Thanks. I hope things keep on going well for Maneet and Geeta too. I am still trying to figure out how to have Geeta realize that Maan is her father and that Geet and him are still in love after all these years. She will bring them together but I don't know when. I guess you just have to keep reading the FF to find out.

Dear Sumi,
Thanks for liking the update. Yup Geeta is going to India early to explore the land of her birth. I am excited to see Geeta in Delhi. Yup parents always love their kids no matter where in the world they are. Pinky is vicious. She was on a mission to punish Maan first for eating before the picnic and him not telling her Geeta was coming just made the need for revenge worse.

Dear Lovely understanding readers in Maneetland,

Ok, so I decided I would rant before the update. I know I know it is breaking the rhythm of my posts but what can I do I have so much to rant about. And I want to make sure you all read it before getting all greedy for the update.

1. Today's episode. How heart wrenching! I wanted to cry for both of them. Neither one is happy and I am not liking where Maan is going. He seems to be going into a dark place. I just want him to find out the truth so that he knows why Geet has been trying to stay away from him. I don't care what he does after he find out the truth but I want him to know that she loves him, and that she did all this just to save him from the truth. I have a feeling Pari now knows what is going on, please please Pari bring them together and stops Maan from starting WWIII on Geet emotionally. What is wrong with NT, she had gone mental, every woman remembers her wedding annivarsary and no matter how dhokebaz your husband, you hope that at least on that day he is thinking of you and only you, but not NT. Jinki niyat kharab hoti hain, unko har admi khrab hi nazar ata hain. Now that she has seen Geet in the house (I wonder if she thinks it is an illusion, or if she sees Dadi talking to Geet ten she will have a heart attack, good I want her to suffer), poor Dev is going to get it, I hope Maan over hears their fight and puts 2 and 2 together. I am once again hoping too much from this show. The CVs like to make us dance like circus animals, and we do dance because we are addicted to this show. So in summery Polki is not at all happy. I am so sad that I don't even have the ability to torture you all, since I am sure the episode tortured you all enough.

2. Okay enough with the show (okay we can never get enough of the show)so I know that I promised all of yo a nice long update today, unfortunately I was sick yesterday and wasn't able to complete what I wanted to, so you will just have to be happy with what I give you. I worked hard on this too, so I am sure you all with understand.

3. The spoiler from last post, unfortunately it is not going to be in this upcoming post. I know where I need to put it, once again because of my sickness I wasn't able to finish that part. So tomorrow, promise. So no spoiler for today,

4. I hope you all had a great weekend. I had a good time even though I was sick. I hope you all enjoy the update.

Part 18

May was here, Punxsatawney Phil had been correct; Spring had come early and so far it had been wonderful, the weather had stayed cool and comfortable. Geet stood in her kitchen drinking coffee, she was excited to have her baby back home, she had been looking forward to this day day for months, she only had about a month with her baby, before she went to India and Geet was going to make the most of the time between now and then. She looked at her watch, it was 9:30am, Devi was probably on her way, she and Geet were going to pick Geeta up from Harvard today.

Geet had packed all of Radha's stuff, that she had left behind from the the Thanksgiving shopping trip. If Geeta had been bad, Radha had obviously been worse. She had apparently bought what seemed like an entire shoe store. Geet sighed "Where do these young people think money comes from?"

Devi arrived just around 9:50am and was surprised to see all the all the bags by the door, "We are going to pick her up, not drop her off." she told Geet.

Geet, "I know that, all this stuff belongs to Radha, (pointing to the bags) I was going to take it all to Harvard when we dropped Geeta off for the Spring semester, however Radha had absolutely no space for the stuff in the room so Geeta asked if I could bring it at the end of semester when I came to pick her up."

Devi, "wow" picking up some of the bags she said, "lets get going, its going to take us a while to get there, we don't want to be late."

Geet picked up the rest of the bags and followed Devi to the parking garage. After placing all the bags in the trunk of the jeep, they were on their way to Harvard.

As Geet started her trip towards Harvard, Geeta was just finishing her last final. This class had been her favorite this semester and she hoped that she did well on her final. She was sure that what she had learned in this class would help her in the coming year and she was also sure that her mother would be proud at her efforts. All she had to do now was wait for all her grades to be posted, she had already gotten two As and a A+.

She was also still waiting for her Business 101 grades but she wasn't worried, for some reason Geet never had problems understanding business concepts. Who knew maybe if she didn't become an architect she would have a successful career as a business woman. She laughed at the absurd thought, all she had ever wanted to do since she could build with Legos was be an architect like her mother.

The trip to Harvard was pleasant, Geet and Devi had been lucky as drive had been traffic free. By 2:30pm they were pulled into the parking lot in front of Canaday Hall.

Geet called Geeta to let her know that they had arrived, "Baccha, we are here."

Geeta, "That's great, just come up to the room. I am almost done packing."

Geet, "Okay, Devi Masi and I are on the way."

Devi and Geet grabbed all the bags containing Radha's stuff. They had brought them here but how was Radha going to get it all the stuff home to Germany? They got to Geeta's room and saw both Geeta and Radha packing. They also noticed a gentleman there, Geet assumed that he was probably Radha's father. He looked stressed, she was pacing the floor as Radha continued to pack.

Geeta saw her mother and Devi Masi and went and hugged them both. She was relieved that they had arrived because it meant that she could rest as she was certain that the two women would take over the rest of the packing duties.

Radha averted her attention from the packing as she heard Geet's and Devi's voices. She was happy to see them, she went to them greeted then and hugged each one of them. After that she decided to introduce the man in the room, pointing at him she said, "This is my dad, Thomas."

Geet, "Hello Thomas, now I can finally put a face to the voice. How are you? How are Preet and the kids? This is Devi (pointing at Devi)" she smiled.

Thomas, "Oh, Geet, you are right it is nice to put a face to the voice. After talking so many times on the phone it is nice to finally meet. Preet and the kids are fine, she didn't come because the kids are still in school. As for me I was fine when I got here earlier but now I am not so sure." after a pause he gave a small smiled and turned to Devi, "it is really nice to meet you Devi."

Devi, "It's nice to meet you too, what exactly is the problem, why are you stressed?"

Thomas pointing at Radha's end of the room, "Look at all this stuff, how am I going to get it all to Germany, this girl doesn't think of anything, I don't know how she managed to accumulate all this treasure (in a sarcastic tone) in a year." He looked so helpless.

Devi and Geet started laughing since they knew that Thomas had no idea what was yet to come. They had just brought more of Radha's stuff along with them. Geet noticed Thomas looking at them and decided to explain their behavior.

Geet, "Thomas, I am sorry. But I need to tell you that there is more stuff than that (signalling towards Radha's side of the room). We just brought along some more of Radha's stuff. Stuff that she bought while she was in NYC. She had asked me to store it at my place until now."

Thomas stared in amazement all the bags Geet had brought with her and had finally reached the end of the line. He couldn't take it anymore. He put his hands in the air and turned towards Radha, "Was sollen wir mit all diesen Dingen zu tun?" (what are we going to do with all these things) he asked. Thomas had reverted back to the language he was most comfortable with. Radha knew this wasn't a good sign. She didn't know what to say and just raised her shoulders and made a face to indicate that she had no answer to his question.

Not knowing what to do, he called his wife, "Weisst du, was deine Tochter getan hat?" (Do you know what your daughter has done?)

Preet heard the woe in his voice and asked, "What has she done, what can be so terrible that you cannot handle it?"

Thomas, "She has assembled a little shop here, there is so much stuff that my head is spinning just trying to figure out how I I am going to get it all to Germany."

Preet, "It can't be that bad, is Geet there, I spoke to her yesterday, she mentioned that she was coming to pick up Geeta."

Thomas, "Yes, she is here and guess what our daughter had more stuff stored at her house too."

Preet, "Pass the phone to Geet, I want to talk to her. She'll know what to do."

Geet and Devi had been paying attention to Thomas's end of the conversation and when Thomas told Geet that Preet wanted to talk to her, Geet readily took the phone.

Geet, "Hello, Preet. Kya haal chaal hain?"

Preet, "Bas sab kuch theek thaak hain. Par laag raaha hain ki waha pe kuch problems hain."

Geet, "Problem to badi hain, Radha ke paas itne cheeze hain, Thomas bechara boohot parashan nazaar aa raha hain."

Preet, "Geet, please Thomas ki madat kar do, shayad extra luggage kharidna padega."

Geet, "Preet tum tension mat lo, mein aur meeri friend Devi uski madat kar detai hain."

Preet, "Thank you, Geet, for all the help. Thomas is totally useless in these situations. We will talk later, please give Thomas the phone so that I can calm him down." she said laughing.

Geet handed Thomas the phone and Preet quickly explained to him that he could stop pulling his hair out since Geet and Devi were going to help him. They would help Radha pack and if needed they would even buy extra luggage to accommodate all of Radha's things. Preet calmy also said that bringing back all the bags to Germany wouldn't be a problem since they were flying first class and just in case Thomas should just pay any extra baggage fees if needed. She would have a talk with Radha about her shopping once she was home.

Thomas agreed with Preet in silence, he was happy that Geet and Devi were going to help him out and he smiled when he heard Preet talk about having a converstation with Radha about shopping. He knew no such thing would happen as Radha had been absolutely spoiled by everyone. She had been an only child until she was 6 and no one had the heart to say no to her. This had continued even after Mira and Sohan had come along. Radha was a good child she never created any problems her only weakness was shopping and considering all the problems kids could get into Thomas thought it was a blessing that the only thing bad about Radha was her shopping addiction.

Geet and Devi helped Radha pack all her belongings. Once done they relaxed, it had taken longer than expected but considering that they had just saved Thomas from a heart attack they thought their efforts were worth it. Thomas really appreciated all the help and offered to buy everyone dinner. Radha helped Thomas put all of her stuff into the rental car. Geeta, Geet and Devi put all of Geeta's belongings into the Jeep and once the rooms were empty they had the resident advisor do an inventory check; they received the signed check out form and handed over the room keys.

The first year at Harvard and been a good one for Geeta. She had learnt how to be a grown up, she learnt about things she had never thought about and best of all she had made a great friend. She had missed her mom terribly. She was so really looking forward to spending time with her for the next month. She was certain that Geet had planned something special for them, after-all she was only going to be home for about a month this entire year. This separation had been difficult but this was the first step to being an adult.

All 5 people went to dinner and had a great time talking, all the girls could talk about was their upcoming trip to India and all the grownups could talk about was how difficult it had been for them having their kids so far away from them. They talked about the children going to India, Thomas was scared yet delighted for Radha. He was glad that his baby was adventurous. He felt proud that she had inherited his sense of adventure. He told Geet and Devi about his experiences in Africa. Eventually dinner came to an end and they bid each other farewell.

Thomas and Radha were leaving the next morning from Logan Airport for Germany. They had to be at the airport by 8am for their 10am flight. They hit their beds as soon as they got to their rooms.

Geet, Devi and Geeta were on their way to NYC when Geet received a call on her cell phone, she looked at the number and noticed that it was Pinky, she never picked up calls while driving so she let the call go to voicemail. She made a mental note to call Pinky the next day. For now she was just happy listening to her daughter's stories about her spring semester at Harvard and how happy she was that her freshman year was done and over with. Geeta talked about her professors, her classes, the extra-curricular activities she had taken part in. She even surprised Geet by telling her that she had taken Hindi as her foreign language requirement since she thought it would be a good idea for her to be able to read Hindi during her time in India.

Although happy to see her daughter so much interest in India, Geet had a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach, she wasn't sure if it was because this was the first time Geeta would really be away on her own or if there was something else. Yes, Geeta had gone to Boston, but it was only a 4 hour drive from NYC and Geet had the option of getting in her Jeep and visiting her little girl whenever her heart desired, with Geeta being so far away what was Geet to do.

Geet pushed the awful thoughts out of her mind, she had over a month before Geeta was leaving and she planned to make the best of those days. She had made big plans for those days and she was going to make sure that Geeta had an amazing summer break one that she would remember for years to come and even tell her kids about. Geet smiled to herself and continued south on Interstate-84 towards NYC while Devi and Geeta filled the car with chatter.

Great update .. kids at uni and all!! tell me about it .. when mine come back there is so much stuff .. the front room becomes a luggage area till they go back!! So I can appreciate Geet's and Thomas's predicament!! lol!!

Today's episode has everyone in turmoil!! Gurmeet's acting was soo good that yoiu could almosr hear his heart breaking .. truly paikful and Drashti .. imagine what her character had to go thru?? You finally realise that for the first time in your life you respect, trust, beleive and love someone but you can't commit to that relationship because you carry a stigma that even her own family would rather she died than have to accept it!!

Enough of my rant .. please look after yourself and feel better!! ❤️
