Recap: The gang spends a whole day at Water Kingdom, where Mayank comes closer to realising his feelings for Nupur. The whole of the next day is spent at Essel World, while riding the various amusement park rides, as well as while playing cricket. At the end of the day, the gang heads to the dance floor/ disco in Essel World, where Samrat confesses his love for Gunjan, and they become an official couple. Samrat dedicates a slow song to his beloved, the everyone dances to it, even Mayank who holds Nupur in his arms as they sways together to the music. Mayank is mesmerized by this closeness to Nupur, and is confused till he reaches back to Bui's home. Bui helps him realize that he is in love with Nupur, and finally accepting that fact, Mayank goes to sleep with a smile on his face.

Part 11: Hum Tum...

The next morning, Mayank wakes up with a smile on his face, similar to that of Samrat's, which thankfully no one notices, except Bui who has extremely sharp eyes. The gang spends the day with Bui, talking to her, helping her in the kitchen and so on. The next day or two also pass like this, and finally comes the time when the gang has to return to their own homes.

It is now Monday again, and everyone wakes up with a fresh start to the week. Samrat comes to pickup Gunjan, and they go on a long drive before college. Nupur is still at home, so Mayank offers to take her on his bike.

Driving with Nupur holding him tightly, brings a big smile to Mayank's face. Luckily for him, he remembers to wipe it off before they enter college, and Nupur gets off his bike to thank him. Mayank gives her a wide smile, which she doesn't seem to notice that much.

Nupur: Hey Mayank. Thanks yaar, mujhe college tak chodne ke liye.

Mayank: Dosti mein no sorry, no thanks.

Nupur: Yeh tum keh rahe ho Mayank?

Mayank: Haan, kyun?

Nupur: Waah waah!! Aaj pehli baar main akdu Mayank Sharma ke muh se kuch filmi dialogue sun rahi hoon.

Mayank: Log badal jaate hai, Nupur.

Nupur: Pata hai, aur itna bhi serious hone ki zaroorat nahi hai. Aur vaise bhi, yahan pe hum baat karke time waste na hi kare to accha hai. Class shuru hone vala hai.

Mayank: Waah! Aura b Nupur Bhushan mera dialogue keh rahi hai.. ?

Nupur: Ha ha Mayank. Class chalte hain.

Mayank is happy with this new development in his relationship with Nupur. He is growing closer to her with his friendship. Just having realised his love, he wants to take it a bit slow ' himself come to terms with it before confessing to Nupur.

Mayank and Nupur enter class and sit together, much to everyone else's surprise. But even they don't say anything. Classes end, and now its lunch time. Mayank is in the library, as usual, but this time he is not only looking for more books and studying, but also trying to think of a way to not think about Nupur. But of course, he is unsuccessful.

On the other hand, the rest of the gang is in the canteen, where Samrat is complaining about his best shooter in the basketball team.

Samrat: Us Vicky ko abhi injure hona tha kya? Humne substitutes dhoondhna shuru bhi nahi kiya. Aur parso humara ek basketball match hai. Itne kam samay mein hum accha player kaisa dhoondh payenge?

Gunjan: Be patient Samrat. Sab kuch theek ho jayega.

Nupur: Haan, Samrat. Gunjan bilkul theek keh rahi hai. Tum chinta mat karo. God ne agar Vicky ko injure karvaya hai, toh woh kisi aur player ko tumhare team mein zaroor bhej dega.

Samrat: Lekin Nupur, Vicky humare team ka sabse accha player tha. Ussey better shooter humein nahi milega. Ab main toh uski jagah nahi le sakta na, kyunki main captain hoon, aur meri already ek position hai. Toh who will replace him?

Nupur: Don't worry Samrat. Bhagwan zaroor Vicky se aur better player tumhare saamne layega. Aur by God ki kasam, agar aaj hi woh player tumhein nahi mila na, toh mera naam bhi Nupur Bhushan nahi.

Samrat: Ha ha. Thanks Nupur. Tujhe sach mein pata hai, how to cheer up a person.

Diya: Ya Nupur. And for Sammy's sake, I just hope ki tumhari kahi hui baat sahi nikle.

Benji: Sahi hogi kaise nahi? Yeh humari Nupur ne kahi hai na ? Aur Nupur kabhi galat ho hi nahi sakti.

Samrat is still feeling down so decides to shoot some hoops in the indoor basket. (just like the one in the real show' imagine it..!). But because his mood is slightly off, he doesn't concentrate and misses almost every time he throws.

Samrat gets angry with himself, and just throws the basketball to one side. Mayank comes to the court area, and the ball stops right at his feet. He looks at Nupur with questioning eyes, as to what is wrong and she motions towards Samrat. Mayank smiles and then approaches Samrat. He puts one hand on his shoulder and talks to him.

Mayank: Samrat, what is the problem?

Samrat: Vicky is injured. Woh humari team mein nahi khel paayega. Humare paas koi substitute nahi hai, aur match parso hai. And me' !! In the tension I am not even able to shoot a hoop properly.

Mayank: Show me. Mera matlab hai, tum basketball net mein daalne ki koshish karo, main problem bataane ki koshish karta hoon.

Samrat shoots a few hoops.

Mayank: Ah hah!! Samrat, teri problem toh simple hai. Tension mein, tu apne elbows ko tuck in karna bhool gaya. Haan' Aise hi, zara sa apne elbows ko apni ore lo, haath ko thoda peeche' And throw the ball'

Samrat manages to hit the ball into the netted hoop and is surprised. He tries a few more times, keeping in mind the pointers Mayank gave him and gets surprised because he doesn't miss even a single time. The rest of the gang watches Mayank in awe. But Nupur doesn't seem that surprised.

Nupur (to herself): Yeh Mayank bhi na' Hundred percent he has used some maths ya physics techniques to figure out what is Samrat's problem.

Benji: Lekin Mayank, tune ye kiya kaise?

Mayank: It's a simple maths and physics technique, Benji.

Nupur (to herself, again): Told you so!!

Uday: Tu toh ek nerd ho, aur nerd hi rahoge Mayank.

Mayank: Pata hai, meri baat tum jaise logon ke samajh mein nahi aayegi.

Mayank catches Nupur's eye and winks at her, slightly shocking her. But then he starts laughing, because Uday still didn't understand that Mayank was teasing him, and she as well as the whole gang joins in at Uday's expense. Poor Uday!!

Samrat: Lekin, Mayank. Agar technique itna simple hai, toh tu bhi basketball khel sakta hai na. I mean, you've never played before but using your technique, you should be able to get the ball in the hoop.

Mayank: Ya, sure. Dikhata hoon.

Mayank takes the basketball from Samrat and attempts about 10 times from 10 different angles, and 10 different distances to shoot the ball into the hoop. Everytime he tries, he gets a goal. Samrat sees this and is almost jumping in glee.

Samrat: Lagta hai mujhe apne team ka player mila.

Samrat winks at Gunjan and the rest of the gang, and they understand. Now it is poor Mayank's turn to get confused.

Two days pass, and it is the day of the basketball match. Along with Nupur's help, Samrat managed to convince Mayank to play in the match. Mayank helped better the shooting, dribbling, passing, and playing techniques of the rest of the team members, making Samrat even more proud of his team and the fact that Mayank is one of his best friends.

The basketball is in its final moments, and the score is tied. Whichever team scores the next hoop, breaks the tie and wins the game for their college. The ball passes from teammate to teammate and opponent to opponent. Finally, the ball comes in Mayank's hands, and he dribbles it a bit, carefully tackling players from the opponent team.

The whole college stands on their feet and cheers as Mayank scores a hoop in the last few seconds of the game. The game is over and Excel College has won!! Samrat hugs Mayank for saving the game, but Mayank's eyes on the other hand, are only on Nupur who was cheering for him and Samrat throughout. Nupur runs to Mayank and Samrat and hugs them both.

Samrat: Wooohooo!!! Mayank, we did it. I mean, you did it. Sab tumhari mehanat aur lagan ki vajah se. Agar hum aaj ki match jeete toh sirf teri vajah se. Love you..!!

Mayank (blushing): Thanks, yaar. What are friends for, huh?

Nupur: Hey guys!! Ab yeh Dostana Part 2 chodo, aur mujhe bhi hug karo na..

Mayank: Nupur'

Samrat: Ha ha, theek hai.

As the three group hug, Gunjan and the rest of the gang also come up. Mayank secretly thanks god for the interruption, if not he would have blushed even harder having Nupur so close. Then, Samrat hugs Gunjan while Mayank talks to Nupur and the rest.

However, each one of them is too busy to notice an angry member from the opposing and losing team approaching Mayank. Irritated at himself for being defeated, and more so at Mayank for defeating him and his team, that player brushes past Mayank so hard that he ends up shoving Mayank to the ground. Nupur is about to run after him and shout, but Mayank and the rest stop her.

Mayank: Nupur, chodo na' Vaise bhi, tum din bhar meri class leti ho na? Toh us bechare ki class leni ki kya zaroorat hai? Leave the poor fellow alone.

Nupur: Mayank!!! Kya poor fellow? Ek toh us kaminey ne tumhe itni zor de dhakka diya kit um gir gaye aur tumhe chot lagi, aur tum mujhe use chodne ki baat kar rahe ho? I won't leave that guy, never.

Samrat: Vaise Nupur, us ladke ko chodne ke liye tumhe use pehle pakadna hoga. And you so cannot run'

Mayank: So toh hai..!!

Nupur: Kya matlab?!! Arrrg! Samrat, Mayank!! Now I'm going to kill you both. Tum dono kya mujhe ullu samajhte ho? Mera mazaak kar rahe ho? You'!!!

Mayank: Ouch..!

Nupur: Oh sorry, Mayank. Main bhool gayi thi ki tumhe chot lagi hai. Chalo, main first aid karti hoon.

Nupur helps Mayank to the locker room, where a first aid kit is usually kept. The rest of the gang just stares after them.

Benji: Yeh Mayank ko kya hua hai? Aaj kal kuch zyada hi mazaak kar raha hai.

Uday: Haan. Aur khaas kar Nupur ke upar. He seems to be teasing her a lot these days.

Diya: Arre guys' Teasing ko chodo. Mayank is even thinking a lot about Nupur.

Gunjan: Yeh tumhe kaise pata?

Diya: Main match ke pehle Sammy ko dhoodhne gayi thi na, tab mujhe Mayank dikh gaya locker room mein. Aur woh apne aap se baat kar raha tha. Kayi baar Nupur ka naam liya usne.

Gunjan: Sach??!!

Samrat: Toh tuney aage kuch suna kya?

Diya: Haan, sach. Lekin maine theek tarah se nahi suna, par Mayank ko kayi baar sirf Nupur ka naam lete huye suna.

Samrat: Kuch toh gadbad hai boss, kuch toh gadbad hai (CID's ACP Pradhyuman style) 😆😆

Some time later, in the locker room'

Nupur has finished cleaning and dressing Mayank's wound. She moves back and admires "her handiwork".

Nupur: There, done..!! Achcha lag raha hai na?

Mayank: Kya accha lag raha hai? Yeh chot, ya tumhari first aid ki dressing?

Nupur: Meri first aid ki dressing, of course. Kitni neat aur clean hai.

Mayank: Nupur..!!

Nupur: Achcha, sorry. Main toh sirf mood halka karne ke liye aisa mazaak kar rahi thi. Tum toh pehle se itne serious ho.

To hide his true feelings, Mayank puts up a smile on his face. He thanks god that the smile is at least genuine, or Nupur would suspect. Actually, Mayank is smiling at Nupur's nonsense, which he finds cute and has fallen in love with.

More so, earlier, Mayank was actually admiring Nupur who was really concentrating on Mayank's wound. He was happy that she cares for him so much. Yet at the same time, he was also worried that she would find out his true feelings about her and reject him, thus putting a strain on their friendship. Hence the serious mood.

Finally after everything is done, Mayank and Nupur get up from their sitting positions on the locker room's benches and head towards the entrance/exit door, only to find it locked.

Mayank: Yeh kya hai? Locker room ka door locked kyun hai?

Nupur: I thought ki darvaza baad mein hi hoga. I mean, sab log ke chale jaane ke baad hi. Kya sab log chale gaye?

Mayank: Lagta toh yehi hai. Samrat bhi pehle aaya tha, lekin cubicle mein change karke vaapis baahar gaya.

Nupur: Oh no'!! Toh darvaza kaun kholega?

Mayank: Pata nahi.

Nupur: Theek hai. Toh main Gunjan ko phone karne ki koshish karti hoon. (after trying, but not getting any network) Oh no'!! Phone ki battery khatam ho gayi hai. Aur tere phone ka kya?

Mayank: (after checking his phone) Network nahi mil raha.

Nupur: Toh kya Karen? Ab poora din aur poori raat kya hum aise hi kamre mein band rahenge?

Mayank: Darvaza khatkhataane ki koshish karte hain, chalo.

Mayank and Nupur bang hard on the door, hoping that someone will hear and rescue them, but to no avail. The opponent team has left Excel College premises, while the students and staff of Excel College are celebrating their first big win in the canteen. Loudly!

Nupur: Oh no'! Now we are stuck! Na jaane kitne ghante, aur woh bhi tumhare saath' Main zaroor bore hoke so jaaungi.

Mayank: Don't worry Nupur, main tumhe bore nahi hone doonga. Chalo, kuch game-vame khelte hain.

Nupur: Kya?

Mayank: Antakshari?

Nupur: Ok fine, lekin tum shuru karo.

Mayank: Theek hai, mujhe yeh gaana toh bohot achchi tarah se aata hai. Aur humari situation ke liye appropriate bhi hai'

Nupur: Kaun sa gaana?
