Nikki gave Abhi an encouraging smile as she started driving the car. Abhi kitne ghuse mein hain. Par mein bhi kya karti? Ek hafte ke liye mujhe jana hai'Ek hafta'How is time going to pass? Abhi ke bina'ek hafta'

"Nikki!!" a voice broke into her thought bubble.

"Huh?" Nikki said looking up. "Kya hua?"

"Kuch nahin'" Ridhima answered slowly. "Tum kya sooch rahi thi? Kal ke bare mein?"

"Nahin," Nikki replied without thinking.

"To phir kya sooch rahi thi?"

Nikki thought for a second. Should she tell Ridhima? Ridhima would understand. It would also be easier telling Armaan if Ridhima could help. But something was holding her back.

Par Ridhima meri best friend nahin hain. I mean'yea'she is a really good friend...but'Armaan and Rahul have the right to know first. Haan'no matter how difficult'in this case impossible'it is'I have to tell them first.

"Nikki'?" Ridhima called again. "Yeh tum kahan kho jati ho bar bar?"

"Ridhima mein'"

"Dekho Nikki, agar tumhe lagta hai ke tum mujhe hurt karogi Armaan ke bare mein kuch kehke'then it's definitely okay. Tum mujhe kuch bhi keh sakti ho. Because I know how difficult Armaan is to deal with. So don't worry."

"Thanks Ridhima."

Ridhima smiled at Nikki. Kuch to hai jo isse pareshan kar raha hai. Lekin mein usse force karna nahin chahti. Agar woh mujhe batana chahti hai'to mein uski help definitely karungi.

As the girls reached Lonavla, they found a familiar red SUV parked in the front of the house.

"Hello ladies!" Armaan called from behind them.

"Armaan!?" Nikki gasped. "Tum'? Yahan'? Kaise'? Kyun'?"

"Relax Niks," Armaan replied in his 'cool' way. "Mein Dr. Keerti se pooch ke aaya hoon. Thoda bahut convincing karna pada'lekin Dr. Shubhankar ki help se impossible se possible kar diya."

Ridhima scowled at Armaan as she walked to the trunk to get hold of her bags.

"Well Niks'tumhe yahan Dr. Keerti ne sab ki check up ki liye bheja tha'right?"

"Yes Armaan..kyun?" Nikki replied.

"Well I'm going to help you now. Basket'I mean'Dr. Ridhima Shashank Gupta'jahan tak saab surgery ka kaam nahin pata thi woh Lonavla ki doctor ke saath'tab tak humme yahan rehna hoga. Aur Dr Keerti ne kaha hain ke mein tumhara partner hoon."

"Um'thanks?"

"Your very welcome," Armaan replied starring at Ridhima, who was walking towards the door.

"Ab tum batao'kya hua'?" Nikki asked trying her best not to laugh.

"Kuch nahin'" Armaan answered sighing. "Woh mujhse naraz hai."

"I don't think that's very surprising. Tum hamesha sab ko naraz hi kar dete ho."

"Lekin mein hi baad mein sab ko mana leta hoon na?"

"Haan haan'sure. Lekin is baar tumne kya kiya uske saath?"

"Uske saath nahin," Armaan replied sternly. "Tumhare saath. She thinks what I did last night was wrong."

Nikki looked around uncomfortably. "Well'it was wrong. I think."

"To mujhe kyun lagta hai ke tum kuch chupa rehi ho mujhse aur Rahul se?"

Nikki sighed. "Dekho Armaan'Abhi behas karne ka mood nehin hai mera. I'm not used to driving for so long and my body hurts. Hum kal baat karenge."

Nikki quickly grabbed her bag and walked in.

"Mere sawal ka jawab bhi nahin diya'" Armaan said slowly. "Lekin mein to pata laga kar hi rahunga."

Nikki woke up the next morning as the sunlight glittered down her window. The night had been unusually cold without Abhi's affectionate embrace. "Good morning baby," she muttered smiling as she got up to her feet and reached for her i-Phone.

"Good morning sweetheart," Abhi greeted her. "Had a good sleep?"

"Bilkul nahin'" Nikki replied frowning.

"Yeh udas chera tumhe bilkul suit nahin karta'especially in the morning. Now, replace it with a smile."

Despite her angriness, Nikki's lips widened into an immense smile. "I miss you, baby," she whispered slowly as she walked to open the window.

"I miss you too sweety. Par mein kya kar sakta hoon? Agar maine kuch kiya bhi hota'to tumhare do bodyguards mera khun kar dete."

"Shut up idiot. Woh dono itne bhi bhure nahin hai. They're my best friends. Aur tumhe unke bare mein kuch bhi bhura kehne ka koi haq nahin hain."

"Sure sure. Karo unki tarafdari. Main to aap ka kuch nahin lagta. Rahul aur Armaan ke jaise best friends to kabhi nahi milte'par mere jaisa pati to har dukan pe milta hai. Hai na?"

"Are yaar'maine aisa kab kaha?"

Abhi laughed. "Mazak kar raha hoon baba'ab mujhe jana hoga. Woh nurse knock kar rahi hai kuch files ke saath. Bye sweetheart. Love you."

Nikki quickly ran out to find Armaan. Are yaar'Abhi ne to mujhe late hi kara diya. Dosri baar phone karne ki kya zarurat thi? Aur is waqt pe? Jab ke usse maloom hai ke Armaan mujhpe nazar rakh raha hai.

However'as Nikki reached her reporting station'Armaan didn't look at all like he had missed her. He was probably going to wish that Nikki had been even more late than she was. There he was'holding Ridhima by the waist with one hand and removing her hair from the front of her face with the other.

Nikki smiled. I guess all their problems are sorted out. Ab baki rahi sirf mein'jaane kab mein unko sach bata paungi.

She snapped out of her thoughts and loudly cleared her throat to get Armaan's attention. Armaan and Ridhima quickly stepped away from each other and looked away, embarrassed.

"Tum, uh', late kyun ho?" Armaan asked still lost in thoughts about Ridhima.

"Chaho to aur late aa sakti ho'" Nikki said slowly smiling and winking.

"Koi zarurat nahin hai. Chala ab kam kare?"

"Haan chalo'mein kahan kisike saath busy hoon?"

Ridhima looked away blushing as Nikki and Armaan made their way to their patients.

Armaan walked around the camp trying to find Ridhima. Kahan hai yeh Basket? Phone bhi nahin utha rahi yeh! He was so irritated. Shayad uske room mein hogi. Check karta hoon.

Armaan made way to the girls' bedroom. As he was about to knock on the door, he heard a familiar voice.

"Nahin, Abhi. Just stay there. Mein tumko waise bhi har do ghante phone karti hoon. Aur agar tum yahan aa gaye, to Armaan phirse shak karne lagega."

Armaan opened his eyes wide as he moved over to the open window of the room. He saw Nikki laying on her bed, jolding the phone. She was definitely talking to Abhi. She'd even said his name!

I knew it! Armaan said to himself. Mujhe pata tha in dono ke beech mein kuch chal raha hai! Lekin ab mein kisko batao!? Ridhima to meri koi bhi baat sunne wali nahin hai. Aur Nikki se behas karne ke koi zarurat nahin hai. Woh to obviously mana kardegi. Lekin koshish to karni padegi!

As soon as Nikki's phone call ended, Armaan barged in the room to start his interrogation.

"Woh kiske saath baat kar rahi thi?" he asked strictly.

"Woh!?" Nikki said surprised as Armaan's cold behaviour. "Woh to meri ek dost thi!"

"Jiska naam Abhi hai!?"

"What is wrong with you!? Mein jiske bhi saath baat karu'usme tumhe kya problem hai!?"

"Nikki'.tum meri best friend ho! Aur mein nahin chahta ke tum kissi aise waise insaan ke saath dosti karo."

"Lekin Armaan mein koi paanch saal ki bachi nahin hoon! I know who is good and who isn't!"

"Dekho Nikki'abhi tum ghuse mein ho. Thodi der tum thande demag se soocho aur phir tumhe lagega ke mein sahi hoon."

"Nahin Armaan. is bar tum sahi nahin ho. Aur waise bhi tum sirf mere dost ho'mere zindagi ke har faasle tum nahin kar sakte."

"Nikki try to understand. Abhimanyu Modi aacha nahin hai!"

"Yeh baath ab Abhimanyu Modi ke nahin hai Armaan! I'm just saying that I can make my own decisions. Mujhe aapne faasle karne ka haq hai! Aur jahan tak Abhi ki baat hai'to woh itna bhi bhura nahin hai. Tumko aur Rahul ko usko moka dena hi nahin hai. So don't go telling me whats right and what is wrong!"

"Nikki. Tumhe jo faasle karne hai karo'lekin hum us modi se tumhe door hi le jayenge."

Now Nikki's eyes were starting to get teary. The mere idea of being taken away from Abhi scared her. She didn't like hearing all bad things about her husband from her best friends. But she knew'that if she said the truth right now'Armaan would lose his temper and would refuse to hear the rest. She didn't want to lose her friends as long as it was possible.

Nikki didn't know what to say next or how to argue back. She picked up her phone and left the room.

"Armaan how could you!?" Ridhima yelled.

"Its not my fault! Woh meri baat hi nahin sun rahi thi!" Armaan retorted.

"No. You had no right to start asking questions like that. Agar woh tumhe batana chahti thi'to woh tumko bata chuki hoti."

"Whatever Ridhima."

"Ab'kya karoge Armaan. Mujhe kuch pata nahin'ab Nikki kahan hogi? Her clothes are gone'she is gone'she wont pick up her phone. And it's all your fault!"

" I know! Tumne Rahul ko phone kiya? Woh Sanjeevni pohoch gayi?"

"Haan. Lekin woh wahan nahin hai."

"Aur Modi? Woh Sanjeevni mein hai'ya phir woh kahin bahar gaya hai?"

"Shut up Armaan. Nikki unke saath nahin ho sakti'kyun ki Dr. Modi kal hi kuch zaruri kam ke liye nikal gaye the."

"So what? They can still be together right now. They've been calling each other every two hours, remember!?"

"Armaan'that's none of your business. She is an adult now. And I'm sure she is safe and she knows what she is doing. Aur woh phir phone karengi'so don't worry!"

Armaan sighed. Nikki, tum kahan ho!?
