Part Two

The wedding was held within the Khurana Mansion. It was a huge and extravagant event. Dadi left no stone unturned in order to make this a wedding to be remembered, after all her eldest potha was getting married. Finally her grandson was getting the happiness he deserved in life, and no one was more chuffed about this than Devi Singh Khurana.

Dadi had liked Geet from the minute she had set eyes on her. Never had she expected to find such a simple, and down to earth young woman working at Khurana Constructions. What was even more shocking and most appealing to Dadi was the fact that Geet actually wore salwar suits while working alongside all theses micro minis. But what Dadi remembered most vividly was the amount of restraint it took to stop herself from doing the bhangra when she found out that Geet was Maan's secretary! Ever since then Dadi had made it her mission to set up Maan and Geet. But she didn't have to work too hard as it seemed that Babaji himself wanted Maan and Geet to be together. Hence lo and behold that blessed day has arrived at last.

As Dadi looked towards the Mandap, her eyes fell on Maan, looking very handsome in his red and gold sherwani. Today for the first time in a long time she watched her grandson truely smile.

Maan Singh Khurana was already seated at the mandap, in front of the holy fire, while the priest chanted the holy mantras. Finally the day he had been waiting for has arrived. Finally Maan would make Geet his, while the world watched on.

His musings were suddenly halted by the beautiful music of payals. Maan turned around instantly to find his gorgeous bride walking down the stairs shyly. He was blown away by how stunning she looked. In fact, the minute his caramel eyes locked with Geet's hazel ones, it was as if everyone else disappeared leaving just the two of them alone. There was no denying that Geet was beautiful, but today she was positively glowing, and it took every ounce of his self control to remain seated at the mandap and stop himself from walking right up to Geet and....

"Ahem, Maan Veerji, muh toh band karli je.... it makes you look highly unattractive!" Nudged a amused Vicky. "Your lil bro has a point Maan," added Aditya, "thoda control rak, you look as if you're about to eat her alive... arre log kya kahen ge?" At this point Adi couldn't handle it anymore, so released a series of his trademark laughter. Adi" growled Maan, casuing Adi to shut up immediately, then turning towards Vicky and Aditya, Maan continued, " have I ever cared about what people thought before now? No right... so why would I start caring now...aur vaise bhi" he turned towards Geet who was now approaching the mandap " I've had to control myself for a while now, thank god I won't have to tonight."

Once Meera and Pari seated Geet beside him, Maan caught Geet's eyes and sent a charming smile and quick wink towards her. Geet just blushed and demurely looked away. Vicky, Adi and Aditya noticed this and couldn't help wolf whistling only to be smacked into silence by Meera, Pari and Pinky.

As the ceremony proceeded, Maan and Geet exchanged garlands. Then the end of Geet's dupatta was tied to Maan's shawl. As they took the seven pheres around the holy fire both Geet and Maan vowed to be at each other's side at all times throughout their lives, to keep each other happy, to take care of each other and most importantly promised their love to each other. Maan then put the mangalsutra around Geet's neck and filled her mang with sindoor promising to forever protect her and finally making her his.

Five hours later after all the guests had returned home, after all the customs and rituals had been fulfiled, after paying Meera, Pari, Pinky, Vicky, Aditya and Adi a hefty sum of money:

Maan Singh Khurana at last found himself standing outside his room while his dulhan waited inside. As Maan slowly pushed the door open he couldn't help but think with smirk that the wait was finally over!

Note: First of all i didn't send any PMs out for this oneshot and so thought it would take atleast 2/3 days to get 4 pages of comments... imagine my shock when I log on to IF the following morning to find 10 pages of comments and demands ...*FAINTS* 🤣
