Raj looked at Riddhima, "Fine dork, what do you wanna talk about?"Riddhima smiled "YAY! Okay so I'm gonna ask you a few questions. First, who is this girl?" She pointed at the picture on his dresser. He smiled "my friend from work, she looks nice huh?" Riddhima smiled, "Yea." She took the picture and ran downstairs yelling "Moooommm!! Look what I found in Raj's room!" Raj ran after her, "Riddhima! Stop what the hell! Its not what you think." Riddhima laughed, "What is it then." Right then Riddhima's mom came running in "what did Raj do now?" Raj looked at his mom, "why do you always think I did something?" His mom looked at him "Ha ha. As if you don't know why." Raj explained to his mom that the picture of him and his colleague was nice so he kept it. His mom laughed. "Let me know when you need me to do anything in this case." Raj hugged his mom, and took his picture from Riddhima's had and stuck his tongue at her, as they did when they were young.

When Raj left Riddhima asked her mom "why did you let him go, I thought you were going to interrogate him." Her mom smiled at her and said "I raised you all with a lot of love and trust. When he is ready to talk about it, if it's a genuine feeling he'll come to me or you. And you are well aware of that." Riddhima smiled. "Okay. You are right. Mom I am gonna go over to Kum's place. Okay byeee"

On the other side Kumkum was stuck in Summit's strong arms. She asked him to let her go. He smiled "Sachi choor doon?" She smiled "nahi main chahati hoon kay aunty uppar aain aur humay aisay dekh lain." Summit smirked "oh ho bari daring ho gayi ho, mama ko awaaz doon?" She looked at him in the eyes, "sure" as she said that she put her arms around his neck, he felt a sudden jolt in his body; he grabbed her around the waist and lifted her up, and then put her down. She let go and said I knew you'd understand what I wanted. He smiled "for some reason my heart is able to process everything your heart desires, and I can't help but keep you safe and happy." She turned and hugged him and said "thora intizaar…phir hum hamesha saat hon gaye." She grabbed the file and ran out the door.

Summit fell back onto his bed. "Man I love her. I can't imagine my life without her, God always keep her safe and happy."

Muskaan and Rahul looked at each other just as she let go of the tight embrace. Rahul looked at her with tears in his eyes, "you don't know what you mean to me, I can't imagine one single day without you, and I will do what I can to get you cured, but before that I have to ask you a few things."

Muskaan looked at him confused, "sure ask away."

"Do you love me?" he asked her. She looked at him "koi shaak aaj kay baad?" And leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. He then asked her to meet him downstairs in 10 mins and that they'll go home together. She looked at him, as if she knew what he was thinking. "okay."

Rahul called up a few people. Muskaan went downstairs to the lounge waiting for Rahul. He came from behind her. "Boo!" Muskaan turned around "Rahul! Okay let's go. I'm really tired." They walked to the car together. Rahul was going to take her to her house where Riddhima, Arman, Kripa, Angad, Muskaan's brother- Aman, her sister Nina, Riya and Rohit had decorated the house with white and red flowers and candles, and hid in the bedrooms. Riya, Rohit, Nina and Aman hid in Nina's room. Kripa and Angad hid in Aman's room. Riddhima and Arman hid in the Kitchen. Rahul texted Arman "I'm gonna take her out for ice cream before I come." Riddhima sat on the kitchen counter waiting for them to come. As Riddhima sat there Arman looked at her and walked towards her. "So" he says. "How was your day?" Riddhima laughed. "It was great. And yours?" He said "It was good. Now it's great." Riddhima blushed as he continued to look at her. She got up "Let's light the candles now. Before Muski gets here." She called out "hey guys Rahul is on his way here, let's light the candles before they come. " Inside Angad fell over Aman's race car model on top of Kripa. Kripa started laughing. "Get off me u idiot! You're hella heavy!" Angad started laughing and rolled over to his side taking Kripa with him. She laid on top of him laughing at the situation. She rested her head on his chest then pushed herself up to get outside to help Riddhima. On the other side Aman, Nina, Riya and Rohit were playing monopoly in the room. When they heard Riddhima they packed up and headed put the door to help. All the candles were lit except the special one that was set outside of Muskaan's house. Riddhima went outside to light it, just then she heard a car heading towards the house. Arman came to the door "Riddhima hurry, he said he's here we gotta go hide." Riddhima nodded as she finished lighting the candle and walked away. Just as she was about to enter her dupata caught on fire. Arman ran towards her pulling her dupata off her shoulders saving her from any terrible incidents that could have taken place. She was saved; just her ankle was a bit burnt. Arman carried her inside locking the door as if no one was home. He sat her on the counter top in the kitchen. He texted Nina (everyone was already in their hiding spots already) from Riddhima's phone and asked if there was a first aid kit in the kitchen she told him it was in the 1^st drawer to the left. He took the 1^st aid kit out and looked for a burn cream. Just as he took out the cream, they all heard someone at the door.

Muskaan and Rahul were outside just on their way in. Muskaan saw the candle and a dupata thrown on the side. She got worried and ran inside but all she saw was a great decorated house. She looked at Rahul. He turned to her, and knelt down. "You love me and I love you. We both have jobs, and have the opportunity to get married. Will you marry me?" Muskaan who was all teary nodded her head no. "What? Why not?" She looked at him " I need to ask Riddhima first." He looked at her confused "Riddhima?" Muskaan looked at him "Yes. Riddhima is here. I saw her dupata and I know she must have planned this." Riddhima came limping outside. "Sorry Muski I tried to get u a good surprise but…" Muskaan looked at Riddhima "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!?!?""

She looked at Muskaan "Nothing just got a bit burned." …..

On the other side of town Avantika Sahani was at Riddhima's house. She was Riddhima's best friend, once upon a time. She was raised with Kumkum and Riddhima. She fell in love with Riddhima's cousin and didn't ever tell her. Riddhima found out from her Dad…

Avantika Sahani was back, this couldn't have been good-last time she was in Riddhima's life she had lost her happiness for days. Life always has its ups and downs and this may be the start of a down….

Riddhima found out about 4 years ago that Avantika and her cousin had loved each other and refused to marry anyone but each other. Avantika was very close to her they did everything together. She was always "protecting" Riddhima, but it was not always true. Well she claimed Riddhima was her best friend but people all over the world knew about this reality, but Avantika didn't trust Riddhima enough to tell her. Riddhima's dad asked her about this one day Riddhima responded "why would you even think like that dad. Of course it's not true." Her dad told her "maybe you should change your thinking because it is true."

This reality had hit her before her chemistry exam, she was at a hostel studying and her dad had called her and told her. She refused to accept this truth, but she thought about it and realized that there were so many hints why did she not notice. She got over it within days; she gave the situation the benefit of the doubt and told Avantika over the phone while she was at her hostel: "no matter what happens I'll always love you. Fine you didn't tell me, and I get that you think I have a big mouth, but if you ever need me I'll be right here." Avantika cried a bit and told her "I didn't know what to do. I still don't know what will happen. No one understands me." Riddhima said "I understand you and if I don't get something I'll find a way to make sure I get what happened." Her cousin Teji was a terrible person for the most part; he always abused people verbally and mentally. He never respected his own mother and treated her badly, but Riddhima always talked to him and taught him how to be a better person. He was a chain smoker and didn't care what people thought of him. One thing about him though, was that he was very smart. He was studying to be an Engineer.

He was 2 years younger than Avantika and she was still going out with him. Age is but a number.

In mid October all a sudden Avantika stopped talking to her, and so did Teji, even though he would call her every day after this whole confusion took place. Neither of them told her what happened-she asked them many times what happened, why this took place, but neither of them told her. Riddhima texted Avantika one day and asked her "what's wrong? Why did you stop talking to me? Did I do something?" Avantika responded "LOL." Riddhima upset and worried said "no really. For the sake of my sanity please tell me." Avantika didn't respond. Riddhima said "I'll remember your last answer for the rest of my life." And at the same time Avantika had sent her a message saying "what sanity. Stop harassing me."

That was the last time 4 years ago that Riddhima had talked to Avantika. She'd see her around but they never talked. Riddhima refused to even look her way.

Back to Muskaan's house- Riddhima told Muskaan that she had gotten burned by the candle outside, but it's really small. "You should tell Rahul you are ready to marry him." Muskaan took Riddhima to the side. "But you know what's wrong with me, how can I ruin his life." Riddhima giggled "Haha. I have watched Kal ho na ho. And I can tell you that is not your story. Trust me I have found possibilities to cure it, you are at a very early stage, we can take care of everything." Rahul walk up to her "Haan Muskaan hum hain na." Muskaan smiled "Yes, I will marry you." Rahul kneeled down and pulled out a beautiful silver ring with a heart shaped diamond in the middle of it and put it on her finger. Everyone clapped and wished them the best.

Riddhima smiled and Arman hugged her out of joy, a hug that was so warm and loving; she felt so safe in his arms they stayed that way for a few minutes. Riddhima felt that her happiness would be very short lived; she felt that sorrow was only around the corner.
