nupur really was having a great time .. the parathas were out of this world ..... who knew that sadoo would actually bring her to such an amazing place .... nupur called out to the waiter and asked for a glass of lassi .
mayank was pleasantly suprised .... he had thought she had agreed to the parathas just for the sake of being polite ... but it seemed like she really likeed parathas and was having a nice time eating them ... which was the second suprise ..... a girl eating parathas !!!
this was the first time he had actually bought any girl here .... just the thought of having to eat parathas with dollops of butter would kill them .... they might end up starving themselves rest of the week to make up for the parathas ... infact the last girl he had gone out with ... sheena ... insisted on having only a salad for dinner ..... what was this inherernt need to look so starved ... the silly girls only ended up looking gaunt ......

mayank reached out for his phone and saw the caller id ... GUNJI ..... " hey gun whats up .. enjoying mumbai ............... ah-huh so tell me about it ..................... am just out for lunch ....... with nupur .... we are at makhan and parathas ........ ok hold on a sec " mayank passed on the phone to nupur and said " gunjan wants to talk to you "
nupur took the phone and was immediatly greeted by gunjan
" nupur where have you been ..... was trying to call you for da past half an hour "
" oh shit the battery must have died and you tell me whats up .... so you finally met samrat that day "
mayank's face instantly shot up hearing samrat's name ........ yeh samrat kaun hai he wondered ..........
" oooooo ministry of sound ........ am sure you must have had a great time ..... ha ha ha benji scared of having to face me ..... samrat loves to tease him ....... yeah sure ... offcourse i will ... take care gunjan .... byeee " and nupur hung up the phone .
she looked at mayank who for some reason had a strange expression on his face ....... " kahin yeh mirchi toh nahi chaba gaya " nupur wondered
" mayank you ok "
mayank came out of his reverie and saw nupur looking at him with a worried expression ... " yeah am fine was just thinking of something ...... so what did gunjan say "
" oh nothing much .. she went to this place ministry of sound ... my friend samrat owns it ... was just telling me about it "
aaaah friend ...... hmmmm " oh ohk "

gunjan felt slightly better after talking to nupur .... if only she was here ...... aaah well what cant be cured has to be endured.
" hmmm mayb i should send a thank you note to samrat ... he really went out of his way for me yesterday ....... hmmm but just a note ...... how about i bake him some brownies "
gunjan liked the idea of baking brownies for him ....... baking was her forte and well she hoped samrat would be touched by her gesture .... making up her mind gunjan left for the departmental store to purchase the ingredients .

" no not at all .... i have this small boutique ... i generally approach artisans around mumbai and retail there work "

" well i do export a lot of my stuff and one of my clients insisted i come down to delhi ..... i had my first meeting today .... they wanted to have a look at the samples ..... v need to meet again to nrgotiate the terms "
" so when so you have your next meeting "
" well i was suppose to have it on sunday but my clients have postponed it 2 tuesday ..... that was part of the reason i thought of walking ... i was hoping it would cool me down but the heat got me even more riled up "
mayank actually felt kinda sorry for her .... " so any plans for the next few days "
" ummm i plan to gooooo shopping .... actually there are a few artisans i need to find "
" oh .. want me to come along " .... mayank didnt knw what made him say it but it just came
" you ..... eh well i need to go to this place chandni chowk ...... if its ok with you then maybe you could come along with me ' .... nupur couldnt believe herself and even mayank for that matter ... he offered to come shopping with her and she asked him to accompany her ..... too much of heat thats it ... i was walking in the heat for too long ... thats why i am acting this crazy ..... but why was he acting like this
CHANDNI CHOWK .... mayank was shocked out his wits. .. it was a madhouse ... there was no way he would be caught dead going there no no no " ok i will come along .... does tomorrow suit you " ....... What the hell dude you said yes !!!!!

" oh anytime " ..... ok better get going before you call your attorney and will all your property in her name ..... mayank called out to the waiter for the check

ummmmmmmmm these smell good ....... gunjan was glad they came out well .... she packed them in a box and quickly wrote a note for samrat " thanks a lot for a lovely evening .... with regards gunjan sharma "
she called up the doorman and noted down samrat's address and headed out of nupur's apartment to deliver them .

" phew what a long tiring day ....... am glad to be home " samrat thought while walking towards his apartment. As he reached his place he noticed a small box lying on the floor with a note ... his first reaction was to ignore it ... probably some promotion scheme or something but as he reached for his door he saw his name written on the note " samrat " ... thats it .. not samrat sehgal and even his address wasnt mentioned ....so whoever had sent it had got it hand delivered .. hmmmmm interesting ... he reached for the box and took it inside
once inside his apartment curiousiy got the better of him and he opened the note .... it immediatly bought a smile to his face ....." thanks a lot for a lovely evening .... with regards gunjan sharma " ....... hmmmmm so gunjan was the mysterious sender ...... he opened the box and found these really delectable looking brownies ... he grabbed a piece and took a bite " uummmmmmm oh gosh ... they are out of this world ... i wonder where she picked them from " he inspected the box and tried looking for the baker's name .... were they from Mama mia ... nope their's are too dry .... barista ...hmmmmm nope ........ not finding any logo on the box it dawned on him that she had baked them on her own ........ whoa samrat couldnt believe she actually baked these brownies for him .... he was really touched by her gesture ..... apart from nupur no one had actually cooked something for him especially ...... with a smile on his face he reached for his phone .

gunjan was startled hearing nupur's landline ring .... who could it be she wondered .. hesitantly she picked up the reciver and answered " hello "
" muhje nahi pata tha tun itni achi cook ho "
" uhhh mein hmmm not really "
" YOU ARENT ... oh achaa i thought u baked these brownies " samrat replied with a mischievous smile on his face ..... oh gosh gunjan really was soooo bashful.
" eh i did bake those browinies " gunjan answered with a somewhat embarrassed expression.
" i know .. i guessed it from the box .... gunjan really they are the best browinies i have ever had and please do me a favor ... nupupr ko mat batana i said that ... she once made brownies for me ... benji and i still use them as paperweights "
" ha ha ha ...... gosh really "
samrat smiled .. she really had such a nice style of laughing " really ... baking really isnt her forte ..... anyways thanks a ton for the brownies "
" you're welcome samrat " gunjan said with a smile
" ok then will see you around ... take care "
" you to byeeee " and gunjan kept the phone
samrat still couldnt believe she had actually baked these brownies for him ... he looked again at the box and just couldnt stop smiling

next morning
gunjan locked nupur's apartment and started walking towards the elevator ... it had finally stopped raining and she decided to do some sightseeing .
samrat was standing at the doorman's desk going throught his mail when he spotted gunjan
" hey gunjan "
gunjan saw samrat waving out to her and walked towards him ...." hi samrat ...whats up "
" nothing much with me ... you say ... planning to go out "
" yeah .. finally ... it stopped raining so i decided to go out "
" well i wouldnt really trust mumbai rains ... one minute you r jsut standing adn the next minute it starts pouring ... "
" ha ha yeah nupur warned me about that ... anyways i will get going now "
" eh wait lemme show you around " samrat offered
" noooo its ok am sure you must be busy .. i will take a taxi "
" a taxi ... well i dont think that a very good idea "
gunjan got worried ..... " not a good idea why "
" well for starters i dont think the taxi driver will be a good company .... also i doubt if he can really take you around as such and then whats the point in visiting a place if you dont have a localite guiding you ...... really you deserve much better company "
" meaning you " gunjan couldnt stop herself from laughing .... he really was crazy
" awwww really you think i am good ..... then on that thought lemme take you around " ... samrat motioned her to follow him to his car and gunjan followed him to his car ... still laughing .

what a beautiful day indeed ... nupur couldnt help thinking .... delhi weather had greatly improved since yesterday and who knew it might even rain and she was having the time of her life in chandni chowk .... it really was the most fascinating place she had never seen ..... she had haunted lots of market places in and around mumbai but this place was different ....... it had this amazing energy to it ... and the most fascinating part were a number of these by-lanes , each specializing in a particular field ..... she was really glad she got an opportunity to come here ..... meeting the artisans had been most promising and she couldnt believe all the amazing stuff she was able to find .... she was so excited to go back and hold an exhibition for all her clients .......they had been roaming for two hours but with each passing hour instead than getting tired nupur found herself getting more and more excited and wel sadoo also wasn that bad a company .... ok so he whinned once in a while ..... but she was glad he was here .. after all shopping bags uthane ki loye bhi toh koi chaheye na ..... she burst out laughing seeing him struggle with all her shopping bags
mayank was having the most harrowing time ever ... chandni chowk was a MADHOUSE .... he was soooo right about it ... the crowd were driving him up the wall ... on the top of it nupur seem to be getting peped up with each passing hour and all these shopping bags werent making life easier for him but despite all this he seem to be enjoying herself .. nupur was a crazy crazy girl but she knew how to deal with shopkeepers ..... watching her bargain with them was soooo much of fun .. he couldnt help but laugh seeing the shopkeeper's expressions and then the artisans .... gosh she spoke so warmly to them and was so sympathetic to there cause ... the fact that she was making an effort to promote there now almost extinct trade was so endearing .
mayank was actually quite suprised seeing these different sides of her ...... , annoyance, Exuberance , compassion ..... and she almost had this child like quality in her ....... anything which she liked made her soooo excited ... and she would get this sparkle in her eyes and anyything which she disliked was met with a frown ....... nupur bhushan was one fascinating personality he decided
mayank was so lost in summing up nupur's personality that he didnt notice nupur laughing her head off ... gently she tapped him on his shoulder and he snapped back into reality
" what " he asked almost furiously
" ehhhh nothing but i really dont think standing in the middle of the road trying to struggle with the bags will get you anywhere ........... here let me help .... actually am sorry ... i shouldnt have been so callous ... leaving you to pick up all the stuff " saying this nupur took a few bags from mayank's and and continued walking .
mayank decided it was better not to say anything at the moment and just decided to follow nupur ... how much more does she intend shopping he wondered ..... infact she had beaten his mom and gunjan when it came to shopping and they were quite a force to reckon with
' oh shit ..... gunjan ........ what if nupur tells her i took her to Chandni chowk ...... damn i will never hear the end of it .... and damn what if mom also finds out .......... she and gunjan will surely gang up on me ... should i ask nupur not to tell gunjan ... nope she might get suspicious and "
" MAYANK ...... hurry up ..... i need to check out 5 more stores ... at this rate we will be stuck here all day "

" really " gunjan exclaimed ....... the view was just amazing ..... from here one could have a clear view of the waterfront of South Mumbai . gunjan was glad samrat had insisted on taking her around ....... it was really so much of fun having him around and offcourse he knew all the right places to take her to ... had she been on her own she would have just not been able to figure out ...... so far he had shown her the flora fountain , the town hall .... which was one o the most magnificent buildings she had ever seen . and the interiors were as fascinating as the exterior . The colonnaded hall had a number of statues, depicting the long-forgotten heroes of the city. The library situated inside the museum apparently had an assimilation of over 800,000 antique volumes and then he had taken her to the Bombay High court .
even though she had been to the Supreme Court a number of times she couldn help being in awe of the architecture ..... Built as per the Gothic architectural style, there was a huge tower in the center, flanked by two octagonal towers in the west. she wondered if one day she would get the opportunity to practice here

gunjan started laughing again " oh dear god .... you still stuck on that .... anyways right now am very hungry ... so what do you suggest "
