^I'm sure she meant the member has already been temporarily banned for the time being. Therefore, she's probably been banned for another reason?

There have been many examples of such members coming back with a new ID and doing the exact same thing. Yes...I do know people can adopt technology to block/mask their IPs etc. but I still feel IF should adopt a strict code for plagiarism. No pussy footing around with temporary blocks etc...the member's IP should be permanently banned.

My request is to fill her post by mods the actual reason for her banning , because ...
when writers like ..trying hard to find a comment really feel ... when the support she is getting from readers ...

oh dear ..mods ban u ..why .please add me in ur blog bla bla .
grrr

everyone believes she is banned for writing adult content which just increase her popularity ..so please make clear to the readers why she got banned ...and save them from being fooled agina nd aagain

Thanks for reporting it Nidha, have done the needful.

@Beegi - Banning someone is not the solution for plagiarism , members need to be aware of their acts and consequences, and morever, like you said, we got so many new technique to change our IPs, new IDs etc so we cant stop someone from coming back. And Angel.Jot have already clearified too what Suhana meant.

@-Magicia- The mods cant disclose openly to public why someone got banned. Yes, they may had breach the rules but its also about the confidentiality between the mods and member. No one deserve public humiliation or whatsoever unless the member herself/himself disclose it to the public on their own will.

I understand the frustration that you guys may be going through due to this circumstance, and the Dev Team members are in the process of implementing new strict rules to prevent such from happening again. We promise to come up with it at the earliest possible.

^ Taliah, I'm not sure exactly what you mean. If you quote a short passage from a different piece of work and give credit, that should be okay. However, you can't just copy an entire chapter from someone else and put it in quotes. Please let me know if I have not answered your question.

It is considered plagiarism if you copy someone else's work for your own profit without crediting the person.

If you are using limited quotes (for example a page from a novel or a quote by a philosopher) and indicating whose work it is. It should be fine.

But you cannot cite an entire novel or cite an entire piece of work. Especially a published work. That means you are gaining views for your own benefit, but with someone else's work. You are further preventing the original writer from gaining profit (especially a published writer who is trying to sell his books. It's like illegally downloading music and selling it for your own profit.

Sorry ! But i wasn't talking about taking quotes from a novel let me clear it ... I was talking about simple quotation by famous people like Shakespeare n all... and ths is not about downloading music n selling it as my own work... its just used to explain the thoughts ...

YEs u have answered my question Suhana , Thanku so much 😊
I m talking about quotes like this one which i have put on my Ff ... it has the name of the original author and i have just used to explain the context ... not in an part or something ...
"Relationships of all kinds are like sand held in your hand. Held loosely, with an open hand, the sand remains where it is. The minute you close your hand and squeeze tightly to hold on, the sand trickles through your fingers. You may hold onto some of it, but most will be spilled. A relationship is like that. Held loosely, with respect and freedom for the other person, it is likely to remain intact. But hold too tightly, too possessively, and the relationship slips away and is lost."
Kaleel Jamison

And simple quotes like

All love shifts and changes. I don't know if you can be wholeheartedly in love all the time.
Julie Andrews

Thanku
