Prologue: The Room
She entered the room. It was the same small, dingy and dark room. The only light that entered the room was from the high grilled window. Her eyes were getting adjusted to the dark and in a couple of seconds she was able to look around. She went up to the spot upon which the light from the window fell and looked at the nearest wall. She then noticed that there were writings on the wall. She looked more closely and was able to read what was written. 'Saisha' she read. She did not understand why there was 'Saisha' written on the wall.
"Who would write that?" she thought.
She went on reading the other names, 'Aarav', 'Anjali', 'Daksh'. She looked around and realized that the entire room was filled with these names. She then heard a noise of something scratching on the wall. She looked towards the direction of the noise and noticed a shadow scribbling on the wall.
"Did you do this?" she asked.
The person did not show any sign of response.
"Excuse me. Who are you? Why are you scribbling these names on the wall?" she asked.
The person still did not respond. She went towards him and murmur the names
"Aarav Saisha Daksh Anjali" he said.
Just then she felt the entire room was filled with his voice. His voice grew louder and louder and it seemed like the words on the walls joined him. She couldn't take it any longer and she shut her eyes and ears and murmured "Stop".
Soon she was shouting at the top of her voice "Stop Stop Stop STOP!"
She got up with a start and realized that it was all a nightmare. She heard the alarm and switched it off. She had been sweating 'cause of the dream and so she washed her face with cold water and freshened up. She was wearing a black nightgown and her straight, black hair lay beautifully down her shoulders. She went up to the window and watched the morning drizzle.
"It was the same nightmare." she thought.
"This time I was able to see what was written on the wall but who was writing it? Why do I keep having this nightmare more frequently now a days? Am I getting closer to them?" she wondered.
Just then her mobile rang, interrupting her thoughts. She answered the call.
"We found on of them''''''''." the voice spoke.
As she heard more her smile grew wider and wider. Her eyes were filled with tears , tears of happiness. She hung up and quickly got into the first cloths she could lay her hands on. Her happiness knew no bounds. She hadn't been so happy in 5 years but now something told her that everything was going to be alright. She got into her Mercedes and drove away.
