hmm nice update..enjoyed reading it..but to be very honest didnt like the part that u hooked up nupur's mayank to gunjan..whatever it is..another mayank n all...but the fact is fact that nupur loved her mayank...thats mayank part1..not the 2nd one.

Umm . . here's the last update. This FF's very close to my heart, you know. And I'm all nostalgic at the moment. But then . .I had to wind it up. 😊

Chapter 19

It was the time for the wedding. The girls brought the bride down . . Gunjan was dressed like the perfect Indian bride. She looked really very beautiful.. Mayank couldn't take his eyes off her.
Now, the seven sacred vows were to take place. The bride and groom got up, surprisingly, instead of Uday . . Nupur was asked to to the Kandyadaan, she did as per the priest's instructions. Nupur moved back and bumped into Mayank, "Hey, sorry!" she whispered. But instead of saying anything, Mayank gave her a terrible HORRIBLE, rather . .expression for she was standing on his foot. "NUPUUR! My foot!" he said. "Oops!" 😆
Another half an hour and the rituals came to an end. Ms. Gunjan Mathur was now Mrs. Gunjan Mayank Mehra. Her parents and brother were grieved. They wished they could stop their daughter from going. And at the mean time, they were happy she had a husband like Mayank.
Nupur was deep in thought. She thought of the old times. " Life kitni badal gayi hai na! Ab sab kuch is completely CHANGED. Two of my closest friends are now married. And they'd obviously have less time for me. I'm going to get graduated and then, I'd move to London for my further studies. It's just so different. I'm gonna miss my best friend a hell lot. I'm gonna miss those days when we used to bunk our classes and hang out together. Those football practices where I used to disturb Mayank everyday and made sure he drank his milk. I'm gonna miss the late night chats we used to have. I'm gonna miss the old days man!" she thought and a tear rolled down her cheek. Before it could fall, Mayank cuaght it. Mayank 1 only. 😆 "

Mayank: Kitni baar bataya hai ye bade keemti hain. Sharam nahi aati. 😆
Nupur: Teri shaadi ho gayi hai, tujhe sharam nahi aati? 😆
Mayank: Wo nahi aata yaar mujhe! Sorry! 😆 Aur waise bhi, mujhe malum hai ab sab pehle jaisa nahi hai lekin umm . . hum toh dost hain na . . and this friendship's gonna last forever.

Mayank pulled her in for a hug. "Ye sirf in dono ko lagta hai ki sab badal gaya hai! Mujhe toh KOI farak nahi dikhta inmein." said the bride, Gunjan to Samrat. 😆

After the newly wed couple left, Nupur went to the garden and sat on the swing in there. She was confused as to what did actually took place. Has everything really changed? "Nupur . . purana waqt isliye chala gaya kyunki ab naye waqt ki baari hai. Give life another chance." Mayank, the other Mayank came and said. "Hey, you? Tum gaye nahi?" she asked. "Nahi abhi nahi . . pehle tumhe tumhare ghar chood dun!" he said. 😆 "Why are you being so nice to me?" she questioned. "Well, I'm a nice guy! You would have never regretted falling in love with me." 😆 - "What do you mean?" - "I mean I know you loved Mayank. Nupur . . it's high time you give life another try. Give love another chance. The friendship between the two of you made me all sentimental. I have never seen such pure friendship. Such pure affection. But, he loved somebody else already. Had already given that place in his heart to somebody else. Aur jo tumhara nahi hua, maan jao ke wo kabhi tumhara tha hi nahi." as soon as he finished, Nupur hugged him as tightly as ever. 😳 She cried her heart out that night. But she knew the next day, would bring happiness in her life. A new beginning.

Nupur got graduated. She came second in the whole state. Mayank and Gunjan had now come back from their honeymoon and had joined their respective offices back. Nupur was to leave for London that night. Gang went to her place.

Mayank: Waah meri sherni!! Pehli baar itne acche marks aaye hain tere! 😆
Nupur: You wish! 😡
Mayank: Waise, temme something . . jaana zaruri hai?
Nupur: I guess so.

It was Nupur's first day at college. For the first time in her life, she was nervous. She entered the campus. She was moving forth, with a couple of big fat books in one hand and and her cell in the other . . she bumped into someone and both the books and the cell fell down! "CHRIST! MY CELL PHONE" she shouted. "MY COFFEE!" the other person shouted. Just then she noticed the coffee had spilled over her books. "MY BOOKSS!" she shouted all the louder. 😆 "I'm sorry!" the guy said. She looked up only to find the guy, Mayank there. "Such a small world this is!" she thought to herself. 😊

And the rest, you must have guessed. Nupur and Mayank became great friends. They were both in the same class. Unlike, Mayank . . her best friend . . here, the guy was almost like her but their thought processes were different.
It took Nupur some time to get over the past. One fine day, Mayank proposed her. She knew not what to say..

"Mayank?" she questioned.

"What? Mere ghutne dard kar rahe hain Nupur! Quick!" he said. 😆

"Ummmm!"

"WILL YOU MARRY ME? Last time. Dil ka dar ghutne ke dard se definitely kamm hoga!" he said. 😆

"Yeah, I will." she finally said. And as soon as she did, Mayank got up and placed the ring in her finger.

"I love you..." he said and hugged her. 😳

Flashback ends....

"And here it is .. the story of my life .. I got married three years back after returning from UK. And now I have a baby girl and we named her Gunjan." Nupur Mehra, the Psychology lecturer told the class.

"Ma'am! You made me believe in love and friendship. I never believed in either one. I had a firm belief in the fact that no one is worth my trust and worth being so close to me. But your story proved me wrong." a guy stood and said.

"Yes Ma'am! I thought I was strong! But frankly, I have never seen any woman as strong as you are." a girl said.

The bell rang.

"See . . we wasted the whole period. What about the lecture?" Nupur asked. 😆

"NEXT TIME MA'AM!" the students shouted and left . . or rather ran. 😆

After that, it was time for Nupur to pick up her daughter Gunjan from the creche and return home. When she was about to open the door of her apartment, she noticed it was already open, she put the keys in her purse, held her daughter's hand and entered the house.

"MAYANK! You home?" she shouted... "Mayank!" she called for him again...

And then all of a sudden, the lights turned on and everybody screamed, "SURPRISE!"

It was Nupur's 29th birthday. All her friends were there. Samrat and his fiance Sheena. Uday and his wife Tammana. Benjy and Dia, who were now engaged and Mayank and Gunjan, with their extra naughty son, Sameer. 😊 Mayank came from the back and held Nupur tight. "HEY! Happy birthday!" he whispered in her ear and kissed it.. and believe it or not .. he did that in front of ten people including his own daughter. 😆

The kids went to bed. Everybody was on the dining table BUT the birthday girl herself and her best friend. 😆 "Dekha!! Kuch badala? Aaj bhi . .sab party karte hain aur hum kahan baithe hote hain?" Mayank questioned . . "KONE MEIN!" Nupur completed his statement . . 😆

~ Relationships change, times change . . but the friendship, the bond and the affection are everlasting ~ 😳

I loved d last bit it was SWEET!!!!! 😳 so MaJan had a son named Sameer! nd Mayank NO2 nd nupsi had a gal named gunjan!!! 😃 😃 😃
Do write more! this FF got me a good friend!!! 😊 M gonna miss it! 😭 but I wont cry or ever let u cry as "pushpa I hate tears" 😛

As much as I wanted Nupur and first wala Mayank to be together, I still loved this twist u gave!!

Very interesting!! Ek baat samaj nahi aayi..why did she name her daughter gunjan 🤣

ok, jo bhi ho 😆 I still totally loved the way u kept us guessing and meandered the story into an interesting conclusion..I wish Friendships dint change like it dint for MAyank and Nupur... but the truth of life is it does change..for better or worse, :) then again some friendships do stand the test of time! :)

Well . . this was all fictitious . . and just they way you said, I myself believe it's hard for a friendship like this to sustain.

And yeah . . actually, when I started writing this FF! I thought I'd kill Gunjan in the end or something! Make Mayank 1 marry Nupur and then name their daughter Gunjan! Lekin now that I hate such filmy stuff, I didn't do that. Lekin story ke beginning mein hi Gunjan likha tha beti ka naam toh yahan bhi ikhna pada. 🤣
