Maan reached home furious at Dev. As soon as he entered the Khurana mansion, he got the message that Dadima was angry at him and wanted to see him immediately.

Maan's brow furrowed. Dadima being angry was never a good sign. If people feared his temper, he respected the person he had inherited the temper from too much to make her angry and today she was.

He knew it was going to be Naintara's doing, so he took a deep breath and headed to Dadima's room.

"Dadima…….I don't know how Maan let her go…..you saw how hurt Dev is…..I can't believe the employees he hires……they lift their hand on their own employer?" Naintara was telling Dadima with tears in her eyes, sitting next to a sleeping Dev.

"Naintara…..I have met Geet…..I am a little amazed at the story you are telling" Dadima rolls her eyes. She was worried about Dev but it was a tad difficult for her to believe Naintara's story about Geet being responsible for Dev's condition.

Geet was such a sweet and delicate girl that Dadima was unable to believe Naintara's story. So she pacified her and told her that she would talk to Maan and see how the person, responsible for Dev's condition would be punished.

Maan found Dadi pacing in her room. "Dadi…..what happened?" Maan went close to her and held her by her arms to stop her pacing.

"Maan….what do you mean…..do you know about Dev? Where have you been by the way" Savitri Devi's eyes flashed with annoyance.

"I know Dadima but he will be fine…it's just a broken nose" Maan replies and Savitri looks at him in anger.

"Just a broken nose…….Maan you would go ballistic if Dev got a scratch and now you are saying just a broken nose?" she asked him incredulously.

"Is Naintara right then?" Is Geet ….is Geet responsible for his condition?" Savitri asked Maan who looked at her in surprise.

"Naintara…..I should have guessed…..what did she say Dadima…..I would love to know how she put the blame on Geet's shoulder" Maan asks softly.

He was raging mad at Dev's deed and now Naintara was trying her level best to get the pawn in her game, namely Geet, thrown out of her job too. Well this time Naintara had a fight on her hands. This time Maan Khurana was going to destroy Naintara Rathore.

He had lost once and swallowed that pill for his brother's happiness but now his brother had degraded himself by falling so low as to destroy an innocent girl's life for a mere sum of money. He would not let this happen; else Naintara would eventually be successful in taking over the Khuranas. He would make sure that Naintara realized who she had crossed swords with.

"Look Maan….I have tried never to come between you and your illogical hatred for Naintara…..but this time we are talking about Dev….he is hurt….and for what reason?" Dadi tells off Maan who finds it difficult to bite his tongue. Never had he imagined that he would have his beloved grandmother getting upset with him over Naintara.

Maan took a deep breath to control his temper. His hands were aching to go around Naintara's neck and throttle her.

"Dadima…..my hatred is not illogical and you know that…….and what reason did Naintara give you for Dev's broken nose?" Maan reverts back and Dadi shakes her head.

Naintara, the girl she had chosen for Maan, thinking her to be perfect for him, had ruined his life and the small family had fallen apart. She in her heart knew Naintara's truth but for the sake of Dev's happiness had accepted Naintara back in her fold. For a second she wondered if that was her biggest mistake as after that the relations in the Khurana household had become even more strained.

Maan had shifted himself to the outhouse, refusing to face the couple more than necessary and had thrown himself into work, making sure he had no time for anything else.

Dev had gallivanted to Canada with Naintara and had incurred debt of millions, which Maan refused to pay, which had strained their relation even more.

Dadima had tried everything, talking to Maan, talking to Dev, but nothing worked out. Maan had lost his smile and she had lost Dev to Naintara.

"Dadima…..what are you thinking?" Maan gently touched her shoulder and she came out of her thoughts, shaking her head.

"Nothing….the same things beta…..I never thought I would see this day….my two children fighting like this" she sighed and sat down on the bed. Maan sighed and sat down in a chair opposite her.

"Dadima…..please don't say that…..you know it's not like this……do you trust me to do the right thing?" he held her aged but soft loving hands between his in control and competent ones.

Dadi lifted her free hand to cup his cheek. She loved this child to death. She nodded a yes and saw relief in his eyes.

"then Dadima…..don't worry about Dev and Naintara…..everything will be fine…..I will make sure it is fine…Ok…..you relax….I don't like a frown on your face" he smiled a little and Dadima shook her head.

"Fine Maan beta…..I will do as you say…..but don't forget…..let bygones be bygones…..I want us all to be a happy family" she told her desire and pain flashed in Maan's eyes which he hid quickly.

"Ok Dadima…..now you rest….am tired too…..so am going home" he got up but Dadi tugged at his hand and he looked at her questioningly.

"Maan….this is home" she said softly.

"Dadi….you promised……please don't bring this up…..I am happy in my own space" he told her and finally Dadi understood that the only way she could get peace in this house was if she gave Maan his space and Dev and Naintara theirs.

She didn't like this arrangement but she prayed to god not to show her a day where she would have to choose between her grandsons…..till then she could take the compromise.

Maan walked broodingly out of Dadi's room and was about to run into Naintara. On seeing her, his eyes flashed and a blank expression came on his face.

"Maan…..leaving?" Naintara raises her well shaped brow. She loved the fact that it was Maan who had stepped out of the Khurana mansion to live in the outhouse. She enjoyed being the mistress of the big house and it also gave her a lot of independence to do as she pleased.

"Worried about me?" Maan asks her back and the color leaves her face.

"Why would I be worried about you? I have a husband to worry about" she retorts and watches Maan's face light up in a smirk.

"Are you sure he is your husband Naintara……not Geet's" he asks her, his hands crossed against his chest, enjoying Naintara's discomfort.

"Don't you dare" Naintara lifts her finger in front of his face, "That girl…….she is a liar…..trying to worm her way into the Khurana family…..she and her cheap tactics" Naintara's eyes blaze.

"Oh really…….she trying to do what you did?" Maan asks innocently, which angers Naintara even more.

"What kind of a brother are you? Someone hits your brother and instead of worrying about him, you are worried about that girl?" Naintara changes her tracks.

"Well what I don't understand is that if you are rubbishing her claims, why are you so worried about her?" Maan questions her back, which irritates and infuriates her.

"I am more worried about Dev….that girl and her crazy brother are out to get revenge on my Dev"Naintara shifts the blame on Geet and Brij.

"I don't agree…..why would they target Dev?" Maan continues and Naintara wrings her hands.

"Come on Maan…..don't you understand, Dev is rich……they thought they could get her married to him and be a part of his rich family" she answered.

"Why would they think that? No one just assumes that and how would they know Dev? He was in Canada with you…..wasn't he….come on Naintara….how do you expect me to believe this" Maan leads her on.

"He had to come to India for something and there he met Geet…..who mistook his niceness for love and since then have been after him" Naintara keeps on going.

"Then Dev should have never befriended her." Maan continues. One thing was clear now, naintara in her heat to get Geet crucified was coming out with the truth gradually, even if it was twisted to meet her own needs.

"He didn't they shoved her and her wealth in his face and he lost control" Naintara blurts and then slaps a hand on her mouth. What the hell had she done? She couldn't believe herself and she looked askance at Maan, whose eyes had hardened to dark brown chips of ice.

"So you agree that what Geet was saying is the truth…..what kind of a woman lets her husband marry for a second time, with herself alive….for money?" he asks her and Naintara straightens her spine.

"Maan Khurana….if you can throw your brother on the streets then to help him I can do anything" she replies.

"Naintara……for your luxuries you made him drown in debt…..if you thought I would cover that up through my hard earned money…..you were mistaken…….instead of earning the money you fell so low as to ruin an innocent's life?" Maan advances towards her in anger. He was disgusted with his brother and his wife.

"You can still solve this……give Dev his money and we will leave and then you and that girl can work side by side as much as you want" Naintara smirks.

"That money is not Dev…….now it will go to his heir……and guess what…….Geet is the one who is carrying it" he snaps and a shocked Naintara looks at him with her mouth open.

"What?" she manages to whisper.

"Yes……Geet and her child will inherit Dev's money" Maan delivers and walks away leaving Naintara shattered.
