'Phir se wohi baat. Phir se wohi jagraata. Kyun mummy hamesha yeh karti hain. Mujhe kuch nahin samaj aata.' Divya thought to herself as she was walking back to the khhoti from her maikay.
As she was about to enter the house she sees a Sood car drive up to the Sharma house and Viren gets out of the car first and opens the door for Nivi who has groceries in her hand. Divya watches as Viren takes most of the bags from Nivi's hand and the two walk into the Sharma house where Naintara daadi meets them at the door.
As Divya starts to walk back to the khhoti, she has flashbacks of the day she was coming back to her susral from her Phag Phere.
*(flashback) Divya is ready to go back home when her mom says "Kitne jaldi yeh din guzaar gaye. Ab Siddarth aakar tujhe ghar le jayega aur yeh teri maa hain na, phir sey akeli hojaye gi." Aditya brings her suitcase and tells her how much he will miss her even though she's just a few feet away. Then her dad tells her how even with her not even five minutes away, the house feels empty without her and how they always miss her. Divya gets emotional and says how she misses them all the time too.
They all wait two hours for Siddarth to come take Divya back to her susral but he never comes. After a while the house phone rings and Hemleta picks up. Sid tells Hemleta that some important work came up and so he can't pick Divya up. Hemleta tells him that it's no problem and he should take care of the business as Aditya can walk Divya back home. Siddarth thanks her and hangs up. Divya hears that Siddarth isn't coming to pick her up and gets a bit sad. Hemleta sees the sadness in Divya's eyes and explains that he had some urgent work to do last minute and he is really sorry that he can't come to pick you up but you have your brother. Aditya comes and says "Koi baat nahin mere pyaari se behain, mein hoon na" and Divya smiles a little bit. Divya hugs her mom and dad bye and she and Aditya leave.
As Divya is walking down the stairs she sees the door to her daadi's house open and sees Nivi, Yash, daadi and Viren. Viren is carrying Nivi's bag as Nivi, Yash and daadi are all hugging. She feels a little jealous that Viren went to take Nivi back home and Sid didn't come when she hears her daadi say to Nivi "Terey bina yeh ghar kaisey lagta hai.." she wipes a tear from her eye using her dupatta and continues "tujhe nahin samajh aayega Nivi." Nivi hugs her grandmother again and says how she is right there whenever her daadi misses her and even if she is married and has her own house and family, she is still a part of this house and this family. Divya watches as Yash goes to Viren and hugs Viren then says "Jiju, agar tum mere didi ko koi dard diya, mujhse bura koi nahin hoga."
Viren smiles and assures Yash, "Tumhari didi ke saath mein kuch bhi aisa nahin karoonga jo ussko dard de saakey, yah jo usske pyaari aakhon mein aasu la sakey." Naintara daadi then walks over to Viren and puts Nivi's hand in Viren's hand and says that she knows that there is no one better than Viren for her Nivi and that she knows that Viren will always take care of her Nivi. Viren hugs Naintara then Viren and Nivi touch her feet and get her blessings. Aditya then calls Divya and she rushes out the door. (flashback ends)*
Divya starts to think 'Phag Phere ki rasam toh hogayi lekin Siddarth nahin aaya mujhe wapas ghar leney ke liye. Mujhe samaj nahin aata hai kyun abhi bhi, shaadi ke baad, Siddarth mujhse dur rehta hai.' she feels sad then remembers the fight between her and Hemleta and then thinks 'Aur phir se mummy ko yeh baat karni padi.' As Divya entered the khhoti, she asks Lalu Chachu where Siddarth is. Lalu Chachu says "Woh toh office se ab tak ghar nahin lauta." Divya is sad again knowing that Siddarth most likely will be working til late.. again.
--scene change: at the Sharma house--
Nivi puts the groceries on the kitchen table as Naintara watches. Then Nivi starts to list everything she's got and Naintara says "Arre, Nivi, tu itna saaman kyun lekar aayi?"
As Nivi is about to answer, Viren comes from the back and hugs Naintara daadi and says "Kyun ki yeh saara saaman ek mahene ke liye hai. Aur kuch chaheye toh humein zaroor batayiyega, hum ley ayengey." Naintara smiles as Nivi keeps putting the groceries away and she says but this much is unnecessary and Viren says but daadima, now Yash is in college and Nivi and I can't always go get groceries especially since the servants go buy groceries for the house so Nivi and I bought you whatever we thought you would need for the upcoming month. Naintara hugs Viren and says how lucky she is to have found such a great guy for her poothi. Nivi has a small smile as she hears this and finishes putting everything away.
Just than Yash comes through the door and says "Didi, Jiju!" He hugs Nivi and Viren and Nivi asks "Yash, padhai kaisi chal rahi hai?" Yash tells her how he got the top score in his class on the last test and Viren pats him on the back. Yash and Naintara sit down at the dining table as Nivi brings over food. Yash tells Nivi how he misses her hand made food and how she should come and cook everyday. Nivi smiles and looks Viren's way, who has his eyes on her. Nivi puts all the food on the table and when she is turns to get the water, she slips on her dupatta and just as she is about to fall, Viren catches her. They have a moment where they look into each other's eyes as Viren holds on to Nivi using both hands so that she doesn't fall. Naintara sees this and praises God and prays that whatever distance the two have are gone and that they can live their married lives happily. Yash sees Nivi in Viren's arms and coughs and says "Khaana taiyaar hai, ke nahin? Mujhe itni bhuuk lagi hai." Then Nivi and Viren quickly fix themselves and Nivi goes to get the water and Viren sits down at the table with Naintara and Yash.
They all eat and talk. After discussing Yash's college and studies, Yash asks when and where Nivi and Viren will go on their honeymoon when Nivi starts to choke on the piece of roti that was in her mouth. Viren rushes and rubs her back as he makes her drink water and the two have another moment. Nivi and Viren look into each other's eyes forgetting that daadi and Yash were right there. When Nivi remembers that there are others in the room she moves her head back and the cup of water that Viren was feeding her spills on Viren's shirt. Nivi puts the cup down on the table and rushes to wipe Viren's shirt which is completely drenched in water. Nivi takes Viren to the bathroom and tries to dry his shirt using a towel and then Viren sneezes. Worried Nivi tells Viren to take off his shirt or else he will catch a cold. Viren says he can't since he has no other shirt here and doesn't want to go in front of daadima and Yash shirtless. Nivi commands him to take it off saying she'll be back quickly.
Nivi goes into her room and out of her closet gets a sweater that she made for Yash that was too big. She grabs the sweater and walks back to her bathroom where Viren is shirtless. She looks at him and quickly looks away. Trying not to look at him she walks towards him so she could hand him the sweater when she walks straight into him. Viren catches Nivi again and Nivi tries to quickly compose herself. She hands him the sweater and takes his wet shirt so she could put it up to dry. Nivi rushes out of the bathroom and Viren watches as she leaves with a smile on his face.
Viren quickly puts the sweater Nivi gave him and goes back to the dining table. They finish lunch and Nivi and Viren set out to go back home.
--scene change: at the Sood khhoti--
Yashondra yells out for Viren when Vandhana and Chancal come into the living room. Chancal asks "Kya hua?" when Yashondra says that Bhupat is asking for Viren. Vandhana says that Nivi and Viren went outside and Yashondra says this girl (talking about Nivi) has Viren dancing around in a circle. Whatever she wants to do, he hands it to her and wherever she wants to go, he takes her.
Just than, Nivi and Viren walk through the door. Yashondra asks Nivi where they had gone when Viren says that they had gone for a walk and went to go see Naintara daadi. Yashondra gets mad and says to Nivi, "Shaadi ke baad, tum iss ghar ki chhoti bahu ho. Baar baar uss ghar jaana zaaruri nahin hai. Ab Yeh hee tumhara ghar hai. Jab dekho toh tum wahan chali jaati ho." Nivi looks at the floor, unable to speak when Viren cuts in and says, "Daadima, shaadi hogayi lekin yeh maatlab nahin Nivi sirf iss ghar mein rahey. Woh ghar ab bhi Nivi ka hai aur ab mera ghar bhi. And anyways, daadima,Shaadi honey ka matlab yeh nahi, hey ab Nivi sirf, is ghar ki Choti Bhahu hai, woh abhi us ghar ki beti, Daadi Ma ko Pothi, aur Yash ki didi hai." Chancal looks at her son when Viren says look mom, just because you married dad doesn't mean you're still not your parents' daughter. The same goes for Nivi. Yashondra cuts him off and says "Viren tumhara dadaji tumko doondh rahey hain." Chancal and Vandhana walk away and Yashondra tells Viren she will be waiting for him in the library where Bhupat is waiting. As Viren is about to walk away Nivi grabs his hand and Viren looks down to see Nivi's hand holding his hand. Shocked he looks at her face and she has a tear in her eye. He wipes the tear away and she begins to say "Main tumse thank you.." Viren cuts her off and says you don't need to thank me. As your husband it is my right to stand up for you no matter what and he walks away. Nivi watches as Viren walks away and a small smile starts to come on her face.
