Hey guys...so here is the next part!! Again sorry for the long wait!!
Part 10
Maan: Actually Geet I wanted to give you this gift and also ask you something he said walking up to her inches away.
Geet: Wh..What?! she said moving back and bumping into a table.
Maan moved even closer and was moving his hand closer to her neck.
Geet felt very uncomfortable and her heart was racing really quickly now and she was breathing heavier.
Maan tugged at the collar of Geet's buttoned down shirt.
Maan: I wanted to ask you, do you love my shirt so much that you wore it again?
Geet was left surprised at his question..she really thought he was going to ask something else. Her mouth opened to think up an excuse..why was she wearing the shirt anyway?
Geet: Ahh well..actually I was in a rush...and the shirt happened to be hanging there so I I...
Maan chuckled: It's ok, ok no need to get embarrassed, I know me and my things are hard to resist, he winked.😉
Geet: Excuse mee...what did you say?
Maan: Ahh nothing really. he smiled...well will you give me this shirt back or no? I want it back right now he said mischievously while fiddling with the buttons on Geet/his shirt. Geet's uncomfort was reaching a new height with this level of closeness between them making her take big steps backwards.
Geet: Yea I'll just change right now..she said turning around to rush away when Maan grabbed her hand from behind.
Maan: Well if you are unsure what to wear, and you seem to like my taste..he said glancing at her shirt and making Geet blush..then I'll solve your problem..he handed her the gift bag..Now get ready fast I believe we have a date pending..
Geet: Date?!
Maan: Yes date! I won't believe that you forgot about it so easily, I am really sorry we were supposed to go before and then I got sick and everything..so I have to make it up to you right? So get ready I am waiting he smiled.
Geet blushed and quickly went into her room. For some reason her heart was beating really fast as she opened the gift bag.
Inside she found a red sweater type baby doll dress. It was very pretty and Geet quickly took out some leggings that she could wear with it along with some high-heeled boots. As she was rummaging through the closet, she came across the red shawl again that Maan had given her as a taxi driver (she smiled thinking about their first encounter). She started to put on the dress but found it difficult to zip it up from the back. The zip was quite low and her hands for some reason couldn't get it to reach all the way to the top. As she tried harder she found that it got stuck.
Geet: Uh oh she thought in her head, what to do now. Well it wasn't that much of a big deal she reasoned she would just put her hair down her back and the shawl over her and the zip wouldn't be a problem at all. Coming up with this solution, Geet quickly put on some light make-up did her hair and stepped out all ready to go.
As Geet got out of her room in her red dress, high heeled black boots, her hair open and to a side, Maan couldn't help but stare. His gaze lingered on the shawl he had given her and he smiled.
Maan walked up to her and held her hand.
Maan: You look beautiful
Geet blushed. Maan gave her his arm.
Maan: Shall we get going?
Geet nodded, she grabbed her coat and they left the apartment.
It wasn't that cold outside but the aftermath of the blizzard was very much there in the form of piles of snow at every corner of the street.
As they headed out of the building, Geet thought that maybe they would get in a car but they kept on walking.
Geet: Maan aren't we going to take your taxi.
Maan: Geet we are not going that far, and plus it'll take us twice the time to go in the taxi with all this traffic. Why is there a problem?
Geet looked down at her boots. Well I wore these thinking we would go in your taxi, how am I going to walk in the snow with these.
Maan: Is this an excuse for me to pick you up again? He winked.
Geet: What?!! No no..ahh..it's fine I am not complaining..I'll walk.
Maan: Don't worry I won't let you fall. Maan smiled.
They continued to walk, with Geet holding Maan's arm even tighter at every occasional slip over an icy sidewalk.
They were almost at the restaurant for their date when they came across a big pile of snow that was impossible to walk around.
Maan and Geet looked at each other.
Maan: Ahh Geet I think we are just going to have to walk through this, I mean our shoes will be covered in snow but we could just dust it off right.. Are u going to be able to walk through it with those boots and you want me to help?
Geet: No I think I can manage, she didn't want to have any more incidents of falling in the snow with him, as Geet remembered what had previously happened.
So they both trudged through the heap of snow to the other side of the street. Just as Geet was almost to the other side, she realized one of her boots was stuck in the snow and she couldn't get her leg out. She pulled it as hard as she could and yelped.
Maan came over to help her get her foot out. He bent down on his knees and held her leg and moved some snow to get it out.
Apparently the heel of her boot had gotten stuck to some sticky material beneath the snow and when Maan did get Geet's leg out of the snow, her foot was fine but the boot..well that was another story.
Maan: Err Geet I think we have a problem..Maan said as he held Geet's foot in one hand while she kept her balance and the broken heel of her boot in the other.
Geet: OMG oh no...what am I going to do now? How am I going to walk? OMG this is soo embarrassing.
Maan: Geet..calm down, don't worry, we will figure something out, till then just hold my hand and walk ok.
So Geet hopped along on one foot in the snow holding Maan's hand till they came across a lot of shops.
Maan: Hey Geet I think we should just buy you some new shoes, he said as they stopped in front of a shoe store, what do you say?
Geet: Ok it's better then me walking around with s broken boot and people giving me weird looks.
So they stepped inside the shoe store.
Geet looked around trying to find some boots that would go with her dress and not create too many problems for her to walk in the snow. Maan walked behind holding her hand if she needed to balance.
Geet picked out a pair of boots to try on and she sat down on the bench. The store was extremely hot because of the blazing heater so Geet took off her coat and put it to the side.
As she took out the shoes from the box, she realized they weren't her size, it was one of those cases where the box says one size and inside is another.
Maan stood beside her, waiting impatiently for her to get her boots so they could head for their date.
Geet called over one of the helper guys to ask for her size. He was a cute young guy and Maan didn't like the way he was smiling at Geet.
He came over with the box of boots that were of Geet's size from the storeroom, and handed them to Geet.
Guy: Here you go Ma'am, he said smiling as he handed the box over to Geet.
Maybe Maan was imagining too much, but felt that the guy touched Geet's hand and that too a bit too long as he handed her the box..and this really irked Maan.
Geet smiled back at him and sat down to try on the boots.
Maan was hoping that now that the guy had helped them he would walk away but he didn't and Maan glared at him as he stared at Geet's back.
Maan looked back towards Geet and then noticed the reason for the behooda guy's staring.
As Geet was bending down to try on her boots, the zip to her dress had started to slip down. Her shawl had fallen over to one side and her back was being revealed openly as the zip was reaching almost half way down her back.
Maan gave one look to the drooling guy who he could just about punch in the face right now for staring at Geet like that before he walked in front of Geet's back blocking the store guy's view.
Geet was in the middle of trying on the boot when she felt a great tug to her arm as she was pulled into someone's half embrace and practically dragged to the side somewhere. She felt the warmth of someone's breath a bit to intensely on her skin. Ofcourse by now she knew that this was none other then Maan but why he had behaved such she couldn't figure out.
It all had happened so fast she didn't even realize where she was brought.
It was a fitting room for the apparel section, which was right next to the shoe section.
Maan pulled Geet into one of the stalls and she gasped as he closed the door.
