Rahul: Musk..Muskaan…

Muskaan: Hmmm…(still holding on to him tightly)

Rahul: Not that I mind you being so close to me, per tum meray pair per khari ho pichlay saath minutes say…thoda sa dard ho raha hain… just a little. (he smiled)

Muskaan: (Looks down at her feet and realizes she was standing on his toes) Oh..umm..i..i am sorry…(she moves away blushing a bit)

Rahul: It's okay… Ghar Chalay?

Muskaan: Hmmm…chalo…(Just as they were about to leave the Gazebo a gush of cold wind literally blows Muskaan away, As she balances her bodyweight on high heels she lost her grip on her Sari's pallu and the wind blew the light pink chiffon in the opposite direction. It exposed Muskaan's slim body and the short blouse that she was wearing underneath it. She tried her best to bring back the pallu towards herself but the wind force was way out of control. Rahul turned to see why Muskaaan's wasn't next to him and as he turned he was compeletely overwhelmed by what his eyes witnessed in that single magical moment. The word "beautiful" was an understatement for Muskaan's beauty, simplicity, and grace. Rahul went closer to her and helped her with her sari's pallu, his gentle touch on her hand gave Muskaan butterflies in her stomach- a feeling she forgot ever exsisted. She knew he had seen what just happened; her half bare body and she knew that it wasn't done intentionally. Her eyes were shyly lowered as he brought back and wrapped the sari's pallu around her and then took off his jacket and wrapped it around her shoulders for warmth as well. He knew her soft and shy nature didn't allow her to say or even look him in the eyes after what just happened between the two, but the way she smiled after he provided her with his jacket left no room for any awkwardness between them. He respected her more than anything in the world and he assured her of that by making sure that she was protected and taken care of in situations that she might find difficult to understand and face alone.)

Rahul: You okay?

Muskaan: (still feeling shy) ..Umm..voh..haan..mm..

Rahul: (lifts up her chin and makes her look up at him) Tum theek ho na?

Muskaan: (looking in his eyes chased all the rationalities and facts away, she found no reason to feel guilty or awkward, instead she started smile at his sweetness) Abb theek ho…

Rahul: (laughs lightly) Toh theek hain…main bhi theek ho tum bhi theek ho…hum sub theek hain..abb theek theek ghar chaltey hain…

Muskaan: Iss sentence mein word "Theek" kitni baar use kiya hain tumne?

Rahul: (puts his arms around her shoulder as they walk ahead) Pata nahi per tumhay count kar lay na chiyay tha…

Muskaan: (holding on to his arm as they walk, She laughs lightly at his joke) Rahul tum bhi na…kabhi kabhi itna fast boltey ho meri kuch shamajh mein nahi ata….

Rahul: Tabhi toh bolta ho…

Muskaan: Kya?

Rahul: Kya? Maine kuch kaha kya…?

Muskaan: haan abhi toh main kuch suna…

Rahul: Kub…

Muskaan: Abhi…abhi…

Rahul: Per maine toh nahi suna…

Muskaan: Rahul agar tum kaho gay toh suno gay kaisey…

Rahul: Huh?

Muskaan: Haan…

Rahul: (opens the car door as they reach the car while pointlessly arguing) Issi pehlay main aur confuse hojao tum gar mein beht jao...

Muskaan: (smiles as he hold the door for her) Thank you…

Rahul: Anything for you my lady… (he closes the door and heads over to driver's seat as Muski watches and smiles)

Muskaan: Rahul tumharai gari mein koi achi C.D nahi hain? (she said looking around while Rahul drove looking staright ahead)

Rahul: Muskaan hotel ki gari hain meri apni thodi hain…kyun tumhay koi gana suna hain?

Muskaan: hmm koi acha sa purana gana…ajj bahut dino baat mera dil koi bahut acha gana ganay ko kar raha…

Rahul: Toh iss mein CD ki kya zaroorat hain…yaad hain uss din jub humnay saath mill kar gajhar ka halva banaya tha Mumbai mein, meri house warming part kay liye…

Muskaan: Haan bilqual aue uss din light bhi chali gaye thi…

Rahul: nothing bring about a good singer like a broken electrical fuse madam…gaana suna hain toh mujhay aik baar keh kar toh dekho…

Muskaan: Acha toh yeh baat hain…toh phir Dr.Rahul Garewal will you please sing for me…?

Rahul: (looks over to her smiles, then takes her hand in his free hand) Ofcourse…this one is for you…sirf tumharay liye... Muskaan: (smiles as he looks at her after saying the last line and before he could continue with the next part she sings it for him, making it a duet) "Aisa Lagaa Mere Sanam, Hum Jo Yahan Miley…Sehraa Mein Jaise Shabnami…Chaahat Ke Gul Khile…Ye Zameen Aasman, Keh Rahe… Hum To Kabhi Na Honge Judaa. Meri Duniya Hai, Tujh Mein Kahin Tere Bin Main Kya, Kuch Bhi Nahin Meri Jaan Mein, Teri Jaan Hai Hoo, Saathi Mere…" (Rahul takes her hand and kisses it gently while griping on it tightly, she blushes and lovingly puts her head on his shoulder while he continues the drive smiling having Muskaan close to him just like he had always wanted to. There was silence between them but they were both enjoying the silence as it gave them a chance to imagine a beautiful feauture ahead.)

Rahul: (parks the car in front of Muski's apartment) Muskaan ghar agaya…

Muskaan: (sleeping on his shoulder)

Rahul: (hearing no response from her he looks down at her and smiles as he finds her with her eyes closed)

Muskaan: (in her sleep) Rahul agar tum mujhay issi tarah dekh tay rahay toh mujahy tumhari nazar lag jaye ge… (she smiles)

Rahul: (surprised to find her awake) Aray, tum toh jag rahi thi..

Muskaan: (opens her eyes) Haan toh maine kub kaha so rahi thi…bus ankehein band thi…

Rahul: Vaisey normally loog ankhein band kar kay sotey hain…

Muskaan: Normal cheezein toh normal loog kartey hain aur tumhay yeh kis nay keh diya kay main normal ho…(she grabs her silver clutch and gets out the car as Rahul does the same)

Rahul: Right….Muskaan aur Normal…I see no connection whatsoever…(he laughs as they reach her doorstep)

Muskaan: (searching through her clutch for keys) Kahan rakh di…?

Rahul: Tum house keys purse mein kub se rakhnay lagi…?

Muskaan: (looks up confused) Kya?

Rahul: (smiles and lightly punches the front door, the impact made the keys fall from the door frame in to his palm) Kuch baatein kabhi nahi badalti…(he hands her the keys)

Muskaan: Tumhay yaad tha?

Rahul: Mumbai mein bhi toh tum ghar ki keys door kay upper rakhti thi aur main hameesha unhay use kar kay tumhay check karnay ajata tha…

Muskaan: (closes the door as they entered) Rahul tum kabhi kuch nahi bhool tay…

Rahul: Nope. never….especially har voh baat jo tumse juri ho…(he smiled)

Muskaan: Acha coffee piyo gay?

Rahul: Nahi kal he toh pet hi… tum yahan behto na… (he pulls her down on the couch and smiles)

Muskaan: (shakes her head at his silliness and sits on the couch next to him) Hmm bolo kya kaam hain?

Rahul: Kaam?

Muskaan: Haan aur kya…tumhay jana bhi toh hain vapis…

Rahul: Right per abhi thora time hai meray pass…

Muskaan: Raat kay puray 2:00 bajay tumharay pass time kay ilawa aur kuch ho bhi nahi sakta…(she glances at the clock and smiles while taking the jacket that rahul's had wrapped around her off.)

Rahul: Tum ho, time hain, aur kya chiyay… (he gets a bit close to her)

Muskaan: (looks down while blushing then throws the jacket on his face and gets up) Abb sirf time hain, main nahi, kyunki mujhay sunay jana hain…neend arahi hain… (she yawns)

Rahul: Hmmm per uss coffee ka kya hoga? (he hold her hand back)

Muskaan: Kal he toh pe thi tumne… (she takes his hand and starts to direct him towards the front door again.)

Rahul: Umm per…

Muskaan: (opens the door for him) Rahul jao…

Rahul: Per tum ne voh toh kaha he nahi…(he holds the half shut door back)

Muskaan: Kya?

Rahul: I Love You…

Muskaan: Kya?! Rahul tum na bilqual pagal hogaye ho issi liye jao aur get some sleep (she starts to close the door again)

Rahul: Say the magical three words I'll leave…(he hold it back once again)

Muskaan: Rahul…(a bit serious and uncomfortable)

Rahul: Fine, fine, I am going… (he starts to walk backwards as Muskaan stands at the door watching him go while smiling at her, but before she could shut the door completely Rahul came running back again)

Muskaan: Abb kya hain?

Rahul: Voh mujhay Prateek se milna hai…

Muskaan: Rahul per voh toh…

Rahul: (before she compeleted her sentence he blurted out) Apnay betay ko good night kehna hai… Please…(he said it so lovingly that Muskaan was left speechless) Main mil sakta ho?

Muskaan: (nods her head with moist eyes as she gives him way to come in again)

Rahul: (looks at her and notices her tears bulging) Arey yeh kya?

Muskaan: nahi kuch nahi…(she tries to look away holding her emotions back)

Rahul: (cups her face in his hands and make her look up) Main apni family ko kabhi apnay se dur nahi rakh sakta, tum aur Prateek abb se meri family ho…my life, my world… samjhi aur don't ever doubt that…

Muskaan: (hugs him instantly)

Rahul: (smiles) Love you Muskaan…

Muskaan: (looks up at him with her hands still wrapped around him)

Rahul: Abb yunhi mujhay dekhti raho ge ya Prateek kay pass bhi lay kay chalo ge…

Muskaan: (smiles) Chalo…(she takes his hand and leads him to Prateek's room as the light from his lamp lumintaed around the walls on his room, reflecting animal figures on wall)

~Rahul and Muskaan entered the room quietly and made their way towards Prateek's bed where he slept peacefully tucked neatly under the spongebob comforter. Muskaan went and sat by his bedside as Rahul went and knelt on the right side of his bed. He smiled looking at him; he looked as if he is smiling in his dream or something. Muskaan smiled watching rahul look at Prateek with so much love. As rahul extended his hand to run it through Prateek's hair he held himself back, Muskaan noticed his hesitation as she knew he didn't want him to wake him up. She gave him an assuring nod, gesturing him to go ahead as she knew Prateek is a deep sleeper, only a loud blaring alarm and Muskaan's tickling could wake him up. Rahul ran his hand gently through his hair and then leaned in to give him a light kiss on his forehead, it was sweet and gentle. Muskaan's smile grew wider at his sweetness; she leaned in and gave her son a peck right where Rahul had a moment a ago. They both glanced at eachother and smiled sweetly. In that moment Rahul's deep hazel gaze gave Muskaan the assurance that this was her reality, her happiness, her ultimate reasoning behind everything that she had belived in. Her fear no longer teased her about the past she had suffered and the uncertainty if the future no longer kept her from smiling widely. They both fix his comforter a bit then quitely get up and make their way out of his room, after turning to look at him one last time before leaving.~

Rahul: Prateek sotey huye bilqual tumharay jaisa lagta hain…

Muskaan: Tumhay kaisey pata main sotey huye kaisi lagti ho…

Rahul: Bus pata hain… (he opens the front door to leave)

Muskaan: Rahul… (calls out to him as he decends a few steps from the front door)

Rahul: Hmmm… (turns around to face her)

Muskaan: kal aaogay na?

Rahul: (smiles) tum jub apni ankhein subah kohlo ge toh sub se pehlay meri awaaz suno ge…I promise…

Muskaan: saach?

Rahul: Haan bilqual…(he comes forward and kisses her on her forhead assuring her once again)

Muskaan: Abb tum jao… (she pulls her hand back from his grip)

Rahul: Theek hain…

~Rahul walks backwards towards his car waving at her the entire time as she stood smiling and simply adoring Rahul's sweet nature. He reversed and gestured her to go inside before he goes. Muskaan shuts the door and closed her eyes leaning against it. She was still smiling sheepishly, like a young girl in first love or something. She didn't know why but this feeling she had when Rahul and she were in Prateek's room it just made everything seem perfect. Like nothing was wrong in this big bad world, like nothing else ever mattered expect for the harmony that they felt when they were together. It was perfect. She went to her bedroom, slid on her night suit, brushed her teeth, climbed under the soft white sheets, and played with the locket that Rahul had gifted her. It dangled around her neck as a reminder of something very special, she could feel the cold silver against her warm skin but it gave her an usual comfort and protection that she would never compromise for anything, and that night she fell asleep holding on to it. Her dreams came back, her nightmares casted away, her hopes were high, and her fears faded.~
