Neetz, that was AR all the way. Its kind of sad now the tragedy befits them like none other. But I was drawn to this like a hungry soul is to the single loaf of bread, because it had colors, and then you went through his thought process of chossing what shade suits his masterpiece best - and voila! grey..i could see the sketch coming alive. The only part I didnt enjoy was when he threw it in the water, you could see it sink slowly as the lines dissolve within the water..its not like the man to do that..but it was an enjoyable reading. I loved the setting you choose, again perfect for the man that you described..watching her- admiring her from far away..The setting was perfect, I was imagining somewhere else but it was worth the read. You've got to write more here.

Aria

Yes, it does, but I never write stories as per the DMG storyline 😆
@bold - Wow. What a beautiful line 👏 Thanks Aria!
I guess he threw it in the water because he couldn't bear to look at it. He always assumed that Ridhima was available, but when he got to know that she wasn't, it sort of burst his dream bubble.
Thanks for commenting! It's nice to see you here 😃 I look forward to reading your comments in the future :)

Neetuuu... and u are back with a shot...yay.

Loved the name, suits the shot; the perfect painting of an imperfect person. The perfection that can only be achieved in a painting, fabulous title. This reminded me of a shot written by my sis; faded colours. Nothing in particular, but the general concept and the main protagonist being the artist, and his muse.

It was a nice read, I like the thought process of him trying to find the right colour to describe his perfect painting; his master piece. Though I think the realisation of grey should have been quite evident to him, in my opinion. The artist in him should have had it figured. But like Aria said, I could see the painting come alive in front of me.

What didn't sit well with me was this line:
The painting that was supposed to be my masterpiece, now seemed to have lost all it's value. It was just a mere piece of paper.

If you see it from an artist point of view; it doesn't sit well, but if you look at it from a person who was smitten, then yes it makes sense. A painting for an artist is their gold mine, their most important possession. So for him to disregard his masterpiece and throw it away in to the water slightly seems a bit off. But I know, you were aiming for something different as I read the last few lines. Her fading away from his life..my favourite line by miles is this.

She was the perfect painting. I was just too smitten by it to see the painter standing right behind.

Brilliant Neetu, the setting was perfect, though I imagined it in the countryside over a canal. Small village, small shops.

Neetu, another song inspired story.. but I love the song, and its from my favourite movie. I can see why it inspired you to write this, the inspiration is more visible with this song to me, than any of your previous ones. 😆

I have to be honest, but for some reason I kept imagining Rahul aka Mayank as the artist, and Shilpa as his muse. But there were points that I would switch back to Armaan.. weird I know. But I couldn't quite place Armaan sketching. :S

Nice early birthday present to yourself. 😛 BTW any plans for the actual day yet? School holidays chal rahi hai right now, if I am correct?

Humz🤗

Thanks so much! 😃
God, it was beautiful. It was short, sort of sad endings... but it was captivting and striking. I've been really looking forward to reading some of your stuff, down here... after being flattered by the talks about your previous works around my school... and finally, I got one fine chance to appreciate your recent works; btw, I so-recently posted my comment on your fic ... 'Dangerous Love', It's a superb work too.
Really? You've heard about my works at your school? I'm really flattered. I never expected people at this forum to know me well enough, leave alone being talked about in real life. Thankyou so much 😃 I read your comment on the other fic, unfortunately I'm not sure whether I'll be continuing that one or not. I'll try my best though :)
Coming back, in simple and short terms- I loved it. It was beautiful and all-sort of wonderful. It was well written. Though, with no names... but I had first pictures while I imagined it was with AR... they're just so beautiful together and they suit exceptionally well, with the characters.
Thankyouu! 😊
I could not find the words to express more, so it would be good-bye time for me. But, please PM me whenever you write more... It would be seriously great and I would be greatful. Smile
Take-Care.

I'm glad you could find the time to comment on one of my works. Thankyou for the lovely comment! You made my day 😃
