Next morning….Rashi is to leave for Manali…..for two weeks….and Adil-Ashna drop her to the station!!

Adil: Do take care of urself……..(he looks at her affectionately)

Rashi: I knw AB……aap khud mujhe le kar pareshan hai......u r worried for me….phir bhi aap ne mujhe jaane ki permission dii….just becoz it will bring a smile on my face……I knw meri khushi aapke liye mayna rakhti hai….aur bas isiliye main apna bahuuuuut achha dhyan rakhungi….coz main janti hu……mujhe zara bhi takleef hogi…..to dard aapko hoga….and I cant afford that….(she ends wid a smile)

Adil: Kaafi achhi baatein karne lagi hai…..chal ab jaa…..and yeah….call me!!

And Rashi leaves….after bidding gud-bye to both of them. But here Adil's eyes keep following her till she meets her frnds…and finds her seat…..and as soon as he is satisfied that she wud be f9…..he turns back and gets in the car!! Here….all the while…Ashna was observing him….his every expression…..she cud see the immense care in his eyes….there was no doubt he loved his sister a loottt!! No wonder….ppl say…. "Adil Raichand apni behen par jaan chhirakta hai"…..!!!

Few days pass by…..

Everything was going on pretty fine in the office….even Ashna was not trying to harm anything…..as..…..she was w8ing for Rashi's return!!

Meanwhile……one day…….Adil enters Ashna's cabin and puts sum papers in front of her……..he looked angry!!

Adil: Can u explain me wat this is all abt??

Ashna quickly checks the papers….but before she cud say anything….Adil speaks up again!!

Adil: Listen Ms. Ashna SEHGAL…..I don't care how much u hate me or wish to destroy me…..but sumthing like THIS is not going to be acceptable on my part……..tum itnii bari ghalti kaise kar sakti ho?? And wat do u expect……I'll overlook this one?? No Ashna…..THIS is too much……..tumhe ehsaas nahi hai kya ye project kitna ahemiyat rakhta hai?? We r constructing an orphanage Ashna….mazak chal raha hai kya?? Nahi na…..maine socha tha tum ek sensible insaan ho……mujhe barbaad karne ki koshish bhale hi karo….but at least…..iss project me gadbad nahi karogi…….maine socha tha itni insaaniyat hai tumme…..

Ashna: (cutting him) Excuse me Adil……will u pls listen to me??

Adil: I've had enough ok?? Bahut hua…..thak chuka hu main!! Samajh kya rakha hai tumne?? Jo marzi me ayegi karti jaogi….aur koi kuch nahi kahega?? And for wat?? For being wat?? Kitni asaani se ghalti kar jata hai koi…..hai na?? Lekin kabhi socha hai….uss ghalti ka anjaam kya ho sakta hai??

Ashna: (cutting him again) Bas bahut hua Adil….tum to kisi aur ki baat sunte hi nahi ho!! Bas apni kehte jaa rahe ho kabse!! Tum jo papers mujhe dikha rahe ho…..uspe maine kaam kiya hi nahi hai….u get that?? Do u hear me right Mr. Adil Raichand?? Maine ye papers pehle kabhi dekhe hi nahi the……

Adil: (a bit taken aback) Wat?? But how can this…..(he again checks the papers) Maine…..yehi papers send kiye the….tumhare liye….and…..u were supposed to….(he looks confused himself) One sec…..(and he calls Shekhar in)

Shekhar: Yes Adil?

Adil: (showing him the papers) These papers were for Ashna right?? U gave these to her ryt?

Shekhar: (checks them quickly and looks up hesitantly) I'm sorry Adil…..maine tumhe bataya nahi…..(and Adil looks on for him to complete his line)…wo Ashna ki pichhli project par kaam tabhi bhi pending tha….isliye maine usse ye file nahi dii thi….maine ye Mr. Gupta ko diya tha…..aur tum uss waqt (he eyes at Ashna and continues) kuch busy the……to maine tumhe tab inform nahi kiya tha!! I'm really sorry!!

Adil just closes his eyes in frustration……..he doesn't knw wat to say……he just asks Shekhar to leave…..and turns around to find Ashna….standing there with her arms across her chest!!

Adil: I am sorry!!

Ashna: (gives him a sarcastic smile) Sach me…..bahut asaan hota hai….ghalti karna….aur 'sorry' bol dena….hai na?? Waise….kya ye meri khuskismati hai jo Adil Raichand….mujhse 'sorry' keh rahe hai?? (he is abt to say sumthing….but she cuts him) Bas Adil…..even I've had enough…… Ek baat batao Adil….do YOU realize….tumhare ek ghalat zidd ne….meri zindagi ko kahan se kahan pohucha diya?? I just don't knw at to do wid this lyf…..iss zindagi me mere liye kya bacha hai mujhe nahi pata……do u realize aise jeena kitna painful hai mere liye? No….u don't realize that……aur chale aye…..mujhe ghaltiyon k anjaam ka ehsaas dilane?? How cud you??

Adil: I knw I over-reacted…..and I'm truly sorry Ashna!!

Ashna: Like I care!! (and she looks away)

Adil: (looks down) I knw….U don't!! (and he leaves while Ashna is still irritated)

Kuch achha socho to bhi bura hi hota hai…….abhi abhi to socha tha….kuch dino tak kuch aisa waisa nahi karungi…..but no…….ye aya…….aur mujhe daantke chala gaya..….wo bhi uss kaam k liye jo maine kiya hi nahi……Dam You Adil Raichand!!

In the evening…….Adil cums home along wid Ashna…..becoz he had a dinner meeting today….and he wud leave from home only!! As Adil was taking sum files from the table…..he suddenly notices an invitation card……..it was for Ashna….and his eyes catch the venue as well….which was a Disc!! Adil knew….the place was not a very gud one!! Just then….Ashna enters the room……

Adil: Are u going to this party? (he asks her showing the invitation card)

Ashna: How does it matter to u??

Adil: Its just……the place is not gud…..I don't want u to go!!

Ashna: In that case….I'm defiinitely going!! Pehle jaane ka iraada nahi tha…..but now I will go for sure!!

Adil just looks away in frustration……he was a bit irritated at himself….for talking to her abt this matter…….and also a bit irritated at her…..for taking the wrong decision….just to oppose him!!

Here Ashna snatches away the card from his hand…..and leaves to get ready. It was not that she was interested…..but right now she terribly wanted to go against him!!

After a while….at the disc…..

Ashna was here wid her group of frnds…..and she was enjoying as well!! Yet it was true the place was not very gud…….she did notice sum boys eyeing at her….and passing comments as well……She did feel like punching them hard…..but she didn't want to create a scene….unless they tried sumthing more than being verbal!! She just paid attention to her frnds only!!!

But then….after a while….she looked at that direction….to find those boys were not there anymore!! She was relieved that they had left!!

Here…..a lil away from the disc…..two men were holding five boys while they were struggling hard to get rid of the men……but alas they were drunk and again those men were much stronger!!

Boy 1: Arre……tum dono me hamein pakad ke kyun rakha hai??

Boy 2: Aur….aise hamein disc se yaha laane ka kya matlab hai ha? Din dahare lutna chahte ho??

Just then a car had stopped before them…..and Adil gets out of it.

Adil: Abhi 'din' nahi…..'raat' hai…..ehsaas hai iss baat ka??

Boy 2: (turns towards Adil) Abbey….kaun hai re tu….jo…..(but he seems to recognize him) Arre….ye to wo….wo hai na?

Boy 3: Haan….ye to paper me ata hai…..aur news me bhi……Adil Rai…chand!!!

Boy 5: Achha?? Adil Raichand?? Mujhe dikh kyun nahi raha hai? (and he rubs his eyes) Ahh….ab dikha mujhe!! Sach me yaar……kitna paise wala lagta hai tu!! Oops….aap….aap kitne paise wale HO….(and they begin to laugh)

Adil instructs the two men to leave them…..and the boys were a bit confused to get free!!

Boy 3: Arre…..aapke kehne par….chhor diya??

Boy 4: Aeee……kahin tune hamein pakadwa ke to nahi rakha hai na??

Boy 1: Arre haan yaar…..issi ne inn dono ko bheja hoga…..(to Adil) Kyun be…..hamein kyun pakda? Hum ne tera kya bigada??

Adil: Abhi kuch der pehle…..disc pe….kis ladki ko dekh rahe hai tum log…..pata hai tumhe??

Boy 3: Arre….pata hi to karna chahte the hum…..ki tabhi tere log hamein yaha le aye…..(and they share a laugh again)

Boy 5: Waise….aapko itna fark kyun padta hai haan?? Kya lagti hai aapki?? Behen ya Biwi?? (they were still laughing)

But just then Adil holds his jaws tightly…..his hold was so tight that the boy was not even able to move……and suddenly they stopped their laughter…….realizing the gravity of the situation……and so there was complete silence…..where Adil's words echoed just perfectly!!!

Adil: Apni baat ko phir se dauhra sakta hai tu?? (the boy just dropped his eyes…..and looked down…..he cud not meet those 'ruthless' eyes) Ab dikha tujhe…..Adil Raichand!!! (now he eyes at the rest of them….and as soon as he does that…..they all hav their eyes cast downwards) Ye jo tum sabki aankhein jhunki hui hai….iski wajah mera darr hai….I knw dat…..but I will really pray for the day when this fear will be replaced by shame!! (Adil felt disgusted to see those young boys…..being drunk so much and wasting their tym in sum cheap flirting and all) Waise andar meri biwi ko to dekh hi liya…..rahi baat behen ki to….Ainda….jab bhi kisi ladki ko dekho…..samajh lena….wo Adil Raichand ki behen hai…….and u knw better wat to do in that case……hai na?

The boys hardly managed to nod their heads……they all just wanted to run away from there…..Adil just left that boy……and they quickly left the place as soon as he said "Get lost"….

Adil: Thank you….

Man 1: That was our work Sir…..

Adil: Any more problem??

Man 2: No….everything is f9….aur shayad Madam abhi nikal ayengi……she didn't seem to enjoy!! (Adil looked up at this statement)

Adil: Tum dono andar jao…….and make sure she reaches home safely…..

The two men just nodded their head….and went back to the disc.

Jab enjoy nahi kar rahi ho…..to kyun ayi ho Ashna?? Itna gussa ho mujhse ki mujhe oppose karne k liye tum kahin bhi chali aaogi?? Kyun itni ehmiyat deti ho mujhe Ashna……kyun?

Adil keeps standing there for a while…….he was basically on a lane near the disc….and none else cud be seen here…..ppl cuming to this area wud go towards the discs only…..and so this lane was quiet even amidst the loud noises cuming from nearby.

As Adil was standing there…..he cud feel the quietness of the lane even more….despite the loud noises. He stared at the end of the lane….which was not visible to him…..yet he kept on looking in that direction…..as if he wished to go that way…..while others wud prefer the other way round.

He then remembers the words of those boys….

Haan….ye to paper me ata hai…..aur news me bhi……Adil Rai…chand!!!

Sach me yaar……kitna paise wala lagta hai tu!!

He knws they were smitten by the wealth he possessed…..by the fame he had earned…..by the life he led!!

Sach hi hai…..log mujhe…..Adil Raichand ko jeene ki dua mangte hai……aur sach ye bhi hai main khud har janam me iss zindagi ko jeena chahunga….. (after a pause) taaki kisi aur ko rahat mil sake…..iss zindagi se jahan kehne ko sab kuch hai par phir bhi kuch nahi hai….jahan rishton me bepanah pyar hone ke bawjud nazdikiyan nahi hai……jahan sab kuch mil kar bhi kuch hasil nahi hota…..jahan khushi ho kar bhi uska ehsaas nahi hai……jahan dard ho kar bhi aansoon ki koi Boondh nahi hai…….par sabse bada sach to ye hai ki iss viraan zindagi ki tanhayi kisiko shauhrat ki chaka-chaund me nazar nahi ati……duniya hamesha se shor me jeeti ayi hai…..sannate ki gunj kisiko sunayi nahi deti……

Bearing a sad smirk on his face……Adil was lost in his thoughts….for a while……letting his 'emotionless' eyes wander around……aimlessly!!

Just then his driver cums to him….

Driver: Sir ji….aapko deri ho rahi hogi na……

Adil: Huh?….(cums out of his trance) Oh yes…..chaliye…..(and he gets in the car while it is driven away from there)

Here Adil fails to notice Ashna…..who had cum to the entrance of the lane….trying to attend a call….and as she hung up….she saw his car…..and then looked up to find him standing wid his back towards her……a moment later she sees the driver reaching him….and then he leaves!!

Ashna fails to understand….why he was here!!

"Tum yaha kya kar rahe the Adil?? Jahan tak main janti hu….iss waqt tumhari ek meeting scheduled thi…..wo chhor kar tum yaha kyun the?? Were u here to watch on me?? Lekin phir….tum khud kyun??"

Next morning…..Adil is getting ready……and that's when Ashna goes up to the driver….whom Adil takes wid him….usually….if he wishes!!

Ashna: Umm….

Driver: (turns around) Namaste Madam……

Ashna: (just smiles) Achha…..kal raat Adil….bahut der se laute na?? (the driver looked confused to hear such a question….so Ashna 'explains' further) Actually….wo mujhe bata nahi raha hai…he thinks….main naraz ho jaungi…….pls aap bata dijiye na….

Driver: (smiles thinking it was a sweet concern of the wife towards her husband) Wo Madam…..Sir ji ko kal thodi der ho gayi thi….wo meeting me pohuche bhi thodi der se…..bas isiliye….

Ashna: Der se kyun pohuche?? Kahin ruke the kya aap log??

Driver: Haan wo……unn Discos ke bahar…..Sir ji kuch ladko se baat kar rahe the…..wo log nashe me the…..shayad Sir ji….unhe kuch samjha rahe honge….aur ussi me der ho gayi…..(and he ends wid a smile)

Ashna: (says aloud to herself) Ladko ko samjha rahe the??

Driver: Haan Madam……fikr ki koi baat nahi thi….aap pareshan mat hoiye….

Ashna: Ah….I knw…..I mean…..thank you….main bas thoda concerned thi…..

Driver: (with a smile) Main samajhta hu…..

That's when Adil cums there….

Adil: (to Ashna) Tum yaha?

Ashna: Haan wo….bas….aise hi…..

Adil: Tum baad me aaogi na??

Ashna: Haan haan….tum jao….I'll come by 8:30….(and she leaves)

And here the driver opens the car door for Adil….

Adil: U always do this Kaka!! Maine mana kiya hai na??

Driver: Achha lagta hai Sir ji……hamesha se karta aya hu….pehle aapke Baba ke liye….aur ab aapke liye…..(he smiles….while Adil just shakes his head….and gets in the car)

At office…..after the lunch tym….Ashna gets a call…it was from Rashi….

Rashi: Hello….Bhabhi….kaisi hai aap??

Ashna: Main to thik hu….tum kaisi ho? Aur aaj mujhe kaise yaad kiya??

Rashi: Arre….aap aisa kyun keh rahi hai Bhabhi?? Main waise aapko yaad nahi karti kya??

Ashna: Chalo chalo…maskebaji bandh karo….kya baat hai??

Rashi: Wo Bhabhi….AB apna phn utha nahi rahe hai….busy honge shayad hai na??

Ashna: (looks towards Adil's cabin….he was not there) Haan…cabin me nahi hai wo..….meeting me hoga shayad……kyun? Bahut zaruri kaam hai kya??

Rashi: Wo…..Bhabhi….mujhe kal wapas ana tha….but meri frnd keh rahi thi……do din aur ruk jau…..to mujhe AB ki permission chahiye thi…..

Ashna: Ohh….dont worry….Adil ate hi….main keh dungi….tumhe call kare iss bare me……and am sure wo maan bhi jayega….so u just enjoy ok? And take care……

Rashi: Okay Bhabhi….thanks….apna aur AB ka khyal rakhna….bye!! (and she hung up)

Ashna just smiles….as she says… "AB ka khyal rakhna"…..perhaps Rashi herself never realizes…….when she says this. It cums naturally from her heart!!

After a while…Adil enters his cabin….and seeing this…Ashna goes to him to inform him abt Rashi's call….Adil quickly checks his mobile to find 6 missed calls…….and he gets tensed.

Adil: Tumse baat hui na uski….kya kaha? (he dials her number in the meanwhile….but she doesn't pick up) Wo thik to hai na??

Ashna: Haan….tum pareshan mat ho….she is f9….usne bas kaha….ki uski frnd chahti hai….wo do din aur ruke….to…

Adil: (not letting her finish) Wat?? Dimag kharab ho gaya uska? (and he keeps dialing her number….but still no response) Ye phn kyun nahi utha rahi hai??

Ashna: Tum pareshan kyun ho rahe ho?? Aur phir……wo bas do aur din hi to rukna chahti hai……tum itna to permit kar hi sakte ho….hai na?

Adil: Nahi….wo nahi ruk sakti……..(just then Rashi picks up the call….and he talks to her) U need to cum bak Rashi…..do u get my words?

Rashi: (after a pause) I'm sorry AB….main kal aa rahi hu….

Adil: Hmm….!! (and they hang up)

Here Ashna was keenly observing his every expression…..from the tym his eye-brows are joined…….till the tym those droplets of sweat….appear on his forehead!! He was sweating even in this AC room……she didn't feel he was f9!!

Ashna: Are u ok??

Adil: Huh? Yeah….am alryt….kyun?

Ashna: Nahi bas……tum thode disturbed lag rahe the….anyways….I wanted to ask…if I cud go home now….

Adil: (checks his watch) Umm….its almost 5:30….are u done wid ur work?

Ashna: Hmm……and I don't hav any new project in hand as well….so can I???

Adil just nods her head in a 'yes'!!!

After Ashna leaves…..Adil checks the work she has done till date…..and he was impressed to see how efficient she was in her job…..again she didn't goof up anything….not deliberately of course!!

Now his eyes fall on a file lying on his table…..it contained the details of the newest and one of the most important projects of RGI…..Adil wasn't sure if she shud be involved here…..he wasn't really sure if she wud try to harm the project deliberately ever…….but one thing he was sure of was…..she wud be perfect for the job!!

At night…..Adil returns home….a lil early than usual. When he enters the room…Ashna was not in there. As he cums out changed……he goes towards his fav place…..which was near the window……he felt a bliss in facing the wind….and whenever he felt low…….he wud give in to the wind….and close his eyes……to let it soothe him!!

And he does the same today……but as he is abt to turn around….his eyes fall on a photo frame….kept nearby!! It contained his wedding pic wid Ashna…..he knew it was Rashi who had put this photo here!! However he took it in his hand and stared at it for a while….and then started talking to it…..

"Tum par yakeen hai Ashna…..dil ki bahut achhi ho tum…..bas har baar meri kismat daga de jati hai…"

Just then the door is opened and he drops the frame……It was Ashna on the door….and she quickly cums to the place to see wat is broken…..In the meanwhile Adil had bent down to pick up the glass pieces…..

Ashna: Its ok….tum rehne do…..main….

But he stops her wid his hand….and begins to collect the pieces…..thats when a glass pierces his right thumb…….but it was as if he didn't feel anything and continued wid his work…….however Ashna intervened in btwn….

Ashna: Do u realize….u hav got a cut? (at this he looks at her first….and then at his hands…..and sees the cut)

Adil: Its f9….

Ashna: It might be f9….but baki ka mujhe karne do….c'mon get up!!

And she tries to snatch the frame from his hands….but in this process she gets a scratch on her palm…..and this makes Adil angry!!

Adil: Wat the….? Maine kaha tha na main manage kar lunga….but no….u never try to understand what I say….wat I mean…..

And now he gets the first aid box for her…..pulls her up from the ground as she was still sitting there….listening to him obediently…..and then he makes her sit on the bed!! He takes her hand…and starts to apply anticeptic on the scratch….

All the while….Ashna was keenly looking at him…..the moment he raised his voice…..she had looked up to find concern in 'those' eyes…..that had never conveyed anything except emptiness to her!! But today…..to her utter surprise…..she saw 'care' in them…..care for her!!

The guy….in front of her…..who happens to be her husband as well…..had never talked to her even nicely……perhaps becoz she never did it herself….but she thought the disliking was mutual…..she thought even he detested her…..just the way she did…..but today….suddenly she felt like pondering over her thoughts……as she saw him bandaging her hand….whereas his own thumb was bleeding much more profousely than hers!!

Adil: Jab kaam thik se hota nahi….then why do u even try it?? Ab lag gayi na chot??

Ashna: (stares at him for sum tym….and then speaks up) Do u realize….ur cut is much much deeper than mine!!

At this Adil looks up and gazes deep into her eyes…..and their eyes lock for a while…..as they both seek answers in them!! But after sumtym Ashna looks away…..not being able to stand 'those' eyes anymore….which were again filled wid 'emptiness'!!
