Nupur entered the house and saw samrat and others waiting for her. She immediately ran and hugged samrat.

"Shona are u alright" asked samrat

"Haan bhai I'm alright chale dinner kar le bohot bhuk lagi hai" said nupur

"Pehle fresh ho jaa fir dinner karte hai aur waise mayank kahan hai woh andar kyun nahi aaya" said samrat

"Bhai mayank ko kuch kaam tha toh woh mujhe ghar chodke aapne office gaya hai aur haan usne yeh bhi kahan hai ki woh fir kabhi dinner pe aa jaayega" said nupur and went to her room to freshen up. After freshening up she came down for dinner. All of the took their seats and started their dinner.

"So how was you date nupur" asked uday teasingly

"Uday bhaiyya it was not a date he wanted me to meet some people so we both went out" said nupur

"Really nupur…." Asked uday in teasing tone

"Yeh uday bhaiyya it was not a date. Waise what were you and c.j doing at caf coffee day" asked nupur in teasing tone

"What uday you and C.J" said samrat

"Bhai c'mon me and CJ had went to Caf coffee day just to meet some clients" said uday

"Really bhai and what abt…" said nupur

"Shona have the dinner quickly you need to sleep as you have duty 2morrow" said uday trying to change the topic. After the dinner nupur helped gunjan and then went to sleep.

Next day nupur got up early and went to hospital as she had lot's of appointments today. Samrat and uday too left for work. Both returned home early as gunjan called them home urgently.

"Gunjan kya hua sab thik toh hai tumne hume urgently kyun bulaya" said samrat in one breathe

"Samrat beta jara saas to lo" said mm

"Aare maa aap yaha" said samrat surprised

"Haan samrat kuch important baat karni thi" said mm

"Thik hai maa main mayank aur nupur dono ko call karke yaha aane ko keh deta hoon" said samrat happily. He called both of them and asked them to come soon.

"Bhai I will be late I have 10 more appointments to be done plz I can't come right now" said nupur

"Nupur but…" said samrat

"Bhai plz it's just question of an hour I would finish with my appointments and would be at home within an hour." Said nupur

"Ok but come soon" said samrat and ended the call.

Nupur after finishing all her appointments left for home. She parked her car and was abt to enter the house when she saw mayank's car entering the gate so she waited for him to come too.

"Mayank tum yaha" asked nupur

"Actually sam ka call aaya tha kaha kuch urgent baat karni hai" said mayank

"But how come you r here so early today" asked mayank

"actually bhai ne urgent kaam hai kehke bulaya" said nupur and both entered the house while everyone was shocked to see both of them coming together.

"Maa hum ek saath nahi aaye hai nupur mujhe yahan gate pe mili" said mayank so that his mother and samrat don't start their teasing session again

"Par mayank naa maine aur na maa ne tumse ya nupur se pucha ki tum dono saath kyun ho to why are you giving explanation" said samrat in teasing tone

"Bhai agar koi problem naa ho toh aap batayenge ki aapne hume yahan itni urgently kyun bulaya" said nupur

"Woh actually Engagement ki date fix karni thi is liye tumhe yahan bulaya hai" said samrat

"Engagement ki date next week ki hai" said mm

"Engagement aur woh bhi next week" said mayank shocked

"Nahi agar tumhe nahi karni toh koi baat nahi kyun maa" said samrat teasingly

"Maine aisa kab kaha ki main engagement nahi karna chahta" said mayank while mm and samrat tried to hide their smile.

"Not again samrat" said mayank who knew what was going in his mother and friends mind.

"Nupur tum aur mayank kal jaake aapni engagement rings select kar lena and it's my order" said mm

"I will go and get some snacks and coffee for you guys" said nupur and went to get snacks for everyone. After sometime nupur came out with snacks and coffee for everyone. Everyone sat down in the garden and chatted for sometime.

"Thik hai samrat beta hum abhi chalte hai bohot si preparations bhi toh karni hai" said mm

"Thik hai maa aur agar koi kaam ho toh please call karke bata dijiye ga" said samrat.. while mayank was busy telling nupur something through his actions which nupu was not able to understand.

"Mayank chale" said mm

"Haan maa chaliye" said mayank and both left to their house

After having the dinner nupur went to her room. After sometime samrat and uday as usual entered nupur's room to say goodnight. They entered the room and saw nupur sleeping peacefully. They bid her goodnight and went to their respective rooms.

"Hush haan kaho kya keh rahe the tum mayank" asked nupur with sigh of relief.

"Nupur I can't believe tum samrat se dar rahi ho aur is liye use chupke mujhse baat kar rahi ho" said mayank laughing

"Very funny Mayank aur haan main bhai se chupake baat nahi kar rahi hoon samjhe" said nupur furiously

"Aacha toh samrat ke saamne sone ka drama kyun kar rahi thi" asked mayank controlling his laughter

"Aacha aur tum aunty se chupke mujhse baat kyun kar rahe ho" asked nupur

"Main kaha maa se chupke tumse baat kar rahan hoon" said mayank.

"Mayank chal yeh doodh pee le" said mm. The cell in mayank's hand fell down as mayank heard mm's voice on the other side nupur was laughing.

"Mayu kiska phone hai" asked mm

"Maa woh nupur ka call hai woh aapse kuch baat karna chahti hai" said mayank and gave cell to mm.

"Haan nupu beta koi jarrori baat karni thi" asked mm

"Aunty woh… woh haan main soch rahi thi kyun naa aap bhi humare saath kal ring lene chale" said nupur and had sigh of relief.

"Nahi nupur beta tum aur mayank jao aur isi bahane tum dono ek dusre ke saath time bhi spend kar sakte ho so you both go and enjoy yourself" said mm

"Ok tum log aapni baatein continue karo I would go from here" said mm and handed the cell to mayank. Both mayank and nupur chatted on phone till 2 in the morning.

Next day

Nupur was in the hospital examining the patients when mayank entered the ward and saw nupur surrounded by little kids.

"That's not fair didi, now- a days you don't even spend time with us. Har Sunday aap humare saath yahan time spend karti hai par is baar aap kisi aur ke saath time spend karne chali gayi aur aaj bhi aap humare saath shaam ko time nahi spend karegi" said a little kid

"yeh di that's not fair agar aapki engagement ho rahi hai toh it does'nt mean aap humare saath time nahi spend karenge" said the other kid

"Don't worry aaj aapki di shaam ko aapke saath hi rahegi aur aapko story bhi sunayegi, promise" said mayank and entered the ward

"Oh toh aap hai jiske saath di bahar jaane wali hai" said a kid inspecting mayank from top to bottom

"Jee haan main wohi hoon jiske saath aapki di bahar jaa rahi hai aur main aap se promise karta hoon main aapke di ko shaam ko hospital wapas laa ke chod dunga taki woh aapko story sunaye aur aapke saath time bhi spend kare sake" said mayank ruffling the kids hair.

"Agar ab aap logon ki permission ho toh kya main aapke di ko aapne saath leke jaa sakta hoon" said mayank

"Permission granted par agar aap di ko yahan wapas chod ke nayi gaye naa toh be ready for punishment samjhe aap" said one the kid with his hands on his hips

"Ok baba hum aapki di ko wapas laake jaroor chod denge, Chale nupur" said mayank looking at nupur to which nupur nodded. Both mayank and nupur sat in the car and drove off to mall. There was silence none of them spoke a word.

"so you like spending time with kids" said mayank

"Ofcourse you know what this kids can make any one happy with there single smile. When they laugh and play around it seems like every thing around you is good and even you r released from your whole dy tension if you even spend 5 to 10 mins with these kids" said nupur

"And you know what among all this kids aditya is really a sweetheart." Said nupur

"Aditya!!!" asked mayank surprised

"Aditya woh golo molu sa ladka. Wohi jiske cheeks bilkul kisi tamato ki tarah hai. Pata hai agar koi bhi uske saath agar 5min bhi baat kare ya time spend kare naa toh woh aapni saari tension bhool jaayega. Woh hai toh chota par baatein bilkul badon ki tarah karta hai" said nupur

"Aur siya who toh in sabki dadi maa hai har cheez main sirf aapni baat manvati ghoomti hai aur agar koi uski baat naa mane toh uski khair nahi" said nupur and kept on talking abt kids while mayank just kept on staring at her and was enjoying listening to her. They reached the mall.

"Chale mall agaya hai" said mayank while nupur was feeling somewhat embarrassed for talking so much.

They entered the mall and stepped on the escalator when nupur lost her balance and was about to fall but she immediately held mayank and hugged him. Mayank was first shocked but then comforted her.

"Hey are you ok" said mayank comforting her to which nupur nodded. They entered the shop and started selecting the ring. After going through various designs he finally selected a ring it was simple but beautiful.
