A few days had passed by now...Kashish had become really good friends with Sujal as they spent a lot of time together..going around mauritius...it was saturday night...Sujal had come over for dinner at Sinha house...they ate dinner together whilst talking...after dinner they all went out and were sat in the garden...it was quite cool outside at this time as it was evening time...Kashish was feeling the cold..gently rubbing her arms..

Maahi: tumhe thand lag rahi hai kya....

Kashish: haa..woh aaj thand kuch jyada hi hai......but i'm fine..don't worry Maahi...

Maahi: tu bhi na...tu beth main tere liye teri shawl lati hoon...

Kashish: Maahi...jaane do na...

But Maahi doesn't listen to her and gets up from there...Kashish watched her go and then got into a casual conversation with Sujal and Abhinav...Maahi walked inside and went into Kashish's room...she opened her closet to find her shawl..when she saw it on the top shelf..she reached out for it and brought it down..when something fell to the ground..Maahi looked down and saw a pair of ghungroos...she was surprised to find them there..she just looked at them and then lifted them in her hands...taking them down with her shawl...she walked back into the garden...Kashish was lost in her conversation when Maahi placed the ghungroos infront of her..Kashish was surprised and got up..

Kashish: yeh..yeh kahan mille tumhe

Maahi: haa tumhare closet me se mile....yeh yaha kya kar rahe hai...aur na hi tumne kabhi kuch bataya iske bare me...Kashish jawab do muje...

Kashish: woh...Maahi...darasal...muje classical dancing ka bohat shauk tha...aur main pichle 10 saalon se classical dancing kar rahi hoon..

Maahi: aur ek bar bhi tumhe hume batana sahi nahi samja....kyun Kashish ...kyun aaj tak tumne hume kuch nahi kaha....

Kashish: i'm sorry Maahi...mera matlab yeh baat chupane se nahin tha...par muje lagga shayad Dad yeh sab pasand na karen..isliye maine kabhi iska zikr nahin kiya

Abhinav: tumhe mujse darr laga ki main tumhe mana kar dunga...

Kashish: hmmm...muje lagga shayad aapko yeh sab pasand na ho..tabhi maine kabhi is baare me na aapse kuch kaha aur na hi Maahi se

Abhinav: agar beta tumne hume pehle bataya hota to main aur Maahi tumhe pura support karte....lekin her bar ki tarah tum kuch jazbat kuch fasile apne tak hi rakhte ho.....

Kashish: i'm really sorry dad..shayad meri wajah se aapko takleef pohanchi...us waqt maine wahin kiya jo muje theek lagga..please aap mujse naraaz mat hoiye..

Abhinav: beta hum log tumse naraz bhilkul bhi nahi hai...balke hum to khush hai ki tumhe hindustan ki sanskriti ko samja...use bhi tumne apnana chaha....jo bahot kam log karte hai lekin tumne kar dikhaya....apni yeh talent ko kabhi kisi se mat chupana....yahi tumhara sabse bada dost hai...hamesha tumhare saath rahega...

Kashish just smiles at Abhinav..

Kashish: thank you so much dad..i am so lucky ke muje aap jaise dad mille jo muje hamesha support karte hain..i love you dad...aur maine kabhi apni kala ko chupaya nahin..infact pichle 5 saal se me college ke cultural programme mein hissa le rahi hoon..aur hal saal best classical dancer ki trophy muje hi milli hai...

Maahi: aur tune itni badi khushi mujse chupayi.....taki main tujse treat na mangu...

Kashish just smiles at her...

Kashish: bilkul sahi guess kiya tumne Maahi

Abhinav: ab sab kuch pata chal gaya hai to hume apna dance nahi dikhaogi....

Kashish: no dad..dance karne ke liye ek wajah ki zaroorat hoti hai...jo filhaal to nahin hai..jab hogi tab main aapko dikhaungi..promise..

Maahi: pakka promise na....bhul to nahi jaogi...

Kashish: pakka promise..tumhari yeh treat mujpar udhaar rahi...aur main isse nahi bhulungi

Sujal: tum dono na ek dusre ki opposite ho....kabhi kabhi sochta hoon ki tum dono behen bhi ho ki nahi...

Kashish: haan..hum alag to hain...after all hum dono ek alag mahaul me bade huye hain..aur humara nature bhi bachpan se alag hai..phir bhi hum dono behnain hi hain

Maahi: aur nahi hum kabhi ek dusre ki tarah ban sakte hai...

Kashish: exactly...isliye..aage jaake shayad tumhe aur bhi bohat kuch alag dikhe..

Sujal: isse sochke bhi darr lagta hai ki kahi tum dono milke meri zindagi hi barbad na kar do...

Kashish: aur hum aisa kyun karenge?

Sujal: woh to tum kabhi bataogi nahi....

Kashish: haan woh tho hai..ab tak tumhe pata chal hi gaya hoga ke main kitni secretive hoon...main kab kya kehdun kissi ko pata bhi nahin chalega

Sujal: haa woh to pata hai lekin kabhi kabhi dil ki baat bhi kisi ko bataya karo.....shayad isse kuch hamara bhi faida ho...

Kashish just smiles at him..

Kashish: aap kaunsa faida dhundne me lagge hain..zarra hume bhi to bataiye...

Sujal: waqt to aane do phir batata chalunga.....

Kashish: theek hai...to tum bhi waqt ka intezaar karo...tumhe bhi sab waqt ke hisaab se hi pata chal jaayega

Sujal: intzaar rahega tumhare jawaab ka...

Kashish just looked at him for a moment as he smiled at her..she felt happy thinking Sujal was also develnping feelings for her

Sujal: achcha ab main chalta hoon uncle...waise bhi kal to hum log mil hi rahe hai mall me....after all Kashish ki shopping jo hai...

Kashish: wow...i must say tumhari yaadasht bohat achi hai...haan..kal hum sab ja rahe hain shopping pe..isliye Sujal tum jaldi aajana..muje thoda time lagta hai..

Maahi: tum jane dogi tab woh kal waqt pe aayegana....ab jane bhi do use....tum apna chatter box kal uske saath kholna ..thik hai..

Kashish: to maine kab roka hai Sujal ko...Sujal..kya maine tumhe roka?

Sujal: nahi...nahi to...

Kashish: dekha Maahi...ab to Sujal ne bhi kehdiya...ab to yakeen agaya na ke maine usse nahin roka

Maahi: Sujal tum abhi jao warna zindagi bhar is chatter box me kaid ho jaoge.

Sujal: baat to tumhari sahi hai Maahi...lagta hai muje ab sach me chalna hi chahiye...ok uncle...Maahi...and Kashish...goodnight

Abhinav: good night...

Sujal gets up from there and leaves the house...the rest of them get up too..leaving for their respective rooms..

It was now Sunday evening...as planned the four of them went shopping to the mall..they had done quite a lot of shopping and were walking in the mall towards the parking lot...maahi and Sujal were walking ahead and talking about business relating issues...they were so lost in their conversation that they were unaware that Kashish and abhinav were no longer behind them...when Maahi turned to ask Abhinav something and stopped seeing no one there

Maahi: arre...yeh Dad aur Kashish kahan rehgaye

Sujal: abhi tak to yahi the...lagta hai wapad usi shop me gaye...

Maahi: yeh Kashish bhi na...kitni shopping karti hai...kuch reh gaya hoga to dad ko leke chali gayi hogi..kamsekam batana to chahiye tha na

Sujal: its ok...wapas chalke dekhte hai....

Maahi: hmmm...chalo dekhte hain

Sujal looks at Maahi and then both turn around...heading off towards the last shop...they were walking towards the entrance when Sujal spotted Kashish and Abhinav eating ice cream in the distance....Sujal tapped Maahi's shoulder..

Sujal: Maahi..woh dekho

Maahi: Dad aur ice cream...

Sujal: chalo dekhte hain...

Sujal looks at Maahi who was looking angry and follows her quietly as they walked to Abhinav and Kashish...

Maahi: Dad...yahan kya horaha hai

Abhinav: kya ho raha hai matlab...main aur meri beti ice cream enjoy kar rahe hai....

Kashish: aur kitna tasty bhi hai....

Maahi: Kashish!!!..yeh kya bachpana hai...tum aisa kaise karsakti ho...tumhe pata haina Dad ko diabetes hain..phir bhi

Kashish: chill maahi...her waqt itna gussa kyun ho jati ho....sugerfree ice cream hai...woh dekho likha hai kitne bade shabdo me........Royal Sugarfree Ice cream Shop.........lagta hai tumhara dimg thanda karne ke liye tumhe bhi ice cream khilani hogi..........so Maahi ke liye ek strawberry aur Sujal ke liye......hmm..........butter scotch...right..guys..

Sujal just smiles...

Sujal: yes right...chill Maahi...sugarfree hai...so don'tworry

Maahi: good..meri to koi ab value hi nahi rahi.......

Sujal: aisi koi baat nahin...main to bas tumhara ghussa thanda karne ki koshish kar raha tha...ab chalo tum udaas mat raho...aur ice cream lelo..Kashish...Maahi ki ice cream kahan hai

Kashish: abhi lati hoon...one second..

Kashish goes towards the ice cream shop and buys a butter scotch and a strawberry ice cream...she walked back towards them with a smile and passed Maahi her ice cream and Sujal is

Kashish: lo Maahi..now please...cheer up

Maahi: muje nahi khani sugerfree ice cream....main ja rahi hoon coffee lene...

Sujal: come on Maahi...Kashish itne pyar se leke aayi hai...lelo na

Maahi: to tum hi dono khalo..thik hai..

Kashish: Maahi tum...

When suddenly she stopped talking and quickly came and hid behind Sujal holding onto his arm...they all looked at Kashish in surprise..

Abhinav: kya hua beta?

Kashish: kuch mat kaho...yaha se chalo please....usse pehle woh muje yaha dekh ke mera murder kar de..

Sujal: kaun...tum kiski baat kar rahi ho

Kashish: woh samne jo ladki hai woh...ple muje yaha se bahar nikalo..

Sujal looks across to see a girl...around Kashish's age with her parents...he looked back down at her and then slowly started walking with Kashish following behind him...holding on to his arm tightly...trying not to be seen...They all walked outside the mall walking towards parking lot..When they finally reached the parking lot..Kashish sighed in relief and let go of Sujal

Maahi: ab batao kya hogaya tha

Kashish: nahi...pehle hum car me jake bethte hai taki woh muje na dekhe...

Sujal: par woh yahan to nahin

Kashish: tum sab chal rahe ho ki khich ke la jau..

Sujal; acha theek hai chalo...

Sujal unlocks the door and they all sit inside the car...Sujal dries off whilst Kashish ducks her head..making sure she is out of sight

Sujal drives away from the mall whilst Kashish sighed in relief..

Maahi: Kashish...kya tum bata sakti ho ke yeh sab drama kya tha

Kashish: woh ladki jo mall me thi woh uske saath college me thi...uska naam Rohini hai....woh Rohan ke piche pagal thi college me aur Rohan Sia ke piche,,...Rohan Sia se pyaar karta tha to maine Rohini ko hatake Sia aur Rohan na match fix kar diya.....aur tumne Rohini ki half body size to dekh hi chuki jo Rohan aur Sia ko saath dekhke jalne se huyi hai.......aur agar aaj woh muje yaha dekh leti to pata nahi kitni gali deti usse uska Rohan churake Sia ko dene ke liye.........

They all just looked at her surprised..and then at each other..

Abhinav: Maahi beta..tumhe nahin lagta..humne Kashish ko India me akele chodke galti ki...

Maahi: ji dad..muje bhi yahin lagta hai...pata nahin isne aur kaunsi kaunsi galtian humse chupayi hain

Kashish: ek ke bad ek sab samne aati jayegi,,,

Sujal: ek ke baad ek...Kashish..kahin tumne bank robbery to nahin ki India mein..ya to kissi ka murder

Kashish: abhi tak to kisi ka murder nahi kiya lekin agar kisi ne meri baat nahi mani to main pakka uska khoon kar dungi..........muje wahi chahiye jo mera hai..

Sujal: oh..yaani tumse bach ke rehna hoga...

Kashish: mujse bachna chahte ho..

Sujal: bachna to hoga na...agar kahin maine tumhari koi baat na maani...to tum to mera murder kardogi

Kashish: tadpa tadpa ke karungi...

Sujal: Maahi..tumhari behen bohat dangerous hai..

Maahi: tum bhi na Sujal...Kashish sirf mazaak kar rahi thi...par haan..Kashish jo bhi chahti hai us cheez ko paa kar hi rehti hai

Kashish: kashish ko tum jitna sochte ho utni buri bhii nahi......

Sujal: arre hum to mazaak kar rahe the Kashish..tum to bohat achi ho

Kashish: mera mazak bana rahe ho...

Sujal: nahin..main serious hoon...tum sach me dil ki bohat achi ho..

Kashish: sach me....

Sujal: sach mein...

He just smiles at her through the rear view mirror..she looked back at him with a smile..as he drove off to their house...after reaching at Sinha house...Sujal dropped them off and then left from there..

It was another typical weekend..and like all weekends, Abhinav, Sujal and Maahi would go for jogging in the morning at beach..they were all jogging together and slightly panting as they talked about a business deal..and Kashish was steadily walking behind eeating potato chips...Abhinav pausesfor a moment catching his breath..when he looks back and sees Kashish eating chips..he slows down and waits for Kashish to come...Kashish smiles at him as he looks at her,.she offers him chips

Abhinav: thanks beta

Kashish: no need for thanks....

Abhinav smiles at her and then starts walking beside Kashish whilst eating chips..Maahi and Sujal were still chatting away when Sujal realised Abhinav wasn't there...he stopped in confusion and turned around to see him eating chips with Kashish...Maahi stopped too at seeing him and looked in the direction he was...she was shocked to see what was going on...she just walked back and looked at Abhinav..who dropped a chip half way as he saw Maahi approach...

Maahi: Kashish!..yeh sab kya hai...tum na..dad ki health kharab kardogi..

Sujal: aur uncle aapko workout ki zaroorat hai.....aapki sugar ko control me rakhne ke liye...aur aap hai ki aur sugar badha rahe hai....

Abhinav: beta main diabetic hoon.aur uske saath saath muje dil ki bhi bimari hai...mera dil ab pehle ki tarah nahi thoda kamzor ho gaya hai..zyada jogging se muje heart attack bhi aasakta hai..aur main heart attack se abhi marna nahi chahta....mujse aur nahin jogging ho raha ..

Maahi: us darr ki waje se aap jogging karna to nahi chod sakte...

Abhinav: par beta...mujse zyada work out nahin kiya jaata..kya karun

Kashish: main ghar ja rahi hoon...aap aajana thodi dair me...

Abhinav: kya!..par kyun beta?..hum bhi saath chalte haina kuch dair me

Kashish: jee nahi aap abhi nahi aa sakte...aap sab do ghante ke bad hi ghar aa sakte hai....main aapke liye special work out ka kuch intzaam karti hoon..

Maahi: special workout?..Kashish kya matlab hai tumhara..

Kashish: thoda sa sabar..thoda intzaar...thoda surprise...

They all look at her confused...when she trashed the chips and walked away with a smile...they just watched her go in surprise...

Maahi: yeh Kashish bhi na...har waqt soch me daal deti hai

Sujal: ab kaise pata chalega...ab to ghar hum 2 ghante bad hi to ja sakte hai...pata nahi kya sochti hai...kya hai uske dil me...koi nahi jan sakta...

Maahi: woh aisi hi hai...usse jaan na bohat mushkil hai...ab dad aap chaliye...aapko thodi si aur jogging karni hai

Abhinav: tum log chalo main kuch dair yaha aaram karunga...

Maahi: dad aap...

aSujal: Maahi..uncle ko kuch waqt rest karne do...chalo..

Abhinav: thank you beta...tum log jao main yahi pe hoon..

Sujal: theek hai uncle...chalo Maahi...

Maahi just looks at Abhinav and sighs...she then looks at Sujal..

Maahi: theek hai..chalo..

Sujal smiles at her and then they start jogging again..whilst Abhinav settles on a bench watching them go...

2 hours later the three of them reach home..they walk inside the house and start looking around for Kashish...but she wasn't there...Abhinav looked at the others confused..

Abhinav: yeh Kashish kahan rehgayi

Maahi: pata nahi,,,main dekhti hoon......Kashishhhhhhh,,,,,,

Maahi starts calling out for her..when she hears her voice..

Kashish: i'm in the back yard!..jaldi se aao sab yaha!

Sujal: yeh piche back yard me kya kar rahi hai..

Maahi: pata nahin ab kya socha hai usne..

Abhinav: woh to jaake hi pata chalega..chalo..

The others nod in agreement and start walking to the backyard with Abhinav...they reach outside and were surprised to see Kashish placing a wall size canvas against the wall..with the help of the maid..and she had a table infront with different colored paint pots...

Abhinav: beta..yeh sab..

Kashish: dad...yeh sab colors hai...woh Maahi ka Green......aapka black.......aur mera yeh Red....lekin muje nahi pata tha ki Sujal ko kaunsa pasand hai isi liye sare colors le aayi taki woh khud pasand kar le...ab aap sab soch kya rahe hai...apne apne colors aur yeh brush lo aur jo pasand aaye use is wall pe paint kar do.

Sujal: muje white pasand hai...par canvas to pehle se white hai...isliye blue..

Maahi: par Kashish..isse kya hoga?

Kashish: isse dad ki work out bhi achche se ho jayegi aur dad ko jogging na karne se heart bhi sahi salamat rahega....kabhi to kuch regular life se alag socha karo..

Maahi: ab hum issi duniya me rehte hain to regularly sochenge na..tum to kissi aur duniya se lagti ho

Kashish: ofcourse...main jannat ki duniya se hoon......

Sujal: ab pari ji...hum workout shuru karen...kitne saal hogaye painting kiye..main kuch jyada hi excited hoon..

Abhinav: aur main bhi

Kashish: to maine kaunse tum dono ke haath bandhe hai.....yeh lo brush.....

Kashish passes them the brushes as they excitedly take them and pick up there colour pots..

Sujal: Maahi..wahan kya kar rahi ho..tumhe nahin karni kya?

Maahi: koi painting nahi hogi....sari deewar ki sakal bigadna chahte ho kya...

Kashish: Maahi main pagal nahin hoon...maine washable colours liye hain...kuch nahin bigdega..

Maahi; getting smart..

Kashish: woh to main hamesha se hoon..tumhe ab pata chal raha hai?

Maahi: ab chal raha hai kuch kuch..

Kashish: to lo..issi khushi main yeh brush pakdo..aur saath me apna green paint..

Kashish passes her the brush and Maahi takes her pot...and then they all stood infront of the canvas in a line

Kashish: sab log ready haina ab

Abhinav: ab kuch dair ke liye apni juban ko aaram karne degi tu...

Kashish: ab main kuch nahin kahungi..lets paint..

They all move forward and start painting..there paint brush going in every direction..as they painted,the paint splashed back on their faces...2 hours had passed by now..and finally the canvas was filled completely...the four stood there covered fully in paint..there hands,clothes and faces filled with drops of paint..they stood there silently and looked completely shattered now..

Kashish: dad.....kya aap meri pehli film finance karenge..

Abhinav: pehli film..matlab?

Kashish: soch rahi hoon ke 3 idiots ke bad main 4 idiots bana hi doon....casting ke liye bhi muje kahi jana nahi hoga...

They all looked towards her minus any expressions as they were too tired to say anything...they looked back at the canvas standing there still..

Kashish: maria..take our picture...agar meri kal movie aayi to isi pic ko main promotional ke daur pe use karungi...

The maid just smiles at her words and picks up the camera...Kashish turns around..facing towards the maid as she instructs..and then turn around to her position...there backs all facing the camera as they are still looking at their master piece in idiotic way...Maria took a picture and then passed the camera to Kashish as she looked at it..

Kashish: perfect..

Maahi: let me look...

Sujal: muje bhi dekhna hai...

Kashish comes in between them all as they gather around her..

Kashish: there..the perfect 4 idiots

Sujal: i love my 4 idiots..

Kashish just looks at him lifting her head as he was smiling at the picture...

Kashish: me too..

Maahi: thanks Kashish....for this sweet memories..

Kashish: isme thanks ki kya baat hai..yeh to meri aadat hai..yaadon ko kaid karna mere liye hamesha khushi ki baat hoti hai

Sujal: shayad dus saal isi ke sahare tumne bitaye..

Kashish: hmmm...woh to hai...in tasveeron ki wajah se hi to maine khud ko kabhi akela nahin samja hai...mere saath har pal yeh tasveerain thi...jinke sahare maine 10 saal guzare..binna apni family ke

Sujal: lagta hai aage ka bhi yahi khyal hai ki kuch aur..

Kashish: woh to tumhe aage hi pata chalega..lets leave that as a surprise..

Maahi: ohhh...again one more SURPRISE!!!...

Kashish: ofcourse..tumhe to pata hona chahiye ke main koi bhi kaam binna surprise diye nahin karti..

Abhinav: ab andar chale...bahot bhukh lagi hai....kuch nasta ho jaye saath me..

Kashish: i think thats a good idea...chaliye Dad..Sujal..Maahi..tum bhi chalo..

They all start walking back to the house..tired after jogging and the painting exercise
