"Uff, yeh daag" She pushed away her fringe and lifted up the stained shirt.
"Ab aapko yeh daag kabhi nahin satayenge, kyunki aapke paas hai Surf Excel"
"Surf excel?"
"Jee haan, surf excel hi yeh daag ko mitayega"
Taking the shirt, she dipped it into the water and left it to remove the stain.
"Wow! Aaj se mein toh surf excel hi use karungi" She lifted the tub of washing powder and smiled at the camera.
"That's a wrap" The director smiled and exchanged a smile with the crew.
"Wow, that was amazing" The beautiful petite girl smiled at her colleague and put her hand forward for a friendly hand shake.
"Whatever! What makes you think I'm going to shake your hand? Look, I am the world's best actress and you are just some stupid girl Paul has picked up from the streets. You are just lucky to be able to wipe my feet. Nothing else, get it?"
She stared at the actress in distress. Never in her life had she been spoken to like that but Riddhima Gupta wasn't a girl who just listened to people say anything to her face.
"You people are so stuck up. Just because you have made a name for yourself doesn't mean you can talk to people like that. It's called being rude and over confidence is NOT a good thing"
She pointed at the woman's face.
"We may not be as rich as you but I'm damn sure we can give good competition. Once in your life you were like us, doing work just to become famous like actresses such as Kate Winslet and Aishwarya Rai. But trust me love you are nowhere near her league. She is superior and my idol. I actually used to like you as an actress but I guess you just lost a fan due to your bit**iness"
She huffed and puffed and moved her fringe.
"Ugh. Indians"
"Yes we are Indians. And so are you but the difference is we live up to the name and we don't put it to shame like some people" Riddhima eyed Melissa Kapur ending on her short skirt that was way above her thighs.
"Excuse me, you have no right to talk about my dressing sense like that"
"Well Miss Kapur I think I just did"
Grabbing her bag Riddhima turned to leave when she was caught by Paul.
"C'mon Ridz, you know who she is man. She's like one of the top actresses and you just pointed fingers at her and her faith"
"Well I guess I did Paul and please I quit this company because it has given me nothing but stabbing. Look for someone else"
"Riddhima are you mad? You know you are the best at this job. C'mon yaar. Don't do this to me?"
"Paul, I'm sure you can find someone else. Iski koi zaroorat nahin" Melissa tugged at his hands.
"First time, this up-tight bit** has said something right". Turning she left the building leaving an unhappy Paul and her most prized job.
Walking down the streets of Delhi, she wept. This job had been her best job ever and she had left it. It had been 3 years she had this job and it had given her so much success but a lot of fingers had been raised.
Riddhima wiped her tears and entered her house.
"Riddhima beti, how was it?" Her father asked as he put down his newspaper and continued to drink his piping hot cup of back tea.
"It was ok Papa" She gulped and made her way into her room.
Noticing a slight change in the atmosphere, Shashank followed Riddhima into her bedroom.
"Riddhima, what's wrong?"
"Papa, I'm so sorry. Lekin maine voh job chordiya. Papa, uss billi ne mujhe kitna sunaya aaj. She just thinks she's it all. I hate her so much."
"Bas itni si baat. No problem beta. Many things happen liek this but we don't give up. If this job pained you so much then it was best to leave it. Sometimes things happen for the best and Lord will never let anything wrong happen with my daughter"
"I guess so Papa. Thanks" She smiled and hugged him.
Shashank got up to leave but he stopped and turned around.
"By the way, Raj ka phone aaya. Voh aaj sham ko London se araha hai kisi dost ke saath. Kya kaha ta usne? Haan, uski dost ki shaadi hone vaali hai, aur iski liye larki ko dekhne araha hai. So maine kaha ke voh aur uska friend yaha par teharjaya." Shashank smiled.
"That's a great idea Dad"
"I know" He grinned and left the room.
"Lagta hai, iss baar toh Raj ko uski Simran se milaana hi parega. Ha-ha" She giggled and rolled on her bed dialling a number.
"Hey Muskaan"
