And that brought us to where we are now. Still in Kripa's apartment, but Zaib there as well, and Kripa a doctor while Zaib joined the FBI. They were a highly successful and popular couple these days. Kripa looked down at the ring finger on her left hand, and saw the large ring Kripa was wearing, proving their engagement.

Kripa stared at Zaib again, and sighed. I do thank Angad for this… thought Kripa. He was right, it was for the best….

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ~*~*~*~*~

Prithvi had woken abruptly as well, he had also dreamed something, but it was different. No romance, just a fearful dream. A dream that Prithvi knew would visit him forever for the rest of his life.

Everyone knew what happened, but they weren't sure how.

The dream goes as follows:

The room was dark, but yet he could still see the eyes. He hated those eyes. Tiny slits of cold gray. Looking into them sent shivers up Prithvi's spine, almost with a passion.

Prithvi felt almost powerless. His gun was only limp in his hand, yet the head enemy leader didn't manage to seize it. So many people Prithvi had cared about: dead. Rahul, Karthik, Karan…all of them, dead.

And it was because of this slimy bas***d. Right here.

The only ones on this mission who seamed to be alive were himself, Alliyah, yes Alliyah insisted on coming to help, Josh…

And Angad.

Angad was as good as dead though, he was bleeding at the hip, and could barely speak. Prithvi was the only one who knew that Angad was on the mission, beside Kripa.

"Come on…Prithvi… do it…" mumbled Angad.

"I don't know" whispered Prithvi as he kneeled by Angad's body.

"I don't know, anything right now Prithvi, but I know one thing for sure. You have to finish him off. You have to! This man is the cause of so many deaths. Please. Even though he is your father you have to kill him. For me, for Alliyah, for…..Kripa…" breathed Angad. Prithvi nodded, and pointed his sniper at his father/the enemy, who was standing in the middle of the room.

"What're you going to do to me, Prithvi? You can't kill me. What are you going to do with me?" hissed his dad.

"You're right, I can't. I could lose, but I know that I could take a chance…" said Prithvi.

"Really? What 'chance' might that be?" asked his dad.

A large, thundering sound came as Prithvi shot bullet after bullet at his 'father', and how he hated calling that filthy man his father. The enemy screamed… screamed like he had actually seen what he looked like.

When the sound vanished, the enemy's body was limp on the ground.

Prithvi saw that his father didn't stir.

He's dead… thought Prithvi.

That is the dream, and how exact it was to what really happened.

Angad managed to get better quickly, and he was left with a scar as well, but it was only a long line across his chin. Prithvi promised he would never tell Kripa about what had happened to him if he, Prithvi, ever came face to face with Kripa again, and Prithvi kept that promise. That promise was still unbroken.

That was six years ago.

Prithvi sat up, put on his glasses, and looked around the room. He glanced at his plaque for Honor: First Class, as well as a newspaper's number one most heroic people. Prithvi, also took a long, hard look at his picture of himself, Angad, and Kripa.

"Has it really been all this time?"

***

Angad Khanna, young but stressed, entered the living room of his new home that he had just recently bought in the country. He sold his old home after the disappearance of Kripa, and had a new plantation-style home built in the English country-side. The peace and quiet was exactly what he needed. His life hadn't exactly been peaceful for a while.

Angad rubbed his chin. I need to shave… he thought. He let his index finger trace the scar on his chin that he had gotten from the war, if you could call it a war.

All for her… thought the young man.

He picked up the news paper sitting on the coffee table. He figured his ever-so faithful mailman must have brought it in for him. Angad picked up the paper, and saw a large photo of an engaged couple. Angad didn't think of this thoroughly until he saw who the bride to be was.

It was her. Her and Zaib Kapoor were engaged. Angad was clueless to this fact, and read the article to learn more.

Ms. Kripa Sharma, world renowned doctor at hospitals, has been engaged to new FBI agent, Mr. Zaib Kapoor, for the past four years, but due to their want for financial success, the couple chose to put off their wedding.

The two had been friends since their first year at school, and were often seen with one, Prithvi. Although there was constant speculation to the rumor, Ms. Sharma, along with Mr. Prithvi assure the London Times that there is absolutely no truth to the rumor of their supposed 'relationship' at school.

"Kripa and I had always been very close friends…" states Prithvi, "But I always knew that Kripa and….ughhh… An-Zaib were meant to be."

The Kapoor-Sharma wedding is planned to be the event of the year, and there is a great chance that the London Times will be attending the wedding of two of the world's greatest heroes of the day.

Angad's eyes began to water at the sight of Kripa with Zaib. Of course, what else could Angad expect? Kripa could not hold on to him forever, just as he felt he had to let go also.

But there was a large part of Angad Khanna that couldn't let go. His heart still pounded every time he saw a photograph of Kripa in the paper, for whatever reason. Every time he heard her name when making withdrawals at the bank, his head would turn sharply, but he always managed to turn away. He rubbed the scar on his chin again, and a time that seemed so recent dawned on him.

*Flashback*

"You did it, Prithvi," gasped Angad. Prithvi's head turned sharply to face Angad.

"He's dead! The slimy bas***d is dead!" yelled Angad as he tried to get up, but his side began to pain him. Prithvi ran over, and helped him up.

"Come on, Angad. You need to get to the nearest hospital…" said Prithvi.

Angad was greeted by Doctor Patel, he was sure he went to school with her, but didn't question it. She mended him up, and made it clear that the scar on his chin would always be there. Angad accepted the fact, and remained sitting for a moment longer along with Prithvi.

"Prithvi, before you go," began Angad as Prithvi attempted to speak with a recently arrived Alliyah. "Just, please, don't tell Kripa about this. I don't want her bothered. She'll go mental."

Prithvi examined Angad once again, but nodded, and left to speak with Alliyah about the situation with Angad.

"All of it, for Kripa…" mumbled Angad to himself as he stood up to sign out of the hospital.

*Reality*

I wonder if he ever told her… thought Angad. He looked through his old photo album quickly to see if he could find any photographs of himself and Kripa. And he did. There was only one that stood out to him, and it was very obvious that the two had to take the picture themselves.

The two were giggling, Angad could see. Angad's arm seemed to be holding the photograph up, and Angad assumed that that was when he was holding the camera.

Kripa looked so young in that photo, and she had been so beautiful at the time.

Angad then looked at the photo of Kripa in London Times, and saw that she had only grown more beautiful. His heart pained him when he remembered their final meeting.

I'll never forget you…

And he certainly never did. Although Angad had many girlfriends since the war, none of them really meant anything. Angad considered them as sort of a, comfort. He wished he could figure out what it was that made him love Kripa so much, and if whatever it was as strong as he felt, why had he let her go? Why couldn't he be selfish like Kripa wished him to be? She had begged and pleaded for him to stay, to love her. And no matter how much he wanted to, something still stopped him. Something told him it was better for them if he went on this mission.

I still love her. Seven years, all this time… thought Angad.

Angad decided to cut out the picture of Kripa, leaving Zaib out of the photograph, and placed it right next to their photo of themselves.

Angad then threw the paper in the trash, and slammed the photo album shut. He then reached into his liquor cabinet, and took a swig of scotch.

"Yep. Just perfect," said Angad to himself as he took his swig of the slightly intoxicating beverage.

A note from me: Boring part isn't it? I know I haven't continued for centuries and I am once again really sorry for that!! Everything has been really busy, hectic, and stressing. I barely get time to do anything. I know this part was short even though I promised you a long one, and I am working on it! In this 'small' part you get to see what Angad has been doing and where he has, I guess you could say, been all these years. Forewarning Prithvi knowing about Angad will play a role in parts later to come. (hint hint) Your comments are helping me decide if I should pull an ekta…(lol)…
