"Conference Delhi mein hai. Kal subha che baje ki flight book ho gayee hai so be on time. Delhi airport par Dr. Walia aap ko collect karenge. He's a senior doctor and a very good friend of Dr. Shashank. He'll take good care of you during your 2 week stay. Is that okay Dr. Muskaan?"

"Yes Maam" Muskaan replied reluctantly. A conference was the last thing she needed right now. She felt lost, confused and a bit lonely if she was honest.

Sure after Rahul left Anjali filled her days with sarcastic jokes and witty remarks in regards to everyone and everything…especially Atul. Riddhima offered her a shoulder to cry on, not that Muskaan ever did. There was something shameful about shedding tears over and over again about Rahul leaving her….yet again. FinallyArmaan tried to cheer her up with some playful flirting..

"Rahul ke saath kyun chipki hui ho soni…mere saath chal na...." He'd smile and wink in an attempt to make her smile….and she normally did. But only for a while.

So that night she stormed in to her bedroom. Dragging her suitcase out from under her luxorious King size bed. She picked it up and slammed it on to her thick duvet and rushed to her wardrobe to grab huge piles of hung clothing and dumped them into her suitcase.

She couldn't care less what they looked like or even what they were….she carried on her frenzied race t- *RING RING RING*

She stopped.

She knew who it was because her standard ringtone seemed to ring that extra bit louder and that extra bit sweeter everytime it was him who was calling her. Even her phone loved him. She smiled at herself for being so silly and rushed around to look for her phone.

She lifted her suitcase to find it wedged in between the duvet and the suitcase.

*RAHUL CALLING*

"Hello?!" She chirped excitedly.

Rahul rested his head against his headboard and closed his eyes. He had a throbbing headache and his mind couldn't relax but the sound of her voice was better than any painkiller out there.

"Kya huwa Heer. Ranjha ki bahut yaad aa rahi hai kya?" His smile evident in his voice.

"Nahi toh…kyun?" She said nonchalantly…but deep down she loved hearing him tease her, because he was always right.

"Jhooti"

"Mein kyun jhoot bolne lagi?"

"Teekh hai…main bad mein phone karta hoon" He tried to reply seriously…knowing Muskaan is slightly gullible.

"Nahi nahi!!" Muskaan nearly shouted…this was her favourite part of the day, he was NOT going to take that from her.

Rahul chuckled "Relax baby…mein kahi nahi jaa raha…kya kar rahi ho?"

Muskaan breathed a sigh of relief…if she had more nergy in her she would've retaliated at his little prank but she was just so glad to hear from him.

"Mein packing kar rahi hoon, Kal mera Delhi mein conference hai"

Rahul was glad to hear that she was allocated the conference. He knew things weren't easy for her over there and a bit of change would do her some good.

"That sounds exciting"

Muskaan rolled her eyes, "Kya khaak exciting??...Do week koi karoos buddhe ke saath boring medical conferences attend karma tumhe 'exciting' lagta hai??"

Rahul smirked…normally she loved her medical conferences. Once she'd come back from a medical conference in Kerala and she couldn't stop talking about it for three days, he knew his absence was taking a bad toll on her.

"Konsa karoos buddha?...aur do week?!" Normally medical conferences lasted a week max.

"Koi Senior Doctor Mr Walia…Dr Shashank ke kareebi dost hai.." she mumbled while she figured out whether she should take her fancy dresses or not…

Rahul shrugged and listened to her huff and puff while she packed her suitcase. He loved her when she was angry…she was definitely a time bomb…but a very sexy time bomb.

"Oi teri!...Dekho na..apni problems mein oolji hui thi mein uncle ke bare mein poochna hi bhool gayi. Kaise hai ab?" She asked apprehensively.

Rahul paused. In all honesty he forgot about him for a while too, Muskaan made him lose himself so much that he was pretty sure he'd forget his own name if he spent long enough with her.

"He's still critical but getting slightly better. Par ab bhi mujhe yahan rukna parega, business zara downhill ja raha hai" He said, making his tension clear to her.

"Rahul kuch nahi hoga, mein yahan hoon na. Mein babaji ko prartna karoongi! Tum kuch kaa rahe ho ke nahi?" She question worriedly.

"Nahi…tum aa kar khilaon na." He said flirtatiously, giving Muskaan butterflies.

"Rahul!"

Rahul chuckled again " Haan mein achi tara se kaa raha hoon…mummy yahan hai na." Muskaan sighed in relief.

"Aur tum achi tara se so rahe ho na?" Knowing that he always had problems sleeping since he was little and stress didn't help matters.

"Tum jitni sauti ho ootna hi mein sauta hoon" He replied, knowing that she was as restless as he was.

Muskaan winced at his words. She hadn't been getting much sleep. She was used to sleepless night after spending time with Rahul but there was sweetness in that insomnia.

Now her nights were filled with dread knowing that her Rahul was thousands of miles away. She'd use her phone to calculate the time difference and spend her night wondering what Rahul was doing now…if he was okay….if he needed her.

She longed for her sweet insomnia again.

"Muskaan mujhe jaana hoga. Maa neeche akeli beti hai, she needs me right now. Kal subhe hum Papa ko phir se milne jayenge" He said with regret. He hated leaving her but what could he do?

"Okay…bye" She tried to hide the pain by saying very little but he saw right through her.

"Have a safe journey. I love you"

"I love you too"

And he was gone.

She paused and let his voice ring through her system. Then she carried on packing. All that was left was her toothbr- *BEEP BEEP BEEP*

She reached for her phone.

*TEXT MESSAGE FROM RAHUL*

I can't stop thinking about you.

She blushed, because she knew that feeling all too well. She wanted to reply but she wouldn't because he was with his Mum right now and she needed him. All of him. So she wasn't going to distract him and take that away from her.

An hour later she was packed, showered and ready for bed. For the first time in days she was actually sleepy. Turning off all the lights and pulling back the covers of her duvet, she cradled her phone to her chest and snuggled in to her warm duvet. Knowing that Rahul was only a phone call away comforted her and the feeling of being wrapped up warm reminded her of Rahul's tight embraces.

Her eyes fluttered close.

-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X At Delhi Airport –X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X

Muskaan fought and fumbled with her luggage as she walked out of arrivals annoyed and exhausted. Her flight was delayed by an hour, the food taste like dog vomit and she spent 5 hours sitting next to an obese old man who had never heard of deodorant.

On top of that the wheels of her suitcase happened to fall off and roll away leaving her to carry her 32kg suitcase. She was strong…but no where near THAT strong.

As she dragged, pulled and pushed her demon suitcase out of arrivals she heard a deep unfamiliar voice behind her.

"Can I help you with that?"

She turned around to find herself eye to eye with an unknown face. She guessed him to be about 6 ft tall and around his early 20s and even under his open collar shirt and blazer suit his physique was commendable. He had definitely been spending a lot of time at the gym. He grinned at her as he watched her struggle and she watched as his dimples formed and his large brown eyes twinkle. He ran his hands through his dark brown hair obviously impressed at what he saw but trying to be as inconspicuous as possible.

He raised his hands to shake hers and leaned forward,

"Hi, I'm Dr Amar Walia…you must be Dr Muskaan?"

DON'T SHOOT ME!! lol....Just to let you know Dr Amar is not a bad guy! Its up to the next writer to carry on. Will he like her? Will they be friends? Whats going to happen?
