Lexie had begun the process of calling out the powers of the dark land past. She brought with her some water, earth, fire, the wind with her casting it to blow around her and finally her own spirit. They were a symbolism of a pentogram. All 5 elements were present in drawing in the powers into her. Sidharth Dobrial could only be mesmerized by the girl in front of him. Lexie possessed this command in her voice he'd found very hot. He stood back observing the change in Lexie's face as she beckoned her mammoth task of luring this vast power he could sense. Some good, some bad but it was a little too daring and a tad scary if he had to be honest. He'd never seen this performed in any movie he'd ever watched.

Lexie bit her lip anxiously then took one quick glance towards Sid-"Your thoughts are too loud. Keep your insecurities to yourself. Just pay attention to anything out of the ordinary."

Sid scoffed curtly at Lexie-"This screams unnatural so what am i supposed to keep an eye out for?"

Lexie hinted out loud-"U can hear beyond this plane Sid. Your powers are your biggest strengths. Trust in them and U won't fail."

Sid had no idea what Lexie meant but he had no time to squabble with her-"I'll try my best. I can't believe you've got me doing this. I need my head tested. If anything went wrong i couldn't look myself in front of your family."

Lexie soothed Sid's concerns with a mild spell over hom so he'd do what he was here for-"Now be a good boy. Watch my back for me."

Lexie continued on this time with a Triquatra Knife slashing it against her palms. She winced in pain and let it drip to the dead land. Lexie started calling out to mother Earth to bring forth all those lost souls to gather here. She started to feel the clouds darken and the elements around her moved around. Lexie put up a shield to keep the nasty souls from attacking her or hell stopping her in mid track. This was not a good sign then there'd be hell to pay. Lexie searched for the spells in her head. She had memorised everything. Good job she did with they way the weather had turned she would have had a tough time reading from the Book of shadows. It was in there how to draw strength from her ancestors.

Lexied started her chant-"As the ancestor of Hecate i call U, and all the late wiccan's after U to protect me. Help me save those i cherish. Give me your strength so i may complete my task. By the powers vested in my lineage i call upon thee for guidance. Show me the way now!"

There was a sudden gust of wind. Lexie's sheer determination was plastered on her face. Sid was impressed by this witches skilful spell. Whatever she asked for was on its way. He now knew what exie meant by his hearing. The dead spirits he could spot straight away. His eyes saw something move in a translucent form towards Lexie. He saw it protectively envelope her with the force field she'd created. Sid didn't dare say a word for fear of snapping Lexie out of her moment. She was really engrossed in this wiccan stuff. Lexie's eyes began to turn pitch black making Sid feel uncomfortable. it reminded him of Abhay's transformation but not as out there.

Lexie smiled at the touch of her family. Their pride in her achievements had overwhelmed her. They were on her side. They too had seen the unfortunate events ahead of their progeny and were displeased by the outcome. The warnings of a major power was playing in Lexie's head. Mentally she'd let her family know she had back up here in the form of Sid. Her ancestors had worried about how this power would impact Lexie. She refocused on the task in hand using their energies to draw in what seemed impossible within her.

Lexie exerted her command to compel all the Dark magic bound to this Dead land to be at one with her-"My blood calls the Old magic laid dormant on this barren land to find a fertile home with in New Magic. Come and Unite with me. I command U be at one with me. Merge into me. The powers of the dead i beckon U to link into me. Keep the souls of the dead at bay but gift me their combined powers flowing into me."

Sidharth had witnessed some freaky s**t in his time. He was one freak and Abhay was the other but Lexie's had blown them off the charts. The girl was seriously demented to be even putting herself through this in the first place. Sid watched on as Lexie flew up in the air levitating. Her body was spinning around as if it we're on a wild ride of its own then her body came back down. The ground moved rumbling like an Earthquake split open the concrete. Lexie's eyes gave nothing away but her face had told him all he needed to know. She was petrified of this supernatural hold taking her as its host. Then a whirlpool of light moved around Lexie seeping through her armour. The suddenly Lexie's body convulsed with the raw unadulterated surge or Power rushing into her at full speed. Lexie's vains were showing around her flesh in a dark grey colour. Her eyes changed from black to white repetitively. It was the deafening screams that concerned Sidharth the most. Her anguished cries had made him move towards her. Her shield had her protected against him. S**t this ordeal wasn't over yet. Lexie must have endured what appeared to be a few hours worth of hardcore torment. The powers had taken hold of her completely numbing her out of consciousness. Sid found his moment to save Lexie out of the pit she was in. He saw what she'd meant by spirits trying to take over her once she'd lost the mental strength in her coma state. He could see them and hear their wails making him shiver. There was a stench he could smell. Sid took Lexie in his arms and ran with speed through this No mans land all the way to safety.

Sid had taken Lexie to Abhay's place where nobody was around. Sid took the keys from Lexie's pockets and let themselves in. He placed Lexie down on the Sofa fearing for her life. Sid checked her pulse to be sure he wasn't hearing things. Lexie's heart was beating superfast like it was jolted by electricity. To Sid this was unusual for Lexie's heart to beat as if it would burst out of her chest. He'd tried to awaken her with water. He even tried shouting to kissing the girl. It was worth a shot. She'd never know the difference in her state.

Sid attempted talking to Lexie for a sign of a response of some sort-"Lexie U are scaring the bejeezuz out of me girl get up already. Don't U dare do this to me. I have a lot at stake here woman. Now get your mojo on. If U wanna help your brother then wake up damn it." Nothing was taking effect. He gave it his best shot.

Sid dialled Piya's mobile. In his uncontrollable panic he frantically blurted-"Piya i don't have time for formalities. Tell Abhay to cut short his plans and all of U head to the Raichand's A.S.A.P."

Piya was out of her mind-"We are on our way. Are we allowed Misha and Kabir to tag along?"

Sid shot out-"No this is more our case if U get my drift."

Abhay cut short the picnic the gang had going on. Kabir wasn't having fun without Lexie. Pari and Lux's mind was elsewhere. So this trip out had been pointless. Misha was as usual the centre of attention trying to get them to join in her activities but she was left disappointed. It wasn't like they could get the impending doom from happening. Abhay had only figured out what this night meant for the vampires. It was one night he couldn't afford to be around Piya and any other humans. Chand and Haseena we're in the same boat as him. What was he going to do with Piya? She couldn't be them. There was only one thing he could think of.

Abhay decided it was for the best-"Piya i was thinking U stay over with Misha for the night. Its for the best. It will give U and Misha some time to spend together."

Misha's eyes lit up-"It's a brilliant idea Abhay. He is the best boyfriend U could ever wish for. I really want Piya over."

Piya was feeling Abhay's Mind closed off to her-"I want to be with U tonight. I mean with the family. U are not keeping me in the dark Abhay."

Abhay's face gave nothing away but his eyes we're wary. Piya read the signs-"Piya just do what I ask for once please. For me Piya."

Piya saw Lux and Pari exchanges glance at each other-"This sucks Abhay! Tell me what's going on?"

Misha sulked in the back-"Wait a go Piya. How can spending time with me be such a drag? You're supposed to be my girl. I can see when i'm not wanted."

Piya defended her words-"It's not U Misha. (Piya omitted) I'm used to being with Abhay. It hurts when i'm not with him(This was the truth but not the real reason why she wanted to stay with Abhay)."

Abhay wondered into Piya's mind (I can't be with U Piya. This night is dangerous to for humans to be around vampires forget werewolves. I was so preoccupied with the chaotic mess in our life to notice i play a danger on your life. Please go with Misha for tonight. I have to be around my family.)

Piya knew how protective Abhay was of her so she gave in. Piya entered in Abhay's mind with Abhay's permission (See it didn't hurt telling me the truth Abhay. I understand but U keep forgetting we are Soulmates. U can never hurt me Abhay. I trust U with my life.)

Abhay was never going to chance it. He relayed his thoughts to Piya (I won't risk getting U hurt Piya. You'll be safer with Misha and your father. It's a chance to break the ice with him. Do this for me baby. Please i need U to do this one thing for me.)

Piya felt Abhay's mind soothing her to wave the white flag. His inner turmoil was enough to make her accept defeat. (On one condition Abhay.)

Abhay would accept anything Piya requested (What do U wish Piya?)

Piya simply answered (U fill me in on Sid and Lux's condition. I want to know why Sid called an emergency meeting for. And Be safe Abhay. I'll die without U.)

Abhay complied (As U wish. U stay safe too Piya. I know how U attract danger towards U.)

Misha noticed the silent exchanges between Piya and Abhay-"U guys probing each other's minds or what?"

This drew Abhay and Piya's attention. Piya quizzed-"What gives U the idea?"

Misha answered-"U both have this vibe like you're in a deep conversation with each other."

Piya gave a nervous laugh like they'd been caught."I'm coming with U at yours."

Misha beamed with delight-"We have so much to discuss."

Piya nodded tearing her eyes away from Abhay's-"I know. Panchi and I haven't had much time either."

Misha nudged Lux out of is quiet trance-"You're so quiet Lux. Same with U Pari. Is something up?"

Pari replied for Lux-"He's still a bit peaky Misha. Just let him be sweetie."

Abhay dropped Piya, Kabir and Misha at the Dobrials. Piya gave Abhay a peck on the cheek and ran in. Arnab was in his study when he heard his daughters laughter all the way from the hall. He came to greet Piya leaving his files behind. Kabir discovered smething about Mr Dobrial. He was overexcited to see Misha and Piya. Like he'd never seen them before. What a reception while at Kabir's it was more of a laid back feel. He'd longed for a big family only to be disappointed by the cousin he deemed as a brother. He hated to admit it but he missed the b*****d. He might have been a lousy boyfriend but he was the best brother he ever had.

Arnab's eyes lit up-"Piya beta how are U?"

Piya reluctantly answered him knowing full well it would raise a few eyebrows if she spoke abruptly with Mr Dobrial-"I'm good thanks for asking. Is it Ok if we be excused upstairs? I'd like to go freshen up."

Arnab felt a tad bit disappointed. At least they we're on speaking terms-"Sure. Panchi's already upstairs in her room if U want to get aquainted with her."

Piya politely smiled-"Thanks Uncle."

Arnab blurted out-"Call me Dad. U are practically my daughter."

Misha jumped in with approval-"U are one of us Piya. Its Ok to call my Dad, Dad U know? I don't mind."

Piya was uncomfortable-"I'm sorry Uncle but i'm an orphan. My father died a long time ago and so did my mother. The only family i have are the Jaiswal's"

Arnab hated the mention of Jaiswal-"He hurt Your mother Piya."

Piya defended his actions-"He's paid for it by the loss of his sister. He's sorry and wants to make amends. I owe it to my mother to mend the bridge between us. My uncle's already acknowledged my identity as his niece. It's something my own father could never do and i'd never want him to either."

Arnab could see the walls around Piya. She only let him get to the surface but then cuts him out before he could reach in-"U know i..."

Piya brushed past Arnab up the stairs-"Misha and Kabir U coming?"

Kabir ascended upstairs with Piya-"Evening Uncle."

Arnab nodded-"Evening Kabir! I'll send the maid up with drinks."

Misha nudged her Dad's arms-"Dad are U ok? U seem troubled. I sense some tension between U and Piya. She doesn't seem to want to be around U. Did U say anything to her because Piya would never say anything to anyone."

Arnab knew Misha was fishing for answers-"Misha somethings even your old man can't explain. It's something only Piya can tell U. I don't have a problem with her."

Misha wasn't happy with the friction she'd felt. It was like a glacial front. Something was going on with Piya. It was getting more and more evident. Misha knew this girly chat was essential for them to reboot their bond. For some reason Piya wanted nothing to do with her Dad. There was a reason for this and Misha would find out. Only Piya could spread some light.

Abhay drove with Lux and Pari back to the Raichand's with contemplating n what the urgency could be. Sid had made this sound as if it was a life or death situation. Lexie wasn't here which didn't bode well. They ran into the mansion to see Chand with Lexie on the sofa. Haseena was pacing around like a mad woman. Abhay rushed over to Lexie lifting her eyelids up to see them pitch black. He already knew Lexie was breathing. He could hear her heartbeat. Abhay delved into Lexie's mind to search for answers. Usually Abhay immediately got the hint what was up by this process but inside Lexie's head it was all too murky. Lexie's head was as black as her eyes. She was messing around with some potent dark magic. A kind only a lunatic would think of trying. What have U gotten yourself into Lexie thought Abhay angrily.abhay dug deeper brushing aside all the blackness around Lexie till he reached a small area with light. He saw through Lexie's eyes and her mind to know why she did this. Lexie had secretly learnt the black arts for this purpose to wipe out their enemies at her expense. Abhay was kicking himself for being so blind to Lexie's ways with dealing with danger. She had revenge on the brain. Abhay called Lexie out of this comatose state. (Lexie listen to me clearly and snap out of this back to reality. Lux needs U. He'll crush without U.) Abhay came out of Lexie's head.

Chand remained perturbed by Lexie's status-"The girl is mentally disrurbed by these new gifts she's been bestowed with. I fear it's poisoning her mind. She might not be the same girl U know depending on how much she's been affected."

Abhay nodded-"How do U know this?"

Haseena huskily answered-"We encountered a witch who'd done the same thing in Salem long ago before U were turned. She went crazy is a short story. Lets say power was her downfall. She was weak mentally."

Chand assured the others-"Lexie is strong willed. She has this to her advantage."

Lux slammed his fist at the wall out of anger-"Sid where was she?"

Sid croaked out-"She was on some Dead land U know where the witches used to get staked. She forced me to help her. i don't know how but she did it."

Lux knew his sister very well-"She compelled U to forget. Lexie's a pro at this. Its a trick she's learnt from Abhay through spells. Lexie U crazy girl. How am i supposed to protect U if you're pulling stunts like this. I need to connect with her. Pari help me."

Pari braced herself holding Lexie's hand with Lux as a Triquatra this would normally be effective but Lux's wiccan side was almost at its dormant phase-"Lux U know the drill get in and out as fast as U can and bring her with U. I'm relying on your twin connection to help U. Abhay U might want to divert Lexie's attention by entering. Sid keep an eye out for any involuntary movements."

Sid nodded. He felt like a spare wheel but he felt partially responsible for Lexie-"Sure. Be quick."

Abhay kept Lexie focussing on him with his sharp entry (Lexie listen to my voice. Lux is coming in. U can't hide out here. Let the light vanquish the darkness in your mind. I know this is a hard ask but fight this. U are stronger than you give yourself credit for now prove it to us and to yourself.)

Lexie's mind became active again (It hurts. It's too consuming. I underestimated my own limited power consumption. Its drowning me.)

Abhay alleviated Lexie's distressed mind (We will help U through this. Just foight through this bleak faze darling. We have faith in U. We love U so don't let us down. I can't lose U Lexie. You're my girl. Lux will break without U.)

Lux forged his way through with difficulty as Pari held her magical wave flowing to keep them all connected (Lexie sis. U getting my SOS? ) Lux could feel Abhay's subconscious present with Lexies (I know you're here. Lexie i need u baby girl. I can't do this alone. Mum and Dad will be beside themselves we left on bad terms remember. Do it for yourself. I know U want to give Maya and her dumba** a good hiding.)

Lexie reached out from her dark place fighting through (It's suffocating me.)

Abhay and Lux both together (Don't allow it to control U. U control it. U have the power Lexie use it.)

Lexie listened pulling out of the darkness. She tugged out with Abhay and Lux guiding the way for her. Then finally there was a clear path out of Lexie's shadowy mind starting to lighten up. Lexie started to awaken while Abhay and Lux withdrew themselves out of Lexie's mind slowly so they made sure Lexie was out first. Pari let the connection break.

Sid hugged Lexie tight-"Don't ever scare me like this Lexoe. I thought you'd lost it for a bit."

Lexie shifted herself upright her face full of guilt-"This wasn't supposed to happen?"

Pari sarcastically shot a look of disappointment at Lexie-"Ya think!!!!!!!! What the hell we're U thinking Lexie? I told U strictly not to tread on this path but does anyone ever listen to me?"

Lexie held her ears with her sullen face-"Sorry baba! I knew i could do this on my own but i needed someone who'd play it by my rules. You'd have had me withdraw at the first sign of trouble."

Pari scolded-"And rightly so. There's a reason we are born with a limite amount of power. It's all we can handle till we grow into our powers. While U are in a rush to acquire them right away."

Lexie had enough-"I don't need a lecture. Jeez leave me alone."

Lux couldn't stop cuddling by his sister. She'd scared the s**t out of him-"Pari leave it now. The main thing is she's safe."

Pari raised her voice-"For how long Lux? She's consumed this power from the pit of doom. These powers we're used for all sorts. We don't know the long term effect this will have on her. you are not a one woman army Lexie."

Abhay stood between Pari-"Lexie needs our support not us fighting between ourselves. We have the night approaching. We need to find a place for Sid and Lux."

Sid stood up-"U have silver chains? We will need them in the caves. We must hurry before its too late. Lux bro U up for this?"

Lux blankly dazed out facing his family-"I can't prepare myself but i'm not letting this beat me. Abhay the moon will affect U as well. U gotta stay behind."

Pari got the chains out of the secret place behind the book case in the study-"Got them now we can go."

Lexie stood up feeling a thrill. To her astonishment she'd felt relaxed about the impending changes this night would bring her brother.

Sid sighed-"I'm just grateful Piya is out of the way."

Abhay felt the same relief-"It's the only thing keeping me going right now. Girls remember what to do. Keep the boys trapped so they don't go out on a rampage. While I will keep my brute force available if i'm forced to use it."
