"Mayu!! Mayu beta.. Uth na. College ke liye late nahin ho rahe?" calls out Shilpa, Mayank's mom, trying to wake her laadla beta up.
"Mayank, mom. Not Mayu." Protests Mayank, sleepily, embarrassed by the nickname, yet still secretly loving it when his mom calls him that.
Mayank finally manages to get up and get ready for college. Soon, he reaches, and is greeted by a swarm of girls.
"Mayank.. I'm Sheena. How are you today?" says this girl called Sheena.
"Oh god! How will I be? College pohonchte hi Sheena jaise chipkoo ladkiyaan meri peeche padh jaati hai, tab meri haalat buri hi hogi na." Thinks Mayank to himself.
Mayank tries to move ahead, but is almost buried by a few other girls who come up to him, asking him to help them in some subject or the other, since he is the smartest in the class. No, in the college. But Mayank finally manages to get away. He runs up and down some staircases, and in and out some classrooms, managing to make the girls tired and lose sight of him, before going into his classroom. Gunjan, who is already seated, is surprised to see him so sweaty and breathing heavily.
"Kya hua Mayank? Tum theek toh ho na?" Gunjan asks worriedly.
Mayank catches his breath, and tells Gunjan of what happened just a few minutes earlier. As soon as he finishes, Gunjan bursts out laughing. Samrat, another friend of Mayank's enters the classroom.
"Hey babes, tumhari hasi kitni khoobsurat hai. Hai! Main toh mar jawaan." Samrat says, winking at Gunjan, teasing her.
"Shut up Samrat." Gunjan replies, showing her annoyance, though inside she is secretly pleased at his teasing.
"Vaise, kya hua itna hasne ke liye?" Samrat turns to Mayank, asking him what made Gunjan laugh so much.
And Mayank repeats the story which he told to Gunjan just minutes earlier. Samrat too bursts out laughing, like Gunjan.
"Vaah Mayank! Tum kitne lucky ho. Tere naa poochte hi ladkiyaan tere peeche padhti hai. Aur mujhe dekho! I'm the cool dude, man. Mere peeche ladkiyon ki vaise line bhi nahin hai. Aur jis ladki ke peeche main padha hoon, woh meri taraf dhyaan hi nahin deti" Samrat indicates at Gunjan, making her blush.
Gunjan is about to say something in return, but just then their professor enters the classroom, so Samrat returns to his seat at the other end of the room from Mayank's and Gunjan's (they share the seat.. its like a bench for 2 ppl, u get what I mean?).
Later during the break, Mayank, Gunjan, and Samrat are sitting at a table in the canteen laughing over Mayank's morning incident when Benji, Diya, and Uday come.
"Tum log mere jokes ko yaad karke has rahe ho kya?" comments Uday.
"Dodo!" Diya scolds Uday. Then turning to the Mayank, "Vaise, kaunsa joke maara?!" Diya questions.
"Argggg!! Kitni baar main yeh story bataaun. I'm wasting my time. I'll go and study now?" Mayank says exasperatedly, and hurries off to the library, where he buries his head in some research books, in some quite corner, hoping no girl will find him there.
Gunjan tells Diya and the rest the story, and they too laugh a lot.
"Yeh Mayank bhi na! He will never change." Benji comments.
"Haan. Padaaku hai, aur padaaku rahega. He always has his head buried in some study book or the other." Uday says, and everyone laughs again.
The camera zooms out, and the narrator says...
Toh yeh tha a typical day with Mayank and his friends. Har roz Mayank college pohonchta hai aur ladkiyaan uske peeche padh jaati hai. Phir kisi tarah se unko taalte who apne classroom jaata hai. Gunjan se complain karta hai. Break time mein Diya, Uday, Samrat, Gunjan, aur Diya, sab Mayank ki haalat ke upar haste hain. Mayank ko chidaate hain. Aur Mayank humesha ki tarah chidkar library mein jaata hai padhne ke liye. Apna saara free time who kitaabon ke saath bitata hai. Books, studies and exams are his world. Haan, uski duniya mein uski pyaari maa, aur kareebi dost shaamil hai, lekin andar hi andar, apne dil ke kisi kone mein who akela hai. Kaafi saari ladkiyaan Mayank ka yeh akelapan door karvana chahti hai, lekin Mayank inko apne dil mein aane kya, dil mein jhaanke hi nahin deta. Par ab, yeh sab badalne vala hai. Yes, you heard right' Mayank Sharma ' the (hot) nerd will change' Into the hot dude' And who will change him? None other than' Nupur Bhushan'!
