Naina got up in the morning and found him still sleeping. A smile graced her face as she saw him sleeping peacefully, but soon she was reminded of those events and tears trickled down her eyes. She wiped them quickly as she needs something to be done. Today she will end this once and for all, she thought....as she cant see her Raj in pain. She stroked his hair affectionately and softly kissed his forehead. She quickly moved away as he stirred a bit. With a last longing glance at him, she left the infirmary, asking Huda to look after him.
She waited for Rahul at KMA gate'Raj was still sleeping as already he was exhausted due to his mission all these months and then yesterday's events...along with it the painkillers and tranquilizer Dr.Shalini gave him'
It was already over 20 min that she waited for Rahul'.
"Ab toh hadh ho gayi hai!!!!", she cried, " Jab main inse dur rehna chahti thi, tab hamesha mere aas paas rehte the aur aaj main milna chahti hoon, toh yeh mahatma darshan nahi de rahe hai! "
She wanted to solve the matter as early as possible, before Raj wake up.
Suddenly she saw a large boquet of carnation in front of her....it had a card with ' I love you' written on it'..
Rahul was hidden behind that boquet.
His face was glowing with happiness, he was very glad to be with her''..finally he had more time to spend with her.
There was a sparkle in his eyes.
Before Naina could say anything, Without wasting further time, he came forward and hugged her with full force but she didn't reciprocate'..
"I missed you Naina. " and he parted.
" Listen Rahul...."
"And I know, you missed me too", he added.
she could not say anything..
" Rahul...."
" Kya Rahul ??? Pehle bolo you missed me too.", then looking at her angry self, " Theek hai, Theek hai baad mein bol dena miss kar rahi thi. I will go and check on Huda and Aalekh. Mere PJ's ka intezar kar rahe honge ! "
" Offo ! Rahul I need to tell you something very important ! Listen to me !!"
" Ya...I know what you want to tell me!"
" What???" , she was shocked.
" Yeah....that you didnt missed me cause you didnt forget me even for a second ! ", he teased.
" Rahul Please !!!", she was frustrated.
That made him laugh.
All this while Raj was looking at them standing at the window of his room.
Huda's words were ringing in his ears....
When he got up, the first thing he asked for was Naina.
Half an hour earlier....
Raj stirred in sleep as he felt the absence of source of comfort...
He opened his eyes and indeed Naina was not near him. He thought, she might be around somewhere, may be talking to Shalini.
He was brought out of his thought with a cheerful good morning...
" Good Morning Sirjee !", Huda said while entering the room.
" Morning Huda !"
" Kya Sir, aapne toh kal hamein dara hi diya tha !"
" Aur nahi toh kya?", Shalini who has just entered infirmary supported Huda.
She did the check up, " Thank God ! you are fine now !"
" So...uh....can I leave from here?", he asked.
Shalini tried not to laugh. She very well knew how much he hated the hospitals.
" Yeah Sure. main toh abhi issi waqt aapko discharge kar rahi hoon. Just wait for a sec and I'll get you some medicines. Then you might go."
" Thanks !", he said relieved.
As she went to get medicines, Raj asked Huda,
" Ah...Huda...woh...uhh....Naina kaha hai?"
He smirked, " Naina ???"
" Haan...woh...yahi thi na? Toh...I mean...now that she's not here....I mean...where is she?"
Huda who had his back towards Raj as he was pouring water in a glass for Raj spoke unmindfully, " Arey Phoolan abhi aati hi hogi. Woh Rahul aa raha hai na aaj? Toh usse gate par hi receive karke..."
He stopped, because as soon as he turned, he found himself standing alone in the infirmary...Raj was gone.....
PRESENT :
He tried a lot but couldn't control tears falling from his eyes.....
His heart pleaded for Naina.....
Like he was asking her,

She looked towards window of Rajveer's room and saw him standing there .
"Raj, hosh mein aagaye! I will go to him.", she turned to leave.
" Arey Naina, kya hua ?? kaha ja rahi ho?", Rahul asked.
" I'll talk to you later...", she said without glancing at him and she rushed towards Raj's room leaving Rahul behind stunned at her action.
She reached his room in record speed and as she was about to knock the door,
"Darwaja, khula hai...."
To her surprise, Raj sounded absolutely normal ,unlike his behaviour yesterday.
She entered hoping that everything would be normal''and it was'.
"Raj, Woh... main" she hesitated, " Ab aap kaise ho?"
He smirked.
She wanted to tell him the circumstances she was in while getting engaged to Rahul , She wanted to tell him that she loved him and him only and she was only his. But before she could continue....
" Naina, actually I am sorry about what happened yesterday . I shouldn't have behaved in such way. I should have known ki meri kismat mein tum nahi ho", he forced a smile, " Tumhara pyaar nahi hai. "
Naina looked at him shocked, " Aap yeh kya keh rahe ho Raj??"
"Main bhi kitna bevakoof hoon?" , he laughed sadly, " Samajh hi nahi paya, ki mere zindagi mein pyaar aur khushiyon ki koi jagah hi nahi hai''.."
He was setting all the things in the place and was trying to be as normal as possible'.
While Naina started shedding tears'..unable to guess why he was saying that'.
"Naam kya hai uska??? Haan''Rahul !! Quite handsome , maan na padega tumhari choice ko ! "
" Raj, will you just shut up and please listen to me???" , she yelled, her voice breaking.
" Woh tumhe saari khushiyaan dega Naina. Jo main tumhe nahi de paaya'''..family, relatives, tumhe sab milega Naina. Jo khushi tumhe Rahul de, shayad koi aur nahi de sakta. " ,he spoke , though that thought stabbed him million times in his heart.
She was terribly hurt by his way of talking.
Was it so simple for him to shun her away like that ?
Doesnt he love her anymore??
She wanted to yell at him, shake him by his collar till he understands....but she was reminded that she needs to be patient, if she wants to solve this. It was a sensitive issue and needs to be solved with love and care.
"But main aapse pyaar karti hoon Raj...", she said coming towards him, " I love you."
"Pyaar'. Pyaar phirse ho jayega Naina."
Naina looked at him shocked and shattered....that was it.....
" Love happens only once, Raj ." , she said , " Parr....shayad aap iss baat ko nahi samjhoge. "
Raj looked up as her voice sounded emotionless. She was standing there with expressionless face....a sudden void appearing in her eyes.
" Ya shayad main hi samajh nahi paayi !", she smirked, " Mujhe yeh baat hamesha yaad rakhni chahiye thi, ki main jis kisise pyaar karti hoon, woh mujhse durr hojata hai....Pehle Naveen bhaiya aur ab....", she looked at him.
Raj looked down.
" Kaisi paagal hoon na main? Bhool gayi thi....I can't escape my fate....My destiny, who has no happiness written in it."
And with that Naina ran away to her room'.
And he leaned towards the wall '..

"God is so unfair to me. Mere zindagi mein na dost ka pyaar tha, na Naina ka hai'..kyun hota hai mere saath aisa ??? Kyun chodna pada mujhe Naina ko? kyun Naveen? kyun ???"
Raj thought that Naina had agreed to the engagement, and now that when he returned, he was nothing but a hindrance in her new relation. He didnt want to impose himself on Naina. So he decided to get out of the way of Naina and her fiancee. ( Kiskisko PURANA Raj waapis chahiye tha?? 😛 😉 😆 😆 😆)
He looked at the sky and shouted, " Maine aisi kya galti ki hai, ki mujhe aisi saza mili??? "

When Naina entered her room she found Huda and Aalekh standing there.
Huda with his head down and Aalekh fuming over him.
As soon as Huda saw Naina,
"Mujhe maaf karde phoolan. Subah sir ne poocha ki tu kaha hai toh mere muh se nikal gaya ki tu Rahul ko receive karne gayi hai...aur..."
"Abe saale parr tereko apna Saand jaisa muh kholne ko bola kisne? Apun apni style se samjha raha tha na sir ko..." , but naina wasnt responding to any of these.
"Kya yaar qaidi bola naa sorry.....Chal abhi chal...sirjee ko sab kuch sach sach batate hai..."
"KOI FAAYDA NAHI..", Naina spoke dryly , " Woh kuch sun na hi nahi chahte..." and she started crying silently.
" Naina???" , Aalekh asked her.
" Nahi sun na hai na unhe kuch? Theek hai.... Jaisa woh chahte hai, waisa hi hoga. I won't come in his way. Now that Rahul is here, I'll tell him everything now only and then..."
" And then???", Aalekh's eyes narrowed.
Naina smiled.
Aalekh didnt feel it good.....
Her smile was conveying something else.
" Naina tu kya karne ka soch rahi hai??", Aalekh asked concerned, " Bata..."
" Kuch bhi toh nahi.... Aur ab karneko bacha bhi kya hai? Raj has got all the proofs of Naveen bhaiya's innocence....He'll be proven innocent soon. Raj is safe too.... Zindagi ke saare maksad khatam ho gaye...."
Aalekh shivered at her reply.
" Naina???"
" Uhh...ahh...Main dekh kar aati hoon Rahul kaha hai...mujhe yeh sab jald se jald khatam karna hai." , and she hurried out.
Aalekh was worried as he got the meaning underlying in her words. He looked at Huda , who seemed to understand too and was looking shocked.
Huda and Aalekh knew that now they have to do something.
This time they won't let anything come between Naina and her happiness....

Rahul came to know from Huda and Aalekh that Naina's mentor had came back escaping from death'''and he wanted to meet him eagerly'..
Aalekh and huda kept mum about Naina and Rajveer's relationship and didnt tell him directly but kept dropping him hints about how much Naina and Raj meant to each other so that he'll himself understand and won't make matters worse when Naina will break this news to him '..
They took Rahul to meet Rajveer but they came to know that Rajveer had left for some work related to Naveen's case.
By the evening everybody got the news that all culprits behind Naveen's death were arrested including lalaji'..
And Naina's happiness knew no bounds'she was way too happy that his brother got justice at last''..and it was because of Rajveer''.
On whom she was very much annoyed as he was not listening to her and was the cause of her pain now!
But one thing she was determined of was, Now only death would keep her away from him....either she lives with him or.....
Raj returned back and received a huge welcome for getting success in his work'.
Naina came and hugged him but he didn't reciprocate''
Rahul didn't miss the annoyance on her face.
Then she again tried to break the ice and thanked Raj and he just nodded'..
True , that she was angry with his behaviour but she couldn't help doing it'
That night Rahul asked for a walk'.and she yet again tried to tell him but she failed'..
He was so engrossed in telling him about his academy and family that he didnt let her speak.
She wanted to just shut him up and tell everything outright, but there was something that was stopping her from doing that . She scared of his reaction...what if he would do the same thing that Raj did''.
Naina considered Rahul as a good friend. He was the one who made her smile in adversities '..
' Why my life is always so complicated ??? Everytime I wish to walk one step ahead and life pushes me four steps back?" , she sighed.
Her thoughts were broken by him'.
"So Capt. Rajveer was your mentor'.I am very eager to meet him..can I??"
she nodded and took him to his room'..
When they reached his room , they saw him packing'.
"Kahi jaane ki tayaari ho rahi hai???"
Rajveer looked up at him and then Naina'.
"Main apna introduction khud hi de deta hoon''..I am Capt. Rahul Kapoor" , he held his hand for a shake.
"Capt.Rajveer Singh Shekhawat'..Nice to meet you." he replied.
"Toh aap kahi jaa rahe hai????" He asked him again.
"Haan'.Jaa raha hu yahase'.yahaki yaadein bhulake." , he looked at naina and Rahul noticed it.
" Actually, I'll very soon be moving to a new base."
" Kab ja rahe ho aap?"
" Not sure....but very soon."
Raj was about to leave next day. But he didnt want anyone to know....especially Naina.
Unable to see him going all over again she rushed to her room ,sobbing .
"Isse kya hua?" Rahul asked Raj'
"Ab fiance toh woh aapki hai''..you should know better." he told him grinning, hiding his grief.
"Haan, bahut mushqil hai isko jhelna'..bahut tang kiya hoga apko mentorship programmes par''"
"Haan thoda bahut." he smiled back'
"Chalo main nikalta hu''.Nice meeting you and all the best for the future."
He was about to go when he noticed a photo and he managed to get it from there .(afterall he is a captain too !😉 )
Next day Rahul went to shalini'
"Shalini , I want to know something about this.", he showed the photo.
She hesitated for a moment and said "Andar aaiye, captain"
