Armaan and Riddhima had been college sweethearts throughout their years at the unviersity. A year later after they graduated and started settling down in their careers, Armaan proposed to her with the blessings of both families. Buisness tycoon Shashank Gupta and his wife Padma Shasank Gupta, had two daughters, their elder, Anjali, a very successful and a very fun businees woman, she is helping her father out and in a few years when he retires, she will be taking over and Riddhima. Riddhima was a few years younger than Anjali, and was adored by her elder sister. Anjali was blamed alot for spoiling Riddhima more than her parents did. Anjali was right now in the middle of planning her wedding with her 3 year beau, Atul. Atul was the Vice President of the company, a very young and accomplished man. Shashank and Padma have both spoiled their daughters completly with their luxurious lifestyle but modestly was always within them.
Armaan's family was a little smaller. Armaan was the only child of a business man, Billy, who was Shanksank old friend and business partner, and due to that, Armaan and Riddhima met often in school and became close friends, and then started seeing each other often. Armaan's mom, Annia, was a home decortator and had taken the proper time to completly decorate their home. Along with Armaan, his cousin lived in with them, Rahul Grewal. Rahul was Armaan's cousin from his moms side and lived in Mumbai and in Armaan's second year, he earned a scholarship to study in the same college as Armaan. No one could tell that they were cousins, they were the best of friends and was part if the family. Billy would often say, he was always proud of two sons. As Armaan and Riddhima had gotten engaged, they both knew that it would be a long time till their marriage and both families were happy with that. Both were doctors in Sanjeevani. Armaan, a childerns doctor as Riddhima was a studying to become a cancer speacialist. Through their busy lives they always found time to be together and recently they started living together, and it was decided that their wedding plans would start a while after Anjali and Atuls wedding but will in this time, Armaan be able to prove his love for Riddhima is true?
Riddhima sat on her bed back in her parents house. They were out of town due to a conference her father had to attened in Kolkata. She looked out and saw the rain pouring down hard as she held onto the little brown bear Armaan gifted her on their 1st anniversary og being together back in college. She didnt know what to think, she didnt know where that love has gone. They had been living together for the past five months and in the last few weeks, its has if Armaan has completley forgotten about her, he was busy, she knew that, she was too, but before they always found time to be together. These days was filled with lone meals and her being alone in the home at night. For some reason she felt as if Armaan had been the one creating differences on her and the love he had for her was vanishing away. She glanced at her engagement ring. The memory was still fresh to her as if it all happened that night.
Armaan asked her to dress her best and he would pick her up at eight sharp. Earlier while she was busy at the hospital, Armaan took some time out and went to her parents house, to ask for their daughters hand in marriage. Shashank and Padma were so pleased and touched that he was asking them first, seeking their permission first.
"Please dont tell Riddhima anything, I would like it to be a surprise." Armaan askedhis future in-laws..."Of course, dont worry Armaan, we wont tell her anything." Shashank reassuring him... Armaan picked her up at eight, and they left for a nice evening out, taking her to her favorite restaurant. For aemaan it was a very very special night as he kept on glancing at Riddhima through the dinner. Her beauty was breathtaking, her laugh was innocent and her eyes were stunning. Time after time he would keep in patting his coat pocket where the ring was kept, making sure that it was still their. He knew her and he knew her taste, she loved to wear delicate and simple things. He was laughing inside, and at that moment he wanted to tell her everything, but he kept quiet, not wanting to ruin the surprise.
"Armaan where are you taking me?" Riddhima asked after dinner..."Riddhima, do you trust me?" Armaan asked opening the pasenger's seat door and holding his hand out for her. Riddhima nodded, placing her hand in his as he motioned her to sit in the car. He went around and sat down in the drivers seat and started the car. Driving to a beach a few mintues later, Armaan glanced at Riddhima's perplexed face as she glanced around the empty beach. "Armaan..." Riddhima started as Armaan parked the car. "Shh..." Armaan said looking deep into her eyes and then pointing out by the dock...a man dressed as a captain in white, waiting for them.
"Armaan, what is all this?" she asked as she looked back at him. "Come." Armaan got out and opened her car door and walked her to the yacht that was waiting for them and nodded at the captain as they boarded the boat. The yacht was going around the bay so swiftly it seemed as if you were waitless, a flying sense. the breeze was wonderful and it mixed evenly with the seafoam smell of the ocean. As Riddhima walked on the deck she was amazed at what she saw. The place was decorated completely in red and white roses, light pink rose petals sprinkled lightly spread over the ground. A stereo was on the other side, playing light instrumental music. There was a small glass table out by the side, a bottle of whote wine was chilling on the table next to two glasses and a small blue satin box sitting by them.
"Armaan! What did you do?" Riddhima said spinning around slowly examing the place. He walked up to her and gently wishpered in her ears,"Do you like it?" Riddhima nodded no, and whispered back, "I love it!" Armaan smiled back and walked towards the stereo and turned the music louder and held his hand out for a dance, Riddhima agreeded and they started swaying to the music. "I love you Riddhima." Armaan said as he looked into her eyes. "I love you too Armaan."
"Riddhima I promise you, i promise to love you, always. I promise to bring you every happiness in this world, always. I promise to give anything you wish for, anythign you desire, always. Each and every single day of my life." Armaan said slowly. "Armaan.." Armaan stopped and led her to the table. "Riddhima you mean the world to me, and after we meet, after we got to know each other, to understand each other, I fell in love with you." Armaan said as he picked up the box. "Armaan, I love you too." Riddhima said as a tear escaped her eye. Armaan went down on one knee and opened the box, revealing a beautiful dimond ring."Then Riddhima, Will you marry me?"
"Yes Armaan, I will" Armaan placed the ring on her finger and hugged her tightly. "I love you so so so much!" "I love you too Armaan." As they broke away from the hug Armaan wiped away her tears, himself, sniffling a bit, and kissed her hands. Then talking her back in the middle of the deck, he placed his hand on her waist and they gently continued to waltz in to the night.....
