Chapter 1 : New Beginnings.

Third Person's Point Of View-

A new morning. A girl just wakes up due to her alarm clock and turns it off. She stretches her bed sheet and dozes off again. But within few minutes, she gets a daily dose of her mother's scolding.

Mother says, "Nupur, are you going to wake up or shall I put water on your face?"

Nupur just whines in bed and covers her ears by the pillows. Nupur says, "Ma, just five minutes. I promise to wake up after that. Please ma. My best ma."

Nupur's mother had enough of this daily dose of her whining. She said, "Either you wake up NOW or I am not going to wake u up from tomorrow. Wake up now or else I am going to sleep back. Everyday you spoil my sleep and sleep back. You want to go to college or not?"

She knew that today if she didn't wake up, then her mother would eat her up. She said, "Yeah mum. I am going to bath. Ma, why do you get angry every time? I am going, ok?"

Getting up early in the mornings was never her idea of fun. But she knew better than to make her mother cross. After getting ready in a beautiful brown suit, she kissed her mother on her cheeks, and asked for her breakfast.

Sugandh said, "Nupur, I need to talk to you. Shona, I would love if you participate in the dramatics. I have been invited for the play. It's on a very large scale. And I would love to see you as a Juliet."

Nupur had always been the shy kind of girl. She had the talent of singing melodiously and acting with full on expressions, but somehow she never showed her true talents to anyone.

Nupur smiled and said, "Mum, are you sure? I mean, Juliet? Really? 'O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name; or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, and I'll no longer be a Capulet.' You want me to say these cheesy lines?"

Sugandh said, "See, you even know the dialogues. Shona, how many times would I need to tell you that 'buried seeds grow, but buried talents never'? You have to show your talents. And not only me, but your father would be proud of you too."

The entire colour disappeared from Nupur's face. Nupur angrily said, "Ma, I agree to whatever you say. But I don't want to know what he wants. I care a damn about him. And I am getting late for my college. I am going. Bye ma."

Sugandh knew about Nupur's hatred towards her father. She didn't want to hurt her. But somehow, she still loved her husband and wanted him to be a part of his daughters' life. But perhaps, it was time to move on. She knew that Arnab had given thousands of scars to Nupur's heart. No child should ever witness the scene, what Nupur had witnessed.

Sugandh said, "Bye Shona. I know that right now, you won't have the food. But can you promise me to eat something in the college canteen? For me?"

Nupur melted and said, "I don't know. But I would try. I love you. Bye."

Sugandh sadly said, "I love you too, Shona. So much."

At another place, a boy shouts at his mother, asking for his breakfast. He is already dressed up in blue faded jeans with purple shirt. He is getting late for his college while his mother is cooking for him.

He hated being late in the mornings. He was very punctual and loved to be on time. He was not one of the kids, who don't value their time. He hated such people.

His mother comes to him and said, "Mayank, what's with the hurry? I am coming Mayu."

Mayank smiles at his mother and says, "It's because, at any cost, I don't want to be late for my college. And I don't want to miss the breakfast. I love your hand's food."

Shilpa smiles and says, "You are my sweetheart. And yeah, are you taking part in the dramatics? I heard that 'Romeo and Juliet' is being performed. I am invited too."

Mayank had it coming. He said, "Yes ma, I am taking part. And don't worry, I would be Romeo. Happy? Now serve me my breakfast."

Shilpa smiled at her son and served him his breakfast. She was proud to be his mother. Sometimes, she missed his father, Armaan. She wished that he was home, to see his son growing up. But she knew that his work was way more important. And she truly acknowledged the fact. She loved Armaan for whom he was i.e. a loving and caring husband.

After having his breakfast, Mayank hugged his mother and said, 'Bye ma. Don't stress yourself. Love you."

She smiled at her well mannered son, and said, "Bye Mayu. Don't make the girls faint at your antics. Love you too."

I am sorry that even after so much wait, i just had time to post such a small part. But i would post the next part soon.

To tell you all the truth, the next part will be longer and it would cover up Mayur's unexpected meeting and crossing of their pathways.
