REX IN LOVE OR SMART MOVE?

It is been shown for some time that Rex is opening his heart to show his love for rupu darling .But is he serious about the whole thing or it is just another play to get the attention of the public or to distract rupu from winnning the fame jodi.I beleive it is the latter because if he was really serious about her and would have gone for record saying tht he want her to be fame jodi.He just wanted to show the people that how romantc he is and an ideal man for the jodi.But this isn't the case.I think it is a way to distract her and loose her course to reach fame jodi.Is Arpita also behind this tatics as I cant beleive Rex has that much brain to think smartly
