She goes and opens the door…We see a guy standing there…
G: Hi…is Alicia Sharma there?
Sonya: yeah…Alicia someone's @ the door for u…
Alicia: I'm coming…and goes to the door…
Alicia: Hi…do I know u?
G: I don't think so…I'm here to give u a parcel…and hands her a tiny box...will u sign right here…
Alicia signs it and he leaves…she is abt to open it when the phone rings…she picks it up….
Alicia: hello…
On the other line it's her mom: Hello beta…did u get the parcel?
Alicia: yes mom
Mom: did u open it yet?
Alicia: no…
Mom: then open it…
Alicia opens it and there is a key in it…
Alicia: what's the key for?
Mom: go outside ur building and see for yourself…
Alicia: but mom…
Mom: go now and call me later to tell me if u like my surprise…
Alicia puts the phone down…
Sonya: wht was tht?
Alicia: nothing my mom called and asked me to go outside and there is a surprise for me…
Sonya: cool…want me to come?
Alicia: sure…
They are leaving when Rishi asks: where are u guys going?
Alicia: just downstairs for a sec we'll be back soon…
Rishi: I'm coming wid u guys so I can be sure u guys are coming back…
Sonya: fine…let's go…
The three go downstairs and see a beautiful new car standing there…
Alicia: OMG…this is so cool…I can't believe it I get my own car…and starts jumping up and down….Sonya and Rishi start examining the car…She looks @ the car and is just amazed by it…when a guy calls her name: Alicia…she turns around and sees Sameer standing there holding a gift wrapped in his hand…
Alicia: wht r u doing here?
Sameer: here to see my friend…
Alicia: really…who's that friend of urs?
Sameer: u don't know her…
Alicia: so it's a her…
Sameer: yes it's a her…
Alicia: may I ask the name of that person…
Sameer: u may not…
Alicia: fine don't tell me…I'm not interested in that stupid friend of urs…
Sameer: hey…don't call her stupid…
Alicia: why?
Sameer: because only I can call her that
Alicia: whatever…anyway look I got a new car…
Sameer: that's cool…
Sonya: Let's go guys everyone is waiting for us…
Rishi: yeah…I'm so hungry…
Sonya: can u think abt something other than food?
Rishi: sure…want me to tell u?

Alicia: yeah just a sec…
Sonya and Rishi head to the apartment…
Alicia: ok…then hv fun meeting ur friend…I hv to go…bye…
Sameer: Bye…
Alicia heads to her apartment…and realizes someone is following her…she looks behind to see it's Sameer…
Alicia: wht r u doing here?
Sameer: going to my friends place…
Alicia: really…
Sameer: yes…
Alicia reaches her apartment door and sees Sameer is still behind her…
Alicia: so which apartment does she lives in?
Sameer: in apt. no 223…
Alicia: but that's my apt no…and then it all clicks in her mind…Sameer was here to attend her birthday party and she was his friend…
Sameer: so did u figure it out or does my stupid friend need me to still tell her the name of my friend…
Alicia: I figured it out…so is this present for me…
Sameer: no
Alicia: wht?
Sameer: obviously it's for u…and gives it to her…
Alicia: thanks…she is abt to open it but Sameer stops her from doing it…
Sameer: open it at night when ur alone…
Alicia: ok…let's go in…
They both enter the apartment…
Alicia cuts the cake and everyone sings "Happy Birthday" for her and claps…
She cuts a tiny piece and puts it in Sonya's mouth...and then everyone starts eating while others are dancing…the music is on pretty loud and the song "Don't be Shy" by Rouge comes on…Sameer asks Alicia for a dance and they start dancing and laughing together…when Rishi sees that and has a strange feeling which he never had before…

Part 20
Rishi is looking at Alicia & Sameer when a girl comes up to him and ask him to dance wid her and they both start dancing and flirting…he forgets abt his feeling… the party is over and everyone has left except Jay, Rahul, Sonya and Sameer…they are all sitting and just talking…while Sonya like usual starts cleaning up…
Alicia: why don't u sit down and enjoy wid us?
Sonya: cuz I'm cleaning…
Alicia: we'll clean later…come on hv fun…
Sonya: I'm having fun…
Alicia: by cleaning
Sonya: yes by cleaning…
Alicia: ok and sist on the couch in between Sameer and Rishi…while Jay is sitting on the loveseat with Rahul…
Rahul: nice party…I'm so exhausted…
Jay: me too…I hv work tomorrow…I think I'll head home…
Jay gets up and leaves…
Rahul: u coming Sonya?
Sonya: in a while…
Rahul: ok…I'm out too…take care…
Everyone else: bye…
Rishi: hey Sameer so do u hv a girlfriend or something?
Alicia looks at Sameer and says: do u?
Sameer: well…no
Rishi: really…
Alicia excitedly: cool…
Sameer: wht did u say?
Alicia: I was saying why don't u hv one?
Sameer: well I haven't found u know the ONE girl yet…
Rishi: so r u gonna be single until then?
Sameer: no…cuz I hv a feeling she is somewhere near me and I'll get her very soon…
Alicia smiles thinking that…
Alicia: so wht does ur ONE girl has to be like?
Sameer: well…she has to love me…a u know modern girl but knows her limits…sweet and sexy but innocent at the same time…she should be funny… (Alicia thinking well I'm all that)…
Alicia: anything else?
Sameer: she should know how to cook…
Alicia thinking oh s**** I don't know how to cook…I hv never cooked before…wht am I gonna do…
Sameer: so Rishi wht abt u?
Rishi: me…only ONE girl never…I can't even think abt it…I can't stand a girl for more than one week…
Alicia to Sameer: actually they leave him in a week…and they both start laughing…
Rishi: I heard that…
Alicia: I know u did…
Rishi: well…at least they want to spend some time wid me…no guy wants to spend even one sec wid u…
Alicia: that's not true….
Sameer thinks I could spend my whole life wid her…
Rishi and Alicia start arguing like they usually do…
Sameer: Alicia…its pretty late…I should be leaving…and gets up from the couch…
Alicia gets up and sees him off to the door…
Sonya: I'll be leaving and she leaves too…
Alicia comes back and sits next to Rishi and now there is an awkward silence between them…Alicia and Rishi both at the same time say something…then stop…
Rishi: u go ahead
Alicia: no u go first
Rishi: well…I forgot wht I was gonna say but I'm sleepy so I'm going to sleep…
Alicia: ok…
Rishi goes to his room while Alicia goes to her…
Alicia gets the box that Sameer gave to her…she opens the box and gets a shock…

Part 21-
Alicia looks at the present and gets a flashback…
~Flashback~
It was a couple weeks back when Sameer and Alicia were just walking down the street…there was a beautiful antique store…Alicia stops and forces Sameer to come with her…They both enter the shop…Alicia is so mesmerized by the shop and the amazing antique stuff in there…when her eyes stop at a gorgeous jewelry box…it was in a shape of heart and the color was a rusted copper…she was staring at it...Sameer comes and stands next to her…
Sameer: what r u looking @?
Alicia: this jewelry box isn't it so amazing…I think I'm in love wid it…
Sameer: yeah…it looks fine…
A old saleslady comes to them…
S: hello...r u guys interested in buying anything?
Sameer: actually we are interested in this jewelry box…
S: oh…this is a really rare one…it costs abt $1500…
Alicia thinking I cannot afford it…
Alicia: thank u very much…but I think it's too expensive for us…we'll leave now…
She takes Sameer outside with her before he could say anything…
Sameer: why didn't u buy it?
Alicia: didn't u hear her it was $1500…I can't afford it…
Sameer: but don't u like it…
Alicia: yeah but that doesn't mean I buy it…anyways forget abt it…
Present time…
Alicia looks at the jewelry box and a tear comes out of her eye…she is extremely touched right now…There is a knock @ her door…she wipes her tears…
Rishi: hey…
Alicia: hey…did u want something?
Rishi: actually I forgot to give u ur present…here u go and he hands her a picture…
Alicia looks at it…
Alicia: that is a picture of u…wht do I do wid it?
Rishi: see that's a picture of me autographed by me…so one day when I'll get famous u will already hv my autograph…who knows at that time if we will be friends or not…
Alicia sarcastically: yeah Rishi that is so true u would be so busy wid ur own work so u won't remember me…anyways thanks for the gift…
Rishi: ur welcome…I'm going to sleep…bye…
Alicia: bye
She thinks how funny Rishi is and it makes her laugh….
At the coffeehouse- Couple days later-
Rahul, Sonya, Rishi and Jay are sitting on the couch…
Alicia comes toward them wid a tray filled wid their order…
Alicia: don't tell me…Rishi u ordered a latte, and gives it to him, mocha for u Sonya, Frappuccino for Jay and of course espresso for Rahul…I'm getting good at this aren't I…
Sonya: sure u are…
Alicia leaves…while Sonya gives the mocha to Jay, Rahul gives the espresso to Rishi, Jay gives the Frappuccino to Sonya and Rishi gives the latte to Rahul…
Rahul: so who is breaking the news to her?
Rishi sipping his espresso: what news?
Sonya: that she sucks @ waitressing and she can't get any order right ever…
Rishi: well she should stop waitressing or else I am gonna stop coming here…
Jay: yeah ur right…
Sonya: I can't tell her…
Rishi: I told her the last time…so Rahul and Jay it's between u two…
Jay: wanna do rock paper scissors?
Rahul: sure…
They do it and Rahul wins…
Rahul: yes…Jay now u hv to do it…
Jay: I'll go do it…in a while…
Then they start talking abt work…after a while Alicia comes and sits with them…
Alicia: so what were u guys talking abt?
Sonya: just work…
Alicia: cool…
When her boss comes to her…
Boss: B
B: Alicia can u come here for a sec?
Alicia: but sir I'm on a break…
B: Alicia if I want I can give u a break from all this forever…
Alicia: I'm coming and goes to him…so what did u want?
B: u know how u got training when u first joined?
Alicia: yes…so u want me to teach a new waitress…who is she?
B: no…actually I want u to do it again…
Alicia: what?
B: yes…now u can go on ur break….
Alicia totally disappointed comes back and sits down…
Sonya: wht happened? U don't look good….
Rahul: yeah…wht did he say?
Alicia: he wants me to take the waitress training again…I mean do u guys think I am bad…
Everybody is thinking how to tell her…
Rishi: I think Jay wants to tell u…
Jay looks @ him wid an angry look…
Alicia: wht do u want to say?
Jay: well…I think ur not fit for being a waitress… I mean u deserve to do something better…something big…
Alicia: so u think I should quit…
Jay: yes…
Rishi: u should actually do it right now…
Alicia is left thinking now…
Will Alicia quit her job? Will she find something better to do? Are there going to be crazy events happening wid all the friends during the holiday season? To find out the answer to all these question wait for the next episode of "Living Life"…
Part 22-
Alicia: I'm doing it…
Rishi: so ur quitting?
Alicia: yes I am…
She gets up and goes to her boss…
B: so ur breaks over?
Alicia: yes
B: so get back to work…
Alicia: I'm not going back to work…
B: wht do u mean?
Alicia: I mean I'm quitting…
B in a happy voice: u mean it…
Alicia: yes…
B thinking finally…
Alicia: so when do I get my paycheck?
B: tomorrow…
Alicia: fine…
She goes back…
Alicia: I'm so happy…no more listening to my boss…this is so cool…no more cleaning the place or listening to the customer saying u brought the wrong thing….
Rishi: It's a good thing that ur happy but...
Alicia: but wht?
Rishi: well…you'll hv to pay the rent soon…do u hv enough money for tht?
Alicia: oh ur right…well I'm getting my paycheck tomorrow…but it's not enough for the rent…
Jay: well u can go to the mall and get a job there…they are always looking around for extra workers during the holidays…
Alicia: I'll probably go tomorrow…
After a while @ Sonya & Rahul's place:
Sonya: Hey…r u going to buy the Christmas tree?
Rahul in a sick voice: I don't think I feel too good…I can't go…
Sonya: r u just making it up?
Rahul coughs loudly and replies: no…I really don't feel good…I think I hv a fever…
Sonya: lemme check it…she puts her hand on his forehead…oh…u do fell hot…lemme get a thermometer…she gets and check his temperature…it's 101…u should go rest…I'll bring u some nice hot soup…
Rahul: thanks…and goes to their bedroom…
When there is a loud knock on their door…
Sonya opens the door and sees Anjali standing there with her luggage…she is shocked to see her….
Anjali excitedly: hey…guess what?
Sonya: wht?
Anjali: I'm moving in wid u guys…isn't this gr8…I was thinking all my friends are independent now and living on their own…so I should too…so I had this long talk with my dad…he said he's proud of me but he doesn't want me to live alone in this huge city…so I had to find a friend…who's better than my sw8 best friend Sonya….so I hope u don't mind…
Sonya: sure come on in…
Anjali comes in…
Anjali: oh could u get my luggage…
Sonya sure and lifts her luggage and thinks gosh it's so heavy wht does she hv in it….
Anjali: I'm gonna go relax in my room and when it's time for dinner…cud u bring my dinner in?
Sonya: no problem…
She is too busy thinking how Rahul would react listening to this…She makes him his favorite soup and goes in their bedroom…she slowly wakes Rahul up and gives him his soup…she sits beside him…and starts biting her nails…
Rahul: wht happened? Wht did u do?
Sonya: nothing why r u asking?
Rahul: well u never bite ur nails until unless ur nervous or scared abt something…
Sonya: fi9…ur right…u caught me…I hv something to tell u…
Rahul: what?
Sonya: well… u know Anjali..
Rahul: yeah
Sonya says it all together in one breath: sheisstayingwithusforawhile…
Rahul: wht? I didn't catch that…
Sonya taking a deep breath: she is staying with us for a while…
Rahul drops the soup bowl and screams: wht?
Sonya: don't scream…she'll listen to u…
Rahul in a lower voice: doesn't she hv her own huge mansion…
Sonya: yes…but she's trying to do her own independent thing…and she said she was inspired by u…
Rahul smiling: really…she said that?
Sonya: yes…
Rahul: ok…she can stay here for a few days…
Sonya: gr8…I'll make dinner…
Next Day @ the Coffee House:
Rishi is sitting on a table alone peacefully and enjoying his coffee and scone…while reading a magazine…when a really excited Alicia enters and makes Rishi gets up and she gives him a big hug…
Rishi: what was that for?
Alicia: I'm so happy…
Rishi: why?
Alicia: ok…listen to me now… u know how I went to the mall looking for a job…I had been to abt 12 stores and still didn't find any job...I was so exhausted and tired… I went to the food court to eat and it was so packed that there was no place for me to sit…except next to one guy…so I asked him and sat next to him…he saw I was really angry so….
Guy: G
G: wht happened? Are you having a bad day?
Alicia: yes…why does it concern u?
G: oh it doesn't concern me…but I was trying to be nice…
Alicia: oh I'm sorry…it's just I'm so pist off…
G: would u like to share wid me?
Alicia: ok…well I hv been looking for a job for so long and I still haven't found any…I mean it's the holidays and no one is being nice to me…
G: well…if you want I can help u
Alicia: how…
G: I think there might be some place in my office…if you want I can find out and tell you?
Alicia: really…that would be great…
They exchange their phone #'s…so he can tell her…
Present time Coffee house-
Alicia: isn't that gr8 news…
Rishi: yeah it is…
Alicia: can u believe it how some people can just be so nice and don't expect anything in return…
Rishi: don't tell me…u don't know why he is giving u a job
Alicia: why?
Rishi: ur a beautiful girl…he can easily fool u…in my opinion u should stay way from him…
Alicia: Rishi come on…not every guy is like that…
Rishi takes a sip of his coffee wid whip cream….
And Alicia looks at him and smiles…
Rishi: why r u smiling?
Alicia: just like that…anyway I hv been noticing for a long time…that girl over there wid the blue top has been looking at u for quite a while…I think u should go talk to her…
Rishi: really she has been?
Alicia: yes…
Rishi gets up and goes to the girl…
He sits across from her…
The girl looks at him and moves tongue around the top of her lip…Rishi thinks she is doing it because she thinks he's hot…He looks at her wid a smile…when the girl gets up and comes up to him…she stands right in front of him…gets a napkin and puts it above his lip…
Girl: there is some whip cream over ur lip…I hv been trying to tell u to get it off…anyway bye…
The girl leaves and you can hear Alicia laughing…
Rishi angry goes to her….
Rishi: u knew
Alicia: duh…if I didn't then why would I tell you to go to her…it was so funny
Rishi: whatever
Alicia: btw I got a pic of u wid the whip cream on my cell do u wanna see it…oh forget it I'll show it to them…they'll get a good laugh…
Rishi: no u aren't
Alicia: oh yes I will…after saying that she runs out of the coffee house…
Alicia's and Rishi's place:
Alicia goes in the kitchen and opens the freezer and sees a package of prepackaged chocolate chip cookie dough…she decides to bake them….she has never baked before in her life…she takes the cookie and put them in the oven…she had had them for abt 5 mins and it still doesn't look done to her…so she decides to crank up the temp. she puts it up to 400F…she goes in her room to check something…she has been there for a while when she smells something burning…she goes outside and sees smoke coming out from the oven…she is scared she opens it and there is fire on the tray…she reaches for water and accidentally grab Rishi's bottle of beer which makes it even more fire there…she is screaming…when Rishi comes in gets her out of the kitchen…gets a fire extinguisher sprays it and opens the window so the smoke will go out…Alicia is coughing really loudly…Rishi goes to her and screams: God…wht were u doing?
Alicia: I was trying to bake cookie
Rishi: have u ever done it before?
Alicia in a tiny voice: no
Rishi: then why were u doing it?
Alicia: I don't know
Rishi: when will u learn?
Alicia: will u please stop screaming…you're scaring me…
Rishi: listen I'm sorry…but I was scared wht if something happened to u…I wouldn't wanna lose my roomie now…would I…and hugs her…
Alicia: I'm sorry too…then they part…
Rishi: so u wanna go buy a tree for Christmas?
Alicia: but I thought Sonya and Rahul were going?
Rishi: oh u don't know Rahul is sick
Alicia: wht happened to him?
Rishi: oh…he has a fever…nothing big…so you want to go?
Alicia: sure…
Tree Store-
Alicia and Rishi are walking (btw it snowed earlier so there is a lot of snow on the ground) and are looking at the beautiful trees…
Alicia: don't u love the holiday season? Look around there are beautiful lights everywhere…family out together…little kids having snow fights…the trees…and the snow…
Rishi: I would like it if it wasn't so chilly out here…I'm freezing can u hurry up and choose a tree?
Alicia: finding a tree is hard…it has to be almost perfect…it has to be tall, full wid leaves, wid a rich jade color and when u look at it… u know it's for u…
Rishi: sure that is important…but I hope u found it before I freeze to death….
Alicia: I found it…she goes to a beautiful fir tree…isn't this perfect…
Rishi: yes…it is…let's buy it
He goes to the shopkeeper and buys the tree…with lots of effort they get the tree up and they are standing at Sonya's apt. door…
Alicia knocks at the door and Anjali opens the door…
Anjali: hey
Alicia: hey…how come your here?
Anjali: you don't know… I moved here…
Alicia: wht?
Anjali: yes…now we'll be neighbors…
Rishi: are u guys done talking? I can't hold this tree anymore…
Anjali: oh come on in….
They both enter and put the tree by the window…
Sonya: oh…that's beautiful…thanks a lot for getting it…
Alicia: anytime…
Sonya: I'll get my decorating materials…she gets beautiful ornaments and light for the tree…
Rishi: I'll do the lights…
Alicia: I wanna put the star…
Sonya: sure…hey btw how did ur finals go?
Alicia: terrible…I don't wanna talk abt it…
Alicia gets up on a stool to put the star on top of the tree…she is putting it when she loses her balance and Rishi catches her…and they both stare at each other…they hv been looking at each other for a while now…when Sonya notices and starts coughing…Rishi puts her down and Alicia puts the star up with Rishi holding her so she doesn't fall this time…They all decorate it together…the final result looked wonderful…Sonya made hot chocolate for everyone and they all drank it…while looking at it snow outside…
Couple days later-
There is a commotion going in the hall…Alicia hears loud noises she goes outside to check it when she hears…some guy scream...
Guy: G
G: Aly lives here…I know she does…go call her…
Alicia recognizes this voice and is scared…
