Chapter10
She walked up the stairs and her hands shook as hey grabbed the doorknob of his door. Geet could feel her stomach twist and twirl. The door opened into a dark room and all there was to lighten it up was a small lamp that was placed beside the bed.
He lay on the bed, sound asleep as geet came close to him. Maan looked so weak and Geet felt guilty of what had happened to him, was only because of her.
He slowly opened his eyes as he saw her standing at the bedside, looking at him teary eyed.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to wake you up" She retorted as maan tried to get up.. She reached over to his side and gestured him not to...
"I'm fine Geet" He said as he stood up.
"yeh sab meri wajah se hua hai! it's all because of me" She started tearing up..
Maan hated tears and she knew that but she couldn't stop the guilt she felt. She couldn't get rid of the pain..
"Geet!" Maan almost yelled as he got hold of her arms and crashed her towards him...
"CHUP! bilkul chup!" putting his finger on her lips to shut her up because what she was saying was non sense.
"You haven't slept well Geet" he chuckled...
"I'm worried about you here and you're saying that i haven't slept well?" Geet looked at him...
She looked into those eyes, who were warm.. She can look into them forever and not get tired.
"I Love You Geet" He whispered.. His cool breath on her face, sending shivers down her spine... "I want you to feel the same."
"I'm sorry -" Geet started to say when maan silenced her.
"What are you sorry for?" He said, feeling the pain that he had felt when she first left him.
"Sorry for not listening to you when i should have. Sorry iss liye kyunki mein aap ko samaajh nahi payi maan. I -"
"I?" He asked waiting impatiently for her to continue the statement that he wanted to hear all this time..
"I love You" She whispered..
He smiled as he placed his lips on hers. The pain of his injury had vanished into the thin air as he slowly covered her mouth with his. It was not long before he pulled away. He brushed his lips down her neck, slowly, sending shivers down her spine. She slowly snaked her hands around his neck and he pulled her into his arms, lost in the moment, not wanting their union to last. "Don't ever leave me." Maan whispered, his face dug deeper into her hair... "Promise" She whispered back.

The sun rays peeked through the translucent curtains and Geet opened her eyes. She opened her eyes and felt someone/ something holding her. She inhaled his scent and dug in deeper in his arms. "I love you," she whispered as she reached up to his ear and pressed her lips on them. He smiled, his eyes still closed and snaked his other arm, gently across her waist, pinning her onto his bare chest and slowly opening his eyes to see her angelic face.
She lay on his bare chest, under the covers. He silently removed the strands of her hair from her face and whispered intently...
"We belong together,
You make my world complete,

Geet opened her eyes and a tear slipped down her cheek, but was caught by Maan's finger tip. "I won't let this happen again." he mumbled as he wiped away the tears, pressing his lips on her lips once again, slowly inhaling in her scent. It started off slowly, intently and became a smooth ride.
The door knocked and pulled both of them out of their trance.
"Who is it?" Geet asked..
"Mommy? Are you alone in there?" Muskaan asked. Maan led out a laugh as Geet made a funny face and got up to get herself dressed. He followed her and took her into his arms once again.
"I don't care if i have said this many times, but i still love you.." He whispered, holding her from her back.
"I love you too ... - and muskaan so can we please go back to her?" She innocently smiled... "Sure." He responded...
"BUT, i have to make an announcement first!" Maan said as he changed into his casuals.
"What announcement?" Geet asked...
"You'll know" He smiled as he unlocked the door and left the room, leaving behind a confused and a curious Geet.
