Part 10

With Dia's entry, Uday's thoughts took an exit. Dia entered and gasped on seeing what Uday had seen. "Now how has Mayank charmed my cousin? That is still understandable as he is cute, but why is Samrat staring at Gunjan? I mean, she is not attractive !!!", Dia thought, finding herself in deep distress.

She sat next to Samrat and started talking. This way, Gunjan and Mayank stopped their discussion and Samrat and Nupur could take their eyes off them. They thought to themselves why they were behaving so strange, but left that as a homework, for now, they did not want to lose any moment with the other.

They chatted for another hour and Samrat and Mayank left. Mayank was going to walk when Samrat offered him a ride. He sat on the backseat and he remembered Gunjan. Then suddenly he made a speedbreak and Mayank was forced to move towards him and his face collided with Samrat's shirt. Samrat said flirtatiously, "Now you have started 'falling for' my shirt?". Mayank angrily replied,"I am not dostana types ok? Find someone else for yourself". Samrat turned around and nearly fell off the bike,"MAYANK!!! I thought you were chashmish! Um....... even i am not dostana ok? Don't let such thoughts pass through your mind". Mayank looked at him, analysed him from top to bottom and let out a dissatisfied,"Uhhhhh......mmmm". Samrat was quick in reply," What, seriously i am not. I like girls !!! Then how can i be 'that sort of guy'.

Mayank had seen Samrat staring at Gunjan. He grabbed hold of the opportunity,"Oh really? You never pay heed to any girl so you better not say that. Name one girl whom you like 'that way' ". Samrat wasted no time in reply, "Chashmish, who else"."Wait dude! What did you just say? Gunjan is your friend, then why did you add her in the 'that way' list? Mahn, i need to get my head checked. I am behaving really weird since last night, what happened tome. Ok agreed that Gunjan is beautful, attractive, charming, such a darling, innocent, shy, well-mannered ...................................................... Wait! what? What happened? Why are you thinking of her now? Mahn you are in some serious confusion dude!!!".

While Samrat was thinking all this, Mayank said, "Why? Trying to run away from your feelings? Don't worry i won't tell her"."Tell her ? Tell her what ? That i 'like' her? Mayank you know i don't like her that way. What's up with you now?", Samrat sent a wave of questions flying to Mayank and the doors of his mind were closed for those questions and they flew back to Samrat who answered them one by one.

"I like her, yes i do, but like anyone else. Though a bit more than Dia, Nupur, Meghna, Smriti....................... ok fine now my mind is drifting back to the same thing. STOP!! STOP!! STOP!!", Samrat waited for the thoughts to shoo away.

Ok guys so here is a little sneak-peak for the next few parts, as you might have guessed with this part.......... SAMRAT'S REALIZATION !!!

Hi guys! Good news, my exams are over !!! So here is another good news for you which will probably make you happier.

In all the parts i update today and tomorrow, will feature Samrat's realization which will end by tomorrow and Mayank's will take another week, as it has just begun!

Part 11

He dropped Mayank home and left for his parents hotel. On the way, he kept thinking of Gunjan and why he liked her so much. It was like a battle between his heart and brain. The brain kept denying the 'i love her' accusation but the heart kept admiring her. But this time, he won't let the heart win! Afterall, he couldnt' let himself lose a friend like Gunjan!!!

On reaching the hotel, he reached the reception desk, where a lady was standing, facing his back towards him. He asked for the room number of Mr and Mrs Shergill. The lady turned to reveal her innocent face, charming smile, bright spirits, and admirable hair, which flew in front of her face in strands. Samrat saw that it was Gunjan. He swept his hands through her face to let those strands of hair across her face. The lady angrily told him the room number and that is whenn he blinked to find a plumpy receptionalist with a red face!!!

He was astonished, shocked and embarassed for a while. He quickly returned to his senses and rushed to his parents' room before he furiated the receptionalist any more. He was finding it tough to locate the elevator For help, he asked a lady in a purple tank top and matching tight skirt. The lady turned around and told him the directions to the elevator, while Samrat was left staring into her deep black eyes. Again, it was Gunjan. The lady waved her hands in front of his eyes and her faced changed to that of another lady, this time, with blonde hair and blue eyes. The lady was perfect, but a bit old for Samrat, maybe 20 yrs older than him!

He ran away towards the directed ways to the elevator, to avoid further embarassment. In the elevator, he asked the lift operator to take him to the 7th floor. The lift operator looked at him to reveal Gunjan again! Samrat was pretty sure it was Gunjan this time. Unable to control his feelings for her, he rushed forward to cup her face in his hands. But again, it was someone else, but this time, the lady did not get angry, but winked at Samrat. She pressed a note into his pocket which had her phone number in it and he nearly fainted out of disbelief !!!!

Wasting no time, he rushed to his parents' room and there, the one to open the door was Gunjan! He knew he had to be wrong again, but he won't fool himself, it would be mother. He hugged her tightly and kissed her on the cheek. Again, he kept hugging her and little did he realise that it was the REAL Gunjan whom he was hugging and kissing. She was there to help his parents with the food department. His parents were busy enjoying her food in the room while Gunjan was in the entrance. They had no idea what their son was doing. Gunjan knew it had to be some confusion but did not feel like stopping Samrat. She thought to herself why she was liking his hugs and kisses. He hugged her tighter and again gave her a slight peck on the cheek. It was then that he realised that her face was still that of Gunjan's. He did not feel like leaving the "mother-son" hug, and so he continued hugging her. While doing so, he asked , "Ma........". And that was when his mother exclaimed,"Oh! Samrat! Come in my son!".

Samrat was shocked to hear those words from somewhere else. He broke Gunjan free of his arms and ran in to find his parents enjoying their lunch !!!

He looked at Gunjan who was blushing at the corner.

Meanwhile, Mayank was at his home thinking about Nupur. How that day she fell in his arms and he named her as the cutes in excel college. How he danced with her in the rain and nursed her wounds. Why did he like her? Was it plain friendliness or something more than that? What was it?
