It is morning in NY now…the sun is shinning brightly…the sun rays go through the window on Alicia's face…she takes her arm and tries to cover her eyes…when she realizes she can't do it anymore so she decides to get up…she sits up on the couch wid a throbbing pain in her hand…she looks around and sees the empty bottle of wine and realizes she got drunk last night…she puts her feet down and gets up…when she hears a scream she jumps back on the couch and sees Rishi lying down on his back on the floor…
Rishi: oww…
Alicia: I'm so sorry…I didn't see ya….
Rishi gets up and says: its cool…did we both get drunk last night?
Alicia: I think so…is your head hurting?
Rishi: yes…
Alicia: I think don't you drink lime juice when you get a hangover?
Rishi: yes…
Alicia goes and makes lime water for both of them…she gives one to Rishi and drinks the other herself...
Alicia: So are you going to Times Square to see the ball drop tonight?
Rishi: don't know…do you wanna go?
Alicia: yes…I hv always wanted to go there…
Rishi: I can talk to the others and maybe they might agree…
Alicia: gr8
Coffee House-
Alicia is sitting down reading a magazine while Rishi is flirting wid a girl at the counter…when Rahul and Sonya enter…Rahul goes to Rishi…while Sonya sits next to Alicia…
Sonya: hey…I feel really bad for yesterday…is there something I can go?
Alicia: I already forgave you but you could do something…
Sonya: what?
Alicia: I have always wanted to go to Times Square on New Year's Eve will you convince everyone else to go too?
Sonya: yeah…Rahul and I were thinking of going too…
Rahul and Rishi come back…Rahul has coffee for him and Sonya…Rishi has a piece of paper which he is staring at…
Alicia: why are you staring at that piece of paper?
Rishi: because it has something written on it…
Alicia: what is written it?
Rishi: something important…
Alicia whinning: lemme see it…
Rishi: no
Alicia: show it to me or I'll snatch it…
Rishi: I won't
Alicia gets up and looks at it and gets confused…
Alicia: why is there #'s written all over it?
Rishi: cuz that is the phone # of that girl on the counter…btw I scored a date wid her…
Alicia: good for you and sits back down…when suddenly Sonya screams and holds her left hand and says: Do you guys know why it feels so heavy?
Everyone: no
Sonya showing her ring and says: because of this heavy rock on my delicate finger and she laughs…everyone tries to give a fake laugh…
Sonya: how long till it will become annoying?
Everyone thinking it has already become so annoying…Just then a pretty excited Anjali enters holding shopping bags…Sonya looks at her and is shocked…
Anjali: listen you won't believe it…I found a job as a personal shopper at this store…so my work is to shop…isn't this so cool….
Everyone: yes…
Anjali: there is more…u know how u both got engaged (Pointing towards Rahul and Sonya)…so I decided to move out and I found this apartment right across this street from yours…and I just met this guy at the mall and we're going out for lunch… (She looks at her watch) he should be here now…
Alicia goes back to reading her magazine and everyone else is just chitchatting…when we hear a guy's voice say: there you are Anjali…I missed you…(Alicia is shocked to hear that voice she has heard it before…she looks up and sees Jason standing there)
Anjali: everyone this is Jason…Jason this is everyone…lets go I'm hungry… ( they both leave and Jason doesn't get a chance to look @ Alicia)
Sonya: I don't believe it…
Alicia: I don't either
Rahul confused: what don't you guys believe?
Sonya: you know that guy that Anjali is dating is Jason…he's Alicia's ex-boyfriend…
Rahul: really?
Sonya: yes
Rishi: isn't there like a code b/w u girls that u can't date your friend's ex?
Sonya: well…something like that…I think Anjali doesn't know but when she finds out she wouldn't date him…
Alicia: anyway he is a big cheat and loser…I'll tell everything to her…
Sonya: btw I think we should all go to Times Square tonight…
Alicia all excited: yes….
They all decide to go...
Sonya's apt.:
Anjali: I don't care if he cheated on you that doesn't mean he'll cheat on me…
Alicia: I was just telling you to help you out…you're my friend…it's my duty to tell you and help you...i don't want you to go through the pain I had too…
Anjali: I don't need your advice…I'm old enough to decide what is wrong or not?
Alicia fine…and goes to her apt.
NY Eve @ Times Square:
Like usual there are thousands of people standing out there waiting for the ball to drop…there are kids to old people just standing there waiting…it is snowing really lightly…Rahul and Sonya are holding each other's hand…while Sanjana and Jay are standing looking at each other's eyes…Anjali like usual is complaining abt something and by now even Jason is tired of listening to her…Alicia is standing next to Rishi and is acting like a silly little kid excited to see the ball drop…there are 10 seconds left…everyone starts to count the countdown…"10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1…"… "HAPPY NEW YEAR"…all the couples start kissing each other…Rishi looks at Alicia and Alicia looks up at him…He comes toward her and kisses her lightly on her lips…which she returns…now both of them are kissing each other…then they finally part away…they both think that was a good kiss…then it hits Alicia that she just kissed Rishi she thinks ewww…meanwhile Rishi thinks the same thing I just kissed Alicia ewww…they both say at the same time…that never happened….
Alicia: that was disgusting….
Rishi: I know
Alicia: I feel so grossed out…
Rishi: no I feel more grossed out…
Alicia: no I do
Rishi: I definitely do
Then they both continue fighting…while everyone else is wishing each other a Happy New Year….

Sonya: So guys what is your New Year resolution?
Anjali: I dun know…but I bought this amazing scarf…it was only for $30…
Jay: why don't you try to have a budget?
Anjali: me on a budget never…I can never do that…

Alicia: hey Jay… do you have a pen?
Jay: yeah…it's somewhere in my pocket… (He digs in his jeans pockets…he gets all sort of stuff out…finally after a while)…sorry I don't
Rishi: I think Jay you should try to be more organized
Jay: I'm organized
Alicia: really…then how come whenever I call you…it takes you almost 5 minutes to answer…
Jay: fine…
Sonya: did u guys know that guy living above us…he's getting divorced again….
Rahul: really…it's for the third time…
Alicia: I think you should stop gossiping Sonya…
Sonya: I don't gossip
Rahul: come to think of it…you do
Sonya: I just pass of some information I find…it's like the news...
Alicia: it's ok…lots of people gossip…its normal…

Rishi reaching for his second bottle of beer…before he could Alicia reached for it and stopped him from taking it…
Rishi: come on lemme take it…it's only my second
Alicia: no…you are turning into an alcoholic
Rishi: only one more

Alicia: your resolution should be to drink less alcohol or just quit drinking…
Rishi: I can't do that…
Alicia: you should try at least before you turn into an alcoholic…
Rishi: i will but then you should try not getting fired…
Alicia: fine…
Sonya: I think all of us have a resolution…
Rahul: I don't…
Sonya: what do you want yours to be?
Rahul: well I have never volunteered before…so I'm thinking of volunteering….
Jay: that is nice
Anjali: I have a gr8 idea…why don't we all try to keep our resolution for at least a week and whoever breaks it first will have to pay $50 to us …meaning $10 to each one of us...
Alicia: that's a nice idea…
Rishi: i like it…
Rahul: cool…I'm in…
Sonya: me too
Jay: me three…
Anjali: so it's starts from tomorrow…
Alicia: I can't wait…
Alicia & Rishi's Place:
Alicia was going in her room when Rishi grabs her hand…she turns around…
Alicia: what are you doing?
Rishi: holding your hand
Alicia: well…leave it…
Rishi leaves it…
Rishi: I need to talk to you abt what happened earlier
Alicia: what happened?
Rishi: well…I just want you to know whatever happened…should remain b/w the two of us
Alicia: what did you think…I'll scream it all around NY…
Rishi: well…you got a chance to kiss me…duh…you would wanna everyone to know
Alicia: gr8 joke…I am not crazy that I would wanna embarrass myself…
Rishi: what do you mean?
Alicia sarcastically: you are too smart to get it…
Rishi: huh
Alicia: go to sleep…I'm going to…there is no point in putting so much pressure on your brain…

It was the last day of the resolution…so far everyone had kept their resolution…
Salon-
This is where Alicia was working lately…she had been just cleaning the plane or be at the cashier…today her boss had told her to mix the dye stuff and die this lady's hair…
Alicia was very excited and accidentally she put the blue dye instead of the brown one…she started mixing it…it looked weird but she just ignored it…she started applying it on the ladies hair…after a while she was watching this movie so she got caught up in it…when she realized she has to wash her hair…she washed it and it turned out blue...in that shock the gum she was chewing came out of her mouth and got on the woman hair…
W: how does my hair look?
Alicia: umm…
W: lemme see it?
Alicia was trying to stop her but she looked at it and the women screamed so loudly that everyone in the store stopped doing what they were doing and turned their attention to them…Alicia was trying not to laugh at how the woman looked but anyway she got fired…
While Anjali was at the mall…she only had $20 from her budget left she knew if she spend it then she would have to pay all of them…she was walking when she saw this sale going on at Forever 21…she went in and saw this cute top…she bought it and couldn't help herself so she bought other things…and left the place….
Sonya was standing outside and saw Anjali with all the bags she knew she probably failed to fulfill the resolution…she was walking when she ran into her friend Jane…she started talking….
Sonya: did you hear abt Kelly?
Jane: no
Sonya: I heard that she is dating a guy…
Jane: isn't she married
Sonya: yeah…
Jane: listen I have to go
Sonya: bye
Anjali was standing a few feet from her and had heard everything…
Rahul was heading to the soup place to serve again tonight…he was really tired…he didn't want to go…so he decided to skip it…
Meanwhile Rishi was at a bar trying not to drink then he finally gave up and started to drink and kept on drinking till he was happy…
Jay's Place:
It was neatly organized…he had done that because of the resolution but he didn't like it…he was tired of having everything in order…in all the frustration he messed everything up and sat on his couch relaxed looking at the mess…
Next Day @ Sonya's Place-
Everyone was their and sitting on the couch…
Sonya: so did everyone keep their resolution?
Everyone: yes
Sonya: Good
Sonya again: are you sure there was no one who messed up?
Everyone: yes
Sonya: fine
Alicia: I can't take it anymore…I got fired yesterday…
Sonya: ok…
Alicia: I'll pay you guys
Just then Rishi interrupts: I drank yesterday too…so I'll pay too…
Rahul: I have something to say I skipped the volunteer thing yesterday I should have to pay…
Jay: I was frustrated so I messed up my place so it would be organized…
Anjali: I have to confess that I went over budget…
Rahul: does that mean we all goofed up except Sonya?
Sonya: yeah….
Anjali: no…she did too…I listened to her gossiping to Jane yesterday abt Kelly and how she's married and is dating this other guy…
Rahul: Kelly is dating another guy…
Anjali: that is not the point…
Sonya: fine I gossiped yesterday but that was just really juicy news I had to tell someone…
Alicia: does that mean no one has to pay to anyone…
Rishi: I guess so
Jay: I think resolutions are just things you say you do but you never do that…
Anjali: I agree with you…
Alicia: don't know abt others but it's true for all of us
