To Love Again - part 13
The rain started all of a sudden, without giving a hint about it late in the evening. Finally Maan decided to leave all the incomplete stuffs behind to go home.
He sat in the car and tried to twist the key to start it on. It didn't. He tried for about ten minutes but
failed on his mission. He hit on the steering wheel by his fist and thought about what to do.
Adi answered the phone with bundles of questions on his mind 'hello sir'
'Adi, you need to help me..' Maan explained his situation and told about his whereabouts to Adi.
Without knowing what to do, Adi hired a cab and started his journey to pick up his boss, Maan Singh Khurana.
Exactly after fifteen minutes, Adi's phone rang. Adi prayed to God before answering the call 'h..h..hello'
'Adi, tell me where you are now..I know..well..I understand that you can't come here in fifteen minutes..but I just want to know where you are now' the nervousness in Maan's voice was recognisable to Adi
'sir..I'm just ab..' the call ended before Adi could complete his sentence.
Geet was looking at the raindrops thinking about the similarities she has to share with them. The only difference is that the rain drops are falling from the sky, but hers coming only from her eyes.
She felt lonely without Maan to show her the way. Without him she didn't know where she belong to. She became more worried upon thinking about him. It's been two days, since she is trying to talk to him about the most important yet hidden chapter of her life. She called him, but his phone was switched off.
It was late in the evening and she knew no body will be in the office. No matter what, she would call his office. So she called and knew Maan has already left.
Geet wished a good night for Daadi and went to bed, accepting that she has completely failed on her mission of talking to Maan. She looked at her hands, that glowed her beautiful hands in red. She thought about the words
the lady told her 'your husband will love you more if the colour of henna is dark'. The lady was wrong. She isn't getting married. But why are those words coming to her mind everytime she looks at her hand?
When Maan arrived home it was late but Daadi was still up. 'Maan, you are wet. you could have told me to send the driver to pick you' she complained upon seeing him wet from the rain
'Don't worry Daadima. I'm alright, my car got stucked that's the only problem I faced. How did things go on today? well? please don't say that you have postponed it again for the next day' Maan was more concerned about Geet
'ehm..now I see that my grandson is really keen to get married to Geet. not bad. We had the mehndhi and sangeet together today. Actually I wanted to have everything seperate, but cannot reveal it to Geet yet' Daadi smiled at her grandson standing infront of her.
Maan changed his clothes and had his dinner. Before sleeping he went to see Geet, who was already asleep. With the opening of the door, he smelled henna. He stopped at her feet to look at the decorations and touched her small feet with his hands.
Slowly, observing her curves he looked at her beautiful hands. He saw the dark colour of henna and a huge grin went across his face when he saw his name on her hand.
He sat on the bed and took her hands by his very own hands and placed on his chest. He then placed his lips on her palm and whispered through his tears. 'Geet, I'm just trying to walk with you in all the paths of life..good or bad..I always pray for you..all I want in my life is you..I want to see you the happiest among all..I know that you have walked through difficult paths by yourself..I want to wrap you deep in my heart, where no one can access to hurt you..'
