PART 9

The two girls got along well and continued chatting

Tamann : So what do you do Riddhima?

Riddhima : I'm a Doctor.

Tamanna : Wow! and i am an intern! So are you in Houston for any medical conference?

Riddhima : No, i am actually going to meet someone *she blushes*

Tamanna was at her chirpiest best and so didn't ponder on the reason why she was blushing and all. She continued

"I don't believe this! Even i am going there to meet a special someone" she too blushes!

"Actually i came to Mumbai in search of him but got to know he is back in Houston" Tamanna sighed.

"Sid... I knew he wouldn't survive in Mumbai for long. Why didn't i think of it before coming down"

Riddhima turned her head in surprise hearing Sid's name!

Riddhima : Did you just say Sid...? Siddhant Modi...?

Tamanna : Oh my god! Yes!! Siddhant Modi of Sanjeevani!! Let me guess! You work in Sanjeevani??

Riddhima : Yes.. But.. but.. how do you know Sid...?

Tamanna : Well we joined together in Sanjeevani as interns.
She said with a dreamy eyes

Riddhima : How come i have never seen you around then...?

Tamanna : Because i had to leave to Canada and so couldn't finish my internship in Sanjeevani. It proved to be a big mistake...

Riddhima : Why..? It's not too late.. you have time in your hand to complete your internship..

Tamanna : I am not talking about internship...
She continued after a pause

"Actually i went to Canada with my fiance.. we were to get married there... but it didn't happen..."

Riddhima : Oh i am so sorry....!

Tamanna : "Hey don't be! Actually i broke the engagement...! I mean i couldn't marry a person keeping someone else in my heart... The moment i realized i had left my heart in Mumbai before leaving to Canada, i told my fiance everything and the wedding was called off"

Riddhima : You mean... you are in love with someone..?

Tamanna : Yes... Sid.... Dr. Siddhant Modi... I love him...! And i am actually on my way to Houston to find him and tell him that leaving him behind was the biggest mistake i did! I wanna tell him that i love him... and always did!

Riddhima was shocked beyond words...! She felt her heart being toen apart and the pain was clearly visible on her face..

Tamanna : Riddhima.. Riddhimaa... are you alright...?

Tamanna was worried seeing Riddhima sweating profusely.

Riddhima finally managed to speak.

"I am alright... Can i get some water.."

Tamanna immediately requested one of the stewardess to get water

Riddhima gulped half of the water in bottle in one go.

Tamanna : "Feel better.."?

Riddhima : hmm...

Riddhima was very quiet for along time after, Tamanna also didn't talk much as she felt Riddhima needed some rest. But the it was Riddhima who broke the silence..

Riddhima : So how was it...? How did you both meet...?

Tamanna was more than happy to tell her's and Sid's love story...!

Tamanna began with their fight stories... then the naughty irresponsible Sid trying to be sweet to her... The jungle scene... Shifting to a place next to hers so that he could be in her good books and also to convince her parents that he is the one for their daughter...

As Tamanna continued about her's and Sid's journey Riddhima was BURNING inside! Jealousy started creeping in her and she couldn't remember the last time she thought about a plan to kill someone! That's when it struck her that how much it must have hurt Sid when she talked about Armaan to him all the time.. But he never said anything in fact encouraged her to discuss matters concerning Armaan with him...

"How did Sid do it...! How did he manage to be so calm all those time when i kept talking about Armaan...! Agghhh i hate the way she is talking about Sid...! I wish i was invisible so that i could strangle her to death...! How did Sid manage to be so sweet to Armaan!! How is it possible... No human can take all that... Now i am convinced he is not human... he is an angel.... and HE IS MY ANGEL!"

Tamanna had reached the end of their story by then.

"But when i asked him to close his eyes i wonder why my image didn't come in his mind though... He refused to marry me then... Hopefully the boy has finally become a man who isn't afraid of lifelong commitment!"

Riddhima was pleased to know that and was smiling inside!

"He looked so lost and dejected when he came to see me off in the airport... Sid in blue shirt... That's the last image i have of him in my mind..."

Riddhima remembered her first meeting with Sid! She remembered it was in airport and the colour of his shirt was blue!

Riddhima asked Tamanna : When was that...?

Tamanna : Around 9 months back...!

"Oh god! Yes... Sid was in airport to see of Tamanna when i met him for the first time... And i slapped him for no reason...." Riddhima thought.
She felt really guilty for behaving so rudely to Sid that day.

They reached Houston and walking to the exit.

Tamana : So Riddhima, where are you staying?

Riddhima : I actually have to find a good motel.

Tamanna : If you don't mind you can stay with me. One of my cousin is here in the university and her place is pretty big.

Riddhima : No.. no.. that's fine.. i'll manage..

Tamanna : Common Riddhima... You don't have to be so formal!
Riddhima finally agreed after Tamanna convinced her a lot.

On the way to the the university, while sitting in cab Riddhima was again lost in her thoughts. 'No.. i won't force myself upon Sid. I'll stick by whatever his decision is... whether to accept me back or to be with Tamanna'

Soon they reached their destination. After a casual introduction to cousin Riddhima was shown her room.

After a while Tamanna comes in Riddhima's room.

Tamanna : Hey Riddhima, guess what! I found Sid's whereabouts! Thanks to google and linkedin! He works in Hermann Children's Hospital! I cant believe i am gonna meet him after almost 9 months!

Though Riddhima was weeping inside she managed a smile for Tamanna who was so excited.

Tamanna : So did you call up your friend?

Riddhima : No not yet. He will be free only day after tomorrow.

Tamanna : hmm.. Okay.. I am really tired i better go sleep now! Good night!

Riddhima : Good night Tamanna

Next day in Hermann Hospital

"Good morning jeeju"!

"I told you not to call me jeeju again! I am not your jeeju anymore! Said an irritated Sid to Shilpa"

Shilpa : Na.. for me you will always be my jeej!

Sid : I know what you are trying to say by calling me jeej!

Shilpa : And what is that great discovery?

Sid : It's so obvious! You are reminding me by calling me jeeju that you are my wife's sister i mean ex-wife's sister and i cannot hit on you! But don't worry saali i mean Shilpa i have no such intention.

Shilpa threw a file at him. Sid caught it and laughed seeing an annoyed Shilpa.
Shilpa slowly smiled seeing Sid smiling like that. She went and gave him a warm hug.

Shilpa was the first person Sid contacted after the whole 'drama unfolded' He called her soon after he reached Houston to tell her that the love Shilpa saw in Riddhima's eyes were not for him but for Armaan. Except the tent scene Sid told her everything! That how his marriage to Riddhima is stopping her from being with Armaan. And that she still loves Armaan and all. Shilpa was really worried when Sid started crying on phone and so she rushed to Houston to be with Sid. And now both Shilpa and Sid are working in the same hospital.

Tamanna was too excited to meet Sid and so instead of knocking on the door and waiting for the response, she pushed open the door and the sight of a girl in Sid's arm was like a slap on her face.

They broke the hug when they heard the noise.

Sid was surprised to see Tamanna there.

Sid : Tamanna!!!??

wow!! except u got one thing wrong.. she got married and then left for canada or wherever.. i;m pretty sure.. w/e.. i like how its going.. ridzy should feel the same way:D:D lovin it!! continue soon

No... if my memory is right she was supposed to get married in Canada! Or if she is actually shown getting married in the show, then in my FF she isn't! 😉
