She is still smiling and even blushing… They pull up in the parking lot of their house… Riddhima still hadn't decided how to tell Sid.. Then she has an idea… After all Sid was a doctor too…. He would most definitely recognize the symptoms… They walk into the house and Riddhima deliberately walks really slow…
Sid : Kya hua Riddhima, tum ithne dheere kyun chal rahi ho?

Sid comes up to her, lifts her in his arms and walks into the house… he carries her and places her on the couch… Then he looks at her closely…

Sid straightens up and places his hands on his hips…

Riddhima gets up, shakes her head at Sid in frustration…
Riddhima (to herself) : Relax Riddhima, gussa karogi tho bachche pe bura asar padega… Ek baar phir se try karthe hain…
Riddhima starts to inhale and exhale deeply to calm herself… Sid stares on looking confused….
Riddhima : Sid…..
Sid : Haan bolo…
Riddhima : Aurathon ko, I mean shaadi shuda aurathon ko, normally chakkar aur ultiyan kab aathi hain?
Sid : Ab pet kisi ka bhi kharab ho, unhe chakkar aur ultiyan aayengi… ab iska shaadi shuda aurathon se kya lena dena?
Riddhima (fuming) ; Siddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Riddhima (to herself) : Nahi Riddhima… control control… relax… breathe in breathe out… breathe in breathe out…
Sid : Ohhhhh Riddhimaaaaaa… mujhe ab samajh mein aaya….

Sid : Jab blood pressure badtha hai thab bhi aise hi hotha hai na…
Riddhima slaps her hand to her forehead…

Sid : Mujhe nahi patha yaar JP…
JP : Arey aise kaise? Kuch tho hua hoga na?
Sid : Wo Riddhima ki thabiyath kharab hai… Shayad isi wajah se…

Sid remembers how he had seen her eating a whole lot of tamarind chutney last night while having dinner…
Sid : Haan.. kal tho wo kuch zyada hi imli ki chutney khaa rahi thi….
JP : Ye lo bhai… Ab bhi aapko shaq hai ka??
Suddenly realization dawns on Sid… He is overjoyed…
Sid : JP sach mein? Main papa banne waala hoon?
JP : Haiye daiya… yeh tho aap jaake Riddhima flowerji se poochiye… hum thode na aapke bachche ke maa banne waale hain…
Sid recollects the events of the previous evening… That's why Riddhima had been mad at him… She had been trying to tell him that she was pregnant and he was stuck with vada paav! Oh God! He was going to be a dad!!! Wow!!! Riddhima… Riddhima… He had to find her….
Sid runs out of the locker room and crashes right into a nurse…
Sid (with a wide grin) : I'm so sorry… Aapne Dr. Riddhima ko dekha kahin…
Nurse : Arey haan.. wo tho reception mein….
Before she completes her sentence, Sid runs towards the reception….
Riddhima is at the reception with the new interns briefing them… Sid does not see anyone else and runs towards Riddhima… He lifts her up in his arms and twirls her around…
Sid : Riddhima!!!!!!!!!!!
Riddhima : Kya kar rahe ho Sid??!! Sab dekh rahe hain mujhe neeche utharo…
Sid : Bilkul nahi!! Aaj tho main ithna khush hoon ki main kya bathaon… Oh God Riddhima, main tumhe batha nahi saktha ki main kithna khush hoon….
He keeps twirling her in his arms and finally Riddhima says…
Riddhima : Bass Sid mujhe chakkar aa rahe hain, mujhe neeche utharo….
Sid : Oho…
Sid carefully places her back on her feet…
Sid : Riddhima, tum theek tho ho na?
Riddhima nods her head…
Sid hugs her tight…
Sid : Riddhima main tho ithna khush hoon ki main kya bathaon…
JP joins them tooo…
JP : Mubarak ho Riddhima bhabhi
The whoel hospital watches as Sid and JP start to dance around Riddhima… For a few minutes, seeing Sid's joy, Riddhima forgets where she is and smiles…
Just then a voice stops them…
Voice : yeh sab kya ho raha hai yahan?
Everyone turns to find Dr. Shashank…
Dr. Shashank : Yeh kya thamasha chal raha hai yahan? Dr. Siddhant Modi main aapko yaad dila doon yeh hospital hai aapka ghar nahi ki aap yahan apni biwi ke saath romance karein….
Sid stays silent but he is still smiling…
Dr. Shashank : Aap apni iss harkath ka kya explanation dena chahenge…
Sid looks at JP and winks at him…
Sid rushes over to Dr. Shashank and gives him a tight hug… He starts to sing "Papa main papa ban gaya… Papa main papa ban gaya…."
Dr. Shashank stares at him for a minute not comprehending what he just said… then realization dawns and Dr. Shashank smiles too… A huge smile… and tears fill his eyes…
Dr. Shashank walks over to Riddhima and hugs her tight… Sid joins them…
JP starts to dance around them so does the whole hospital… Sid's eyes fill up too and the whole hospital celebrates the good news…
In the afternoon, Sid is sitting in Dr. Aastha's cabin and Dr. Aastha is doing Riddhima's ultrasound…
Dr. Aastha : Yeh dekho Sid, Riddhima, aapka bachcha…
Sid looks at the screen to see a small figure huddled up… Sid holds Riddhima's hand and they both look fondly at the screen…
Dr. Aastha : Kya aap apne bachche ke dil ki dhadkan sunna chahenge?
Sid and Riddhima nod their heads… The doctor turns on the speaker and the room if filled with the sound of the baby's heart beat… Sid and Riddhima start to cry, tears of joy filling up their eyes… Sid kisses Riddhima's hand and looks at her with so much tender love that Riddhima feels her heart melt away….
That night, Sid cradled Riddhima's head in his arms and held her close as she slept… He felt like the happiest man ever….
Riddhima woke up to the sound of an alarm…. She opened her eyes and saw that the time was 2:00 am…. Sid quickly got up from bed, turned the alarm off and started to get dressed…
Riddhima (in a sleepy voice) : Sid… Yeh raath ke do baaje tum kahan jaa rahe ho?
Sid : Sorry Riddhima tumhe jaga diya… Wo kya hai na alarm ke bina main time pe utt nahi patha.. Don't worry kuch dino mein aadath pad jaayegi phir alarm ki zaroorath nahi padegi…
Riddhima : Lekin tum jaa kahan rahe ho?
Sid : Ice cream lene….
Riddhima : Kya????!!!
Sid : Haan… Ice cream lene…
Riddhima : Sid tum raath ke do baje ice cream kyun lene jaa rahe ho?
Sid : Wo Riddhima maine na movies mein dekha hai ki jab auratein pregnant hothi hain na tho unhe raath ke do baje ice cream khaane ka mann kartha hai… Tho main tumhare liye ice cream lene jaa raha hoon…
Riddhima bursts out laughing…
Riddhima : Sid lekin mujhe ice cream ki craving nahi ho rahi….
Sid : Lekin kyun? Normally tho sabko hothi hai na? Sab kuch theek tho hai na Riddhima? Tumhari thabiyath tho theek hai na?
Riddhima : Main bilkul theek hoon aur hamara baby bhi… Bass kuch logon ko craving hothi hai aur kuch logon ko nahi… Aur mujhe craving nahi ho rahi… Tho tum aake so jao….
Sid : Pakka tumhe ice cream nahi chahiye Riddhima?
Riddhima : Pakka aur jab chahiye hoga tho main batha doongi…
She finally convinces Sid and gets him to go back to sleep….
Scene 55 : 3 years later… Sanjeevani…
A car pulls up on the road across from Sanjeevani… Riddhima is standing at the door of Sanjeevani… She sees the car… The door of the car opens and just then, a school bus stops right in front of it… From the school bus, a cute little boy, 3 years old, wearing his school uniform, with his school bag on his back and a water bottle aroudn his neck, steps down and comes running towards Riddhima…
Boy : Mamaaaaaaaaaaaaa….
Riddhima : Aa ja mera bachcha…
Riddhima gives him a tight hug and takes his bag and water bottle from him…
Boy : Papa kahan hain?
Riddhima : Papa apne kamre mein hain…
Boy : Main papa ke paas jaa raha hoon…
Saying this, he runs off without letting Riddhima finish her sentence…
Riddhima : Ridhan…. Papa busy hain… Ridhan suno.. Ruko tho…
She goes after him… Ridhan runs into JP…
JP : Arey hamre bhanware ji… Kahan bhaage bhaage jaa rahe ho?
Ridhan : Chachu main papa se milne jaa raha hoon…
JP : Arey pehle humse tho hi bolthe jao…
Ridhan gives JP a high five.. it was their way of saying hi…. Riddhima sees Ridhan and calls out to him… Seeing Riddhima, Ridhan runs off again…
Riddhima : Ridhan… Uff ho ithna shararathi ho gaya hai na yeh bachcha…
JP : Riddhima bhabhi ab tho yeh toofan mail Sid bhaiyya ke station pe hi rukega…
Riddhima smiles and goes after Ridhan…
Ridhan pushes open the door of Sid's cabin and rushes to hide behind Sid's chair…
Sid ; Hey champ! Whats up?
Ridhan : Papa.. Mama aa rahi hain aur who gusse mein hain…
Sid : Ab yeh koi nayi baath thode na hai…
Just then Riddhima walks in… Sid hides Ridhan beneath his desk quickly…
Riddhima : Sid… Ridhan kahan hai?
Sid : Champ school se aa gaya?
Riddhima : Sid, tum baap beta ka natak na main achchi tarah jaanthi hoon… Bahut shararathi ho gaya hai Ridhan aur tumhi ne usse bigaada hai…
Sid : Lekin usne kiya kya?
Riddhima : Ab dekho, poore hospital mein mujhe daudaya usne apne peeche peeche…
Ridhan pulls at Sid's pants from beneath the table…
Sid : Ek minute Riddhima, mera pen gir gaya…
Sid bends to look at Ridhan…
Sid (whispering) : Kya hua?
Ridhan : Maine Mama ko nahi daudaya… Wo main aapke paas aa raha tha aur Mama hi mere peeche peeche aa rahi thi…
Riddhima comes up behind Sid and looks at Ridhan and Sid with her hands on her hips…
Riddhima : Ridhan… Bahar aao….
Ridhan and Sid look at each other…
Sid : Ab dekho Riddhima, Ridhan tho bass mere paas aa raha tha na… tum uske peeche peeche kyun aayi? Aur waise bhi Riddhima tumhe iss halath mein zyada strain nahi karna chahiye…
Riddhima is pregnant with their second child…
Riddhima : Tho yeh tum apne champ ko samjhao na… Ki wo shararath na kare…
Sid crouches down to Ridhan…
Sid : Champ, dekho, abhi papa thode se busy hain, tho aap mama ke saath jao aur unhe bilkul thang math karna ok? Aapko patha hai na mama ki tummy mein baby hai… Agar aap mama ko thang karoge tho baby naraaz ho jaayega aur phir jab wo bahar aayega tho aapke saath nahi khelega… aap chahthe ho na ki baby aapka friend bane?
Ridhan nods his head…
Sid : Tho achche bachche ki tarah abhi mama ke saath jao aur unhe bilkul thang math karna… OK?
Ridhan nods his head…
Sid : Achcha tho ab papa ko kissie do aur mama ke saath jao…
Ridhan kisses Sid on his cheek and goes with Riddhima…
Sid : Riddhima… Dekho mere bete ko daantna math aur bilkul thang math karna…
Riddhima (sarcastically) : Ok…
Sid : Achcha chalo ab achche bachche ke tarah mujhe kissie do aur mere bachchon ka khayal rakhna…
Riddhima (blushing) : Sid!!!
She takes Ridhan's hand and they open the door to go out…
Sid : Ridhan, agar aap achche bachche banke rahoge aur mama ko thang nahi karoge tho ghar jaake hum cricket khelenge ok?
Ridhan (nodding his head excitedly) : Ok Papa…
Riddhima and Ridhan walk out of the room and standing right in fron of them was Riddhima's worst nightmare come true…. Armaan…. And by his side…. Shilpa…. Their images started to blur and Riddhima fell to the ground unconscious…
When Riddhima regained consciousness, Sid was sitting by her side…
Riddhima (hysterical) : Sid… Sid… Maine Armaan ko… Armaan…
Sid : Riddhima pls relax… Aisi haalath mein tumhara ithna stress lena sahi nahi hai… Hamare baby ke baare mein socho…
Ridhan was sitting on Sid's lap sucking his thumb, stunned into silence after seeing his mom faint….
Ridhan : Mama, main koi shararath nahi karoonga, pls aap theek ho jao…
Riddhima sits up and kisses Ridhan…
Sid asks JP to take Ridhan away… Ridhan walks away holding JP's hand…
Riddhima : Sid… Sid… Armaan… Armaan wapas kyun aaya hai?
Sid : Riddhima.. meri baath dhyaan se suno… Armaan ab poori tarah se theek ho gaya hai… Lekin who pehle wala Armaan nahi raha… Usse kuch bhi yaad nahi aur uske kuch yaad karne ke chances bhi nahi hain… His memory has been totally wiped clean.. Ab agar who jaantha hai tho sirf who baathein jo Shilpa ne usse bathayi hain…Who sirf aur sirf Shilpa ko pehchantha hai… Hum mein se kisi ko nahi… Aur Shilpa aur usne shaadi kar li hai…
Riddhima : Kya? Shilpa? Lekin Shilpa tho US mein thi na? Aur Armaan tho Panchgani mein tha…
Sid tells Riddhima all that had happened the night of their concert, more than 3 years ago… How Armaan had opened his eyes and they had him transferred to US Sanjeevani and how Shilpa had asked to go with him…
Riddhima : Yeh sab tumne mujhe thab kyun nahi bathaya?
Sid : Hume patha hi nahi tha ki Armaan theek hoga ya nahi aur uski condition mein improvement ki baath sunke tum pareshaan ho jaathi… Waise hi tum ithna sab kuch sah chuki thi… Riddhima, mera yakeen karo, agar Armaan se hume zara sa bhi khathra hotha tho Shilpa usse kabhi yahan nahi leke aathi… Trust me…
Riddhima nods her head…
Sid : Do you think you can handle him being here? Nahi tho we can always ask Shilpa to take him back…
Riddhima : Tum hi ne tho kaha tha… ki kab thak bhageinge aur kyun bhagein? I can handle this…
Riddhima slowly got off the bed and Sid helped her stand up… They walked towards the door and in the corridor outside, Shilpa and Armaan were playing with Ridhan… Riddhima's first instinct was to take Ridhan away from Armaan… Then she calmed herself… Shilpa noticed Riddhima standing in the doorway and straightened up from where she was playing with Ridhan…
Shilpa : Di…
She went to Riddhima and hugged her tight…
Armaan looked up too… Riddhima's eyes were fixed on Armaan… But Armaan's eyes reflected nothing… There was no sign of recognition, no fleeting glimpse of the love he had for her… Nothing… He gave her an uneasy smile of a stranger…
Shilpa broke the embrace and saw Riddhima watching Armaan closely… Shilpa walked over to Armaan…
Shilpa : Armaan, yeh meri didi hain, Riddhima…
Everyone looked at Armaan to see if he recognized her name, her name triggered a memory in Armaan but Armaan still wore that uneasy smile of a stranger in strange surroundings and stretched out his hand to Riddhima…
Armaan : Hi! I'm Armaan… Or so Shilpa says… Nice to meet you…
To Armaan, Riddhima was a pleasant lady, visibly pregnant and obviously in love with her husband coz he had seen how Sid had reacted when he had found Riddhima lying unconscious and even now, Riddhima was holding on to Sid tight as if her life depended on him… Shilpa had told him on more occasion than once that he had once been madly in love with Riddhima but today, seeing her evoked no emotion in him… Today, when he thought of love, the only image that filled his mind was Shilpa… Shilpa who had stood by him through thick and thin… Shilpa, who had seen the worst in him and yet had loved him… Shilpa had not hidden anything from him… She'd told him everything… How he had been a maniac and had tried to destroy the life of this beautiful couple that was standing right before him… But Armaan the story seemed to be of someone else for he had no recollection of it whatsoever.. they had tried numerous times to jog his memory but nothing came out of it… And he was happy with that because he was not so sure he liked what he had done previously or he wanted to become what he had been previously…
Armaan : I'm sorry meri wajah se aap behosh ho gayin… Mujhe Shilpa ne sab kuch batha diya hai and I guess I owe you guys an apology… Jaantha hoon jo maine kiya uske liye sorry kaafi nahi hai lekin phir bhi…
He still had his hand outstretched and thinking Riddhima was unwilling to shake hands with him, he started to take his hand back… Just then, Riddhima extended her hand and they shook hands…. Once again, everyone stared at Armaan wanting to know if Riddhima's touch would trigger a memory… But Armaan showed no reaction whatsoever… Armaan knew everyone was watching his reaction... But to him, only one face evoked love in his heart now... Shilpa... He did not remember his past and did not want to... he only wanted his future with Shilpa....
Sid went up and hugged Armaan…
Sid : I'm glad you are back…
Ridhan (pulling at Sid's pants) : Papa yeh kaun hai?
Shilpa : Beta, main tumhari maasi hoon aur yeh…
She turns to Armaan…
Armaan : Main tumhara uncle… You know mama mausa, are just so old fashioned…
JP : Waise Shilpa flowerji, kya aapki waake mein Armaan bhaiyya se shaadi ho gayi?
Shilpa looks at Armaan and smiles…
Shilpa : Haan JP bhaiyya…
Jp : Bhaiyya??!!! Nahiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone bursts out laughing as Sid takes Ridhan in his arms and gives him a high five… Everyone comes together for a last happy picture.....
