[Nisha is having her birthday party at a club. Everyone of her friends (including Rani & Rahul) are invited.
[Rani is getting ready for the party.]
Rani - This should be fun!
Maya - You never go out of your room. I'm surprised you're even coming to the pary!
Rani - Oh please. Btw I texted Jay and he said he'll pick us up.
Maya - Ok that's cool. There was no way I was going to take a bus to that place.
Rani - I know. And especially not in the night!
[Rani recevies a text message]
Rani - Maya let's go. Jay is here.
Maya - Ok I'm ready.
[Both girls head downstairs. Jay waves and they walk towards his car]
Jay - Hey guys.
Rani & Maya - Hi Jay.
Jay - Sorry I was running a ittle late.
Rani - Its ok. We're just thankful you came.
Jay - Lol.
[They soon arrive at the club, and there is a line to get in. They stand in line]
Rahul - Oh hey Maya & Rani.
Rani - Hii.
Rahul - You girls can go in front of me.
Rani - Its ok.
Rahul - Ladies first.
Rani - Thanks.
[Rani and Maya get their tickets and enter the club, followed by Rahul. They all began dancing and stuff. Rani seems to be the only one just alone not really involved in the dancing. Maya and other friends try to pull her in, and she goes in for a bit and then steps out. Rahul notices this.]
Rahul - Hey babe. Why aren't you dancing?
Rani - Haha. I don't know.
Rahul - You gotta dance. I'll dance with you!
[They start dancing together. It gets a bit intense and passionate. This is the first time Rani has ever danced with a guy. She is loving it]!
Rahul - You have a hot ass!
Rani - Oh Rahul.
Rahul - And you're a great dancer. I loved dancing with you!
Rani - Thanks Rahul. Today has to have been the best day of my life.
Rahul - I had a great time too.
[Maya and Rani are about to leave. Jay is dropping them off. Rani is dying to tell Maya all that happened, but doesn't want to say anything in front of Jay, so she waits till they get out of the car!
Rani - OMG OMG OMG. MAYAA!
Maya - I know. I saw you. Wow I can't believe you Rani. I've never seen this side of you!
Rani - OMG I'm on cloud nine!
Maya - Haha
[Raas practice continues as usual. Rani is still very disappointed in not being able to make the team, but she moves on. She meets up with the team from time to time to say hi to everyone. She starts becoming close to every member of the team, who are like a big group of friends. She starts talking a lot with Rahul. They become good friends. It is now winter break and everyone has gone to their homes to enjoy the break. It is new year's eve, the clock about the strike 12. Rani receives a call but is unable to answer as she is away from her phone. She later comes and checks her voicemail. It is from Rahul. He is just talking about random stuff and then says happy new year. She is delighted to get a voicemail from Rahul. She tends to call him back but forgets in the mist.]
[Back on campus]
Rani - Maya guess what?
Maya - What happened?
Rani - So on New Year's Eve, Rahul called.
Maya - Come again? Rahul called?
Rani - Yes. Isn't that so surprsing.
Maya - Duh! You guys barely talk to each other.
Rani - I know. That's why I was so surprised to see his call.
Maya - Well what did you guys talk about?
Rani - Actually he left a voicemail because I was away from my phone. And then I completely forgot to call him back. I feel so bad.
Maya - Don't worry about it too much! Lol. Unless you know...
Rani - Oh please! Haha.
[Later that night Rani signs onto her aim account. Rahul is online too. They start talking to each other and start discussing random stuff. Rani tells all her problems to him and he does the same. They've become best friends in such a short time. Rahul has finally graduated during the witner when everyone was on break. He lived 15 minutes away from campus, but rarely came down. Rani and Rani talked about 3 hours on aim before finally signing off and going to sleep.]
