I had no idea how i wanted to show Armaan-Riddhima's meeting, so this is the idea i got last night and wrote the part, so here it is:

PART 6

Within a short span of 15 minutes, Riddhima and Muskaan became great friends. Riddhima shared the little knowledge that she had on Bollywood with Muskaan, which made Muskaan very happy because she finally found someone who had at least some interest in Bollywood, unlike all her other friends, who never got tired of saying how Bollywood copies everything from Hollywood, and is filled with songs and clichd love stories and so on'

Riddhima was also pleased with the revelation that Muskaan was the owner of the black Infiniti G37 which had saved her from an hour of torture which would have resulted from driving behind the minivan.

In no time, Muskaan had given away her whole life history to Riddhima and finally revealed that she was sharing an apartment with two other girls in the same building as Riddhima's. When Muskaan told Riddhima her new apartment number, Riddhima was glad to tell the chirpy girl that her roommates were none other than Nikki and herself.

While Riddhima was trying to drag her suitcases inside the building, Muskaan had managed to ring the doorbell of their apartment many times, thus getting on the wrong side of Nikki even before they met. Nikki toppled over a table, a book, a coffee cup, some shopping bags, and her own shoes in her attempt to reach the door so the maniac on the other side would stop ringing the doorbell. As she managed to whip the door open, she saw a curly-haired girl smiling widely, clutching a piece of paper next to her heart and holding a bag in her other hand.

Through gritted teeth Nikki questioned her visit, "Yes?"

Muskaan didn't bother to answer Nikki but entered the apartment and after placing her bag and purse in the middle of the living room, she started her introduction. After ten minutes Nikki knew everything about Muskaan except what the heck was she doing in her apartment? Before Nikki could bombard Muskaan with questions, Riddhima yelled from the doorway, "Heyyy Nikki!"

Nikki pleasantly smiled and went to hug her long lost best friend, "Ridzy, you look cute and different from when I saw you last, but what took you so long? I was expecting you to be here an hour ago."

"Don't ask Nikki, the traffic was terrible and then I got stuck behind a minivan which was going super slow, but im here now, and thanks to Muskaan, I didn't have to drive behind the minivan for long."

Muskaan smiled as Nikki looked at her questioningly, still not knowing what the girl was doing sitting on her couch in her apartment.

Riddhima continued, "But im really glad to be here now, you, Muskaan and me sharing an apartment will be loads of fun, but im dead tired right now so im going to sleep ciao," she waved at Muskaan and Nikki and took over the room that seemed the most furnished and had a bed.

Muskaan stifled a yawn, and seeing that Nikki just stood rooted in her spot after Riddhima walked out, she said, "I'm going to go rest too, climbing the tree was a very tiring task," noticing Nikki still didn't move or show interest in her 'tree' comment she walked into the room next to Riddhima's and jumped on the bed.

Nikki still didn't move from her spot, she was replaying Riddhima's words in her mind, "you, Muskaan and me sharing an apartment."'. that obnoxious girl who rings the doorbell 20 times in one minute, and doesn't stop talking is the Muskaan sharing this apartment with us?.... but Abhi said she was a quiet introvert'. Abhi!!!

Within seconds Abhi was hitting his head on the wall with the phone a few inches from his ear and listening to Nikki giving him a little more than his typical dose of "Nikki's anger."'. Now he was definitely regretting his statement to Nikki, 'she is a very quiet girl, and her name is Muskaan.'

After going off on Abhi for finding a girl like Muskaan as her roommate she decided to hit the bed as it was getting late and she needed to start yoga from tomorrow so she can keep her calm whenever Muskaan gets on her nerves. Massaging her forehead she walked into the room that she had been cleaning since this morning and saw Riddhima sleeping away, deciding to let Riddhima sleep in the room for now, Nikki went into the other room and saw Muskaan sprawled over the bed, "great!" she muttered and headed towards the couch. She pushed her purse and the can of Coke down to the floor and tried to sleep on the couch. After a while she was engulfed in deep sleep.

The next morning wasn't as bad as Nikki had imagined it to be after the entrance of Muskaan Chaddha in her life. When she woke up she was surprised to see Riddhima making breakfast and Muskaan brewing coffee. "I like these roommates," Nikki thought, "coffee and breakfast ready before I even wake up, I like."

"Good morning!" Muskaan cheerily greeted Nikki when she saw her.

Nikki smiled while Riddhima commented, "Nikki, I would've thought you'd be awake by now, since you never used to let me sleep in on weekends during high school."

"I was just really tired last night, plus the couch is very uncomfortable you know, so ended up sleeping a little longer."

"Yeah, I just realized seeing you on the couch that we'll need another bed, and someone will have to share a room since there are only two bedrooms," Riddhima said.

Nikki nodded, "Yea, the bed should be coming in today but I don't know how we want to share the rooms?"

Seeing Muskaan getting excited and about to say something, Nikki quickly said, "Riddhima you and I can share a room," to which Riddhima agreed.

Nikki felt bad for cutting in before Muskaan said anything, but she couldn't risk having Muskaan offer to share a room with her. She decided to make up for her weird behavior of the past night by being nice to Muskaan and getting to know her before labeling her as another annoying girl.

While having breakfast Nikki and Riddhima told Muskaan about their high school days and Muskaan gave the details about her life which she had forgotten to tell them the day before. The girls got to know each other really well and were glad to have each other as roommates. Nikki realized that Muskaan was a fun girl to be around, and Muskaan was delighted to have found friends like Nikki and Riddhima.

"What are we doing today?" Riddhima asked while she washed her plate and put it on the drying rack.

"What about shopping? I haven't been to the malls in this area because my old apartment was on the other side of the city," Muskaan suggested.

"Muskaan we should go to the mall on the weekend, by that time we'll even be settled in the apartment and won't have to worry about anything. I had planned for us to fix up this apartment today, I've picked out some paint schemes, if you guys like them then we can start making this apartment ours by painting it today," Nikki looked at Muskaan and Riddhima for their reactions.

"Sounds cool, let's get started," Riddhima said excitedly, she'd always been interested in interior designing and this was her first opportunity to design and paint a place the way she wanted, of course along with Muskaan and Nikki's ideas.

Muskaan agreed and the girls got down to deciding paint schemes, special designs and specific colors. After a little bit of arguing and persuading, the girls had decided on the way they were going to paint their apartment. Nikki had already bought the primer and the girls started coating the walls with it.

"Abhi just told me that he is on the way with the rest of the paint, I've told him exactly which colors we want so he should be here in a little bit," Nikki told Riddhima and Muskaan.

Riddhima got the bathroom, Muskaan got the bedroom and Nikki got the living room. The three girls painted away'

As the bell rang Nikki got off the step ladder and went to greet Abhi. She was surprised to see him standing there along with Armaan. The two guys were holding a bucket of paint in each hand and were holding paint rollers by their teeth. It was quite a sight; Nikki laughed and told them to come in. She asked Armaan to hand over the light blue paint bucket to Ridzy in the bathroom and the lavender one to Muskaan in the bedroom. Armaan did as he was told, while Abhi picked Nikki up and placed her on the couch. Nikki giggled and told him that she had a lot of painting to do and can't just sit down. Abhi shushed her, grabbed the paint roller and started painting where Nikki had left off.

Bathroom? Where's the bathroom? Armaan walked into the first door he saw, and pushed open the door carelessly.

The door hit Ridzy's step ladder, which was already unstable and caused her to fall.

Armaan saw the door open and as soon as he stepped into the bathroom something fell on him which caused him to fall straight on his back. He felt something hard lying on top of his body and his face felt very wet and sticky.

Opening his eyes he saw a girl lying on top of him, the back of her head was on his chest and her paint roller was lying on his face. He stood up and made the girl also stand. Riddhima still had her eyes closed when Armaan cleared his throat, and said, "You know you should say sorry."

Riddima immediately opened her eyes and gasped as she saw Armaan's face covered with white primer, realizing it wasn't a ghost but a man, she retorted, "Excuse me, you entered my bathroom and made me fall, you should say sorry."

Armaan asked incredulously, "Do you see me?" he took a look himself in the mirror, "I have white paint on my face, and I should say sorry?"

Riddhima nodded and looked at him as if it was only obvious that it was his fault.

"Psh keep dreaming girl," he waved a hand in the air and walked off.

Riddhima looked angrily at Armaan walk away leaving her behind with a broken step ladder and white paint all over the bathroom floor. "I'm sooo not cleaning this mess," she muttered.

She heard him complain to Nikki in the living room, "Look at how your new roommate treats her guests Nikki," he said pointing to the paint on his face and shirt.

Hearing this Riddhima came out, "Hey you, that's right, I do treat strangers like that, and now you better start cleaning the mess you made in the bathroom."

"Uh NO, im not cleaing up the mess you made!"

"Uh, YES you are, because you made that mess!"

Riddhima was staring at Armaan and was determined to make him clean the paint off of the bathroom floor, while Armaan haughtily stared back, determined not to budge.

Nikki looked from Armaan to Riddhima in amusement and smiled.

wait - so i'm a bit confused, nikki does know all about ridhima's ex-feeling for armaan, doesn't she?

and ridhima didn't recognize him for all the paint - but he didn't recognize her either?

just not sure if i'm forgetting any details here ayesha, sorry about that!

other than those doubts, the part was fun as ever to read ... AN are such a cute couple!
