I'm glad you found it funny! Rereading it all the time you kind of lose the humour so you wonder whether the stuff's actually funny or it's just silly and stupid. Glad it was the former for you! Lol I'm so happy you have no 'need for speed'. Oh I agree, Atul has some sort of addiction to making her react. That brain freeze comment completely got butchered by IF's stupid format where dot dot dots aren't allowed. I knw you can edit it out the apostrophes and turn them back in to elipsis but I have no time!! lol complaining complaining. But thanks for appreciating it! I agree, Anjali has some 'speaking before thinking' disorder which always results in her embarressment. But Atul's always two steps ahead and knows how she's going to react before she does which is why he's so cool about everything!
Glad you liked the ice cream part. I guess it was kind of immature but Anjali can be so moody that I thought she needed a bit of immaturity! Atul definitely loves to see her being herslf around him and I loved transitioning her a little bit from the girl everyone else sees and the girl she is with Atul.
That little paragraph which has a lot going on is very important to me because I didn't want to be overly lovey dovey and sensual about her being close but I also didn't want it to go unnoticed. His teasing wasn't supposed to be a romantic gesture, just a flirty comment. Nothing more (yet) and I tried to make her reaction amused but not all fluttery and cheesy. Meh, I think we would call it a love hate relationship thought I'm sure if that's entirely the case.
Oh I definitely wanted to make Atul confident. It made me cringe how childish and annoying he became in DMG…I'm trying to make him like himself but better. He's funny, but not silly. I agree, the kodak moment was not trying to be romantic…it's early days…I'm glad you picked up on that.
Anj has a very multi dimensional personality and I think the ending showed that a little bit!
Oh I'm relieved you found her guesses funny. Once you've read them 5 times they definitely don't stay funny. Lol so then you have to use your judgment and figure out whther other people will atleast find them funny! Oh the dialogues come out of my twisted brain....I guess they're things that I'd probably guess if I was there. Yes…I'm eccentric lol.
Oh the chin on the shoulder was my attempt at their cute intimacy without mushiness. Hey don't get me wrong…I'm a hopeless romantic but over the top cheese turns e right off!
Thanks for the confidence boost…I still think it needs work but I guess I needed a great set of comments to kickstart my writing with motivation. That's what you gave me so hopefully next chapter will be a decent one!
