CHAPTER 6(A)

This girl is getting on my nerves..uurrrrrgghhhh why can't I stop thinking abt her?!!!

S wud think daily, as he wud sit at the table having his dinner with kashish and her whole family. Dinner and sometimes at breakfast too was the only time he was able to catch a glimpse of her.

Since tht party 3 weeks ago they had hardly talked. she always seemed to b in a great hurry?even though he had all his meals at the Sinha house (he went back to his own place only to sleep), the only time he saw her arnd was at meal times or talking to her father abt something, and she always leave as soon as he wud come.....is she trying to avoid me or is she just too busy? uncle did say something abt her getting grilled at her new job to test her competence.... poor soul, working hard like this?.she deserved a break.. may be I shud take her out on a date sometime😈.... Sujal grinned in his thoughts

"If u r smiling like this, u must b pretty confident u r gonna win this one too huh?" Piyush broke into his thoughts, "but I hate to break it to u. U are going down this time, v have an airtight case, no way can u save tht criminal's skin now"

S(sarcastically)-"nice to meet u too Piyush, I see u have prepared well, but don't get ur hopes high there is no way u can win this. Coz I know-"

Bailiff - "all rise! The judge is here"

And so the case began.. S was defending Deepak who was accused of murder his wife Deepali by beating her senseless first and then tying a rope to her leg and drowning her in the swimming pool. As the prosecution lawyer Piyush had a strong case. It had been already proved tht Deepak had been infidel with his wife so..... he clearly had the motivation and the opportunity for committing the crime, the circumstantial evidence were strong enough to land him with a 15 yr in jail without bail. But sujal believed in Deepak's innocence so he was doing his best to save him and for the first time he feared losing a case....

P-"My next and last prosecution witness is Miss Sinha. Mam please step in, take the oath and state ur name and post"

As an elegantly dressed lady in formals came into the stand Sujal's eye flew wide open in surprise- What the hell is kashish doing here?😲 That too as a PROSECUTION witness??? If she knows something abt the case she shud have told us!! She shud b testifying on our behalf!! 😡Not as that idiot Piyush's witness. Dammit what am I gonna do now😡

Sujal thought all this in silent anger as k took the oath gave her name and stated her post as the head assistant of the coroners department.

P-What do the marks on the decease suggest Miss Sinha?

S-Objection! The ques. is leading!!

Judge- Sustain! Please ask to the point ques. Mr piyush.

P-Sorry ur honor.. were there any marks on the victim

K-Yes, several actually. There were marks on her face right shoulder .....blah blah

P- Wud u tell the court what cud these marks have been made from?

K- The dark spots which u see on her are due to her getting struck by some thing heavy.. 0ther than tht the scars on her face is of human nails... and she had been hit by something long, narrow and sharp on her back.

P-Did u do an analysis for presence of any other human's tissue on her body?

K-Yes we did. The skin under nails was her own along with her husband's and we found her a piece of her husbands nail embedded in her shoulder. Also the cane which made the marks on her back was found to b her husbands and she had been struck against the wall and hit by her husband's belt. And we also found an imprint of her husband's engagement ring on her face.

P- Looking at all the marks and the things they were made with wud u say tht they cud have been done by an outsider....

K- Only if he had access to Mr. Deepak's ring, belt, skin and nails.

😆A mild laugh was heard in the court

p- So cud it said tht these marks couldn't have been made by an outsider?

S-Objection as conclusive..

Judge- overruled the ans. wud b a deduction based on her findings, please ans. the ques. Miss Sinha.

K-If it is impossible to acquire these personal belongings of Mr. Deepak by any outsider, then no one from outside cud have killed Mrs. Deepali..

P- It cud b said tht no one else than mr. Deepak cud have made those marks?

s-objec-

K- Yes, it can b said so, as only he had the complete access to all these things.

P- ur witness!😃(with a triumphant smile)

S frowned at k why the hell did she ans. tht? Whose side was she on? Didn't she care tht this innocent man wud go to jail for a crime he didn't commit?😡 Help me god!!!

S(with a convincing fake polite smile😳)-Miss Kashish how are u doing today?

K- Very well thanku😳.

K waited anxiously for s to cross examine her.. she knew it wasn't going to be pleasant.. he looked mighty angry. But what cud she do? She told the truth, she cudnt lie for his reputation! It was against her values and law!.. My god help me face him please?

S- U look pretty tired, r u having enough rest from ur work?

K- I..yah..um.yes..

P-ur honor Mr. Grewal is wasting courts precious time!

J- If u cud get along wit ur questioning and exchange pleasantries later mr grewal?

S-Yes of course ur honor.. i was just making sure tht the witness wasn't too tired to make a wrong analysis or deduction?

ohhh!!!! U arrogant man! U think I am incompetent? Well I show u! Bring it on Mr.!!!!

K- I am perfectly fine. And I reassure U Mr. Lawyer tht my testimony wud not b affected by any factor.

S-Very well.... Miss Sinha r u aware how imp ur testimony is?

K-Yes

S-Are u also aware tht, this innocent man might be sent to jail based on ur testimony?

P (stands up and shouts)-objec-

K (evenly)-I believe tht he wud only go to jail only if he is guilty.. and if my testimony helps prove tht then yes I do know tht he might go to jail based on my testimony.

S (damm her insolence!) -then wud u still say tht he is the only one who cud have inflicted these wounds?

K- What I said was the name of the articles these wounds were inflicted with. And if only the accused had the sole access to them, then I wud deduce tht he inflicted these wound..

S-So if any one else did get their hands on these things tht person cud b the culprit too?

k- yes.. but these are private things and I don't expect a stranger to possess Mr. Deepaks nail!

S-But? I see.. if the nail was not in equation hypothetically.. Wud u say tht it was easy for someone else to get hold of these things?

K-...errr...yes..i..i belive so?

S-And wud it also b very easy if tht person was one who lives inside the house, like servant or the gardener.... ?

P- Objection my lord this line of ques. Is irrelevant it had been proved tht the sevants were all on leave tht day with perfect alibis.

J- Overulled I wud like to hear the ans. To this ques

K-Yes.. it wud b even easier for an inside person

S- A person who knew his habits well? As to when and where and at what time he left his cane or took off his ring?

K- aa..it wud be easier still..

S- Any person who knew Mr. Deepak well cud have easily snuck and inflicted those wounds which rendered her senseless?

K- Yes, but then there were no traces of another persons DNA on her other than MR. Deepak!

S- And her own skin?

K-Huh?

S- U said there were fragments of her own skin and hair under her nail?

K- Yes..but most of us have them..

S- But most of us don't have them in tht big amount and most of us are not dead.

K sulked on the stand while s continued

S- Ur honor I wud request a break now as I see some new developments, its nearly the lunch time may I be allowed a 15 min break?

Judge- Request granted. The witness shall remain under oath for further questioning. Court is adjourned till 1.15pm.

Bailiff ? All Rise!

K was escorted out of the room by the police while s stood there throwing her killer looks.

Ashok- Hey Bhagwan! Mujhe yakeen nahi ho raha ki kashish prosecution ki taraf se gawahi de rahii thi, usne bataya tak nahi!!!is ladki ko ho kya gaya hai!

s- uncle aap tension mat lijiye mujhe abhi ek idea aaya hai?

a-par usne joo kaha uske baad hum case kaise jitenge?

s- jo usne kaha uske baad hi hum case jeet payenge?.

S made some ph. Calls.. and when the court was in session again, he surprised every1 by his theory tht- person who killed Deepali was no one else but she herself!!!!

I ended up writing a very long part, so i hav decided to break it...now is any1 inerested in guessing how deepali died...and what happens next?

Hey meggs!! fantastic parts!!!! loved them completely!! as usual brilliant, loved both the parts....part 5 was just superb, loved there meeting in the party, it made me laugh 4 sure...lolzz poor sujal he was shockecd wen she was ignoring him but i guess thats wot got him atrracted to her and thats why he just couldnt get her out of his mind...waiting 4 sum romance between 2 and the date!! lolzzz.....and wot can we say bout the court case, taht part made me laugh wen she sed only if he had access t his skin and nails!! lolzzzz that was too funny!! cnt wait 4 the next part and this case seems pretty interesting, i dnt knw who could be the killer, i am guessing maybe it was deepak after all, lets see who it is!! waiting 4 the next part!! do update soon!!!!
