Part 3

She was about to go and open the door; but till that time the knocking on the door stopped. She takes a deep breathe and heaves a sigh of relief. She was thinking about all possible ways to explain why she and Maan were together in one room before their engagement. She slowly goes back to the bed. Seeing Maan sleep so peacefully; she has a smile on her face. She was content that Maan was sleeping without any worries. She knew that yesterdays events had completely worn out him; physically as well as mentally. She knew that he needed rest. But she had to assure herself that no matter what happens; her Maan will always be by her side. She decides that by the time she shall freshen up; he might get up. I don't want to disturb him. Hence saying this she goes near him, tucks him inside the blanket as she could see he was shivering due to the air conditioner he put at night. She grabs one of her favorite suit and enters the shower cubicle.

She had a nice shower and comes back to see that still Maan was sleeping. She sees him sleeping like a baby with no worries and tension. His face was glowing like anything. And she didn't want to awake him so decides to lie down and then an idea strikes her. She just bends forward so as to touch her lips to his to wake him up and just when he is about to respond she draws them away. She gets up and is about to leave. She senses that her arm is being tugged at. She doesn't turn back. Her heart knew it was Maan; her Maan. He very slowly comes from behind and rests his head on her shoulders; his arms perfectly wrapped around her waist line. He was so near that she could feel his breath on her neck. He slowly removes her hair lying on her neck. He kisses her nape and very gently started placing kisses on her collar bone. Moves upward to the jaw line kissing her. Just when he is about to press his lips she withdraws. But he was not going to let her go. As soon as she moves away from him; he blocks her way. Grasps her by her shoulder and pins her to the adjacent wall. Now both were inches apart. He asks her why is she so scared to move ahead in life with him?

That one question from her made her shiver. She didn't have any answer.
