Im not sure how long the leap is..long enough to see a difference and not so long that ..you know..hum bhoode ho jaayein..
long enough that the two girls have been acquiring education, well into it
Maan and Geet ar ein their room, getting ready for bed.
Maan- Geet...tum apna khyaal rakhna
Geet- Maan..please don't worry..I know how important this meeting is for you..go ahead..I'll take care of everything
Maan simply held her hand and pulled her close
She lay one hand on his heart- could feel the beating of that love deep inside him
Their eyes closed...it seemed like it had been a long time
Maan called her name in a husky voice, filled with desire
They broke away and Geet simply looked at him with tears in her eyes
Geet- MAan...
MAan- shhh...aaj hum koi baat nahi karenge
Aaj hum kuchh nahi karenge, samjhi?
Geet cocked an eyebrow
Geet- kuchh nahi karenge? Toh thik hai, I'll sleep now..
Maan- nahi.. Geet..mera matlab
Geet- kya? kya hai aapka matlab maan?
you are leaving me for 2 whole days..do you know how much that is??
MAan- Geet...and you..you have not been giving me enough time for so much time now...
And he stopped, knowing he had hurt her

Knowing she will not answer..he changed the topic
MAan- and you..you keep changing from here to there..abhi toh kaha tha that you don't mind since it's an important meeting? and now you say that I'm leaving you?
Geet smiled a sad smile
Geet- MAan...You never complained when I was busy with studied..didn't mean I didn't notice.
IT doesn't mean I didn't notice how sad and crabby you had become..
MAan turned away..
Geet- jawaab dijiye MAan...talk to me..
Maan- there's nothing to talk about. It's late..let's sleep now. i have to leave in the morning
And the next thing he knew he could feel the silent tears falling from her eyes, each drop special..each drop a sign of her pain and her love...because he was suffering..and so was she
Maan felt deep anguish at what he couldn't explain to her- that he knew..he understood..but he wanted to love her..he did..of course he did, but he felt so lonely..she was busy..not having time for him at all and for someone like him- for HIM in particular- it hurt a lot that he was not the centre of her world..like she was of his
Of course he knew she loved him more than words could ever say..but love isn't the only thing- he wanted to cultivate their love...the strength that it is based on- he wanted to...he didn't know what...
he never wished to stifle her..but felt stifled himself sometimes..and he didn't know why.
Geet- Maan...Please listen to me.
Maan- hmm
Geet- I don't have to explain to you what happened..You saw what happened..I got engrossed in studies so much that I didn't give you time and you don't like me for that..I understand that.
I also understand that you think it's time for us to come back..but how?

MAan's eyes flashed fire
Maan- You think I don't miss my princess? Besides that, I didn't have you with me..mentally and emotionally..Do you think I CAN move on from the girl who became my heart after her maa?

I know you suffer Geet..but I'm, we're here exploring an option to heal us..together...it will be bringing her back...I love you..and I love her..and I want both of you to be happy...
Leave it Geet. There's no point talking about it till you understand all of that...till you are willing to start over with the best memories of the past and move into a future where the past is a part but doesn't consume the future..
And he tried to go to sleep after that..he managed to sleep a deep dreamless sleep
Geet gazed at him with respect
Geet- this man..always makes me grow and see things differently..I will have to think about it...
Maybe we can come to an understanding..he slept without hearing what I wanted to do...
Oh well..she kissed him on the lips and went to sleep in his arms..open for her, even in deep sleep
MAan- uhh Geet...come bachha
Geet smiled into his chest and went to sleep
