silliest of things. But Muskaan did raise one good point to which Shilpa had no answer. "Okay fine forget the fact that all you know is his name, you've known him since this evening, or that you've only seen him once, forget all that he's your TEACHER!" Muskaan asserted. Shilpa just looked Muskaan hoping that Muskaan would have the answer to her own question and sadly she did. "Exactly"

Shilpa got home late that night, walking back from Muskaan's she kept on thinking about this new gorgeous teacher of hers. She assumed that this was one of those normal crushes that girls have when they see good looking men, sort of like her crush on half of the movie stars out there and that Muskaan was right, he was her teacher and it would be best if it was left at that.

But despite all that her heart was still waiting for Thursday night when she would Armaan Malik again!
