Armaan looked at her bewildered, was she joking? But she appeared very innocent and anxious, no trace of lie anywhere in her eyes.

The rain was falling really heavily making visibility almost to none. He stopped the car on road side and tried to think.

Armaan,'' any idea in which colony you live.''

Geet,''no, take me back to college, I am sure driver will be waiting for me. He was just late.''

Armaan,''and if the driver is still not there, then what will you do?''

Geet was starting to feel really anxious now, she was in a strange car with a total stranger and she could not even go outside the car in this rain, all her clothes will become wet. College was some distance back, and she was not sure she will be able to find her way back. She could feel tears gathering in her eyes but she sternly admonished herself, be brave everything will turn out to be ok. This guy seemed decent.

Geet,''i will go to cafe and wait.''

Armaan,'' ok I will wait with you.''

Geet,''no its ok, I will be fine.''

Armaan looked at the slightly scared trying to be brave girl and an unknown tenderness awoke inside him, he didn't know why but he wanted to help this girl. He said nothing deciding to stay with her until her driver arrived.

He turned the key in ignition and turned the car back toward the college. Suddenly a thought came into his mind,''what was your last name?''

geet,''ahh khaurana.''

Armaan,''are you by chance related to khauranas, the owners of khaurana group of industries?''

Geet,''yeah, I am Ma.. I am a relative.''

Armaan laughed,''then, there is no problem, I can take you home, there house is a block away from mine. In fact, my grand pa knows Savitari devi, so he can give the address.

Geet still hesitant said,''are you sure, you know my address?''

Armaan grinned,''don't worry I will take you home. He turned car toward his area.''

7:00 pm

Maan came out of the meeting room with Mr. Bakhshi, his client, feeling really tired but glad that the deal was still on. This was the first time that he had shown such unprofessional attitude. The client had waited for him for 2 hours in the morning.

Maan,''your project is my number one priority and in fact, I am going to personally handle this project.''

Mr. Bakhshi,'' we will really appreciate it mr. khaurana, and I am sure that with you looking after this project, there will be no problems.''

Maan,''you can count on that.''

After Mr. Bakhsi was gone, maan went back to his office and sat on his chair. There was knock on the door and his secretary came in.

''sir, these are your appointments for tomorrow and these projects, she highlighted two projects need

your approval to move forward.''

Maan read the project names and said,''get the relevant files, I will take them home with me and tell adi that I will be handling Bakhsi project myself.''

Secretary,''yes sir. And sir there was a call from your home but you had strictly said to not disturb you in meeting, so I took the message for you.'' she handed maan a page.

Maan,'' you can go now.''

after she was gone, maan read the message, it was from the head servant, nakul telling that the car used to take Ma'm geet had an accident, nothing major but it needed to be taken to garage for repair.

The other 2 cars were taken by savitari devi and dev. So, pick up geet ma'm from college at 3:00.

Maan disbelievingly read the note once again and then, looked at time 7:15. he tore away from his office in hurry.

Armaan stopped the car in front of a big iron gates. Geet looked worriedly at him.

Geet,''this is not my home.''

Armaan pressed on horn again and said,''i know, this is my home. I just need to ask grand pa the exact directions to your home.''

Geet,''but you said you know my home address?''

Armaan was about to reply when the gate was opened by watchman and he slid the car through the gates.

Geet nervously held the corners of her duppatta in her hands. She looked outside, the car moved through the driveway toward the porch. To the either sides of drive way, huge lawns were present but every thing appeared dark in the heavy rainfall, no light was visible. The lightening striked the sky at frequent intervals illuminating everything for one glorious moment and then everything went dark again.

Suddenly a male hand grabbed her shoulder geet shrieked.

Maan reached the college which was present at the outskirts of city. He kept checking time, it was nearly 8:00, it was raining heavy making it difficult to drive. He called home to ask nakul if geet had arrived home but he said no.

What was geet's mobile number? He thought to call meera and ask, she was bound to know about it.

Meera picked up phone on second ring.

Meera,'' hello. Maan?

Maan too worried to say, hello hi said,''i need to know geet cell number.''

meera,''geet's number? But she doesn't have any cell?

Maan,''any of her friends number?''

meera.''why whats wrong?''

maan,''i will tell later just give me her friend contact number or talk to them and ask if geet is with them''

meera really worried now said ok and called pari sis and from her got pari number and called pari.

Meera,'' hi pari its me meera.''

pari sat up on the bed and said,'' hi meera di. Is everything ok, you sound worried.''

meera,''is geet there with you?''

pari,''no.''

meera,''did she went with any of her other friends,

pari,''no she don't have any other friends. But what happened?''

meera,''i will call you later. bye.''

she shut the call and called maan, no she is not with any of her friends.
