Hi there. Okay, don't throw chappals at me for doing this. he he I know I have another ff, for which an update is even due for sometime now but I couldn't help not penning this story down. This has been bothering me for a while now, more so because of the simplicity.......without any twists and tales surrounding it unlike my other ff. Its in fact very close to me as its based on the life of my brother and his love life. Lucky, he doesn't know about this else I am sure he wouldn't leave me alive exposing his tragedies like that. lol
And, writing this ff doesn't mean that I have forgotten my other ff, it is equally important for me. Infact, more important as its kind of how I started writing here but as I said I couldn't stop myself from posting this either. The writing style here might be a little different, and less formal unlike "Falling for You", so I hope you don't find this boring or anything like that. If you do, let me know at that instant itself so that I don't waste anyone's time here. :)
Here's the intro, please leave in your comments and let me know what you all think about it.
Thanks
Richa

~*Introduction*~
"Okay Mummy-Papa, I'll go now." He said glancing at his watch.
"Yeah beta, it is time for you to go inside. Else, the queue might get long." His dad, Mr. Lalit Mallik said with concern.
"Haan beta, make sure you have everything with you. Check the passport again, you kept it in your waist pouch na?" His mom, Mrs. Sheela Mallik said with warmth and care dropping from her eyes.
"Of course Mom, I have kept everything. Now you both don't worry, I am a grown up and I can manage everything myself." He said circling his arms around both his parents, and grinned, dazzling the heavily lit airport with his dimpled smile.
"Just pray they don't say anything about your luggage. These airlines' security should at least allow the students to carry more luggage, how can kids carry all their stuff and yet make it fall under 40 kg" Sheela gave a frowned expression to show her anger.
"Haan maata, ab main jaaon? Otherwise, I'll have to sit on the floor of the plane if all the seats of the plane get occupied." He smashed a grin, to which his mom gave him a pat on his shoulder.
He hugged his parents before bidding final goodbyes and held his trolley filled with all his suitcases and bags, with the aim of heading inside the airport. Pushing the trolley towards the entrance, he showed his ticket and passport to the security guards standing erectly. Waving for the last time in the direction of his parents, he made his way towards the Singapore Airlines check in counter.
"Lucky, the queue isn't that long" he said to himself, giving a tiny smile to play on his lips when he noticed only a woman standing ahead of him.
On his turn, he slid the trolley further to get his boarding pass. "Hey bhagwaan, I hope they don't say anything for the luggage weight. I swear if they ask for extra money to carry more weight, they will have a world war III right here. These money minded people..........always think of gaining some extra rupees in some or the other way. Lutere saale!" he groaned looking at the girl checking his passport details.
"Mr. Mallik.......Mr. Armaan Mallik?" she asked cross-checking his face with his passport picture, as if trying to scan two images simultaneously.
"Yes......" he gave a half-hearted smile, annoyed enough with his last wondering about the weight issue.
"Let's see your wait" she said politely.
"Ya, as if she'd pick me up in her arms to weigh my body. Is she planning to play catch catch with me.......hah" he laughed inside his mind, unwilling to share his private joke. Pulling the biggest suitcase from the trolley, he placed it on the weight measuring conveyor belt.
17 kg......the number flashed on the tiny screen at the corner of the counter.
"Phew..........two more to go" Armaan bit his lips thinking about the total weight of his bags.
Sliding the second bag down the trolley, he placed it on the same position where the previous bag, now vanished, was standing.
12 kg.........the screen lit again with those red coloured numbers.
"Phewww............that makes 29" he sighed with another air of relief.
Pulling the last bag out of the trolley, he grinned again closing his eyes to make a wish for the total weight to fall under the limit.
10 kg..............the final numbers appeared on the screen for the last time, breaking all the suspense and worry going on inside Armaan's mind, making him to smile widely.............showing all his white glistening teeth openly.
He leaned towards the counter "Uhhh.........I want the luggage to be transferred straight to Australia, Brisbane............not in Singapore where I'd be stopping over" he said paying attention to each word clearly, to which the girl at the counter nodded giving an approved smile.
Handing the passport and the ticket back to Armaan, she handed him with the two boarding passes; one from Delhi to Singapore and the other from Singapore to Brisbane.
"Have a nice journey Mr. Mallik" she said as Armaan collected the belongings.
"Thanks......." he smiled, pulling his bag over his shoulder.
"Australia...............here I come" he turned around flashing his dimples, making his way to the immigration.
