Okay.. I have read the chapter. And I hope you don't mind if I comment here instead of on that thread.

When I started reading the chapter, I was trying hard to see what was common. But now I feel a little stupid. It seems an episode from Infinity has come back. The chapter reminded me a little of that meeting of A and R, you know when she thinks she knows what is behind the mask but not facade and that some how disturbs her. I don't know if this is even relevant but Khushi's aloofness suddenly reminded me of that particular scene and the ending of the part when A had come to R after his room mate's death. I still say they aren't relevant. But those scenes flashed before me.

And what is common is a past and the way they behave so familiarly in each others presence yet like strangers all the time. And I still 'Life Happened" - that is what is common.

I think I've used too much of mind. But when I connected Infinity and noob-and-the-thoughtful. That's what I came up with - especially after QT's reply to CN's comment. 😊

It's alright since there are like four people who visit this thread. :=)

N&T technically can be summarized as - Infinity gone bad. At least that's where it starts from though quite frankly, I never intended to do so. Somehow I ended up doing that. If the characters from N&T are cut from same fabric of Infinity, then how did it all go wrong? Infinity's characters' flaw lies in the fact that there are no flaws in the thought process and have high moral righteousness. So if characters of N&T are derived from same, then what can possibly go wrong between two people like A and K or A and R?

QT's response for CN's update kind of reflects the same thought process that is evident in Infinity. QT wants to drag CN into a dialogue where the two of them can talk about their perspectives.

So its in reality four stories and not three 😆 😆 😆

Only 10 posts a day is attyachar against Newbies I tell you! So I am back here to comment on this one. I found the link to this on your other FF the Noob and the Thoughtful and started reading this and must confess to feeling like I have been on an emotional rollercoaster ride with the two characters that you have portrayed here.

I am not and never was a DMG fan. Though I have watched a few episodes. But the way you have shaped up a story, I almost felt like I was reading a Nicholas Sparks novel. Now whether that is a compliment or not is upto you to decide! :)

You are a simply amazing writer Sookie! I am off to check out some of these poems now! :)

P.S. Are you planning on writing an epilogue for this one?

Well, I was thinking of commenting and re-reading the story at the same time. I don't know when I'll have time to re-read it. So here is my comment for the prologue, for now..

It's been sitting in Word for a month, so it might be a little rusty. lol

This story is so intriguing. Just a gift relieved her stress? R seems to be a good girl, not so many detentions and all. They meet! Best friends that just drifted apart, only to meet up in detention? Wow. A seems like a weirdo. I mean who gets detention "to retrospect"? Okay, I guess he makes more sense now. Maybe. For two people who are now merely acquaintances, they sure are perceptive about each other. Ten years? He's going to meet her after ten years and ask her out on a date? Okay… At first reading, I don't get him. He's just going to wait ten years for her, but if she finds someone then he will just leave. Why isn't he included in this category? Robert Frost? He is one of my favorites. Fire and Ice would have to be my favorite; although, I haven't read a huge amount of his works. I can't wait to read the journal!

i think i am just so confused? was this FF completed somewhere else? I just sat and re-read it ... oh man How this is one of my favourite pieces of literature ever. that is what it is- pure brilliance!
