"Guys!! GUYSS!!" Armaan came in the locker room shouting with joy.

"Kya hua, Armaan?" Ridhima asked worried.

"Are basket'chinta ki koi baat nahin hain'guess what? I guess Dr. Modi isn't all that bad after all!"

Rahul spun around to face Armaan. "Armaan'mera dost'mera yaar'yeh kya hua tumko?"

"Kyun? Kya hua Rahul?" Armaan asked confused. "What the hell is wrong with me?"

"Yahin to mein pooch raha hoon!" Rahul exclaimed. "First of all ' you said Doctor Modi. And second of all ' tumne kahan that he is a nice guy?!"

Armaan rolled his eyes. "Rahul'I didn't say he was nice. I said he wasn't bad. And Basket ' woh suspension orders mere liye nahin the!"

"Suspention orders?" Anjali asked.

"Yea man'whats this all about?" Atul added.

Armaan ignored them and walked to Ridhima. "It was kind of weird. Mein wahan gaya tab Dr. Modi was really mad and all. And he yelled at me saying that I got the orders for not showing respect to my peers. Par'after like 5 minutes'when Nikki came in'he was like'I'm sorry'suspention orders tumhare liye nahin hai. But shouldn't he have known who the orders were for since he sent them?"

Rahul looked at him with a blank face. "I dunno man'but it;d have been nice to have an Armaan-free week."

"Rahul!" Muskaan exclaimed hitting him on the shoulder. "Yaar ' clam down."

"Are mein tera yaar nahin dildaar hoon!!" Rahul replied grinning at his beloved.

Muskaan blushed and looked away as Atul cleared his throat. "Guys," Atul said. "Relax'yeh sab shaadi ke baad bhi ho sakta hai."

"Exactly guys," Anjali added. "Anyways, Armaan, it doesn't matter that Modi was confused. It matters ke ab tum suspended nahin ho. So relax."

"Haan Armaan," Ridhima spoke. "Di sahi hai. Maine kahan thana ke koi misunderstanding hui hogi?"

Armaan smiled. "Yea'aur aaj mein actually us'Modi se aache pesh aaya.."

"I told you Armaan," Ridhima argued. "Woh bhure nahin hai."

"Yea'I guess he's alright."

Rahul's eyes widened. "Armaan'kya main tumse baat kar sakta hoon? Akele mein!?"

Armaan looked from Rahul to Muskaan and back to Rahul. "Rahul yaar'at least Muskaan ke samne to na kaho! Just imagine ' what will she do when she find our that me and you are -"

"Shut up Armaan," Rahul interrupted rolling his eyes and turning to Muskaan. "Don't worry, baby, aisa kuch nahin hai."

Muskaan started giggling as she walked out of the room towards General Ward.

Rahul pushed Armaan in the change room and closed the curtain.

"Rahul, abe yaar'ye tu kya kar raha hai!?" Armaan exclaimed. "Mere shaadi Abhi paaki bhi nahin hui hai!"

"Armaan! How can yu forgive Modi so easily!? Aur Lonavla mein kya hua tha? Nikki aise jaldi wapas kyun aa gayi!?

"Relax dude," Armaan interrupted. He slowly narrated the whole story to Rahul.

"You're tolerating him for Ridhima!?" Rahul exclaimed laughing.

"Shut up man!" Armaan retorted as the announcement came on: "All interns please report to the Dr. Keerti immediately."

"Are yaar," Rahul sighed. "Ab kya chahti hai yeh Hitler!?"

All the interns hurried to the front hoping that everything was alright.

"Kya hua, Dr. Keerti?" Ridhima asked worried. "Is tarah achanak?"

Dr. Keetri looked at the interns and smiled. "Gabhrane ki koi baat nahin, doctors. Abhi Dr. Modi aate hi honge aur woh aap saab ko new deenge."

"News?" Anjali asked. "Kaise news?"

"Just wait Dr. Anjali" Dr. Shubhankar answered. "Aur itna intazaar bhi nahin karna padenga aapko. Dr. Modi aa gaye."

All the interns turned to look at Dr. Modi.

I know what's happening. Nikki thought. Lekin kaun hai mujhe nahin pata'I hope Abhi made the right decision. I mean'everyone just started liking him'aur yeh aapna stupid chance gaava na de'agar galat decision liye isne'to saab phir se isko nafrat karne lagenge.

"Doctors," Abhi said smiling. "We wanted to inform you that internship is coming to an end. And as you all know that at the end of internship, the doctor with the most points gets to be the senior doctor at Sanjeevni Hospital."

"Haan doctors," Dr. Keetri continued. "This is what we wanted to annonce ' which doctor is confiemed to be the new resident doctor."

"But...you all will have to wait one more day for this to uncover," Abhi interrupted.

All the doctors looked at each other confused.

"Kyun, Dr. Modi?" Dr. Keetri asked. "Koi problem?"

Abhi looked down. "Dr. Keetri'I know we discussed who the resident doctor should be, but I think Dr. Shashank has a greater right to decide than we do. After all ' he is considered to be the head of Sanjeevni ' not me. And he does know the interns better than I do. So I want to discuss our decision with him before we announce it."

Ridhima looked up at Abhi and grinned. "Sach, Dr. Modi?" she asked. "Aap sach mein Papa ko ' I mean'Dr. Shashank ko puchenge?"

Abhi smiled back. "Haan Dr. Ridhima. After all ' I'm just substituting for a while. Kal jab mujhe koi aur hospital mein jaana padenga tab unko hi aap ke saath kaam karna hai. So he has the right to decide."

Armaan hugged Ridhima tightly and thought. Saach mein'yeh Modi bhura nahin hain.

Rahul smiled too. "I guess you are pretty cool Dr. Modi."

"Errmm'thanks, Dr. Rahul," Abhi said smiling. It was a different feeling. Everyone was being'nice to him. "And guys ' currently ' we will only be announcing one name. This is going to be the doctor that is confirmed. But that does not mean that the other doctors do not get a chance. The rest of you will have to work harder until the end of your exams and then only will we have decided if you get to stay in Sanjeevni or not."

"Okay, Dr. Modi," Atul said happily.

"No problem, Sir," Muskaan added. "Take your time."

All the interns were very happy.

"Let's celebrate guys!" Armaan exclaimed once the senior doctors were gone.

"Yea guys," Anjali agreed. "It's a perfect opportunity! Internship is coming to an end and papa is getting to decide! I think its great Modi is giving him the respect!"

"Haan!" Nikki smiled. "Let's go to watch a movie. Tonight. How about it?"

"Perfect!" Rahul agreed.

"Guys ' "Ridhima started. "I think we should invite Dr. Modi to watch the movie with us."

Nikki looked at Ridhima with a surprised expression and saw that Ridhima, who was looking back at her, winked at Nikki's expression.

"Don't you agree, Nikki?" Ridhima asked.

This is a perfect opportunity for Nikki to spend more time with him. This way ' she'll be able to find out if she likes him or not!

"Ermm'yea," Nikki agreed awkwardly.

This is a good idea. Nikki thought. It's a perfect chance for me and Abhi to confess our relationship. And if not confess ' at least Armaan and Rahul can get to know Abhi more and give him a chance.

"Okay," Armaan agreed. Modi isn't that bad. Armaan thought. I guess I can try to get to know him a bit better.

"Sure," Rahul agreed grinning. Kuch to baat hai'jo Nikki humse chupa rahi hai. And I can only find out what it is when I get to know Modi a bit better. I guess he really isn't that bad. But still ' there is a piece missing in this puzzle.

"Tum usko invite kar lo, Nikki," Atul said. "Tab tak mein ek aache movie ki tickets book kar leta hoon."

Everyone agreed to meet after their dutied ended to plan out their evening.

Abhi starred at his files, which lay in front of him on the desk. Wow. Saab mujhe actually ek chance de rahe hai. Aur Nikki bhi bahut khush hai. She'll be so happy when Armaan and Rahul actually accept me as their friend. Par ' humko saach jaldi baata dena chahiye. If they find out from somewhere else ' it'll cause a big commotion.

"Abhi!" Nikki exclaimed running in his office. "Guess what?!"

"Kya hua, Nikki?" Abhi asked hugging her. "What's the happy news?"

"Armaan aur Rahul chahte hai ke tum hamari saath movie deekhne chalo. Today evening!"

"Really?" Abhi asked surprised. "That's great. I think they are actually starting to like and accept me!"

"I know, sweety!" Nikki answered. "And that's why I am super duper happy!"

Nikki hugged Abhi tightly and gave him a quick kiss on his lips. "Ab aaj jaldi kaam finish karke ghar aana. Aur phir hum saath jaayenge."

As Nikki was about to leave, Abhi pulled her arm and twirled her back to him. "And where do you think you're going roght now?"

Nikki gulped as Abhi's head came closer and closer and closer to hers. She closed her eyes as his lips reached hers. And soon ' they were lost in each other. Nikki wuickly pushed Abhi away.

"Abhi!" she exclaimed. "Yeh tum kya kar rahe ho!? Agaar kissine dekh liye to!?"

Abhi chuckled. "To jab tumne mujhe kiss kiya'tab yeh nahi soocha? Aur waise bhi'you're my lovely wife. I think ke mujhe itna haq to hai."

Nikki blushed as she made her way out of Abhi's cabin towards her duty in the General Ward.

Soon, it was evening. The interns had made a plan of watching a movie and then having dinner.

"Remember Abhi!" Nikki exclaimed. "Aapna ghusa kabu mein rakhna. Aur yeh shirt'collars thik karo!"

"Relax baby!" Abhi said. "It'll be fine. Aur waise bhi'I always look handsome with you by my side."

Nikki smiled. Abhi always said the right thing at the right time.

"Ab chaloo!" Nikki said pushing him out of the door.

When the couple got to the theatre, the rest of the interns were already there.

"Hey!" Muskaan said. "You guys made it!"

"And right in time," Armaan greeted politely. "Lets go now."

After a quick hello to each other, the interns went inside to watch the movie.

"Are yaar!" Atul moaned. "Saari seats humme ek saath nahin mili hai."

"What!?" Ridhima exclaimed.

"Atul tum koi bhi kaam thik se nahin kar saakte kya?" Muskaan groaned.

"Shut up Muskaan," Anjali interrupted. "Mistakes happen."

"Let me see the tickets Atul," Armaan asked.

"Sure," Atul said apologetically. "There are eight of us'and threee of the tickets are separate."

"Koi baat nahin," Nikki said. "Dr. Modi, Armaan aur Rahul separate beth sakta hai'right guys?"

"NO!" Armaan and Rahul said together.

"Yea'" Rahul continued. "Mujhe Muskaan ke saath bethna hai."

"Aur mujhe Ridhima ke saath!" Armaan added.

Nikki sighed. "Thik hai'to phir mein separate bethti hoon."

"Okay," Anjali said. "Me and Atul will join you."

Abhi looked around uncomfortable. "Umm'Dr. Anjali? I'll feel a bit weird sitting beside these four. I mean'with them being couples and all'so can I sit separately?"

Atul laughed. "No problem Dr. Modi. It's totally natural. We were uncomfortable too at first. But now we're used to it. I can trade with you."

"Fine then," Nikki said sighing. "Lets go now'before the movie ends!"

The interns hurried in the theatre along with their senior doctor and took their seats.

Nikki took a seat between Anjali and Abhi. Yeh Abhi bhi na'Nikki thought. He was supposed to get to know Armaan and Rahul better! Par yeh ' ugh!

Abhi slowly slid his hand into Nikki's as she turned to look at him. "Tum pagal ho gaye ho, Abhi?" she whispered. "You are here to get to know Armaan and Rahul better. AUr tum yahan beth ke romantic ho rahe ho?"

Abhi turned to look at Nikki. "Thik hai, Your Highness. Mein Abhi tumhare bodyguards ke paas jaata hoon'aur unke saath flirt karta hoon. Is that good?"

"Shut up Abhi!"

"Waise'idea aacha hain'at least this way I can find out if they are straight or not."

"Abhi!" she angrily whispered.

"Are yaar'how exactly am I supposed to get to know then during a movie!? I mean ' we cant even talk properly!"

"SHH!" Anjali whispered. "Shut up you guys! Its actually an interesting movie!"

Nikki and Abhi hushed up as Abhi slid his hand back in Nikki's.

Ridhima looked down at the couple and smiled. Abhi was just handing Nikki his handkerchief as she was crying due to the movie's end. Now we're getting somewhere!

As the group made there way to the restaurant, they teased Nikki about how her make up was all ruined and how emotional she got.

"Mera rumal (handkerchief) to dekho!" Abhi exclaimed taking it out of his pocket. "It's all covered with makeup!"

Everyone laughed except Nikki. "Shut up Dr. Modi."

"Oh come on Nikki!" Abhi exclaimed. "Mein to sirf mazak kar raha tha!"

Nikki walked away.

"Nikki! You're being suck a child!"

"Haan. Haan." Nikki said turning to face him. "You get all my friends teamed up against me and then you say I'm acting like a child!"

"Nikki just forgive me please!" Abhi said desperately. Nikki hadn't spoken to Abhi since the makeup joke.

"Ridhima," Armaan said looking at Abhi and Nikki. "Don't you think we should tell Nikki to buzz of a little. I swear'she is so mad at him!"

Ridhima smiled. Pyar mein aisa hi hota hai.

"No its okay, Armaan," Ridhima answered. "I think she'll get over this childish problem."

Armaan smiled as the music changed to slow dancing. "Waise'basket? Wanna dance?"

Ridhima slowly slib her hand in his as they both walked to the dance floor.

Abhi looked at Armaan and Ridhima on the dance floor. Soon they were accompanied by the two our pairs of Rahul and Muskaan and Atul and Anjali.

"I swear Nikki," Abhi said moaning. "If you don't forgive me'I'll'I'll'umm'I'll tell everyone that I love you."

Nikki rolled her eyes as Abhi went down on his knees.

"Abhi!" she exclaimed. "Yeh tum kya kar rahe ho!? Get up! Koi dekh lega!"

"Nikki'will do please dance with me?"

Nikki quickly grabbed Abhi's hand and pulled him to the dance floor.

"Blackmail kar raha hai," she mumbled.

Abhi slowly lifted Nikki's chin and whispered. "I love you."

Nikki heart beat suddenly fastened as it usually did when Abhi said those three words.

Abhi smiled.

"I hate you, Abhi!" Nikki moaned. "Tum hamesha aisa karte ho."

"I love you," Abhi repeated waiting for the correct response.

Nikki sighed and smiled. "I love you too baby!"

The next day all the interns ran in front of Abhi's office at the beginning of the day.

"Dr. Modi?" Muskaan said. "Is the announcement ready?"

Abhi smiled. "Yes it is'I talked to Dr. Shashank early today morning and we all made the same decision."

"What's the decision?" Armaan asked. "Come on man, Modi! Suspense create maat karo!"

Abhi's smiled turned into a grin as he shot Nikki a smile.

Dr. Keerti turned to face the interns and uncovered the long awaited name. "Dr. Nikita has been confimed to become a resident doctor at Sanjeevni."

Everyone cheered as hugged and congratulated Nikki!

"Wow Nikki!" Muskaan exclaimed. "Congrats man!"

Armaan and Rahul gave her a huge hug and picked her up as Abhi shot her a sweet I-Love-You-A-Lot look which clearly reflected how proud he was of her.

After Abhi walked away back to his work, Armaan and Rahul put Nikki back down.

"Lets go celebrate again!" Armaan exclaimed. "To the canteen!"

As Nikki started to walk, her legs felt a bit wobbly. And soon ' they gave up on her as she came falling down into Armaan's arms.
