It's the morning tym'..and as usual Adil was in his office'.he always used to take his breakfast (for his mother's sake) before every1'.and left before his dadi cud see his face'..she didn't like to start the day seeing his face'.and he didn't want to hurt her'.at all.
However as he was trying to find sum files'.he got a phn call'.and after attending that'.he left the office texting sumthing to Shekhar!!!
Shekhar Kapoor (played by Ankur Nayyar) '.. his frnd'.or rather only frnd'.he knew him from his high school days'.and now officially Shekhar is the financial head of his company'.though he plays a much more important part in his life'.after all he is the only person who wud dare to look into those grave eyes of Adil'.and cud survive the storm in them!!
And now Adil reaches a hospital'.and directly enters a cabin'.where an elderly gentleman is being examined by the doctor.
Doc: Its gud that u came Mr. Raichand'.
Adil: Baat kya hai doctor??
Doc: I'll talk straightly Mr. Raichand'..he doesn't hav much time'.
Adil: Kitna waqt hai??
Doc: Ek ya do mahine'.shayad!!
Adil just nods his head and the doc turns to leave'..but Adil stops him.
Adil: Doctor'.(giving him a number) cud u pls inform his condition to this number?
Doc: Sure'.but who is'
Adil: Its his daughter'.Ashna Sehgal!!
The doc just nods and leaves whereas Adil looks at the man'.who was Ashna's father'.Mr. Sehgal. [main inhe koi aur naam nahi dungi'.waise bhi inke paas waqt hi kitna hai??...hehe]
MS (Mr. Sehgal): Tumne usse'.
Adil: Uska janna zaruri hai'..at least now!!
MS: Par wo seh nahi payegi'.mere bina uska aur koi nahi hai'.wo bardasht nahi kar payegi'.tut jayegi iss sach se'.
Adil: Par agar aap ne ye sach chupake rakha'.to wo aur bhi tut jayegi'.ek na ek din usse pata chal hi jayega'.ki aapko apni bimaari k bare me pata tha'.par apne usse nahi bataya'.jo pal usse aapke saath rehna chahiye tha'..ek beti hone ka farz ada karna chahiye tha'..aapne unn palon me usse shamil nahi kiya'.ye jaan kar kya wo jee payegi??
MS: (smiles a bit) Hamesha ki tarah hi tum sahi ho beta'..
Adil: (looks down) Wo pohuchti hi hogi'.aap araam kijiye'.tab tak main doctor se baat karke ata hu'.
MS: Ruko Adil'.kuch baat karni hai mujhe'tumse!!
Here a car stops in front of the hospital'.and a girl in white churidhar'.hastily gets out of it'.not really caring abt the attention she gained'..she almost ran towards the reception'.asked for the needed information'..and then ran thru the corridor to finally reach the cabin!! But as she stood outside the door'.her hands start shaking'.Wishing it was all a lie'.a misunderstanding!!! However she opens the door'..to knw that it was not!!!
MS: Ashna!!
Adil turns towards the door'.to see Ashna'.finally!! He had not seen her before'.they just never happened to meet'.though they both recognized each other!! Adil was not sumone that cud escape her eyes'.he was always on the news'and Ashna'.was always there in Mr. Sehgal's conversations'.also he had seen her photos. But as he sees her face to face'.he happens to realize she was far more beautiful that she seemed in the photos'.though more than her beauty'..Adil cud notice the pain n fear in those intoxicating eyes'.and also the droplets of tears were not to be missed!!
However'.Adil decides to excuse himself to let the father-daughter hav their space!!
Ashna: Papa'.aap ne wada tod diya!!
MS: Beta'.mere paas to baitho'
Ashna: (shakes her head in a no'.yet sits near him) No'.papa'.U lied to me'.Mom k jaane k baad aap hi ne kaha tha'..hum dono ek dusre k liye jeeyenge'..aur har khushi har gham share karenge'..maine apna wada nibhaya Papa'..lekin jab aapki baari ayi to aapne mujhe paraya kar diya?? Aap aisa kaise kar sakte hai??? (she was crying hard)
MS: Main bas teri aankhon me ye aansoon nahi dekhna chahta tha'.wo bhi mere wajah se to hargiz nahi!!
Ashna: Agar aisa hai to kyun chhupaya aapne mujhse'ye sab kuch?? Aur aapko kya lagta hai'.aap kahenge ki aap mujhe chhorke chale jayenge'.aur main aapko jaane dungi?? Aisa thodi hota hai Papa?? Aapko kuch nahi hoga'.main sab thik kar dungi'.bade se bade doctors aapka treatment karenge and u will be f9 papa'.hai na?? (she was assuring herself more than him)
MS: Main nahi chahta tu kisi jhooth ko jeeye'.sach me koi umeed nahi hai beta'.
Ashna: Umeed kaise nahi hai?? (she shouts in agony) Kaise nahi hai umeed?? Aapko kuch nahi ho sakta Papa'..agar aap nahi honge to mere hone ka kya fayda?? Main kaise jeeungi?? Kiske liye jeeungi?? U hav to live for me Papa'.aap mujhe akela chhorke nahi jaa sakte'..aapne hamesha mere saath rehne ka'.hamesha mera khyal rakhne ka wada kiya tha'..aap kahin nahi jaa sakte Papa!! Mujhe akela chhorke to hargiz nahi'..
MS: Aur agar main kahun'.mere jaane k baad bhi tu akeli nahi rahegi?? (Ashna looks up confused while he continues) Beta'.maine kuch socha hai tere liye'.teri shaadi k liye'.
Ashna: Papa'.abhi waqt nahi hai iss bare me baat karne ka'.aap'
MS: (cutting her) Yehi sahi waqt hai'.main hamesha se tujhe ye batana chahta tha'.ki maine hamesha se tere liye Adil ko chuna tha!!
Ashna: Adil?? Adil Raichand?? (he nods in a yes while she is bewildered) Papa'aapko pata bhi hai aap kya keh rahe hai?? Aapne aisa kaise socha??
MS: Yehi meri khwaish hai Ashna'.jo tum dono ko puri karni hai!!
Ashna: Par Papa aap jante hai'..mujhe wo insaan bilkul achha nahi lagta!! Main to aapko bhi usse dur rehne ko kehti hu'..aur aap mujhe usse shaadi karne ko keh rahe hai?? Pls Papa'.mujhse ye nahi hoga'.
MS: Tujhe ye karna hoga'.mere liye hi sahi'.
Ashna: Par'..
Just then the doc enters and Ashna wipes away the tears'..Adil had entered just behind the doc'.and as soon as Ashna sees him'.she turns away!! She just didn't want to see his face'.right then!! However the doc leaves after a while'..and there was an awkward silence in the cabin'..Seeing their expressions Adil had understood not everything was alright'.so he was trying to find the right words.
Adil: Actually'.I just came to take ur leave'.(to Ashna) and'.I think u wud want to take this'(he gave her a file) Iss me Mr. Sehgal ki reports, prescriptions etc hai'.nothing much'.just take a look!! (she looks up at him blankly while he turns towards MS) Abhi main chalta hu'.baad me aapse milunga'.(and he leaves)
Ashna: To isse sab kuch pata tha'..par mujhe nahi??
MS: Aisi baat nahi hai'..Adil ko to achanak pata chal gaya'accidentally!!
Ashna: (looks away) Its ok Papa'.main ek minute me doctor se baat karke ayi'..(and she leaves)
A few days later'.MS was taken to home'.Ashna was always there wid him'taking full care!!
MS: Pata hai'.aaj kal tu bilkul apni maa jaisi behave karti hai'.bilkul ussi ki tarah mera dhyan rakhti hai!!
Ashna: (smiles) Aur aapko pata hai Papa'..aaj bahut waqt baad aapne mere saamne maa ka zikr kiya'.unki bahut yaad aa rahi hai na aapko??
MS: Hmm'.ab to uske paas hi jaana hai'
Ashna: Papa'.pls'.at least mere samne aisi baat mat kijiye'.
MS: Ashna beta'..tumne kya socha hai'.Adil k bare me??
Ashna: Wo Papa'.
MS: Kya tumhari usse baat hui hai??
Ashna: Nahi'.kyun?
MS: Main bas soch raha tha'.tum ek baar usse mil to lo'.I'm sure uske bare me tumhari rai badal jayegi'.
Ashna: Papa'.kya ye zaruri hai??
MS: Haan'.main sirf uspe itna bharosa kar sakta hu ki tujhe uske paas saupke jaa sakta hu'.
Ashna: Aap filhaal araam kijiye Papa'.baad me baat karenge ok?? Aur haan'.itna pareshan mat hoiye'.
Later that day'..in the evening'..Ashna receives a call'..from Adil.
Ashna: Tumne mujhe kyun call kiya??
Adil: Kyunki mujhe tumse hi baat karni thi'.we need to meet n talk!!
Ashna: Main tumse nahi milne wali samjhe?? Aur phir milke kya baat karni hai?? Tum shayad jante ho mera jawab'.hai na?? Then wats there to talk??
Adil: Tumhare ghar se 20 minutes ki duri par ek khula maidan hai'.I'll be there in 20 minutes!!!
Ashna: Main nahi ane wali'.
Adil: Don't be late!! (and he cuts the call'leaving Ashna shocked)
Ashna: How dare he!!
And now she is all the more irritated'..however she cant help meeting him'.she thought to talk to him'.and end this once and for all'. She reaches the place'.15 minutes late'..and finds him standing there'.facing the moonless sky.
Ashna: Ab kaunsi zaruri baat karni hai tumhe??
Adil: U r late'.but anyways'raat k waqt tumhe yaha bulane k liye'.I'm sorry!!
Ashna: Tum ye sab kehne to nahi aye ho na?? Then why don't u just say watever u actually want to!! U see'.mere paas tum jaise insaan k liye'.zyada time nahi hai!!
Adil: As u might knw'..tumhare Papa chahte hai'.hum dono ki shaadi ho jaye and'''.
Ashna: And as u might knw'.maine already iss shaadi k liye inkaar kar diya hai'.tumse main kabhi shaadi nahi karungi!! Pata nahi Papa ko tumme kya nazar ata hai?? I don't knw why he trusts u so much that he wants me to be wid u'..lekin ek baat saaf hai Mr. Adil Raichand'.main tum par zara bhi bharosa nahi karti'.and u must knw'.ki tum mujhe bilkul raas nahi ate'.kisi bhi keemat pe main apni zindagi tumhare saath nahi guzaar sakti!!
Adil: Phir bhi'..Main chahta hu'.tum shaadi k liye 'haan' kar do!!
Ashna: (stares at him blankly for a while'.and then continues) Tumhe sunayi nahi deta'.ya samajh me nahi ata??
Adil: Do u love sum1 else??
Ashna: Nahi'.(the ans slips ot of her tongue'.though she didn't want to reply to him)
Adil: Then'..Do u hate me??
Ashna: Tum mere liye itna bhi mayne nahi rakhte ki main tumse nafrat karu'.
Adil: To apne Papa k liye itna to kar hi sakti ho na??
Ashna: Main apne Papa k liye kya kar sakti hu kya nahi'.wo mujhe tumhe batane ki zarurat nahi hai'.Mr. Adil Raichand!! Aur naa hi tum mujhe bataoge'.ki mujhe kya karna chahiye kya nahi'.u don't own me'.u get that?? (and she turns to leave)
Adil: But I do own everything u hav'.or rather had!!
Ashna: (stops in her tracks'.and turns to him) Kya matlab??
Adil: Matlab'.tumhare Papa ne Power of Attorney mere naam kar diya hai'.now everything belongs to me'.chaho to tumhe papers bhi dikha sakta hu'.
Ashna: Kya bakwas kar rahe ho?? Aisa kaise ho sakta hai??
Adil: Kyun nahi ho sakta?? Abhi abhi tumne hi kaha na'.ki wo mujhpe bahut zyada bharosa karte hai'.
Ashna: Ohh'to ye fayda uthaya tumne unke bharose ka'.main bhi soch rahi thi'ki tum jaisa aadmi'.jiske bare me kaha jata hai ki wo kabhi kisise seedhe muh baat tak nahi karta'.wo mere Papa se itna attached kaise ho sakta hai?? And see'.I was so right abt u'..U r just disgusting!! Par tumhe kya lagta hai'.tum mujhe daraoge aur main darr jaungi'.sab kuch le lena chahte ho na?? Le jao'.mujhe koi fark nahi padhta'.waise bhi jab koi apna hi nahi hoga'.tab inn paiso ka main kya karungi?? Tum shauk se inhe apne paas rakho'.
Adil: Baat sirf itni nahi hai Ashna'.baat paiso ki nahi'.vishwas ki hai'..kya tum chahti ho'.tumhare Papa ka vishwas tut jaye?? I mean'.jis vishwas aur bharose k saath wo tumhe mere paas saupke'.iss duniya se jaana chahte hai'.kya unki aakhri waqt me wo bhrosa'..wo sahara tum chhin logi?? Wo bhi kis liye?? Apni zidd k liye?? Ye to bikul bhi'.samajhdaari wali baat nahi hui na Ashna'..dekha jaye to tumhare paas khone k liye kuch hai hi nahi'.jabki mujhse shaadi karke bahut kuch paa sakti ho tum'.jaise ki tumhare Papa k chehre ki muskaan'.Unke aakhri dino me'.unke dil ka sukoon'.aur haan aisho araam'.ye sab kuch to hai hi!!! Mujhe to lagta hai ye offer bahut achha hai tumhare liye!!
Ashna: Tum kyun chahte ho'.main tumse shaadi kar lu?? Tumhe isse kya milega??
Adil: Samajh lo'.ye meri zidd hai!!
Ashna: Tum mujhe apni zidd chhorne ko keh rahe the'..aur khud pata nahi kaisi zidd leke baithe ho!! Tumhare saath zindagi guzaarne ki ye kaunsi sazaa hai mere liye?? Aur kyun hai ye sazaa??
Adil: Har 'kyun' ka jawab nahi hota Ashna!! Kahin baar hamein Bhagwan bhi sazaa dete hai'.par hum to unse ye poochh nahi pate na'..ki ye sazaa kis liye?? To tum kyun poochh rahi ho?? Tum kyun isse Bhagwan ki marzi nahi maan sakti?? Mera tumhari zindagi me shaamil hona'..isse tum apni taqdeer kyun nahi maan sakti??
Ashna: Kyunki'.ye Bhagwan ki nahi'.tumhari marzi hai'..
Adil: (in a more strict tone) Ek baat samajh lo Ashna'..tumhe ghar laut kar apne Papa se kehna hai'.ki tum iss shaadi k liye tayyar ho'.warna main sab kuch barbaad kar dunga'.I will destroy everything'.for u'.and ur father!! Wo chain se marr bhi nahi payenge Ashna'.
Ashna just closes her eyes tightly at the very thought of her father'..being dead!! And as soon as she does that'.a few droplets of tears adorn her cheeks. Here Adil turns away his face as he utters the bitter words to her'..but then looks up to see her face'..for the first tym during the whole conversation'.and wat he sees pinches his heart somewhere!! She was crying'..because he was making her do so'..because he was hurting her as much as possible!! However he looks away'.
Adil: To batao'.tumhe meri baat samajh me aa gayi hai'.ya aur samjhana hoga??
Ashna: (wipes away her tears) Kitna achha sauda hai na'.ye tumhare liye?? Dono taraf meri hi haar hai'..but let me tell u'.apni iss haar ko main apni jeet me zarur badlungi'..jo barbaadi tum lane ki baat kar rahe the'.ussi barbaadi ka saamna tumhe karaungi''I'll make u repent this meeting Mr. Adil Raichand!!
And she leaves the place as quickly as possible'.his very existence was hurting her!!
Iss saude me jeet hai hi kaha Ashna?? Jo haar tumhari hogi'.usse zyada badi haar ye mere liye Hai!! Aur rahi baat pachtaane ki'.to kismat mujh par itni bhi meherbaan nahi hai ki wo mauka bhi mujhe de'.mujhe to jaan bujh kar ghalti karni padhti hai!!
And he keeps staring at the sky for sum more tym'.may be trying to draw the similarities btwn the dark sky and his even darker life!!!
