Chapter 47:

"Angad don't do anything rash! You do understand if you act physically with your father, you'll end up in jail and cause more pain to Naina mom than you thought possible?"

Angad glared at Kripa. Kripa touched his arms slightly, her arms shaking, trying to hold back the pain she felt for Naina.

"It's all over, he can never harm her again. She chose you, you Angad. You need to respect her decision and help her. Don't make it any harder than it is for her. She doesn't need to see the pity, sympathy and pain you have in your eyes. She only needs the love, and the right to be called your mother again. Do you hear me, love?"

Angad nodded, a small tight lipped smile gracing his lips. Gently, he lowered his head and kissed her once, twice, and thrice before exiting the building.

"Kripa? Was that Angad?" Karan asked, coming across the corner of the living room. Kripa nodded at him and carefully explained the event read in the newspaper.

Karan stared at Kripa for a moment longer, kissed her cheek and ran out the door after Angad. There was no way in hell, he would let Angad let his emotions take over, especially in a fit of rage, against his father. Things could get ugly, and he needed someone to help him understand right amongst wrong.

*****

"Hello? Naina mom? This is Kripa. How are you?"

"Things can be better sweetheart, but Im glad I made the right decision, better late than never. I'm headed towards your grandmother's home, I hope you wont mind, if I ask to meet you there. I don't think I'm quite ready to face Angad, especially after knowing he may have read the newspaper."

"Of course, I'll be right there Mom."

"Thank you darling."

"And Mom, take care of yourself; Angad and I both need you, as do your future grandkids."

"I love you sweetheart, your the perfect girl for my beautiful son. I'll see you soon."

Kripa sighed, and placed the phone on the counter. Her thoughts jumping to several conclusions and situations. Naina had been suffering physical and emotional abuse from Dilip, more emotional than physical. On top of which, she was forced away from her only son, Angad. Eventually her action pulled away the only peace and comfort she had. And now it was up to Kripa and the rest of her family to help them discover peace, and unity, once again.

I better get going, Kripa mumbled to herself and quickly reached for the keys as she ran out the kitchen.

Ten minutes later Kripa found herself at Dadi and Angad's home. Her future sanctuary, and second home. Today, things would be different. Today, they would become a true family. And she had no other positive or negative thoughts. Everything would change today.

Kripa knocked twice before she waited patiently. The door opened no second later, revealing a bruised and red-eyed Naina. Kripa's heart lurched into her stomach. The sight of her in such condition, only brought about more pain. There was a fading, yellow bruise right below her eye, a cut across her forehead, fresh handprints across her arms, and a fresh bruise across her left cheek. Kripa gasped, and pulled Naina into a hug.

"It'll be alright, Mom. We are here with you, and there is nothing anyone can do to change that." Naina nodded at her, and gently pulled her inside the door.

Hours went by, as Naina explained everything Dilip had put her through the years, the pain she felt from being away from Aaliya and Dilip including Dadi. They had been her sole reason to move forward, and slowly Dilip had taken everything away from her. Not today, not when she could finally find freedom.

The doorbell rang, just as Naina wiped her eyes and finished relaying the events of the last few years. Kripa hurriedly opened the door, only to find a panicked and upset Angad.

"Kripa, I can't find her!" Angad murmured, terrified of his own thoughts.

Kripa touched his cheek gently, calming him down instantly. "She's inside, love. Take it easy, show her nothing but your love for her. I love you, she loves you, Dadi loves you and we all love you. Never forget!"

Chapter 48:

"Mom?" Angad squeaked, his voice dripping with gratefulness and pain.

Naina gasped, and gently tugged at her tears, before turning towards Angad. "An..Angad, son? What are you doing here?"

Angad chuckled, "Mom don't tell me you forgot I live with you and Dadi here." His words confirming, the need to keep Naina close.

Naina smiled, despite her tears and pulled him into the tightest embrace, her weak and fragile arms could allow. That, however, did not stop her from showering her son with kisses. His acceptance of her, and the love in his eyes was proof that everything would be alright. Slowly but carefully they would mold back together the paradise of love they had created for themselves, long ago.

"Jeez everyone, I think I might fall into a sugar coma, with all the sweetness here!" Karan joked, his cheeks traced with tears. Naina turned towards him, chuckling. "And you my dear, have now become one of my many favorites. Thank you for everything, sweetheart!"

Karan shook his head, "for family, I'd do anything; welcome home Aunty!" He spoke, as he headed towards her into a full blown out embrace, then gently tugged her into the air as she squealed with surprise.

Angad turned to look at Kripa, his face full of joy, peace, comfort and hope. He had companions in each step, and had found the true peace to his heart. He had always been happy, but today the gentle twinkle in his eyes, the love written across his face, was nothing compared to his emotions the day before, or the day before. No day, and no one could compare with his beauty.

"I love you family!" Angad yelled, and pulled Naina, Kripa, Karan, and Dadi into a massive hug, before jokingly giving Karan a wet kiss across the cheek.

"EWW! Angad, get back here dude! I'm soooo going to beat the heck out of you! What happened to all of his maturity, it's as if he comes home and loses eighteen years off his real age! Dear Lord, help me! I'm not cut out for caring twenty-three year olds in my arms!" Karan screamed and dropped Angad to the ground.

Dadi looked one last at Angad and Karan before turning her gaze to Naina and erupting into a fit of laughter.

*****

"Angad I think you and I have a prolonged discussion. It's about time I tell you the truth about my relationship with your father, Jai, and Anjali. How about we head towards the living room and I will answer any further questions you have after a detailed explanation."

Angad nodded, fury blazing across his face. With his fist clenched, and jaw locked, Angad followed after her, sitting stiffly across from her, as she began.

"Angad I want you to know everything written in that newspaper is correct. I have decided I want out, if I no longer have the right to see my kids and am caged down by my husband, I have no reason to be with him. You and Aaliya mean the world to me. The only reason I had given Aaliya to my sister, despite her not having kids, was the fact that certain emotions and actions would course through Dilip everytime he saw Aaliya.

His face would contort into that of a monster, and I was not willing to put the life of my daughter at risk. I'm sorry I never told you the truth, dearest. Abuse relationships are of the worst kind, you tend to lose your entire identity, and reason for existence. Gradually, over time, that was exactly what was becoming of me.

Your father abused me for years, starting a month after your father discovered you were the rightful heir to your Dada's property. He forced me to chose between you and himself, at that time I was forced and powerless but to let you leave without a struggle. I never wanted to let you go, and if I had a second chance, I would go back in time and run away with you, away from everything Dilip had become and forced me to endure.

Eventually, along the way, Jai and Anjali became Dilip's family. I was pushed to extremes of a maid, treated like the worst creatures. It didn't matter to me. I only wanted to see you happy, and being alive gave me the hope that one day maybe I could hold your dear child in my arms. To tell Aaliya that I have loved her and continue to love her since the day I learned I was pregnant with her.

The night you came home for dinner after I begged you to come, Jai and Anjali were drunk and plotting with your father for any means of money. Although, there plans were unclear, it is true they want nothing but money. I'm glad your Dadi, has raised you into the gentleman you are today.

I love you Angad, and I want a promise from you, that you will not engage in any fit of madness towards your father. I do not want you anywhere near him, and neither am I willing to let you talk to him or ever speak of him. Do I make myself clear? You, Aaliya, Dadi, the Atkins and Kripa's family are the only family I have ever had."

Angad nodded, and pulled Naina into a hug.

Chapter 49:

Dark clouds were beginning to gather around the disappearing sun. A soft breeze and the rumbling of the wind were indication of the coming snowstorm. With nothing else to do, no frantic feast for Christmas, Black Friday shopping or wedding bells looming near, Kripa leaned near the rail of her balcony, but was once again, far too restless to concentrate on anything other than the past few days of December 2009. The year was coming to a close, but not without a last snowstorm. Somehow despite the past few months, the weather knew how to appear befor her, bringing joy and peace, grief and pain, but all in all giving her all she ever wanted.

And today was nothing less of the truth; the weather was a mere reflection of her emotions, not means of empathy or sympathy. It remained a clear glass wall of her emotional happiness. The first drop of snow had her jumping up and down, once again, like a five year ol. In minutes, the balcony was covered, with soft petals of white cotton balls. Kripa smiled and spun around, taking in the atmosphere, the smell of the fresh snow, the last of the year. It was utterly beautiful, enough of a distraction to have not noticed Angad's lingering gaze upon her.

Kripa stood in one end of the corner, listening to the heavy breeze of the wind, and counting the number of flakes that fell every two seconds. But halfway her mind had begun to drift. To land on none other than Angad, the pain he had endured in the last few months, the divorce of his parents, the happiness he found in having a true and complete family once again. Although she hated the feeling of incompleteness, and yearning to be in his arms, she knew she was loosing control. Even after nearly six years of knowing him, he was able to stir so many emotions inside of her, she would be lying if she refused to admit, she loved him more than anything life could offer her.

The moment Angad's skin would brush across hers or he would speak lovingly to her, all thought flew out the door. He conquered her heart, body, and soul. She was his for eternity. Every morning she would awake yearning to be in his arms, disgruntled from the blissful dreams of him. No words were exchanged between the two. Kripa had spun around like a child and was shocked to find him smiling to himself as he watched her. A slight brush had spread across her cheeks, even in this weather, the affect he had on her was marvelous. A smile was more than enough to stir her heart around or let a brush fall bright on her skin.

Every time she fell into thoughts of him, he would appear out of thin air. Every time he did, she knew he longed to be with her. Without her, he was incomplete, and the feeling was mutual. Sighing she glanced in his direction, distracted yet again by his handsomeness. At the moment she had gone speechless, he had been standing before her holding a pair of white roses, now slightly brushed with snow.

A squeal almost escaped her mouth, but there was no use of hiding her excitement. She loved white roses, red roses were not bad but she had always imagined the love of her life would bring her white roses, not red. Red was for typical love but white roses expressed forever, at least to her. "Are those for me?" Kripa questioned. Angad shook his head in agreement, "these are for my beautiful fiance," he murmured, his face breaking out into a handsome grin.

"And who might this beautiful fiance of yours be? You aren't cheating on me, now are you?" Kripa giggled. Angad rolled his eyes, watching with a look of amazement, a shade of mischief and cheekiness exchange places on her face.

"Of course not. Well as long as you don't tell my fiance, I'm cheating on her with this beautiful woman before me. I think we'll be alright, don't you think?" He winked back at her. Kripa burst into a fit of childlike laughter, and swatted his arm. "An-gad!" she squealed with delight as he leaned on one knee and presented her with her favorite roses.

"You look beautiful and these. These, are for you." he chuckled softly, resting his head in the hollow of her neck, briefly smelling the scent of her hair. Strawberries? Could she have been more appetizing at the moment? He already felt weak in the knees and now the smell of her shampoo, was driving him insane.

He stepped away and smiled at her, pleased with her acceptance. Immediately crushing his lips with hers. Her softness against his roughness, made the moment even more perfect. Kripa moaned and pulled away, blushing with her reaction. She knew he already had difficulty keeping his hands off of her, but she had accidentally or purposefully made it harder on him.

Angad looked hungry with love, a desire in his eyes to hold her and kiss her once more. But that would not happen, not until they were married. "You, Kripa will be the death of me! It's hard enough I have to wait for marriage, but sweetheart, you moaning at my touch, and kisses does seem to creating havoc with certain parts of my mind and body."

He chuckled as the words immediately registered upon Kripa's face. Her face laced with amazement, and embarrassment. A slight brush swept across her cheeks, as Angad pulled her in for one more kiss. The last kiss of 2009.

The clock struck 12:00 a.m., January 1st, 2010. Both could find no other means of celebrating the new year, but finding comfort in one another's arms.

Epilogue: [Angad's POV]

Life is blissful, and contempt. Sure, certain events and common misunderstandings can alter our viewpoints, it holds no value against the peace and comfort we find amidst our beloved family members and those we truly cherish. Though, it may have taken me longer to realize the mistake I had chosen to live with, it is true I have found nothing but my entire life in front of me, with peace. I love my grandmother, my mother, my beloved fiance, her entire family, and now my family.

Life is beautiful.

And today here I stand before my beloved, Kripa, ready to conquer the world as we present one another with our vows. Here I stand today, holding Kripa in my arms, as I promise to love her like no other, to cherish her beauty, her intelligence, her innocence and her existence until death do us part. I love her.

Who knew my constant ragging on a beautiful and overweight young woman would lead me to realize the woman of my dreams had always been there? I had failed to love her until after the day she had left. Now, I would not let her leave me, ever again.

Joanna and Neveah found beauty and peace in one another. Eventually, Joanna would find means of providing a caring husband, for herself, and a wonderful father for Neveah.

Aaliya and Josh they were engaged to be married, I love my little sister. To see her smiling in my best friend's arms brings me comfort. But I swear, if he ever hurts her, I wont even bother giving him a ten second warning. I don't care if he's my best friend, well I do, but I just wont tell him the former part.

Karan and Nandini have found peace with one another after the birth of their children. Its nothing but wonderful finding yourself amidst such people. Karan is my mentor, my friend, my brother-in-law, and a father figure. He means everything to me, just as he does to Kripa. What he brought to our lives, I will never be able to repay.

Mr. and Mrs. Atkin are one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. Although they are not family by blood, they are pure in their beauty and family by love. Family is stronger and greater by love, and I will gladly take that than any other thought another may have.

Surya Papa and Gayatri Mom are wonderful beings. They gave me the right to call them parents when all hope was lost. They gave me a second chance. They gave me Kripa. They gave me everything I have today, and I cannot be more thankful, for any of it.

And mom, my beautiful mom is spending time with my dearest grandmother; their relationship has changed, no longer are there quarrels or pain. Only love exists for them. Mom and Dadi are closer than ever before, my daughter and mother than daughter-in-law and mother-in-law.

And then there is Dad, he's spending a few years in jail, along with Jai and Anjali. Not only because of fraud but the abuse they had thrown upon mom. I hope they find their peace, because they have no share in mine. It's true, karma will come back and get you for how you treat others. So be caring, loving and respecting towards others. You just might find everything that you needed, was always there.

In the past lies the troubles and pain we have brought upon our own. In the past lies the death of Marie Anne, a beautiful child who was taken far too early. It makes you wonder, however, God created this world, and had a reason for every person to carry a certain mission, task. Marie Anne had accomplished hers, God took her away. One day, all of us will be gone, it'll bring pain, but soothes the soul to know she is nothing but loved in the arms of the Holy one, our Father.

Life truly is beautiful.

The end! Please leave comments! And I hope you like the end to Undesirable! [Started August 2008 and ended December 2009]! I'm going to miss writing this ff so much! This was my favorite!
