Nupur entered the class and saw Mayank sitting.She looked at the desk beside him.There was a bag on it.So she thought someone has reserved it for their friend.She started looking for another empty seat.Mayank saw her and removed the bag from that desk and gestured her to sit.Nupur walked to that seat as she understood it was Mayank who reserved the seat for her.

"Thanks!" Nupur said as she sat on the seat.

"No thanks between friends, ok?"Mayank told her.

Nupur simply smiled and nodded. Mayank noticed her smile and felt nice seeing her smiling.

"So,tell me?"Mayank asked.

"What?"Nupur didn't understand what he was talking about.

"I asked you something yesterday but you didn't answer me."he told her.

"What?"still couldn't understand.

Mayank laughed a bit at her repeating "what" again. "That you have boyfriend or not?"

"Oh,that? No, I don't have any boyfriend and never had one."Nupur replied him. "Just like you." she added with a sweet smile.

"Then who was the guy that come to meet you yesterday?"he asked to clarify his doubt.

"That was my cousin Uday."Nupur simply told him.

"Oh!I thought he is your boyfrind."Mayank told her directly making a sorry face.

Nupur looked at him.She liked his honesty that he told her what he felt.She chuckled seeing his innocent face.

"Sorry."Mayank said lowering his eyes.

Nupur shook her head and smiled. "No sorry between friends,ok?"

Mayank smiled broadly and looked at her.She was smiling.Her smile was very simple.Yet he felt something special about her smile.

"You smile a lot!I love it!"Mayank suddenly said making Nupur wonder and then blush.

Nupur looked otherside as if she was searching for someone.

"Benji and Dia haven't come yet."Mayank told her as he thought she was looking for them.

"How do...."Nupur started asking but Mayank cut her.

"I know that you were looking for them?"he finished her question.

Nupur nodded, curious to know his answer.

"You are my best friend.So I have to know what you want to say before you say it."Mayank said mischievously

"Best friend?When did we become best friend?"Nupur asked herself. "He is such a sweet guy.He is calling me his best friend in the second day of our friendship!And also understands me without saying anything!"she wondered. "Have we really become so close?"

"Now tell me something about yourself."Mayank asked her which brought her out of her thought.

"I am a very simple girl and I love watching movies.The rest you will know by yourself as we are friends now."Nupur said. "Tell me about yourself?"

"About me?Well,I am always a chilled out person.Everyone adores me and I love to be everyones favourite."Mayank said naughtily.

Nupur smiled at his answer.

"Which school you were in?"Mayank asked to know more about her.

"I was in St. Xavier school.You?"

"Hey! I was also in that school till standard 1.But later I shifted to another school."Mayank told her.He was happy to know that they both were in same school.

"Really! Which section were you in?I was in Jupiter."Nupur was surprised to know this.

"Even I was in Jupiter! And you know what I had a friend called Nupur in that class!"he said in excitement.

"What a coincident!Even I had a friend called Mayank!And he was as naughty as you."Nupur said.

"My God! That means you are the same Nupur!I can't believe this!I never thought that I will again meet you!"Mayank said.He was very happy now.But suddenly he paused and then frowned as he realized Nupur said something more. "Did you just call me naughty?"

"Uh...Well...Yeah..."Nupur was now hesitating as she thought may be Mayank didn't like it.

Mayank smiled mischiviously. "Don't worry.I am not angry with you.I know I am naughty." He raised collar of his shirt and winked at her.

Nupur wondered at him. "This guy is being happy as if I have given him the biggest compliment" she thought.Then she realized he is Mayank.The Mayank."I never thought you will still remember me!This is unbelievable!"Nupur was totally surprised.

"How can I forget you so easily.You were the sweetest girl in the class."he replied her.

A class room.40 little kids.A little girl of 7 years was attentively looking at the black board and making her note.Beside her a little boy of 7 were sitting.But he was looking at the girl sitting beside him.His head was resting on his palm as his hand was on the table with the help of elbow.When the teacher finished his writing on the board he turned towards the students and sat on his chair.The girl finally looked towards the boy and she was surprised.

"Mayank!Mayank!"she shaked his shoulder.This made his mind to come back to the class room. "You didn't write anything!Sir will punish you if he checks your note book.Give it to me.I'll copy notes in your note book from mine."

"You'll do it for me?"Mayank asked her or rather wondered with happiness as she was helping him to save him from punishment with out even asking.

She nodded.

"You are the sweetest Nupur!"he said which made her blush.

"Your friendship was very dear to me Nupur.But I thought I lost my dearest friend."Mayank told her.

"God Mayank!You haven't changed a bit!Still the same naughty."Nupur wondered.

"I know!But I missed you a lot."

Nupur smiled. "So it wasn't only me who was missing him.He too remember me and also missed me."she thought.

"This time I'll will not let you go away from me."Mayank said.

"But it was you who shifted to other school.I was at the same place and I didn't left you."Nupur told him.

"Yeah.You are right.But this time we will be together always and forever."Mayank said.He didn't want to lose her friendship once again.

Nupur slightly blushed thinking about the other meaning of what Mayank said just now.

"Hey guys!What's happening?"Benji asked as he and Dia entered the class and sat in the seat behind Mayank and Nupur.

"Mayank immediately turned back. "Hey! You know,we just realized that I and Nupur were friends in school.But later I shifted to other school and lost contact with her.And now I got her again."

"Wow!Thats a great news!"Dia said.

"Yeah.I am very happy today."Mayank said.

Nupur looked at him and smiled.
