Part 16-

Raunak rushed out of nupurs place, disgusted and betrayed. He hated her more then anything on earth, but more then that he felt pained. He had felt bad when he had known what nupur had gone through, he had stood up for her, given her company, helped her to get her life back, but somehow he knew she had just seen him as a patent of usage. It killed him inside. I thought she was like my sister, and she... shit man.

He ran of upstairs to his room and went inside.

But she looked so innocent, so vulnerable, it still didnt sink in that nupur was at fault. It just didnt feel right.

Anna approached him from behind- you okay nicky?

Raunak- ya.. im fine. Just need a bit of fresh air.

Saying this he quickly went into the balcony. And he put his head to his hands and felt tears rolling down his cheeks.

Life is disgusting, he thought and looked up.

And as he did he was shoked to see what he was looking at. Nupur. Nupur was gulping down some tablets down her throat. At first he was astounded, he didnt understand what was going on, but suddenly it hit him, nupur wasnt lying, she was telling the truth. There must have been something that stopped akhil from telling, probably a whole new story altogether.

As it hit him, he suddenly understood the depth of the situation, nupur was attempting suicide. Shit!

He turned and ran back into his room and down the stairs as though some sort of a calamity had struck, he ran on pulling anna along as he did.

Nupur who lay on her bed, got up as she felt the drowsiness seep into her. She got up and thought, if akhil comes and sees me like this he'll rush me into the hospital. Suddenly an idea hit her. She rushed into the bathroom.

Anna and raunak were rushing down the staircase down the enterance of their house- raunak mumbling- nupur... innocent.. wrong.. pills... room... nupur

Anna who couldnt get a thing of what raunak was saying kept on running with raunak.

Nupur quickly opened the shower and sat down on the floor in a corner of the shower room. She slowly lowered her head down on her hands and then closed her eyes.

**

They both reached nupurs place and they started ringing the bell, no one opened the door.

**

Akhil and anvita who were talking a walk, on the fresh green patch of grass in the park, 5 blocks from akhils place, were talking.

Akhil- i thought itll be fine. I dint know something like this would happen you know.

Anvita- i know you would never have done that on purpose.

Akhil- i promised nupur you know that i wont....damn!

**

Raunak- AKHIL... AKHIL.. OPEN THE BLOODY DOOR! GOD DAMN YOU..!!!

Raunak banged over and over on the door.

Then he turned and started trying to break open the door.

Nupur slowly lay her head on the glass behind her and closed her eyes, as she felt unconciousness seep in. Something felt wierd, she couldnt feel anything.

Her head was spinning uncontrollably, she put a hand on her head.

**

Raunak broke open the house and rushed upto nupurs room with anna by his side.

As soon as he entered, he looked around and saw no nupur. Then he heard the faint sounds of someone taking a shower.

Raunak- shes in the shower. Come on.

He said and banged upon the door.

**

Akhil and anvita who were walking back home, felt a strange guilty feeling. It didnt feel right. At the moment nothing felt right.

**

Raunak ran towards nupur who was sitting in the far end of the room. Her eyes closed, and no visible movement.

He ran towards her with anna by his side.

As soon as he reached her, he knelt down and checked her pulse.

Raunak turned to anna- call the ambulance. Shes still alive. But her pulse is weakening. Jaldi.

Anna ran out of the room, and called up her family doctor. Doctor shashank gupta.

She turned back, to see raunak carrying a completely wet and drenched nupur in his arms. He alongside anna rushed towards the front door, waiting for the ambulance.

Raunak- why is it taking so much time?

Anna- her pulse is weakening every second.

Raunak- shes slowly turning white man. Shit.

Anna- tu nupur ko sambhal main akhil ko ddhund ke aati hoon.

She said and ran of outside.

Akhil and anvita who walked hand in hand, finally felt at peace. It felt so good to be together. It was like a complete feeling.

They stood beside each other, hands in each others hands, lost in the gaze when suddenly they heard someone shouting AKHIL!!!??!!!

Akhil- damn! What a great timing

Anna came rushing towards him and said- nupur.. had pills... ambulance.. jaldi aa!

As soon as he heard her they were all running towards the house, where they found the ambulance loading nupur in, all 4 of them got in alongside.

Akhil- anna can i have your cell?

She handed it to him. He quickly called up his parents and gave them the address of where to come.

After 12 blood-gushing minutes nupur was rushed into the ot.

Nearly 7 minutes later their mom and dad arrived alongside shilpa aunty.

Mom- yeh sab kaise hua akhil.

Akhil- mom dad, we need to talk.

And he took them aside and narrated out the story.

After 2 hours of desperate efforts, shashank gupta, although exhausted couldn't help but feel nausea creeping over him.

He kept trying hard to revive the girl with all his strength of knowledge and experience. As he took up desperate measures to save the girl, he cursed the people standing outside. If they could have bought her in just a few minutes early, they could have saved her.

Suddenly dr. Armaan malik started shouting- sir.. sir iski pulse flat ho gayee hai.

Dr shashank looked up in shock.

Is this the end?
