Unfortunately, I had to leave this FF midway, due to the heroine had changed lovers! 🤣 My lovely Divya no longer has a thing for Harshad, and now the poor soul has been replaced by Ian/Damon from Vampire Diaries! 🤣 I hate leaving things unfinished, so I'm going to do the worst thing POSSIBLE! I *wipes tears of remorse* am going to pull off an Ekta Kapoor act! Do NOT kill me for the sudden change of events that will occur within the chapter. 😆
For those who wanted a different ending. I am SORRY lol! But I can't allow my buddy Divs to do a 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' attempt, and compell her to compromise with someone she NO longer loves! 😆
Divs, behoodi! This is your late birthday present from me! You better love me more after this! 😈
You Belong to Me
Chapter Eight
A sudden gush of wind blew through her tangled hair as she angrily descended the staircase, welcoming the darkness of the hauntingly chilly night fall. Enough was enough! Divya thought to herself, whilst she rapidly brushed her stinging tears away. Three miserable years had passed since she first met or should she say, accidentaly encountered Harshad, and yet his sweet words continued to haunt her till today.
With one last lingering look over her shoulder, Divya re-read the name of the building, to remind herself, that she had to let go of the past.
Mental Institute
Divya's lips wobbled in hysterical bouts of laughter, laughing and yet inwardly cursing at the joke her life had become. Flashbacks of the past, came rushing in, tormenting her very existance. His deep voice whispered into her memories as she recalled his very first words. 'Don't worry, I wont let anything happen to you. Nothing can ever happen to you whilst I am alive. My beautiful Divya'. The rememberance of his words caused her to snort; for his so-called beautiful Divya had instantly been replaced by his shrieks for 'Taani'.
She commenced walking down the footpath as she continued to recall those precious moments she had shared with him in the hospital, and the office. However, dreams are destined to either come true, break apart, or to mislead you into thinking that they will be fulfilled. Unfortunately in her case, the latter was the ultimate result. The lust or infatuation that could have been blossomed into love, had stopped the moment he called her 'Taani' instead of 'Divya'. Oh that was certainly her luck! Divya thought bitterly, somehow, she had ended up lusting over an escaped mental patient!
Divya stopped before her parked car, and earnestly began to look for her car keys. 'Shit shit shit' she murmured as she dug her arms in her bag, looking for the accursed keys. Why was a womens bags such a mystery? She thought to herself in annoyance. Somehow, any item miraculously in the bag disappears in the deepest, and most darkest places.
If god had felt some sympathy for her today, he would have at leat delayed the rain. But nope! Just like typical bollywood movies, a rain (very uncalled for) drop landed right on Divya's chilled cheeks. With a shriek, Divya looked up at the sky as the sound of thunder began to emerge. Before she could find her keys, get in the car, and shield herself, the rain came down heavy and pouring.
From the corner of her eyes, Divya noticed a bright pair of clothing running towards the mental institute. She squinted her eyes to get a clearer vision, and suddenly wished she hadn't. The creature running for her life, with sindoor smeared on her forehead, was the reason for her heart break. Taani.....Harshad's past and present obsession had finally come to meet him. 'I hate you' Divya whispered through mouthfuls of water, 'both you crazy lovers deserve one another'.
At last, her hand came in contact with her keys and some other crushed item. Snaking her arms out of the bag, Divya stared at the crushed and dead rose that had been placed and forgotten for the passed three years. Tears welled in her eyes as she remembered what a infatuated fool she had been, hiding Harshad's flowers in her bag.
'Let go of the past' Divya muttered to herself. That being said, Divya threw the dead rose away, as if she were flinging her past away as well.
'Tsk, the poor rose is always casted away - when a heart is broken' a deep masculine voice called out. Divya's body froze at the sound of his musical voice. 'Once in love, the flower is suddenly the most precious thing' he continued, 'but once your heart broken, the flower no longer holds any importance'.
'What are you some kind of Flower lecturer?' Divya snapped in response as she turned around to face the unknown person.
'If that's what you want to call it' he replied in an amused tone.
Divya almost staggerd on the flat surface; her water-filled mouth had suddenly been rendered dry. An owl would have hooted in envy, had it seen the way or shall I say, the extent to which Divya's eyes had widened in sheer astonishment. If looks could kill - was the first rationale thought that came into mind whilst staring at the breath taking stranger. Standing on about 6 feet, his muscular and very broad shoulders were hardly concealed by the expensive leather jacket. His dark brown hair, complemented beautifully with his lightly tanned complexion. A playful side-smirk lingered on his lips, as he gazed piercingly at her. It wasn't just his amazing looks that held her spell-bounded. It was the intensity of his light blue eyes that literally sparkled out of his face, threatening to dazzle the very breath out of her.
'Judging by the way your openly gaping at me' the sexy male creature suggested, 'your either impressed by my flower speech, or downright petrified that a random stranger is standing in the rain before you, preaching about flowers'.
Oh dear god! His American accent only intensified the sizzling attraction, as she unshamingly ogled his very finely chiseled face. The guy must seriously have a thing for flowers, she thought to herself. Damn damn damn! Divya could have literally slapped herself for throwing the rose away! She couldn't well damn try to suck up to him and impress him, by claiming that she loved flowers too. Not when she had just attractively flung it away a few seconds ago!
'uh well' she tried to clear her voice, 'the flower was dying.....and it's raining......so errr....I thought it needed some rain to ...uh..come alive again?' she finished off stupidely. Her shame increased as the stranger just stared at her, clearly astounded by her words. Divya frantically looked at the ground, hoping to find a means, to just sink into the ground, bury herself, down the tectonic plates, so she could burn in shame whilst she floated around the flaming solar system! SHE DID NOT JUST SAY THAT!
The stranger obviously took it a different way, for instead of simply just walking away - he threw his head back and howled with laughter. Clutching his stomach (may I add - what a sexy stomach that was), he roared with the hilarity of her response.
Giggling nervously, Divya walked slowly towards the flower, aiming to pick it up and redeam herself from his 'flowerly' eyes. But of course, her high heels had other plans. Her unfaithful shoes was obviously *JUST like it's owner* overwhelmed with the strangers presence, thus causing it to purposely trip her over. With a shout, Divya stumbled and basically tackled the laughing stranger onto the cold ground.
His arms were instantly around her, as if to steady her as she landed onto his hard chest. The muscles in his arms rippled through his clothing, causing delicious shivers to run down her spine. His face was only inches away from hers, as he silently stared up at her blushing face. As if on a will of his own, he lightly touched her pink cheeks, marvelling at how someone could blush so adorably. 'Beautiful' he murmured without breaking his gaze.
Divya by no means even attempted to get off, as she was content, lying on top of him, in the middle of no where, drenched in the non stopping rain. 'I'm really s-' she tried to speak but was instantly cut off by his voice.
'Don't ruin the moment by apologizing' he stated. 'Since we are in such an awkward position, it makes it even more awkward that after a long speech about flowers, and you jumping me onto the ground - I still haven't asked for your name'.
'Oh' Divya breathed out with a shaky laugh 'I'm Divya'.
'Well it's a pleasure to meet you Divya' he replied with a side smile, 'I'm Damon Salvadore, however some folks like to call me Ian. Whatever suits you'.
'I like both names' Divya replied, mesmerised.
Damon chuckled at her response, 'well you could call me both, if you can't decide which one you like better'.
'Mrs Divya Damon/Ian Salvadore sounds even better' she mused out loudly. With a strangled shriek, Divya realized that she had spoken her thoughts out loud. Oh no oh no! Her mind started to pound frantically as she realized how damn obsessive and freaky she just sounded right now! His definately going to think I'm a mental patient! That thought made her groan. Ironically, they were both outside a mental institute as well...Well life just seemed to get more complicated. Far too embarassed to face him, Divya took the cowards way out. With a dramatic sigh or was it a strangled yelp? She feigned unconsciousness as she pretended to faint away, back onto his chest. Anything to save her from humiliation.....
Had she the guts to face him, she would have noticed that instead of a disgusted look, Damon was staring with a small knowing smile playing on his full lips. 'It does sound better' he murmured as he gladly welcomed her back into his arms.

'Where on earth is Manal?' Samira whispered to Priti, as she looked around the crowded venue. Priti snapped her attention back to Samira, 'I'm trying to look for that behoodi as well'. Both sighed and shook their heads. Manal, the youngest of the group always got the protective motherly instincts out of them all.
Whilst looking around, a guy approached Priti and asked her to dance. Samira nudged Priti encouragingly, only to be given a death glare in response. Raising her eyebrows, Priti stared at the guy, giving him the 'are you kidding me?' glare. Obviously knowing the answer, the guy walked off, dejected and utterly rejected. Samira began to laugh, only to stop and catch her breath as she stared at the most breath taking man ever to behold.
'Close your gaping mouth you behoodi' Priti murmured, 'your drooling'. Samira licked the drool, paying no heed to the fact that she was shamefully and very obviously staring at him. 'What's his name?' Samira breathed out dreamily.
'That would be Maan Singh Khurana' a voice replied behind them. Both turned around to see Aaliyah standing with a knowing smile on her face. 'Finally you came' Priti announced, 'what took you so long?'
'Divya is nervous about the entire thing!' Aaliyah blurted out, 'she's getting cold feet about the entire wedding'.
'I'll marry him if she doesn't feel to well' Samira broke in. Aaliyah and Priti shook their head, clearly deciding it was best to just ignore her.
'Where's the rest of the gang?' Priti asked Aaliyah. With an amused smile, Aaliyah indicated both Shilpa and Aleena's surroundings. Shilpa was far too busy listening to Jay Sean sing, a dreamy expression etched upon her lovely serene face. Whereas, Aleena was in the midst of a deep and meaningful conversation with the grooms brother, Stephan. The girls knew that Aleena was trying to memorize the entire conversation, so she could tell and gossip to the entire gang about it.
'I can't see Mima?' Priti stated as she laughingly overlooked the rest of the behooda gang. 'Mima's with Divya' Aaliyah said, 'she's trying to calm her nerves down'.
'Hold on a second' Samira interuppted, 'For some reason, something smells like Mc Donalds around here'. That being said, all three girls raised their eyebrows knowingly. 'Manal!' they called out. From within the crowd, Manal's cute face emerged. With a cheeky grin, she held out her Mc Donalds bag, 'want some fries?' Aaliyah and Priti affectionately hugged Manal, 'we were all looking for you' they stated at the same time.
'Shhh guys, it's time' Shilpa announced as she and Aleena walked passed them. All of the girls walked together and opened the grand doors. Music began to play in the background, as Divya stepped out, with Mima standing beside her. Dressed entirely in bridal wear, Divya looked absolutely stunning. The entire gang took their places beside and behind Divya, escorting her to the awaiting groom.

Divya's heart skipped a beat as she caught sight of her Damon, whom in return couldn't seem to get his eyes away from her. He was standing in the mandap, his arms stretched out, waiting patiently for his bride to arrive. Just before she was about to grasp his hand, her behoodi friends embraced her lovingly. 'Introduce me to Maan Singh Khurana after the wedding rituals' Samira whispered into her ear. Divya laughingly pinched Samira, knowing that this crazy behoodi would never change her ways.
After embracing her family and friends, Divya placed her hands gently upon Damons. His hand squeezed hers possessively as they both sat down, listening to the priest's instructions. Time stood still as she savoured each and every aspect of her wedding. It was a blessing to watch her behoodi gang standing together, as each and every one of them smiled through their tears of joy. 'I love you all' she mouthed out to them.
'I hope you love me too' Damon whispered into her ears.
'That depends' Divya whispered back playfully, 'if you love me too.'
'I do' he breathed out with all the honesty and sincerity he could muster up within him.
'I do too' she replied through gleaming tears, amazed that her luck could have changed so drastically.
Confessions were uttered, as he filled her forehead with the sindoor, and tied the mangalsutra around her neck. The behoodi gang started to cheer and throw rose petals at the newlywed couple as they walked around the fire seven times, pledging their love and faithfulness around the fire that would bind them for 7 lifetimes and beyond. Forever till eternity. Divya and Damon/Ian would always belong to one another 🤗
The END! 😆
Authors Note
Now tell me, was that an Ekta Kapoor drama or WHAT!? 😆 Sorry I had to end it off so quickly. But I'm on a holiday and thus was unable to continue the story. Divya now loves Damon/Ian, and so as her friend - I had to give her the ending she would have desired. Sorry for any other behoodi member who I missed out to mention. I don't really know anyone else apart from those mentioned. Anyway Divs, hope this was a nice LATE birthday present for you! Love you loaaaads! 🤣 And this should go on our memory wall. The day when Samira had to become Ekta Kapoor for Divya! 😆
OH! And my apologies to Harshad for suddenly making him a mental patient. Hope you and Taaani have a happy life! 😆
If your wondering what Harshad is doing now, whilst Divs is getting married to Damon. Heres a sneak peak 😉
