Next morning:
Neither Samrat nor Gunjan had slept the whole night. They were lost in thought about each other. Samrat would have slept on if it weren't for his alarm clock.
'Stupid alarm!'
he thought as he slapped it hard, shutting the ear piercing screech midway. he shoved his face in his pillow and groaned. Uggh!! College!!! He pulled the blanket over his head. He didn't even want to think about college!! He was just about to sleep once again when he heard his sister's voice calling him.
'Bhai!!! Utho!!! saath bajje hain!!!'
he let out another groan.
'Suhaani...plz. Mujhe aaj college jaane ka mood nahi hai. Tum jao.'
There was silence. He heard footsteps entering his room. Great. A lecture was all he needed. But to his utter surprise, his sister smiled down at him.
'Bhai, I know that ur going through some tough times right now...but u have to face life na? Ab jaldia se utho, hum college jaa rahe hain.'
Samrat completely lost control of himself.
'Suhaani!! Maine kaha na?!! Main aaj college nahi jaonga??!! Mujhe force karne ki koi zarurat nahi hai!!'
Suhaani was taken aback by his anger. She silently stood up and started walking out of the room. Samrat sighed in frustration.
'Suhaani...mera woh matlab nahi tha. plz naraaz mat hona?'
He begged. Wow, it was only morning and he was already messing up!! He could only imagine how the rest of his day would go.
She didn't hesitated and wturned around. Samrat held his ears and gave the sweetest face he could muster up.
'Achcha. I'm sorry baba. Aage se nahi hoga. Promise.'
Suhaani burst out laughing.
'Bhai, main tumse kabhi naraaz ho sakti hoon kya?! MAin tho mazaak kar rahi thi!'
Samrat frowned and placed his hands on his hips.
'Hmmm. Tum tho aakhir meri hi behen nickli!! Bilkul stupid! Meri tarha!!'
Suhaani sighed dramatically.
'Kya karoon? Tumhaare saath rehke, main bhi tumhaare hi tarha stupid ban gayyi!!'
Samrat rolled his eyes.
'Ab tumhaare yeh baatein band karo, warna college ke liye late ho jayenge. Ab chalein?'
Suhaani stared at him surprised.
'Tum chaloge?'
Samrat nodded.
'Meri behen ke liye kuch bhi!'
Suhaani smiled.
'Tho phir challo!! Maine breakfast bana liya hai!!'
Samrat laughed and looked at her mishcheviously.
'Ek minute. Ek adhura kaam hai jo pura karna padega.'
Suhaani didn't notice his glance.
'Kya?'
Samrat grabbed a pillow from his bed and held it above his head. Suhaani gasped in surprise.
'PILLOW FIGHT!!'
they began hitting each other with the pillows and throwing each other down. For a moment, Samrat forgot about all his worries. He wished life could be this simple. He wished he could be with his Chashmish again. She made everything seem easier. Without her, there was no Samrat.

Half an hour later, they reached college. Samrat walked down the hall absentmindedly. He was thinking about Gunjan. All those times they had spent together. He smiled and shoved back the few tears that had sprung out from his eyes. No. He would not cry again. He could not cry. Because if he did, he was afraid that he'd never be able to stop.

Suhaaani was also roaming the halls. But she was on a mission. She had to locate Nupur. She had to talk to her. About Gunjan and Samrat.. She had to tell her how much they needed each other. They couldn't live without each other. And who knew better than Suhaani. After all, she had to see her brother's agony every single day!!
'Enough is enough. Buhot ho gayya.'
She thought to herself. Suddenly, she saw Nupur walking down the hall towards Mayank. There was a stab in her heart. She had seperated Gunjan and Samrat so easily and now she herself was going to meet her one true love, Mayank!!
She raced over to her and pulled Nupur into a quiet corner.
'Mujhe tumse kuch baat karni hai...Bhai aur Gunjan ke baareme.'
Suhaani declared brusqely.
Nupur tried to leave.
'Mujhe kuch nahi sunna hai Suhaani Mujhe Mayank se milna hai.'
A fresh waqve of anger washed over Suhaani.
'Achcha. Tho tum Mayank se milne jaa rahi ho. Tum itni kuhdgarz kaise ho sakti ho Nupur? Samrat aur Gunjan ko alag karke, tum khud Mayank se milne jaa rahi ho??!!! Tumhe pata bhi hai ke tumhaari waja se bhai kitne dukh sehe raha hai?! Par tum nahi samjhogi. Yeh tumhaara DDLJ nahi hai Nupur. Yeh real life hai. Aur tum DDLJ ki heroine bhi nahi ho. Tum sirf Nupur Bhushan ho. Samjhi? Is liye heroine banne ki koshish bhi mat karna. Kyunki tum jaise ladki pyaar ko kabhi nahi samjah paogi. Aur haan, dubaara humaare ghar me phone karne ki takleef mat uthaana. Tum bilkul chinta mat karo. Tum jeet gayyi. Akhir tumne Bhai aur Gunjan ko alag hi kar diya. Congratulations.'
Suhaani glared at her and walked away with sheer anger in her eyes.
Nupur was shaken up. What had she done to Samrat? What had she done? Suhaani had been right. How could she have been so selfish? Tears ran from her eyes and down her cheek. She didn't bother to wipe them away.
From the corner, Mayank had heard the entire conversation between the two girls. He walked up to Nupur reluctantly and wiped away her tears.
'Nupur, kya hua? Suhaani kya kehe rahi thi?'
Nupur looked at him.
'Mayank...main buhot burri hoon na?'
Mayank shook his head.
'Nahi, tum aisa kyun soch-'
'Main buhot burri hoon Mayank. Suhaani bilkul sach kehe rahi thi. Main buhot burri hoon.'
Nupur could have gone on forever, repeating those very words if mayank hadn't shaken her firecely.
'Nupur!! Tum kya kehe rahi ho? Mujhe bhi bataogi ke yeh sab kya ho raha tha?'
Nupur told shim the whole story...about how she had seperated Samrat and Gunjan because of her fear for her little sister.
Mayank stayed quiet as he listened. Finally, nupur asked;
'Main kya karoon Mayank? Tum hi batao.'
Mayank thought for a moment, then smiled. He placed a hand on her shoulder.
'Haan. Tumne galti ki hai. Aur pata hai maa hamesha kya kehe ti hai?'
Nupur looked at him with hopefull eyes.
'Kya?'
Mayank looked deep into her eyes.
'Maa kehti hai, ke agar galti ki hai, tho usse sudhaarne se hi sabki bhalai hai. Aur iss case me bhi yehi sahi hai. Tumhaari galti ko sudhaaro Nupur.'
Nupur gave him a small smile.
'Shayad tum sahi kehe rahe ho. Lagta hai mujhe hi kuch karna hoga.'
Nupur's eyes were filled with a sparkle like never before. Now she would become the real heroine of DDLJ and would play matchmaker for Samrat and Gunjan. And she had the perfect plan!!
